HP Deskjet 3050 All in One Mac not working w USB or Wireless

I have tried to setup my nen to me printer both via USB and Wireless connection. The computer did locte the priinters wifi signal but that was as far as i could get with that. The USB connection was a little better but when I added the printer there was not an option for the software matching the product number so i used the generic. Once setup I have tried to print and the printer icon comes up momentarilly then  disapears. I am lost. Help please!!!

    Unplug the USB cable.  Now go to Start > All Programs > Hewlett-Packard > Deskjet 3050 > Add a Device.  Run the program and choose Wireless as the installation type.
    Follow the directions.  It will ask you to connect a USB cable temporarily.  Do not connect until it asks and remove it when it tells you.
    Finally, when you are done, go to Control Panel > Devices & Printers and delete the USB instance of the printer so you don't get confused when printing.

  • Printing problem with HP deskjet 3050 all in one J610 series

    I have a HP deskjet 3050 all in one J610 series which I am using with Windows Vista Version 6.0 (Build 6006: Service pack 2).  Connecting is by USB port.  I have not used the printer for some time, but have done all the maintence checks & it is good to go.  When I want to print a letter the only thing that gets printed is the email address which is coloured blue.  I think the problem is in the settings of the printer features.  I can print the letter in gray scale but this is not easy to read and not suitable for business dealings.
    I would appreciate help with this problem.  A definition of the terms used in the printer features might help me resolve it by my self.

    If after the troubleshooting has been done and you are still seeing the issue leave me with the following information:
    1. What is your current Operating system, Windows or Mac and which version?
    2. How is the printer connected, USB or Wireless?
    3. If you print a test page from the front panel do you see the same issue?

  • Deskjet 3050 All In One J610 won't scan

    Successfully downloaded HP Deskjet 3050 All In One J610 series to my MAC laptop. It will not scan, I hit scan button and it says Try From Computer. Cannot find scan option in laptop files.

  • DESKJET 3050 All-in-one J610 wont do anything

    I have a Deskjet 3050 All-In-One J610 Series that won't do anything. I can't get it to print, scan, copy. I have unplugged the power while it was turned on trying to reset the machine but it did nothing for my problem. I know it is not an ink issue because the printer will print out the onboard game pages but that is all it will do. Anybody have any suggestions? Thank you

    HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer series - J6? what a load 0f rubbish,only one place for this the bin!
    Purchased less than a year ago countless problems with wireless reinstaled more times than I can think and now paper jams so off to the bin, never to buy HP products again, being disabled is hard enough but having to  going shopping for a new printer this I could do without. thank you HP.

    I am sorry to hear that you are having that issue with the printer. If the printer is under a year old from the date of purchase, please call into HP Total care. The printer comes with a factory warranty that gives the owner free tech support on the product. Paper jams are a hardware issue. If all troubleshooting steps are done on the phone with the agent and the product is still not working. That agent who is assisting you will be able to give further options on what can be done. The number for US and Canada customers is 800-474-6836. Customers in other countries can find contact information here. I hope that this helps.

  • HP Deskjet 3050 All in One J610 - Failing to connect to network

    Hello,
    I own an HP Deskjet 3050 All in One J610 device.
    It worked great for about a year, until one day it just stopped connecting wirelessly to my network.
    I haven't changed anything in the network, so I really don't have a clue why this happenned.
    The "Wireless" led keeps blinking and I can't figure out where to choose my network from. It asks for a PIN (??) when I go into Wireless Setup.

    Anyone knows if you can upgrade Deskjet 3050 all-in-one j610 to print AirPrint from my Ipad?
    Or in a way to work around printing to this J-model from my Ipad?

    The Deskjet 3050 does not support AirPrint.  AirPrint requires firmware in the printer that understands the AirPrint format.

    All printing with colors screwed up. no error messages. print and scan doctor says all ok. Cannot open software, check ink levels, alignment - nothing, yet it prints (black), scans and copies just fine.

  • Unable to do mobile printing with HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-one J610a (CH376D)

    I have a 3050 All-in-one J610a which I am using for about an year now.
    In the beginning I was able to print/scan using HP app (probably HP home & Biz) on my iPhone4 but for past few months i didn't use it but kept updating the app to the latest versions. Now, I have tried all HP apps available on itunes App Store but none of the apps are able to detect my printer even though my windows laptops (running windows XP and Win7) are connected with the printer over wireless network and printing seamlessly.
    I know my printer is not eprint or AirPrint compatible but am just trying for a regular wifi print sitting within the same network. After wasting about 6-8 hours trying to find a solution, I am posting this. Please help with any clues/ suggestions? 
    P.S. I am running iOS 6.0 on my iphone 4.

    You're right. I have tried everything like Hp Eprint, HP Printer Control etc. but it is just not able to find my printer. I tried ePrint Free from microtech and that provides an option to connect to a printer by entering it's IP and I was able to connect. But then this free app has very limited usability so can't rely on it completely.

    I have a HP Desket 3050 all-in-one J610 and I am running Windows 7 64-bit.
    I'm trying to print off some pages, first through google chrome and then through adobe reader, and the printer prints off the wrong pages. Eg, I told it to print of pages 41-64 odd only and I got all of the even pages. Now, if I try to print anything off, I get the odd page below and the settings are set to 'print all pages'. It was working fine a week ago and nothing's changed since then.
    I tend to use fast draft paper quality as these are lectures notes and not particularly important, but I have tried the normal quality paper and it does the same thing.
    Could anybody help?

  • HP 3520 all in one airprint not working. Firmware update cannot proceed

    Dear HP,
    Two days ago I purchased a HP Deskjet 3520 ALL in one printer. The installation went smooth and I am able to print wireless with my PC. However I cannot print with my iPad, iPhone 5 and using airprint. I am able to print with my HTC one mobile phone. I already went through the Apple airprint troubleshoot http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/assistant/airprint/#section_1 .
    Trying to solve the problem I wanted to upgrade the firmware.  But when I try to update firmware with the HP device updater I get the 'Update cannot proceed' message. I have tried a wireless update and an update with my usb cable connected. I have even tried various usb ports. I checked the control panel to see if my device was connected and available and it was. I have reinstalled the driver sofware from the hp website: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5162... . I have also performed reset (disconnected ALL cables, waited more than a minute, held the power button for 30 seconds and reconnected the power cable) but with result.
    How can I update my firmware to the latest version to check if I can use airprint?
    My current firmware version = STP1FN1241BR ( Hp docter)
    I am using Windows 7 64 bit

    Sorry for the delayed response. My phone quit telling me I had any notifications.
    This could be a number of things really.  Do not forget you can contact HP Cloud Support at 1-855-785-2777 and they may be able to assist you with this (not sure of any policies regarding warranty, etc, etc).
    This link will cover some of the basic router settings.  I wouldn't get into anything too detailed so these settings should be easy to change.  I made this post to help me as a reference to network issues.  The info here is from my time with Cloud Support in regards to helping you print from Apple/mobile devices.  Although the post is titled differently, this is the same info I would have given you over the phone.
    Let me know if that information helps you any.  Also, try the HP ePrint app and see if the printer is found using that method.  I am always happy to help so let me know what happens.  I will try to keep a closer eye on here for your response.
