HP C5580 Printer feeds one blank page before actually printing

Good morning,
For the record I am using a Compaq Presario AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3300+, 2411MHz/1.93 GBs RAM, running Windows Xp Home, SP3., with IE8.
For the past few months I have been using a HP Photosmart C5580 All-In-One printer and I am more than satisfied with its performance.
However, the past few weeks I have noticed that when I print anything the printer will send out a 'blank' page before it actually starts printing my job.
This isn't the end of the world but I am curious (1) why this just started to happen in the last couple of days and (2) is there a setting I can change to stop this blank page from preceding all my print jobs?

Update: It appears my problem is solved. Somehow my paper wasn't lined up correctly. Once I took care of that the blank page no longer kicked out first.

I understand that you are having issues printing, after some documents you are getting blank pages. I would be happy to help you.
I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
What application are you printing from?
It may be a setting in the application.
Does this happen from all applications?
Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. http://www.hp.com/go/tools>Using HP Diagnostic Tools for HP Printers in Windows.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)

HP 7280 outputs a blank page before every page printed

Newly-installed 7280 works fine, but everytime something is printed, it outputs a blank page before every printed page. This is true whether printing from Word, IE, Outlook, Quicken, Photoshop, etc.
I have checked all likely culprits in the printer dialog boxes, including clearing the Separator Page option.
Any thoughts?

are your computers running windows XP or Vista? because in Vista, if it uses the pre-installed drivers that come with the OS, then it prints blank sheets between the printed sheets. if you install the driver from the CD directly, then it has resolved the issue a lot of times for me.
so to the properties of the printer, and go to the Advanced Tab, and click in New Driver. and in teh wizard, select HP Photosmart 'C7200' and not Photosmart '7200' (considering it is the Photosmart C7280). that should work.

Print blank pages befor content starts

Hi,
While printing html through content editor web part. It prints blank pages before content starts.
I have images in my html document.
When I set the width of img to 400 px it works fine..
but if I say width:100% it prints so many blank pages extra before content starts.
Anybody has any idea?

Hi,
In HTML 4.01, the width could be defined in pixels or in % of the containing element. In HTML5, the value must be in pixels. Please check whether the image in a html5 page.

L7680 Ejects Blank Page before and after print job

My L7680 recently started to eject a blank page before and after a print job; seperator page option is NOT selected. I tried all the suggested trouble shooting points in the HELP section but none have solved the issue.

The setup button on the printer had a choice to return to all factory defaults - that solved the problem but it does take yoiu back to starting again to set other choices you may have made since starting toi use the devise.

No I didn't even read through your post, to long.
You said that "No matter what program I try to install, as soon as the installer opens it crashes". Were you talking about the install for this/these 3D programs or ANY program? As it is worded it sounded like ANY program. That tells me there is a problem with your Mac, software or hardware.
Now you say others install programs, which is it. Programs other then the 3D ones install or no programs install?
Could simply be your Mac is to old to run these programs and the installer knows that. You never said what model or year Mac it is.

Print scaleType:showAll, generates 2 pages, the correct page and one blank page

So I have a the following function:

It seems to kind of work. However when it prints, it creates one page that is the right page, and one page that is blank. This isn't going to work for me because I have to run batches of many pages, so having every other page as a blank page isn't an option.
Additionally, my goal was to print multiple pages in one printJob for batch reports. This unfortunately doesn't seem like it is going to work. I was able to make a component that essentially would repeat container.addChild(printableInvoice) for each index in an object, each printableInvoice containing some dynamic concept, however I can't for the life of me get it to print like this.
So the current solution is annoying because for each invoice you have to go through the print dialogue again. Any Ideas? I realized I could do multiple printJob.addObject() calls, but this doesn't work for me because of the blank page issue.... So I either need to solve the blank page issue or generate a UI object that has multiple printableInvoices in it and print that UI object.
Any help?

This is the flow, I don't see how it could be adding twice. The important stuff happens when the printAll(); function is run.

I use PSC1410 and the problem is after finishing the printing job each time it pulls one blank page

I have PSC 1410, page is pulled at the begining and the check paper as well as the check cartridge LED blinks. To start the print job I have to wait for the page spool and after I hear the first page spool sound then I have to load the paper immediately to the paper try and the print job starts perfectly, after the end of print job it pulls one blank pageand the check paper LED blinks and I have to cancel the print job.

Crystal report is printing one blank page with every report print

I have A/R invoice report in crystal report and sometime it has 3 pages out of which 2 are blank and sometime there are 2 pages out of which 1 is blank except page header, first page is sufficient for all my A/R invoice stuff rest are blank pages except page header at top of the page and ya i have one subreport at page footer.
please throw some light on this.

It has just three field from some UDT and fetching just three values under each field.
is it sub report or could be anything else.

Deskjet F4240 All-in-one - BLANK PAGES

Hi - I have a HP DESKJET F4240 All in one printer. When I print a page from Word, notepad or even try to print a test page it acts likes it printing but all I am getting are blank pages. I have pulled out the usb and power cord, waited a minute and put back in, restarted my computer, everything they say online and I still can't seem to make it work. Wondering if anyone has any advice? Thanks

wish i could help , we have an officejet, 4260 and it half the time does the same, or it will consantly kick out a blan with a printed one. don't understand why the amount of money they make off public for there expensive items , why they can't make them more wothwhile , we have made up our minds when we no longer have warrantys we are going to the Emachines Products they are the best made. and work well, we now many with them and has had no problems for all the yrs they have owned one.

When launching Firefox, I always get a message that my previous session cannot load, even though I always go to a blank page before shutting down the program.

When I open the Firefox browser, it tries to reload the last page/tab I was on before shutting down the program the last time. My home page is a blank page, and I always go to that before shutting down.

I have had exactly this problem - Firefox - version 11, but when I updated all my plug-ins (go to Customize Firefox - about halfway down - '''''Check your plugins''''') and restarted Firefox the problem vanished. Hope this helps as this seems to be a fairly large issue.

No, you can't change that; it's all in the web site itself and whether or not you see it depends on the amount of content to be processed before the page can be drawn, as well as the version of Safari that you're using, since some older versions could be modified to shorten the time between requesting the site and starting to draw the page.

How do I stop Firefox from opening a blank page before my selected PDF viewer opens a pdf email attachment?

When I receive an Outlook PDF attachment and open it, Firefox starts and a blank page opens. After Firefox has opened and the blank page opens, the PDF viewer I am using opens the PDF. I have the options settings set to use Filecenter.exe as the PDF viewer. I have changed this to use adobe and the blank page still opens. I have set Firefox to be the default viewer but Firefox will not open PDFs created by certain CAD programs. I would like for this blank page to stop opening in Firefox. Does anyone have a solution to correct this problem?

Cannot print from the web although everything else prints ok - when asked to print I get one blank page then nothing

1) Go to Print Preview
2) Print
3) Name: HP PSC 2100 series (depend on your printer)
4) Properties...
5) Paper size: letter
6) Change to Paper size: A6
7) OK
8) Repeat step 4 again
9) Change back again Paper size: letter
10) OK
11) Don't print, but go back to Print Preview again and see if it works
This is the one that have work for me after trying several times modifying about:config with no success. Good luck and hope that will help.
