  • Color Laserjet 4500 on Windows 7 - 64 bit Share with XP - 32 bit Need Additional 32-bit Drivers

    Here's the setup:
Desktop: Windows 7 Professional - 64 bit with Color Laserjet 4500, shared, connected and working fine. The name of the driver is HP Color LaserJet 4500 PCL 5.
Laptop: Windows XP Professional - 32 bit.
No network problems. Laptop sees the printer, but can't connect without the correct additional 32-bit drivers installed on the desktop. The only drivers I've been able to find are listed here. When I try to add under host printer properties/sharing/additional drivers, none of the downloaded .inf files are accepted.
Since Windows 7 installed a perfectly good 64-bit driver, there must be a compatible 32-bit driver that cab be added to allow the XP laptop to connect to this printer- but I have not been able to find it!
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

I would suggest installing the PCL6 driver on your XP machine, then on the XP machine do the following:  Start, Settings, Printers and Faxes, Add a Printer, Next, Local Printer, Next, Create a Port, Local Port, \\Computername\Printername (use the actual share name for the computer and printer), OK, Have Disk, point to the directory where the driver was installed (default C:\clj4500pcl6win2kxp).

This is a working printer. It is presently hooked to a network and it works from it. I am trying to make it work from my notebook. I am using a ethernet cable wired directly to the Jetdirict card.
Do I need to set up a network. I know the IP of the printer and can not access it from the Notebook.
This should work for you.  I've installed several printers using a Jet Direct this way:
Install the printer manually.  Go into Devices and Printers -> Click "Add a printer" then select "add a local printer" and select the option for "Create a new port - Standard TCP/IP Port" and click next.  Type the IP address of the printer into the Hostname/IP Address field then click "next" -  Choose Hewlett Packard Jet Direct from the Standard drop down menu then click next.  You will need to select your printer model/driver from the list and then click next.

  • Color Laserjet 2600n Toolbox - Windows 7 64 Bit

I'm having trouble finding the HP Toolbox.    I have a Color Laserjet 2600n.   OS is Windows 7 - 64 Bit.  When I print checks, I notice a slight shadowing of the numbers.  Thinking it may need cleaned, but I cant find my toolbox anymore and have to tried to look online.  I saw something regarding there was no toolbox for Windows 7.  Is this still the case?  When I print on paper everything looks fine.  Also, anything I print that has red in it doesnt not print very well.  This has been a problem for several years.   I had XP until March 2013 and then got a new computer.  Before the computer switch I cleaned and aligned the printer several times, but still no red print.
    Thanks,

  • Driver for HP Color LaserJet CP2025 for Windows 7 64 bit

I just purchased an HP Color LaserJet CP2025  for my computer running Windows 7, 64 bit as an OS. The driver disk does not include that OS and the Driver Support page does not specify which driver to use in order to take full advantage of the automatic two sided color printing capability. Any help out there?

I am having the same problem! Please share if you find an answer.

I have two hp color laserjets.  Toolbox cannot be installed with windows 7 pro.  Toolbox worked well with windows xp pro. How can I determine amount of remaining color toner and other necessary information without toolbox.  There is no toolbox upgrade on the hp website.

The product you have seems to be a commercial printer. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!
You may find the Commercial Laserjet board here.

  • Automatic Duplex Printing not working on HP Color LaserJet 3600DN in Windows 7. It worked before.

I have an HP color laserjet 3600 DN on Windows 7.  This computer came w/ Windows Vista and a 3600DN driver was installed and the computer was upgraded to Windows 7.  The printer did automatic duplex printing.
At one point, my computer indicated that it could no longer find the printer.  In an effort to solve this problem, I uninstalled the printer. When I tried to reinstall the printer the computer could not find the driver. At that point I tried to download a windows 7 CLJ 3600 DN driver.  Since HP doesn't provide this driver for Windows 7, I tried to download the Windows Vista driver for 3600DN.
However, when I go to the appropriate webpage by following the links, only drivers for Color Laserjet 3600 are listed (no 3600DN drivers).
As far we can tell it only allows Manual Duplex printing (no automatic duplex printing).  Clicking the "Two Sided Duplex Printing" option is there but only works when the "print on both sides (Manual)" is set on the Finishing page.  If manual is turned off, then it becomes single sided.
Can I get a driver that will allow me to do automatic duplex printing on on my HP CLJ 3600 DN using Windows 7?

