@pz1,
Welcome to the forums!
I understand your print jobs are printing out with partial printing on them, and I hope to help!
I am curious to know if the issue could be within the printer hardware itself, and would like you to print out a diagnostic test page to find out.

  • My Deskjet 1000 J110 series is cutting off bottom parts of sentences?

My Deskjet 1000 J110 series is cutting off bottom parts of sentences. I have not had this problem in the past. It only does it to a few sentences & my headers.
What could be causing this and what can I do about it?

    Hi IlianaGrace96,
There are several things that can cause your problem.  I would start by reviewing the following HP Consumer Support document:
Fixing Ink Streaks, Faded Prints, and Other Common Print Quality Problems
    1. Perform a hard reset on the printer. Unplug the power cord from the back.  Leave it out for 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
    2. Use the automated tool to align the cartridges.
    3. Use the automated tool to clean the cartridges.
    4. Manually clean the cartridges with a lint free cloth and water.
    5. Try soaking your printheads in semi warm water for about 5 minutes.
    I hope this helps.

  • Installation of HP Deskjet 1000 J110 Series

    Dear Guys,
I bought an HP Deskjet 1000 Printer J110 Series. Unfortunately, the installation CD that came with the Printer is for Mac OS X Versions 10.5 and 10.6 and i can't install it onto my MacBook Pro using the Mac OS X 10.8.4 Version. I have also tried to search on the website any possible solutions and have come along none.
Is any one out there who can help out?
    Thanks
    Maurice

When I connect the printer to the laptop, with Internet connected, the computer tries to automatically search for availability of printer drivers. However, at the end of the search a message is retuned that there are no available drivers for installation of the said printer and that I should check software update later.

  • HP Deskjet 1000 J110 Series Printer

When I try to print something, I get an error message on my HP computer saying: "Printer in an error state."  The pop-up window for the printing process lists: "Status: Error - No Toner/Ink."  I have just had both ink cartridges refilled, so I'm at a loss for what's going on here.  How do I get the printer out of this "error state" and get the printer to indicate that I have a full complement of ink?  Please Help!

    Hi JaBojo,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I have examined your post on a cartridge-related error message, and I would be happy to assist you!
Please follow this document on An 'Ink Cartridge Problem' Message Displays on the Computer.
If you come to the point of replacing a defective cartridge, I must note that it is your choice if you want to refill your ink cartridges, but be aware that the print quality and reliability may not be as good as the original HP.

  • HP Deskjet 1000 J110 - Pausing causes long print times

Hi everyone. My company just bought the Deskjet 1000 J110 series for our shipping computer.
Every time we try to print, the machine pulls the paper in a few inches and pauses while the power light is flashing. It will sit like this for a few moments before printing a few more lines and pausing again (with the power light flashing.) It repeats this process several times. Sometimes, maybe only one line will print, other times it will be more. Eventually, the entire page IS printed and looks just fine with crisp readable text or barcodes with no visible errors. However, it takes anywhere between 1 and 3 minutes to print a full page. This happens whether it is a shipping barcode, a body of text from Word, or even the ‘Print Test Page’ option under the printer properties. Seriously, it took me ten minutes to print six pages today, and they were each only about a half a page of content.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
I’ve included some system information for reference.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
The symptoms you described will most likely indicate a communication issue.
Unplug the USB cable from the back of the printer, then try printing an hardware self test print as following:
While holding the power button pressed, open and close the Cartridge Access Door for 10 times, then release the power button.
If the self test being printed as it should, try plugging the USB cable into a different USB port, make sure to connect it directly to a free USB port on the back of your PC and not by using any USB hub.
If there is still no change, i would suggest you to try using a differenct USB cable and check for any change.
If the same appears while printing a self test with no USB attached, it might be a cartridge problem affecting the device.
If so, contact the local HP Call Center in order to troubleshoot the problem and provide any required service according.
You may find the local number listed below:

  • Why doesn't my Macbook Air print with my HP desk jet 1000 J110 series printer?

I have tried to print pictures and documents on Pages from my MacBook Air with my HP deskjet 1000 J110 series printer but it doesn't happen. The printer connects all right and doesn't show a problem whilst I am choosing the format I want my document/picture to be printed but after I click Print, a little icon representing the printer pops up in the bottom but after a second or two, it disapppears leaving me with no printouts. Why is it happening and what are the solutions?

  • Deskjet 1000 J110 stopped checking ink levels

    Hi
    I have a Deskjet 1000 J110 and I'm running Windows 7.
The HP software used to allow me to check ink levels, now it doesn't. I checked them no more than 2 weeks ago without a problem. Now, when I tried to check them, the option simply wasn't there. I'm not sure, but I think the shortcut on the HP menu folder is directing me to the Control Panel printers folder, not to the HP software like it used to.
Anyone has any idea what the problem might be?
    Cheers!

    Hi seileach,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I read your post and see that the Printer Assistant isn't opening to view the ink levels when you click on the printer shortcut.
I will be happy to help you.
Try going to start, all programs, HP, Deskjet 1000 J110, then click on the Deskjet 1000 J110 again to see if the Printer Assistant will now open this way.
If not, then most likely the driver is corrupted. I would uninstall and reinstall the printer software.

