HP DESKJET 3070A

I have just purchased an HP DESKJET 3070A printer and according to my ePrint sheet it's supposed to be Apps compliant as was the advice from the sales assistant.
Not only am I getting messages that it isn't but the 'AUTOMATED' detect system has registered it as a completely different printer entirely (for which I cannot even change) and even after having inserted the correct 'Sign Up' printer code
I am also fed up of being taken to United States 'business user' pages when specifically saying it was for PERSONAL use during registration, have my support pages set to the UK and their search doesn't even recognise the model.
Does anybody have any ideas please?
Thanks,
maniomegalac

Hey Dave_K!
I have tried this power cycling thing three times! I was about to reply saying no luck but randomly when I printed out the configuration page this time it printed an extra page with the code on it! It is now all set up! Thank you very much for your help

I have tried anything I could found on Internet but I couldn't solve this problem....
Actually i don't know if it can help but on the printer the IP numer is :192168 1 101 while on my ipad is 192 168 1 102 so they are differents, but they both works with the wireless.... I don't know what to do... please help!!
    Thank you

    Hi,
Firstly please check to see if your printer in the list:
      http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
If YES, you can use this to fix
      http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/assistant/airprint/
If NO you have to print using other apps (if applicable) such as

  • Software to connect Deskjet 3070A to wifi no longer available

My printer is AirPrint capable, but to set up the connection to wifi, you have to connect it to a computer and use a piece of HP software on the computer to set it up. You can't connect to wifi networks on the printer itself.
My wifi network has changed, so I went to download said piece of software from HPs website, but it now just gives you generic advice for setting up an AirPrint printer by choosing the network on the printer itself. There are no software downloads available for my printer anymore.
Where can I get a hold of this software again?

    Hello @sfyfe,
    Welcome to the HP forum.
I also could not find the software for the Deskjet 3070A.

  • I cannot connect to a Deskjet 3070A from Ubuntu 1204 or Ubuntu 10.10

I have been trying to set up a wireless printer.
I can print to the printer when it is attached via the USB cable but it loses all connection as soon as the cable is unplugged.
I installed the latest version of HPLIP 3.12.4 on both PCs but it is unable to find the printer as a wireless device when trying the setup with the USB cable plugged in on either PC.
I cannot configure the printer via WPS because my router a PLUSCOM WR-AR2317 doesn't have a WPS button and if I try to add a PIN there is nowhere in the router homepage (192.168.1.1) for me to add in a PIN.
I have printed off the Network config page and it shows that it has discoveded my home network but the wireless capability seems to not work at all, even though it says wireless is switched on.
The wireless blue light only flashes, there is no solid, always on light. I have had the printer about a metre away from the wireless router and it still doesn't seem to connect at all.
I have run hp-check and the output is below

The Deskjet series printers connect to wireless networks with what is called USB to Wireless.
You will need a supported operating system to connect a Deskjet to a wireless network.  Supported operating systems to connect the printer to a wireless network are Windows 7 (32bit and 64bit), Windows Vista (32bit and 64bit), and Mac OS X (10.5, 10.6, and 10.7).
While there is a software download option for Linux distributions, this is not the full featured software that is capable of adding the printer to a wireless network.  Most printers have a wireless setup wizard to accomplish this task, but the Deskjet series printers connect in a different way.
Once the printer is connected to a wireless network,  HPLIP 3.12.4 drivers should be able to locate the printer.
Click on Installing the Product Software for a Wireless Network Connection to receive instructions to connect to a wireless network using Windows and Mac operating systems.
Click on Software & Driver Downloads - HP Deskjet 3070A e-All-in-One Printer - B611a to download the appropriate software for a supported operating system to connect to a wireless network.

  • How to get bonjour to work on a wag120n router so ipad can print wireless to hp deskjet 3070A

Does anyone know of a fax to to get bonjour to work on a wag120n router so my ipad can see and print wireless to hp deskjet 3070A.  I can reach the home page of the HP printer from the ipad using safari but the printer doesn't come up as an airprinter option.   I have a PC laptop (not apple) and it can print wireless to the HP 3070A.
I have logged on to the wag120n and it has firmware V1.00.16
I can't see any multcast options within the admin setup.
Any clues ?  thanks for your time.

