HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni toolbox error

HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni, when I try to open the toolbox, I get an error message, "HP ToolboxFX has encountered an error and can not recover.  Please restart HP Toolbox FX, or restart you PC."  I have restarted my PC and it hasn't changed the situation.  I don't know how to restart the toolbox as it suggests.  How is this done?

I have the same problem.  Have you found a solution? My printer is LAN-attached. My OS is Windows Vista.

  • [HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni] Stopped printing black ink documents when Magenta toner finished

    Hi there,
    I have a HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni.
I just printed about 200 pages of black ink documentation.  The black ink cartridge is still about 38% full.
Although none of these printouts involved colour, the printer started flashing the message: "Replace magenta cartridge".
Since then, it would no longer print.  Again, I am only attempting to print black ink docs, and I even tried turning off the colour print option to no avail.
The printer queue on my macbook shows the doc as 'printing' and 'sending', and then it disappears, with nothing happening on the printer itself.
If I push the 'X' button on the printer, it says 'cancelling print' or something like that.
Is there any way around the problem of the printer not printing anything once one of its cartridges runs to empty, even though the printjob does not need that colour cartridge?
    Thank you!
    Steve

How can I find the Toolbox FX on Windows 7 Professional? I can only find information about Windows XP and Windows Vista. When I  go to my Start button, and go to All Programs , there is no HP option or folder;therefore,I can't find the Toolbox FX.
My printer ran out of magenta toner, but all I want to do is print in black ink (which I have plenty of).
    Can anyone please help me?

  • HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni - Network connect on Windows 7 64-bit operating system.

For a temporary fix, I've connect an HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni for network use by my department.  The printer is printer over the network, but it is not printing in color - just black and white/grayscale.  The demo page prints in color, but nothing sent over the network will print in color.  Is there a fix for this?

  • HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni & Windows 7 via network

I have a HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni connected to the network, not via a USB cable. How to I setup this printer so I can print to it from my WIndows 7 machine? Will HP be coming out with anything other than the Universal Print Drivers for this printer? If so, when?

The full feature download for your printer supporting windows 7 will be available for your product in late January 2010.

  • Hp color laserjet cp1518ni color does not align???

I recently posted at the beginning of the month saying I was having problems with my hp color laserjet cp1518ni and the whole left side printing blurry.  After cleaning the rollers, running it through the cleaning mode, restoring the defaults and calibrating the colors, it miraculously worked.
But less than a month into the fix and I am once again having problems.  I have done all of the following (I have windows vista 64bit):
*updated firmware and confirmed that it is updated to most current version 20120110
    *restarted computer
*turned off printer - more than once
*disconnected printer - more than once
*restored defaults - more than once
*calibrated color - more than once
*run it through the cleaning mode - more than once
I have taken each toner cartridge out and carefully placed them back in again making sure they were firmly in place.
My husband has tried connecting it to his computer and printing it, but has gotten the same results.
I was trying to print out a job when I noticed that the color was horribly off from what was on my computer screen.  Since I was 5 prints away from needing to change the cyan cartridge, I changed it, thinking this would fix the color.  Not only did it not fix the color, but that's when the alignment problems started happening.  I am so completely frustrated.  It is ridiculous to have this kind of problems with a printer every time you try to print and I've spent the last 3 hours fighting with it.
I am absolutely, without a doubt, certain it is the printer.  I don't know what it is, with the printer, so if anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it.  I just opened a 3 pack of toner (to put the cyan in) so now not only can I not use the printer, but I am out money for the other 2 toners.
The reason I know it is the printer, is because I finally I printed the same exact piece I had been printing on the hp color laserjet cp1518ni that looked horrible in both color and color alignment, onto a Canon MG6120 inkjet.  The color was exactly as it appeared on my computer screen and there were no problems with misalignment.  I just prefer to do my jobs on laserjet printing, so this is frustrating to have a large, expensive doorstop in my computer room.
    Any help is much appreciated.

I wanted to add one more thing, as I was looking through the Resolving Print Quality Issues page
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01691481&tmp_task=solveCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc...
I have printed out a Diagnostics Report and it's obvious that there is a problem. Under Solution #11, it tells you how to
Identify and replace the problem print cartridge
Because it allows you to print and see:
The page prints five bands of color, which are divided into four overlapping sections. By examining each section, you can isolate the problem to a particular print cartridge.
I have done a search on my computer for:
HP Color LaserJet CP1510 Series ToolboxFX and it does not come up. I am able to do everything through the printer itself (run the cleaning mode, etc), but as far as finding anything on my computer under a folder, there doesn't appear to be anything.
I'd like to be able to print out these pages so that I can see which colors are giving me problems. Is there a way to do that from the printer?
    Thank you!

  • I can't change the display language on my HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni

I have a HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni printer that I inherited from an employee who is no longer at the company. The display screen on the printer is not showing in English, it's in some language I do not recognize (and neither does anyone else). I want to change the display language to English but the manual only shows you how to do that on the display, which I cannot read because it's not in English, hence my dilemma. Does anyone know of a way to change the display language through the computer?
    Thanks

    InventoryLady,
Yes that is what I did.  I do not know the language that it is currently set at, so the recommendations were from using the front panel menu. The OK button is the OK button on the front panel, that would not be in another language, it is the button in between the left and right arrow- See image below #6:
Once you have hit the OK button, you can complete the steps in my earlier recommendation. Again because I do not know which language it is currently set at, I am guiding you the best I can. As for selecting the English language, I suggest using Google Translate to find out which language it is currently set at and see what their word for English is.
If you have any more questions, please let me know.
    Thanks,

  • HP Color LaserJet 2500 Toolbox

My HP color laserjet users manual refers to the "HP Color LaserJet 2500 Toolbox" for performing maintenance on the printer, like cleaning, etc.  However I have not been able to find this program.  Google searches bring up sites claiming to have it for downloads, but when I download I always get something else.  Search of the HP site doesn't seem to get me anywhere either.
Where do I get this program?  I would have expected it to be on my installation CD, but it does not seem to be there. I would also expect it to be on the HP site, but I cannot find it.

