HP Deskjet 3070A, no scanner driver for Mavericks?

HP Deskjet 3070A - Mac OS X 10.9.2
I just updated to Mavericks. The printerdriver har been uploaded, comes up in "printers and scanners" as "HP Deskjet 3070 B611 series" and it is working fine. But there is no scanner driver. I have done everything the HP supportsite tells me to, but still can not find any trace of a scannerdriver in anywhere. How can I fix this?
Thanks in advance for the help

Hello Ingebjorg, and welcome to the HP Forums.
I see you are looking into scan options.  Due to the age of the printer, there is no HP software available.
I would recommend following this document on OS X v10.9 Mavericks: Installing and Using the Printer on a Mac, particularly the section on 'How do I scan with the driver from Apple Software Update?'
Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.

  • Scanner driver for Konica Minolta 1690MF since new operating system Maverick

Scanner driver for Konica Minolta 1690MF will not work since new operating system Maverick.
Update driver came from konica minolta - not through an Apple software update.
Konica M 1690MF will print as normal but 'image capture' is empty.

Same problem. I emailed KM support. Was told new drivers were being considered. Not sure what that means. No date given. Have tried several 3rd party drivers, but none work. Would love for someone to post a solution.

rying to get Photoshop CS4 functional with Mavericks and an Epson 3880 printer. CS4 fails to send a file to the print queue. Have reinstalled the Epson 3880 driver for Mavericks. All looks good but no file is sent.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

What EXACT version of Photoshop CS4 are you running?  You should be on Photoshop CS4 v 11.0.2.
Also run Apple's software update to see whether it offers you the latest Epson update:

Epson Stylus Pro 3880, Drivers & Downloads - Technical Support - Epson America, Inc.
MOST IMPORTANTLY:  have Photoshop re-create its own Preferences:
To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
Note: If this process doesn't work for you while you're using a wireless (Bluetooth) keyboard, attach a wired keyboard and retry.
Important: If you re-create the preferences by manually deleting the Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings file, make sure that you only delete that file. If you delete the entire settings folder, you also delete any unsaved actions or presets.
Reinstalling Photoshop does not remove the preferences file. Before reinstalling Photoshop, re-create your preferences.
NEW Video! Julieanne Kost created a video that takes you through two ways of resetting your Photoshop preferences. The manual preference file removal method is between 0:00 - 5:05. The keyboard shortcut method is between 5:05 - 8:18. The video is located here:

Important: Apple made the user library folder hidden by default with the release of Mac OS X 10.7. If  you require access to files in the hidden library folder to perform Adobe-related troubleshooting, see How to access hidden user library files.

Photosmart B8550 driver for Maverick NOT AVAILABLE.
The website should say that it has it, or it doesn't!  So ambiguious...
Call tech support and for a kindly $25 box we'll show a work around.  I interpret that to be obsolesence.  You are up to date or you are not.  The refund of the money is more complicated to monitor than when the softweare patch would be available, at least 5 times more complicated.  Wait for the bank statement to see if ther money was refunded, and than follow up for the refund, come ON!

    Tomesh,
Problem is not so clear but I can say you can try these things.
    1. Are you trying to do retroactive calculation for particular employee . If yes, then check the driver perk wage type validity period.
    2. If you are using some constant table to calculate Driver's perk value then you must check that contact table and dates mentioned there.

  • Epson WF3520 scanner driver for OX Maverick

    Hi
Does anyone know if or when a new driver for the WF 3520 Epson all in one printer will be relaeased? I have just tried to use the scanner but it says that I cannot use it with my OS X 10.9.1. Luckily, I am able to print but the scanner is a no no, please help!
    Thanks

Do you happen to own an iPhone or iPad?  If so, I recommend you download the Epson iPrint app to one of those devices.  It could find the Epson printer on the network, and one thing you could do is click the printer there, go to Advanced Settings, then Firmware Update.  That would update your printer's firmware if there is such an update available.  The app also has a scan function, so you could see if that works.

  • MP navigator ex the scanner driver for this device is not supported for my itunes/ ipod

Mp navigator ex driver for this device not supported when I plug in my ipod I have windows vista

    Hello there K_McCreedy,
I saw your post about the scanning issues you have been having with your PS B110a and Mavericks. I have looked into this for you and I would like to offer some suggestions.
First of all, there is no downloadable full feature driver and software (scanning software included) for this model of printer and Mavericks. There are some work around options however, that I will link you to below!
    Please follow these steps:
    1. Mac OS X: How to reset the printing system
    2. Repair disk permissions
    3. OS X v10.9 Mavericks: Installing and Using the Printer on a Mac
(See under link #3 for the different methods of scanning options with Mavericks under the FAQ's section)
I hope I helped answer your question!
Thanks for posting in the community and have a great day

  • Floppy Disk Drive for Mavericks

    Hello
Does anyone know of an FDD for a mavericks mac? I would like to create boot disks for an old mac. Is this a good method to consider? I am not sure how else to go about this. If there is an alternative, whatever it might be, please let me know.
I apologise for posting here but this relates to older machines in a way.
    Thanks in advance.

