HP Deskjet 2050 All in One J510 Series

Had to install my printer again onto W7 (x64).
The installation disk is a few years old now and whilst it still works,
when l get the menu up, all it shows is "see what's printing", "set preferences",
and "customize your printer".
There is no mention of checking ink levels or to even do a scan.
I know sometime ago l had to rebuild the system and someone posted a link to install
an updated version of the menu.
Any ideas?

Hey,
you may have to uninstall and reinstall the printer software and then add the printer.
I recomend you to use the latest full feature which is available online Click Here
Then follow the document below to set up the printer
USB Setup > Follow method Two.

    Hey RedDave,
    If the unit is printing an alignment page on each start up, then the unit is failing to align.  If the unit fails to align, then it will attempt to do so on the next start up.  Do you get an alignment failed message on the computer screen?
    I would advise following the steps in the document linked below to troubleshoot this condition in your Deskjet 2050 J510 series All-in-One.

  • Printing problem with HP deskjet 3050 all in one J610 series

    I have a HP deskjet 3050 all in one J610 series which I am using with Windows Vista Version 6.0 (Build 6006: Service pack 2).  Connecting is by USB port.  I have not used the printer for some time, but have done all the maintence checks & it is good to go.  When I want to print a letter the only thing that gets printed is the email address which is coloured blue.  I think the problem is in the settings of the printer features.  I can print the letter in gray scale but this is not easy to read and not suitable for business dealings.
    I would appreciate help with this problem.  A definition of the terms used in the printer features might help me resolve it by my self.

    What does the PSDR find? If you are still not getting black text, please continue here: Fixing Print Quality Problems for the HP Deskjet 3050 (J610) All-in-One Printer Series
    If after the troubleshooting has been done and you are still seeing the issue leave me with the following information:
    1. What is your current Operating system, Windows or Mac and which version?
    2. How is the printer connected, USB or Wireless?
    3. If you print a test page from the front panel do you see the same issue?

  • The HP Deskjet 3050A All-In-One J611 series printer I just bought is not compatible with my Mac Book Pro.  What do I need to do?

    I recently purchased an HP Deskjet 3050A All-In-One J611 series printer and it is not compatible with the version of the operating system on my mac book pro.  I am currently running on OS X 10.4.11 and the printer is compatible with v10.5 or higher.  What can I do to update the operating system on my Mac Book Pro? 

    10.5 will be harder to find & more expensive, I think I'd go for 10.6
    Leopard requirements/10.5.x...
        *  Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
    minimum system requirements
        * 512MB of memory (I say 1.5GB for PPC at least, 2-3GB minimum for IntelMacs)
        * DVD drive for installation
        * 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
    Apple no longer has it for sale.
    Snow Leopard/10.6.x Requirements...
    General requirements
       * Mac computer with an Intel processor
        * 1GB of memory (I say 2GB at least)
        * 5GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
        * DVD drive for installation
        * Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.

  • HP DeskJet 3055A All-In-One Jobs Series margin

    Hi,
    I recently reinstalled Windows 7 on my laptop and ever since the top margin is too big and bottom margin too small.
    I haven't found a setting to correct this.
    The drivers are installed from the HP site and are the drivers for the HP DeskJet 3050A All-In-One J611 Series as suggested by the HP site. I ran all the HP Print and Scan doctor and the HP  Hardware Diagnose Progranm 4.1.
    Does anyone know who I can fix this problem coz this is very annoying:
    Everything I print a art of the bottom falls of th page and isn't printed?

    I understand that you are having issues with the top and bottom margins not printing properly. I will do my best to assist you with this issue.
    What application are you using?
    Check the page setup in the application you are printing from?
    Try another application to see if you have the same results.

    How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)

  • HP Deskjet 3050A All-in-One J611 Series - getting exact driver to download

    I need to download a driver for my (per printer label) "HP Deskjet 3050A All-in-One J611 Series" -- but at hp.com, see listed only J611-Series models with postfixed abc letters "a" to "k" ... and one w/o a postfixed abc letter, but that lacks "J611" in its model name.
    Also, my printer label does not prefix "e-" to the printer name.
    Would the driver for  "J611-a" work with my printer?
    Or the driver for "HP Deskjet 3050A All-in-One" that lacks "J611"?

    I have a printer "HP DESKJET 3050A ALL-IN-ONE J611 series" and she can not work properly on my laptop.

    I understand you're experiencing print issues. I would like to help.
    Are you able to make a copy without issue?
    Are you connected via a USB cable or a wireless connection?
    I would recommend performing a power reset on your printer.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
    I would then suggest downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor.

    HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer series - J6? what a load 0f rubbish,only one place for this the bin!
    Purchased less than a year ago countless problems with wireless reinstaled more times than I can think and now paper jams so off to the bin, never to buy HP products again, being disabled is hard enough but having to  going shopping for a new printer this I could do without. thank you HP.

    I am sorry to hear that you are having that issue with the printer. If the printer is under a year old from the date of purchase, please call into HP Total care. The printer comes with a factory warranty that gives the owner free tech support on the product. Paper jams are a hardware issue. If all troubleshooting steps are done on the phone with the agent and the product is still not working. That agent who is assisting you will be able to give further options on what can be done.   • HP DeskJet 1050 ALL-IN-ONE J410 series Printer Scanner stopped working suddenly

    About a month back Scanner in my printer-scanner (DeskJet 1050 All-In-One J410 series) stopped working with a message on screen " HP Deskjet 1050 J410 series was not found". But the Printer was working fine. I have so far taken following steps with results against each -
    a) HP Print & Scan doctor (HPPSdr.exe) showed HP Twain Scan faulty.
    b) On advice from HP helpline, tried HP Deskjet Full Feature Software & Drivers (DJ1050_J410_1313.exe). It required uninstalling before installing. But uninstalling failed to happen.
    c) Finally, with HP Printer Install Wizard (hppiw.exe) help it showed that Full Feature HP Software & Drivers is now installed. For its functionality, it called for its testing on 'print test page' and 'test scan'. After this, printer shows printing jobs in queue but will not print. At present it is limited to photocopying only without printing & scanning.
    d) I am caught in a loop, because at the end of hppiw.exe message is '...if tests are not successful, HP recommends using HPPSdr.exe to diagnose and fix any problem' i.e. back to point (a) above.
    Any solution to the above problem?

    Try these steps that I have posted below. This will change the settings for all print jobs, so you will need to go back in to these settings if you wish to change the quality back to normal, best, etc.

    Once you are in the Printing Preferences window, you will see a Paper/Quality tab, click on it and you can change the Quality to Draft here.
