HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn Printer Wired Connectivity and have USB simultaneously?

Hello to all;
Thank you in advance.
I have a HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn Printer.
The question, can I use ethernet connection and have USB simultaneously?  Ethernet is faster, right?
Currently, I have the printer connected to network via Ethernet Wired Connectivity through an Apple Aiirport Extreme base station.  I have several Mac's all operating under 10.9.1, and two PC's (one is WIN XP, and the other WIN 8.1), which all operate fine with 2008 wired/wireless technology. I know what a dinosour. I am in the process of upgrading the household to current wireless technology with a NetGear AC1900 Nighthawk Smart WiFi Router (Model: R7000), 802.11ac Dual Band Gigabit, with two USB ports ((1) 2.0 and (1) 3.0) . I connected the printer directly into the Netgrar router, and it wouldn't print, ran setup through the Mac and Win computers and still wouldnt pring. One of the reasons that sold me on the Netgear router was the ReadySHARE® USB access—Wirelessly access & share. In order for me to utilize the ReadySHARE® feature is to connect via a USB cable.  Sob story, the longest USB cable off the shelf usually 16",  and to reach where the printer is now, I need @25-28 feet of cable. Is ther a maximum length of USB that I can use with out suffering loss of speed/functionality?
Again thank you for your time

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/

  • HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn - printing Labels

    Hello
I have the HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn and I am trying to print labels. The left edge of the text keeps getting cut off. I have left the standard 'buffer' in Word (2010 on Win7) from the label wizrard, and I have the paper guides tight on the printer but they are still coming out shifted.
Any ideas how I can fix this?

  • Color LaserJet 2605dn Printing only Black and white

I have a Color Laserjet 2605dn and all of the color ink cartridges have run dry. However the Black cartridge has over 2,000 pages of ink in it and the printer will not let me prink only Black and White. It seems the color cartridges must also have ink in them in order for the printer to print. Does anyone know a work around so that I can print with the Black Cartridge and not purchase the color cartridges?

  • HP Laserjet 100 MFP 175nw, Printer loses connection and have to reboot to print

    This is super annoying.
Had this printer for a few months and it worked great. Changed my wireless password a couple weeks ago and now the dang thing has to be rebooted almost everytime it needs to print.
Today I did a fresh install on my iMac for it and after a couple hours it went right back to being unavailable. Help... before I smash it!
To note: I downloaded the driver install pkg fresh today from HPs site and used that for installation so the firmware can't be out of date.

So you changed the password on your router and when you need to print you have to reboot the router.   What is the status of the printer when this occurs?   Does the printer have a valid IP address at the time?  Does the router see the printers IP address?

  • HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn Printer

I just bought this printer but am unable to get it calibrated properly - it doesn't print with any black in colour files? Why does black only show up on text files?

You need to go into the printer settings through a web browser. It should have been installed when you installed the printer if you used the included CD. I have the same printer running on my network without any problems. I only wish it had wireless built into it. Also visit the HP website and be sure you have the correct drivers and software installed for that printer. They have made some changes. I believe there is a setting about printing in black. Also be aware that if you are using factory toners, they will run out rather quickly and the HP toners are rather expensive > $75 or more. Be careful if you buy third party toners as the toner may not be as good as the HP toner. Email me if you have further problems. I live in Olathe Kansas. [email protected]

  • Why aren't there Windows 7 (64 bit) specific drivers for my HP color LaserJet 3600n printer?

Why doesn't HP support its own printers by providing drivers for a very stable operating system?  I've been a longtime HP laser customer...since 1984 laser I.  I would like to use drivers for my color LJet 3600n which were specifically written for my computer's operating system.
Does anyone know where there are Windows 7 (64 bit) drivers for the HP color LaserJet 3600n printer?  Do I have to purchase Brother or Canon or Lexmark printers to get support?

Oh, you must not be on the English US site.  Basically it says to use the Vista driver and gives a link to it.  That is as good as it gets at this point, sorry.

  • Problems Installing WPSM54G with HP Color Laserjet CP2025DN

I have been trying to install the WPSM54G for use with my new HP Color Laserjet CP2025DN and cannot seem to get that to work.  Although I have followed several pieces of advice in these posts and elsewhere, those do not seem to do the trick in my case.
    > Checking that authentication is set to WPA and not WPA2
    > Firmware/installer update
    > Manual installation
    > http://www.ehow.com/how_5396340_set-vista-vista-windows-linux.html
Although the printer is not on the compatibility list, neither was my Canon iPixma 4000, which connected just fine.  Any guidance you can provide will be greatly appreciated!
    Greg Manko

Connect WPSM54G to the router with the Ethernet cable. Connect the printer to the WPSM.
Now press the reset button on the print server for 5 seconds. See if you get any print out. If you get the print out, you will find the IP address of the WPSM. Using that IP address open the setup page of the WPSM and check the wireless settings. The wireless settings of your wireless router should match with the wireless settings of the WPSM.
If you do not get the print out then run the CD that comes with WPS. When you run the CD it will search for the print server and you will find the IP address of the WPS. Once you get the IP address you can exit the setup program and open the setup page of WPS. Check the wireless settings of the router and WPS.
Once you finish changing the wireless settings of WPS, you can disconnect WPS from the router and power cycle the WPS. Now try to ping the IP address of WPS when it is wireless. If you get replies then your computer is communicating with the WPS.
Now you will need to add printer port on your computer.
You can add the printer port using the CD or you can so it manually.
Run the CD again and go to the option setup computer. Follow the instruction and at the end try to print the test page see if that works.
You can add printer port manually also.
Follow this link to add printer port manually on Windows Vista.
Follow this link to add printer port on Windows XP.