The original system for a PowerBook 2400c/180 was 7.6.1. Other supported systems (according to Apple's technical specifications) were 8, 8.1, 8.5, 8.6 and 9. You would need to purchase an appropriate Apple system CD. Ensure that it is a retail disc (for all models), not a disc for a certain (other) machine.
You can use one of the Apple CD-ROM drives above, providing that you have the proper HDI-30 cable. See the manual for details about connecting SCSI devices and about booting from a CD.
If necessary, and if the already installed operating system is working (and you can navigate the Japanese menus), you should at least be able to create a Disk Tools PPC floppy on the PowerBook. Use the Disk Copy 6.3.3 program (the Make a Floppy command under the Utilities menu) for this. I assume that you have the external floppy disk drive for the PowerBook.
    www.info.apple.com/support/oldersoftwarelist.html
    http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English -North_American/Macintosh/System/Mac_OS_8.1_Update/Disk_Tools_PPC.img.bin
    http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English -North_American/Macintosh/Utilities/Disk_Copy/Disk_Copy_6.3.3.smi.bin
One may also want to try to modify a Disk Tools PPC to hold CD-ROM software, thus allowing a CD to be read when the computer is running from the floppy disk system.
Additionally, since the computer in question has PC Card slots, an inexpensive PC Card adapter for CompactFlash and a CompactFlash memory card can be very useful for file transfers. In certain PowerBook models, such a CompactFlash card (reformatted to Mac) can even act as a startup disk (if it has an appropriate system folder).

  • Cannot install scanner driver for Epson 1650 Perfection

This isn't making sense to me. I was running Snow Leopard on another drive and was using my Epson Perfection 1650 scanner just fine. I bought a 2TB drive and installed Snow Leopard and am booting from that now and my scanner isn't recognized. If I try to open the Epson Scan utility, it just quits before it fully opens. I downloaded the scanner driver from Epson's website again and when I try to install it, the installer quits before it is fully open.
I did a Repair Permissions but that didn't help.
I tried manually copying the Epson Scanner Module folder from my Library on the other drive to the Library on this new drive and that didn't help.
I found a webpage on Apple's site listing scanners that are compatible with Snow Leopard and mine is listed. It claims most drivers are installed with the system. If so, how come my scanner isn't working now? But it did work in Snow Leopard on my other drive. I can boot from the other drive and use the scanner now, but I want to be able to use it from this drive.

I have been able to use OmniPage X in Snow Leopard with only one problem. I think it is because I did not try to instal it. It came across with my auto transfer from earlier software/hard drives. It reads documents but does not scan because I haven't transferred over my old twain files. I understand that the OmniPage twain file may not work in Snow Leopard but there is a freeware twain driver which I haven't tried.
So if you are having problems installing OmniPage on your Intel Mac, try copying over the app, (OS9 style) from an older Mac which has an old OSX system on which OmniPage X successfully installed.
I use VueScan to scan pages from my scanner, save the multiple pages as a pdf, open OmniPage and get it to import the pdf file. Then I do steps 2, 3 and 4 manually (though you could do all steps automatically). The result is much better and incredibly accurate text - much better than in the olden days when I could scan directly into OmniPage. The only things occasionally misread are numbers, particularly fractions.
I am scanning two pages at a time and the VueScan OCR, though it otherwise does a quite accurate job, tends to blend the two pages together, so it is not useful for me. It would be far too slow to scan in each page separately.
It's a shame that Caere sold OmniPage to Scansoft. I remember getting regular messages about improved accuracy upgrades and I'd always buy them. Caere cared. Scansoft does not, even though OmniPage still is the best OCR software for the Mac.
If Scansoft is not interested in upgrading OmniPage for the Mac, maybe it should stop hogging it and sell it to someone who would be interested in looking after its users.

  • Epson Expression 1600XL Scanner driver for Windows 8.1

I have an older Epson Expression 1600XL A3 size scanner. There's no driver for Windows 8 and 8.1 Pro. When I turn the scanner on (on USB), Windows tells me that it is an unknown device. I tried to let the scanner software run in various compability
modes and with administrator rights, but that does not Work. It tells me that "Epson scan cannot start" - probably because the content of the twain32 folder is wrong.
I was advised by Epson to get a an Epson Scan Driver package for another scanner that does comply with Windows 8.1.
The software Works, but it cannot find MY scanner on USB, - it looks only for the scanner the software is made for.
I was then advised to go here and find help for making the Scanner software recognise the scanner.
    Any suggestions?

