    Hi, I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit OS installed and I have downloaded and installed all drivers from hp website shown specifically against my "HP ProBook 450 G2 NOTEBOOK PC" Device manager shows that all the drivers are installed correctly I have installed the driver for the fingerprint scanner from this file p66915.exe. So far i couldn't see anything happening with the Fingerprint scanner. On Device manager under "Biomatric" it is showing as Validity Sensor with driver version 4.5.133.0 with the device status "This device is working properly". But in Control Panel under the "Biomatric Devices" it is saying that "Windows did not find any biomatric devices on this computer. You might need to attach your device or install device drivers" What am i missing? to enable the fingerprint scanner. From some blog, i could see that its asking to install "HP Device Access Manager" , which i have downloaded from HP site again. But this time, when i tried installing "sp65592exe", it gives me an error saying "This security application cannot be installed until the HP Client Security Manager  or later is installed."I couldn't find any link for the same which is having a version that is greater than 8.1.  I have also tried installingDigital Persona Identity and also HP Simplepass 8.0  but with no luck Please help me out for the same.  Regards, Sanoob

    Thank you paul. This one did trigger the finger print scanner and allowed me to enroll my finger prints and also enables to log on with it to the system. Still strange that, why it is showing like this on control panel  Thank you though...

    Recently I uninstalled the Hp Client Security Manager on my folio 1040 because the fingerprint scaner stopped working and when I tried to log into it I got an error. I can't remember what the error was. So I uninstalled it and I can't find how to get it back.

    I've recently installed HP Client Security and find usefull accessing the PC using my finger: it works.But I got a problem accessing all USB Drivers.   • Saving Password for a pdf file in HP Client Security Manager

    Hello,
    I want to save the password for a pdf file in the Password Manager of the HP Client Security Manager Software but the symbol for the entry of the password is not appearing on the top right of the screen. If I use the registered fingerprint a dialog opens where the Client Security Manager asks which account it should use to login. But i can't add a password for the file. The login for websites is perfectly fine. 
    Do you have any idea how to fix that?
    Is there a way to manually enter password for files?

    Or you could try to delete all the files,
    Find Client Security Solution in user profile folder (Search hidden), and delete them all.
    And restart system.
    Before doing this, remember to export passwords

  • HP Client Security Manager

    Hi the HP Client Security is a major problem for me. I have set up all the normal credentials etc but wherever I go to log on a website the Password Manager icon does not present on the screen for me to enter the details of my username and passwords. I ahve tried this on many sites and the icon does not appear therefore I cannot use the Client Security. I even uninstalled adn installed the lates version and still the icon does not appear on the screen when logging on to various websites. Any help much appreciated thank you!!

    "Get Windows 10" download has informed me that I will need to uninstall HP Client Security Manager in order to get the Windows 10 download.The encryption and other safety features on my laptop are of primary importance to me and my firm.Is HP going to provide a new updated version of the software to be compatible with Windows 10?If so how and when will it be made available?

    Hi: This is a peer to peer forum. No one here can answer questions such as yours (any questions directed to HP). I would see if the latest Client Security Manager software will work with W10. Install this and see if it passes muster with the Windows 10 advisor. This version is still valid for W7, so you can try it now. http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=ob_148454_1 This is an even newer version, but it is only good for W8.1. http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=ob_149745_1 It is highly doubtful that HP will be releasing any drivers or software for W10 until after it is officially introduced to the public. That has been their usual method of releasing drivers and software when new operating systems come out.

    HP Client Security Manager works for Windows login/unlock in Windows 8.1, but is not working with IE11.  Is there a way to disable HP Client Security Manager in IE11, but still keep the finger print reader for Windows login/unlock?  Firefox and Chrome are working without HP Client Security Manager and I would like IE11 not to use it either. You reply to the password prompts not to remember a site, but it still prompts everytime anyway.  Never worked this way in the Windows 7 version.. Thanks

  • X61 - Vista Business - Client Security Solution Error - There was a problem connecting to the TPM

    During startup my x61 has been displaying the following message, 'Client Security Solution' - "There was a problem connecting to the TPM (security device) ont his computer. It is possile that anti-virus or firewall software is blocking the connection. A missing or disabled device driver could also cause this problem. Please refer to the online documentation for more information".
    I have spent an extraordinary amount of time and effort to find identify the cause and a solution for this problem. It occurs whether or not virus software is enabled or disabled and numerous calls to Lenovo, Symantec, Kaspersky, and Microsoft have resulted in finger pointing and no answers. None of the vendors acknowledge the problem yet this same issue is a significant topic of concern as found in various blogs and 'help' sites. Lenovo thought it was hardware and changed the motherboard. Lenovo told me to call Microsoft since it was a Vista issue. Microsoft told me to call Lenovo since Vista Business was preinstalled on the machine. Lenovo told me to call Microsoft and so it goes. I removed Symantec's anti-virus and replaced it with Kaspersky.
    The strangest thing is that the module works intermitently and it seems that everytime a Lenovo update is performed (via Thinkvantage) the problem reoccurs for sometime.
    Does anyone out there have an understanding of the cause and a potential solution???

    I have the same problem on an X 60 platform, which only surfaced in the last two weeks subsequent to running all of the Lenovo updates.   Prior to this, I had reinstalled all programs, starting with the Recovery Disks for the Think Pad.  Everything, including start up, was exceptionally fast.  Once I ran the most recent BIOS updates, along with several others, this error message surfaced.  It is intermittent, however, and I have not noted an issue.

  • Advanced Security manager- Error Initializing the Essbase API.

    Hi,
    I have installed  OLAPUnderground> Advanced Security manager for exporting all the User security.  when i try to click connect it throws a connection error "error Initializing the Essbase API, cannot connect." Has any one seen this error before? please let me know if i am missing anything.
    We are currently using  11.1.2.3.500.

    Sounds like you have not created the windows environment variable:
    ESSBASEPATH
    D:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\common\EssbaseRTC\11.1.2.0
    That is just an example path update to match your environment

  • Security Manager Error

    Hi! I'm using a security manager in an application. After I install the security manager it is not able to open a server socket. I'm including the code here. What am I doing wrong??? Its a very simple Seccurity manager where I'm just preventing read/writes/deletes on two files.

    Without doint indepth research I would guess that the default for all permissions is "forbidden". This would mean that you had to enable everything you need.

  • Client Security Solutions error on new windows 7 install

    Work Laptop, IT guy installed Windows 7 on a hard drive and just switched out the drives.  Trying to get eveything back to the way it was on my XP system.  All I really need is the password manager with fingerprint access.
    When I open the Client Securtiy Solution I get an error:
    The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) has been configured for an operating system other than Windows Vista or Windows 7. To use TPM in Windows Vista or Windows 7, clear TPM in the BIOS Setup Utility.
    Where is the BIOS Setup Utility?  Well,  I got into the BIOS Setup Utility by pressing the blue thinkvantage at start-up, but was very hesitant about changing anything.  There was nothing that said clear TPM or similar - what exactly do I need to clear.

  • Client Security Solution error - Device not installed

    After the latest update, the TV Fingerprint Software version 5.9.5.7038 was installed. Since then, the fingerprint scanner works well to start up, but if I open an Internet Explorer page which is password protected, instead of the scanner coming up, I get this message:
    "The requested operation requires fingerprint authentication, but the device is not installed. Please make sure the device is connected and retry the operation."
    Is there a fix for this? If not, is there a way to roll back to the previous version of the fingerprint software? Everything worked perfectly until this update.