Hi, I am having the same problems. The original install cd does not give you the HP 2500n toolbox under Window 7. How do I find out how much toner there is left in each of the colour cartridges. The toolbox would give you detailed info on there status. I have downloaded all the available drivers, but no success. It does print ok, but this usefull tool does not seem to work. If anyone can help please leave a message. May be some techy guys who read this, may offer a few pointers. Thanks

  • HP Color Laserjet CP1518ni color alignment problem

Hi,  We bought an Hp Color Laserjet CP1518ni printer about 6 months ago,  It worked fine until recently, when the colors started printing out of alignment.  We tried calibrating and we updated the firmware to the latest one available on HP's website.  This did not help.  We contacted the supplier we bought it from, since it is still under warranty, but they told us to contact HP directly.
    What should we do now?

I have the same problem.  Very disappointed in HP

  • Color Laserjet 2600n Toolbox - Windows 7 64 Bit

I'm having trouble finding the HP Toolbox.    I have a Color Laserjet 2600n.   OS is Windows 7 - 64 Bit.  When I print checks, I notice a slight shadowing of the numbers.  Thinking it may need cleaned, but I cant find my toolbox anymore and have to tried to look online.  I saw something regarding there was no toolbox for Windows 7.  Is this still the case?  When I print on paper everything looks fine.  Also, anything I print that has red in it doesnt not print very well.  This has been a problem for several years.   I had XP until March 2013 and then got a new computer.  Before the computer switch I cleaned and aligned the printer several times, but still no red print.
    Thanks,
    pdl2

I would suggest installing the PCL6 driver on your XP machine, then on the XP machine do the following:  Start, Settings, Printers and Faxes, Add a Printer, Next, Local Printer, Next, Create a Port, Local Port, \\Computername\Printername (use the actual share name for the computer and printer), OK, Have Disk, point to the directory where the driver was installed (default C:\clj4500pcl6win2kxp).

  • HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni STOPPED WORKING!

Will the print driver for HP Color LaserJet CP151ni be included with the MAC OS X 10.6 updates anytime soon? I just bought this printer two months and what a waste if it will not be supported by the updated OS. Really disappointed! Need to print....!

Never mind. Just realized that it was a network issue. Was able to use the included driver with the 10.6 OS (CP1510 series)

  • HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni - Colour Alignment Issue

I'm having an issue with the alignment of the different colours with my HP CP1518ni printer. Basically the colours don't really print in the same spot, like the Red(Magenta) printing is never aligned with the Black / Yellow / Blue(Cyan) (so I can have Red text with a Black/Yellow shadow 0.5-1 mm below or Blue text with a red shadow 0.5-1 mm above for example).
Troubleshooting always just gets me to calibrate, but I've calibrated many, many times over many months, and it doesn't help.
Does anyone know of any other solutions? Or should I just buy a new Magenta cartridge and see what happens?
    My cartridges are:
    Magenta - CB543a
    Cyan - CB541a
    Yellow - CB542a
    Black - CB540a

Make sure you update to the latest Firmware.   HP just recently released a newer version which as helped with a more concise callibration with the color plane alignment.   Many folks have reported these issues resolved after running the update.
The XP update (english) can be found here:

  • "Out of Memory" message from hp color laserjet cp1518ni

While printing an 8.5x11 sheet of bookmarkers (5 on a sheet), the first page prints, the second page comes out blank with a message in the top left hand corner:  Out of memory. Turn machine off and then.  And It stops printing all together. HELP!!!!!!  I have had problem after problem with this machine.  I want to get rid of it,  but it cost me #$384 and I haven't gotten 1/4 of usage or production.

Answering your questions... MS Pub is the most graphics rich program I use, however I do print quite a bit of full color 8x10 .jpg/.bmp/.tiff/et.al. photos from programs such as Word without any issue. Most of the graphics printed with Pub are Raster graphics if that makes any difference. Notepad/Wordpad, obviously being text based, never create an issue. They always print. In fact whenever I want to conduct a printer test, I send it a notepad text file. When I get the "Low Memory" message, it will NOT print. Period~! Restarting, rebooting, nothing will get it to print a file if the file shows up as too large. Knowing all this, any problematic file which will not print on the CP1518ni, will ALWAYS print fine if I switch the job to our Office Jet Pro L7555~! Back to the memory... if it really is memory, WHY? In light the L7555 works fine. If I need memory, could you provide specifics about the memory? Thanks again, ~Michael

  • Color LaserJet 4700dn PRINTER ERROR 54.18 54.X

At printer start, receive the following message: PRINTER ERROR 54.18.  According to the HP error code message reference, this is a black cartridge sensor malfunction.  Cleaned the sensor contacts, replaced the cartridge and rebooted; same error.  Is there another fix for this?

  • Color LaserJet CP1518ni blue print with red shadows, help !

Blue text prints with a red shadow on the right side of the page only.  There is no magenta in the blue.  All other colors print fine.  I have tried a new magenta cartridge and it was the same.  All cartridges are OEM.  I updated the firmware and it did not help.  Calibrted and cleaned many times.  Any ideas?