You need to discuss this with the Epson Technical Support.  Based on information posted on the Epson Support website, the answer is probably "no":

  • Scanner driver for Canon DR-2580C desktop document scanner

    Hi
Does anyone know if there is a driver for the Canon DR-2580C document scanner which will work with Snow Leopard? The scanner shows up in the System Profiler under the USB section. The Canon web site only lists Windows drivers for the scanner and a Google search was unable to find any reference to a Mac OS X driver. Any suggestions other than purchase a scanner which is Snow Leopard compatible?
    Thanks advance!

Hello and welcome to Apple Discussions.
At this point in time, Canon only offers three models of DR scanners with Mac OS X support; the P150, the DR2010C and the DR2510C. Your DR2580C has no official Mac OS X support.
So you could look at third party packages like VueScan or SANE, although these tend to offer support for the consumer scanners rather than the high volume business scanners.
Or you could get a virtual machine application for your Mac like VMware Fusion or Parallels and run Windows XP, Vista or 7. This may prove the cheapest and easiest option if you don't need to scan all the time. But if you need to scan often then I suggest having a Windows computer permanently connected to the DR2580C and share the scans folder so the Mac can connect directly to it.

  • Scanner driver for Epson AL CX16NF

    Hello,
I have a multi function printer Epson AL CX16NF.
I found the driver for the printer but not for the fax and scanner options.
I am using it on my network (wired or wireless).
It works fine under my windows systems.
    I use Lion 10.7.1.
    Any suggestion?
    Cheers

I have contacted Epson and for now it's useless as the driver they give me is for Snowleopard
Now I have done another test.
Deinstalled all my printers, and reinstalled. but without success.
By the way, meanwhile I am experimenting another issue, is that I can print only once when I install the driver and then I am not able

  • Scanner driver for HP MFDs 109MB?

    Hi!
I have a HP Multi function device (PSC 1410).
It prints perfectly and tells me how much ink I have left without having to download any drivers. OSX seems to work very well with it. However, the scanner doesn't work. I have looked at the HP support site and the OSX driver is 109MB! I can't believe that a scanner driver is that big.
This must also contain useless photo editing programmes. Is there any way I can just get the scanner driver on its own, because I use the mac software and am happy with it, and don't want useless applications on my macbook!
    thanks
    Karl

I'm assuming that you don't have high speed internet. If you do have high speed internet you can usually extract out software from installers that are pkg installers using http://www.charlessoft.com/ 's Pacifist. The trick is to know what are the right permissions to give the files once extracted to the locations they work as the drivers.
If you don't have high speed internet, find out which of the local Apple authorized resellers have it, and bring a blank CD-R to burn the driver to, or a flash drive so you can have it handy. Burning it to a PC CD, or using a flash drive on a PC might work, just remember that PC formatted CDs that are formatted ISO 9660 work best on the Mac, and flash drives formatted FAT32 work best on the Mac. If you put it on PC formatted media, drag it onto your Mac desktop before installing. Contact HP to find out which files are necessary for the driver itself.
You can also consider getting a third party scanner driver such as those found on my personal website's FAQ:

  • Can't install scanner driver for Konica Minolta magicolor 1690mf

I've successfully installed the printer driver for my Konica Minolta 1690MF multi-function printer/scanner/fax.
However, when I go to try an install the scanner driver, the following error appears:
"mc1690MF Scanner can’t be installed on this computer.
The operation system is not adequate for running magicolor 1690MF."
    I am running 10.6.1.
I downloaded the drivers from the konica minolta website, and it claims the drivers are compliant up to 10.5 (http://onyxftp.mykonicaminolta.com/download/SearchResults.aspx?productid=1167 )
Is there any way to get a scanner driver that is compliant for the snow leopard OS? Is there an alternative to waiting for the manufacturer to update their drivers?

I am having the same problem. I was able to scan last week and suddenly this week image capture cannot find the scanner. The Konica Minolta Magicolor 1690mf prints fine but scanning is not functioning. I looking at drivesr on Konica Minolta's site but there were none for os 10.6.1. I called them in and they could not suggest anything other than reloading the printer. They could not tell me if this was a known problem. The person I spoke with says that with apple making the updates it might be a couple of months before they have a driver for it..... how frustrating I can't use the scanner for a couple of months??? Any suggestions out there?