How did you replave the duplex belt? How to deassemble the backside of a officejet and click the new belt on? I can't see nor do it y self

  • Color LaserJet 2500N on Windows 7

I recently upgraded from WinXP Pro to Win7 Pro.  The driver for the Color LaserJet 2500 installed
and the printer is working.  BUT....I can only print in Black and White, not in color.  I hooked up the
printer to a different machine still running XP and it prints in color fine.  So the issue is definitely the
Win7 driver.  I looked in HP support but couldn't find a Win7 specific driver is there one, or is there
    some work around ?

We had the same problem at my office today. Remove your printer from your computer printer list. Then choose add printer, choose windows update to update list of printers. Select "HP 2500C Series Printer", that worked for us. We now have color. Hope that helps.

  • Drivers for color laserjet 5m printer (windows XP)

My computer crashed and burned - had to reinstall Windows XP - can't find right drivers on HP website for my Color laserjet 5  (c30991)   Any suggestions on were to go?

The windows 8 driver for this printer should be available in late January. Please bookmark this site and visit it for up to date information. Also located on this site are links to documents for the network workaround and the in-os document.
Laserjet Printers supported in Windows 8
Install HP print software via a network in Windows 8
As a test, I did install this using the windows 7 drivers, it printed fine but I received a pop up giving me an error printing but it still printed. I then used the network work around to shut the bi-di off and the pop up went away, again it printed fine. I would suggest if you use the windows 7 drivers, that you upgrade to the windows 8 drivers when they are available.

  • HP Color LaserJet HP 3600DN Windows 7 drivers (32 bit and or 64 bit)

This just seems outrageous....... it seems that no drivers for the HP3600 series printer for Windows 7 (32 bit or 64 bit).   Can't find anything, from the few post I have seen, no response from HP, or others that the printer is not supported ????  a printer that is only a year and a half old!?  Don't know why I purchase HP printers if HP does not intend on supporting them.  This is the second (yes, second) HP printer I have had this happen to - totally inexcusable.  I seriously don't think I will purchase another HP printer (work or personal) if HP does not support their hardware.  At this stage, ready to get rid of my HP laptop or anything that has an HP logo on it.
Now that I have vented, is there ANY simple solution to make my non functional HP 3600DN printer work with Windows 7 (64 bit) - or am I just forced to retire a 16 month old printer and purchase another brand that supports their hardware? Thanks,

I posted in that thread as well....it seems the Vista 64 dirvers do work but as telee mentioned, the grayscale function does not (it seems to print the reverse...what's white is black and what's black is white), kinda like a negative. Not only does this waste toner, but it's not a useable print.
Most of my work is done in colour anyway....and any black print is normally condusive to printing text, so the grayscale problem has not really affected me much.
Having said that, I am sure one day when I need to print in grayscale I am going to probably start punching the wall because I won't be able to reproduce a proper print.
I really do hope HP creates Win 7 drivers for the 3600 CLJ. Having worked for HP I can tell you that it usually has nothing to do with not being able to "do it" from a programming perspective....the decision to not support a product when a new OS comes out is normally from a product lineup perspective wherein HP wants you to spend money to buy a newer printer....one in a similar price range that would probably end up costing you more from a cost per page perspective....which equals $$$ on toner sales.
HP makes money on ink and toner...and many times printers are sold at cost and sometimes even at a loss.

  • Color laserjet 2840 and windows 8.1

Hi, i am running HP Pavillion dv9700 entertainment notebook.
Just finished clean installing windows 8.1
    Running great so far.
Before i switched from Vista 32 to Windows 8.1 i used this same printer on my machine and i used a software suite from HP called something like (HP Solution center), which allowed me to manage my all-in-one printer functions (print, copy, fax) through a single user interface.
My q, is there a similiar package i can use in windows 8.1.
By default, i can find nothing, and i don't have the solution center software to install again.??
    Any advice.