I have looked for multicast options/filter within the admin function on the router but can NOT see any.  I have contacted CISCO directly and they have confirmed that this router will NOT do it, and they have no intention on bringing out a fix.  If someone has got it to work, let me know.  thanks for your time.  Andrew

  • I am trying to print on filofax paper but wont print on HP deskjet 3070A

The guides only allow paper to be placed in the middle of paper selection, and only half of the printing comes out, half of the page is blank.   Its also very difficult to retrieve the shorter paper because the aperture where the paper is inserted is very narrow.   The pages for the filofax have to be turned over and printed on both sides.

    Hi Nontech,
I am not sure I understand exactly what you are doing; I will try and help.  I am a user, not an HP tech.
The manual suggests that you can adjust the side guides in the printer to accomodate paper sizes.  That said, there is nothing to be done about the tiny opening - the paper is supposed to be ejected when the print is completed.
The thickness of the paper used is very important.  I have discovered this the hard way myself.  Your printer won't have a selection for filofax paper; it should have a selection for something that perhaps you can pick that is as close to the same thickness as is possible.
    Deskjet 3070A B611 User Guide
See the section in the manual on "Recommended Papers for Printing" for a general description.
Using your printing Preferences for your printer, select the paper according to what is closest to the thickness of your "filofax" paper.  (EXAMPLE:  Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers > highlight your printer > right-click > Preferences > Paper > Media)
If you can more closely match the actual thickness of the paper being printed, you might get a print of the whole sheet without it stopping half-way through the process:  The completed print might then feed all the way out of the printer as it should.
    Good Luck!
    Kind Regards,
    Dragon-Fur

  • Hp deskjet 3070a wont print black

My printer has stoped printing black ink, color works fine. It happened a few printed pages after switching to new ink cartadges but only the black stopped working. No ink what so ever comes out. Have tried the print head aligning, cleaning and every other tip on your site. Even tried to manually remove the thing the cartadges sits in and cleaned it with hot water with help from instructions here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Issues-Troubleshooting/Deskjet-3070A-won-t-print-black-after-b... but nothing helped.
The printer is around 3 years old, so warranty, there's no error message and nothing else seems wrong. The problem came out of nowhere, one day it was printing fine, the next, no black ink. I live in sweden (seems to be relevant somehow).

  • My HP Deskjet 3070A no longer scans on my iMac.

I use OSX 10.9.3 Mavericks. Can you help as I need this facility for my work and jobs are piling up? Many thanks.

Hi there Ben-e-bow! Welcome to the forums
I saw your post about how you are unable to scan to your iMac from your Deskjet 3070A.
I would first suggest making sure you can copy successfully. If the copies work, you are good to carry on with these steps:
Mac OS X: How to reset the printing system
    Repair disk permissions
    Restart the Mac
Re-add the printer (do not use the AirPrint driver)
    Test scan
    I hope that helps!

  • HP Deskjet 3070a and BT Infinity Home Hub 2.

I purchased a HP Deskjet 3070a yesterday and I can't get it to connect to my BT Infinity Home Hub 2. There are 2 ways of connectng to the wireless network:
    1) Push the WPS button on Hub - but the BT Infinity Hub doesn't have one
    2) Enter the 8 digit pin (generated by the printer) into the routers configuration - I can't see anywhere in the Hub to configure this
I purchased the printer to use Wireless ePrint so if I can't resolve I will return to HP.
I see other people have experienced similar problems. I can't believe a standard HP printer has problems connecting to one th UK's most widely used broadband hubs.
    Hope someone can help
    Brad

There is a third way to get Deskjet printers on a network.  The primary method of connecting the deskjet to a network is to use the software on the computer to do a USB to Wireless connection.
What operating system does the computer use?
The steps to do this for your respective operating system can be found in this document from HP.  The steps start after the WPS method.  USB to wireless will require a computer on the same network and a USB cable to transmit the network data to the printer.

  • HP Deskjet 3070A B611A or B?

How do I tell the difference between HP Deskjet 3070A B611A and B? They look the same in the support documentation.

Hello @skalaibitol and welcome to the HP Forums!
I would recommend that you try a hard reset on the printer first. Pull the power cord from the printer and the wall (if it's not already plugged directly to a wall outlet, please move it to one when plugging everything back in), press and hold the power button on the printer for about 10 seconds (to release any excess power it may be holding) and then after the printer has been unplugged for a minute, start reattaching the power cord.
If the issue is remaining the same I would recommend that you call into our phone support and require with them about a further reset or any other steps that may help
Hope you have a great day!