  • Deskjet 1000 not printing

I recently got a new ink cartrage and tried pinting something for school but it wont print. It shows that i do have ink but when i try to print it gives me blank pages. HELP!

Hello , Thanks for posting in the HP Forums, and welcome! I'd like to help you with the blank pages that are printing out from your HP Deskjet 1000 Printer. Have you tried printing anything in color? Or from an alternate program? If printing in color works okay, then it could be an issue with the cartridge that you purchased. Follow the steps in the document below to resolve your print quality issue.Fixing Print Quality Problems for the HP Deskjet 1000 (J110), 2000 (J210), 3000 (J310), and HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2010 (K010a) Printer Series If printing in color does not work, and you are still having the issue from alternate programs, make sure you have the most recent version of the full feature driver installed on your computer. You can download it here - HP Deskjet Full Feature Software and Drivers I hope this helps!

  • I have a deskjet 1000 and bought HP 61 cartridges.

I have a deskjet 1000 and bought HP 61 cartridges. The deskjet came with HP 122 cartridges.  I tried to install the HP 61 cartridges but the message is "incompatible ink cartridges"

    Hi,
You have to use #122 cartridges, I know 61 = 122/2 but this is not the case. Please go to the shop and ask for a replacement.

  • HP Deskjet 1000, Model No. J110a, Product Number CH340C

I purchased a Deskjet 1000 in the Turks and Caicos Islands for use in that country.  It says it takes HP Ink Cartridges 122.  However, even on SureSupply, all such cartridges are "Out of Stock."  How and where do I get cartridges compatible with this printer.  HP Cartridge 61 are not compatible.  Do I chuck it or is there a solution, short of having to buy a new printer.  Rather annoying and frustrating!

Hello @JodyRat and welcome to the HP Forums!
From the sounds of it, you may no longer be in Turks and Caicos, and that may be why you're not able to get the 122 cartridges.
If you're no longer in Turks and Caicos and in a different country, like the US, you would need the cartridges for that country and to contact HP Tech Support to get your printer regionalized for where you are.
If I'm incorrect, please just get back to me with any relevant additional information

  • Grating noise - Deskjet 1125C Professional Series A3 Printer

Grating noise before and after printing.
HP Deskjet 1125C Professional Series A3 Printer.
    XP Home edition sp3
    Parallel cable connection.
No unusual noises when initially switched on.
On sending print from PC, orange (Resume) light flashes accompanied by grating noise from right hand (service station) side.
No printing takes place until the Resume button is pressed.  (Then sometimes orange and green lights flash together until Resume is pressed again).
Page prints normally with no unusual noises, then when paper is ejected a few more seconds of the grating noise occurs.
There are no obstructions to carriage path.
The printer had been stored on end in the past so that waste ink had leaked internally.  Cleaned up and had worked fine for about 18 months.
This reset procedeure has been tried without success: "hold the paper feed button in while turning the power on, keep holding it down for about 15-20 seconds, then release the paper feed button."
Despite being old this had been a very useful A3 printer.  I'm happy to dismantle / carry out repairs.
    Many thanks.

  • Core -i5 2430m is it comaptible to my HP 1000 notebook series

I have a HP 1000 notebook series, this laptop procesor is intel pentium dual core. then I replaced it to core-i5 2430m.. last 2 days its working , now I encountered problems. It automatically shut down either turn off interuption. Then i read some forum needed to replace the thermal paste. then I replace it to a local thermal paste which is silicon grease I just bought it from electronic hardwares.. the temperature just running at low 49 up to 55 degrees. I dont know what the best I can do , please help? and how about compatibility.. anyway my RAM is 6gig

Generally if a processor POSTS and boots to the operating system it is compatible and is working fine. It is pretty much an all or nothing thing. I am concerned about this product you used for cooling compound. I mean, cooling compound is cooling compund (e.g. Arctic Silver) and there is no substitute.

  • Have Deskjet 1000 printer....need assistance in printing 4 X 6 photos on this printer....

Purchased 4X6 HP photo paper to print photos on my HP Deskjet 1000 and am having difficulty ALIGNING the photo paper so that the picture prints properly on the photo paper....any suggestions other than dumb luck on aligning these photo papers on this printer???? Thanks.

As Larry pointed out you should be able to get to these options in the Print window:
Then in the Paper Handling section (I think) you should be able to select the paper tray. If it's not that section it will be one of the others as the HP may have slightly different options.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • Accessing printer software for HP Deskjet 3050A J611 series with Windows 7

There is currently a problem with the HP Deskjet 3050A J611 series software on my computer.  It used to be when I clicked on my desktop icon (or launched this program from my start menu) I would see a list of option such as check ink levels, scan a picture, search for help, and so forth.  Now the screen shows only this:
    http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w82/RedComet01/HPscreen.jpg
Clicking on HP Printer Assistant does nothing.
My computer is a Dell Inspiron 620 with a Widows 7 Home Premium (64 bit, service pack 1) operating system.
Does anyone know what might be a solution to my problem?

Installing the latest full software package from HP should fix the problem of the buttons disappearing. These printers use the same basic software, and what I said is true for both. HP fixed the problem in version 28.8 of the software. I'll link it below for the 5514 and the 3050A.
Deskjet 3050A: HP Deskjet Full Feature Software and Drivers