  • HP Color LaserJet CP1520nw will not connect to network (time out repeatedly)

My HP LaserJet CP1520nw won't connet to my wireless router upon installation, no many how many times I've been asked to connect it to the computer via a USB printer cable.   I uninstalled and reinstalled all software, and each time I try to set it up for wireless connectivity by connecting my computer and the printer via a USB printer cable, it gets to 99%  installed on the progress bar and sits there until it times out.  I suspect one of the follow but am open to other ideas from those more knowledgeable:
    1.  Is the printer locked onto some old, initial configuration from a previous wireless network that needs to be purged of addresses, etc. before it can accept the new ones?
    2.  Could my WPA WPA2 PSK AES encrytion be messing it up?  Are the modern firmware and updates designed to accept these ?  I never have gotten to a screen where it asks for my encyption key or even a WPS pass phrase.  What to do if so?
    3.  Could Church Lady be correct and that it is Satan preventing the installation?  If so, what icons does he use to watch out for and will my Norton anti-virus and malware quarantine him to Hell automatically or does it require manual enforcement?

    Hi @Marvalina1968,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I noticed that your HP Color LaserJet CP1520nw will not connect to network with Windows 7. I am sorry to hear this, but happy to help!
    First to answer your questions:
It is possible the printer could be locked to an old configuration and needs to be reset.
I don't think your WPA WPA2 PSK AES encrytion could be messing it up, unless you got some really strange characters in your password.
Your Norton antivirus, could possible be causing the installation to fail.
Please take a look through the following guides:
'Printer is offline' Message Displays on the Computer and the HP Printer Will Not Print.
Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection.
If the guides do not resolve the issue, please try the following:
Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Disable any antivirus programs. Disable antivirus software.
Disable any firewall programs. Turn Windows Firewall on or off.
Re-install the software. HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver.
Hope this solves your problem, and have a good day!

  • HP Color LaserJet CP1215 Printer drivers location

Where on my hard drive has the ljcP1215-HB-pnp-win32-en.exe file from the HP Color LaserJet CP1215 Printer support page installed the needed drivers?

    Hi @zenny ,
I can help you with locating the drivers on the computer.
Here are the instructions for running the Plug and Play drivers.
Click the Download only button and save this file.
Double click on the downloaded file. The self-extracting process will appear.
Click to accept the terms in the license agreement. Click Next.
Driver installation begins. Driver files are pre-installed during this process.
A screen pops up to prompt to connect the USB cable. Insert the USB cable.
Device is connected, waiting for PnP to finish installing driver.
Click Finish to complete software installation.
They extract to the temp folder on the computer.
Press the Windows key and R at the same time, to show the run command line.Type in %temp%. The folder should start with 7z.....
Depending which operating system you are using, I would suggest downloading the Full Feature Software and Drivers if you are still having issues with the Plug and Play drivers.
What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
    Have a nice day!

    Hello,
Have an HP Color Laserjet 2600n printer and are running Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit). Have you plugged the printer into your router and does it have a proper IP address?  If so:
    1. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by browsing to its IP address before continuing.
    2. Click >> Start >> Control panel >> Printers.
    3. Click the Add a printer
    4. Select Local printer
    5. Select Create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port and click Next button.
    6. Under Device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under Hostname or IP address, enter the printer's IP address. Click Next.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard from the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model was not listed, then select Have Disk, browse the HP CD that came with your printer and select the first file that starts with hp and ends with inf. Click Open then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
    8. If you are asked, use the currently installed driver.
    9. It will ask for the Printer name -- enter a new name or use the existing one. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
    10. You may be asked to share the printer. Choose NO.
    11. The Print Test Page box appears. Go ahead and print it.
    12. Click Finish.

  • Color Laserjet 2605dn printer with printing envelopes correctly

I am having problems with my HP Color Laserjet computer which is not printing envelopes from the computer which has Windows 8.1 installed on it. It will print out letters just fine now, but had problems with that previously, using WordPerfect Suite. The printer is a Color Laserjet 2605dn, which is connected to my home network. The same problem seem to be happening on my mini laptop which is running Windows XP.  I just fixed the printing problem on my windows 7 computer and had to print my envelopes using it. The HP Mini Laptop use to print out my envelopes just fine previously, but have the same problem. On the Pavillion Sleekbook, which is the newest I have the special print software from HP which lets me print paperwork where the others are not using it. I would appreciate any help with this problem. The setup isn't correct and the envelopes don't print out correctly like they did previously.

    Adhvaresh,
"attach" is a word we usually use for plugging in cables - but I don't think that is what you mean.
If you want a driver for that model laserjet, I suggest you use the foo2hp set of drivers. Install Foomatic and ghostscript from here:
    http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/openprinting/macosx/foomat ic
    Then, install foo2HP from:
