HP Deskjet 3545 shows "Incompatible cartridge " on the FIRST itself

 I got a Printer - Hp Deskjet 3545 here in Chennai to be used in my home, nearby Erode. I chose hp since, they have got good reputation and they promised onsite issue identification and solution.
But on the first day, after carrying it home, installing the cartridges showed "INCOMPATIBLE INK CARTRIDGE FOR THE PRINTER MODEL". I was shocked.
I called up the customer care and after analysing the issue, the rep said I had to take the Cartridge to Coimbatore to see what the issue is, which is 150 KM from my home town. I asked for assigning a technician to address it at my home itself, but the answer I got from him was really shocking -- this is a cartridge issue and for this, technician cannot be assigned, and that is COMPANY POLICY .
Is THE COMPANY not worried about how i feel when i see something that i got for almost Rs.7000  is not working on the first attempt itself.
The issue is till unresolved. Could someone pls let me know what can be done ?

To start, I would appreciate if you check if the ink cartridge you have is labelled as HP 678? This is the recommended ink cartridge for your printer.

    I have a discoverer report based on Oracle GL module. I'm reporting the balances @ segment1,2&3 which gives Journal date, Begining balance , Journal amount and Ending balances. I'm able to pull in all the data. But the user wants enters the parameter as From period, To period and the segment1,2&3. Here is the data which is showing in my report currently.

    user wants see the beginning balance only @ the first period. He is not interested in showing up at each and every line.
    Then ending balance is sum of the begining balance which is at the first line and sum of all the journal amount which should show up at the last line.
    I don't know how to show begining only at the first period and ending balance at the last row. Please help!!!

    Maybe you would come up with a custom folder that unions the GL Balance table to the GL JE Lines table? You would have to union a begiining balance entry to the JE detail. Not sure you would need an ending balance record. The beginning balance entry would have the first day of the month as its journal date value as part of the union coding, and journal name NULL. So that hopefully it will sort out as the first entry for the period. Though even that still provides an issue with crossing over multliple periods. You would have to add conditions that say that select the NULL journal name entry only if the journal date = the begin period begin date. Or as part of the union process you could create a new column with a flag for balance (Y for the beginning balance table records and N for the detail JE lines records) and use that new column for editing along with the begin date of the selected date range. Just trying to toss out some ideas here. I myself have never had to do sometihng like this, so I don't have a proven method to accomplish this. But think back to what happens when you join tables with SQL. You are getting a record today with begin balance, je detail line amount, and end balance, because you are joining gl balances to je detail. What you really want, I think is an SQL result that gives you the first result row being the beginning balance of the account of the user selected From Period, and then the following SQL row results are the detail JE rows. That way you only get the beginning balance to print one time, at the beginning, in the SAME column as the je detail amount, and you can then do a sum at the end of the account to sum up the Discoverer report detail rows that would give you an ending balance, again showing just one time for each account in the report. So you have to ask yourself this question - if I was writing this SQL myself (forget about Discoverer for the moment), how would I write it myself, manually, to get the desired result? Once you know how to code it manually, then that should give you a clue on how to set it up in Discovererer. Hope this helps a bit. Another thought - rather than use Discoverer, maybe look at the Oracle Finanacial Statement generator to handle this? Or maybe come up with some kind of materialized view (that might help performance, since GL detail lines table can get pretty darn large)? Keep in mind with a materialized view you get a non-current view of the data, so that won't work if you absolutely need to query over what is currently in the Oracle base tables. But if this is a once a month thing, you could refresh the materialized view after the period is closed and then the users can run the Discoverer report.

    I downloaded a tv show, (my first one) and when I downloaded the second show of that season and sync'd the Ipod when I went to check to see if the first show was still there it was gone.(the new show I downloaded is on the ipod now) It is still in my purchased menu on the computer but not on my ipod anymore? Are you only allowed to have 1 tv show at a time on an Ipod?

    What probably is happening is that you have a setting on the ipod checked, Here try this, sync your ipod, under the summary screen go to tv shows and check that sync all unwatched tv shows is not checked, if it is just change it to sync all and hit apply. Re sync and you should be up and running.

  • ITunes opens but without any text showing.  Drop down menus have text but not the app itself. I have a Mac Powerbook Pro running Windows XP under Boot Camp.

    Running under Windows XP,  a few upgrades ago iTunes started opening without any text showing in the application.  Clicking on PLAY will play music but no text shows to indicate what's playing and no text to show music library. Drop down windows show text but not the app itself.
    Subsequent upgrades and reinstalls have not corrected the problem, When I run under iOS (Snow Leopard), iTunes opens with text and runs correctly.
    Help!

    Because I created FAT32 partition using Boot Camp tool few days ago I installed my custom copy of Windows XP with SP3, IE7 and WMP10 integrated using nLite (for WMP10 integration use RVM Integrator). I did not use Boot Camp tool this time - I just booted CD using Option key. Then I installed Boot Camp 2.0 drivers you can find on Mac Disk 1. After this I installed Boot Camp drivers 2.1 update. In Add or remove Programs I checked drivers - I uninstalled old drivers which call identical, but you can skip this. Everything works fine BTW it is better to format your partition to NTFS - you have much less disk errors, you do not waste time for disk errors scans during Windows startup, your data are much more safe. If you need NTFS write permissions use great tool Paragon NTFS for Mac OSX or open source NTFS driver.

  • My mac mini shows the first octet of its ip address as the name of the machine in Finder

    Now for something really strange.  Up until about yesterday my Mac Mini showed the main disk in Finder as something beginning with James, maybe James Mac Mini.  Now, today, it shows 192, which is the first octet of its IP address.  The only change I've made today is to try and get Time Machine running again - or rather, to fix it so that I can see the time machine backups.
    I see, incidentally, that the machine directory on Time Machine is also 192.
    It may be worth my while mentioning that there is a strong hypothesis around that the NVRAM battery is dead or dying, but I haven't been in a hurry to change it as it's the last thing you take out of the case when you make any repairs.  I'd be more willing if a thing like that sat a little nearer the memory chips.

    its nothing to do with itunes, its movies form the internet. i got the file preview by taking an image off the internet, pressing command c and pasting it on top of the small icon in the get info section

  • Can only use the first page of Pages 09' Templates

    When I am looking through the provided templates in Pages 09', I put my mouse over the template and it scrolls through many pages of that one template. But then when I select the template that shows multiple pages, only the first page shows up and is usable. I can't even find any of the other ones I saw in the preview.
    Is this a simple thing I'm missing? I tried moving the mouse so the second page of the template showed in the preview and then clicked it, but it still did not work.

    Mousing shows all the available pre-formatted pages available in each template to give you an idea what is there, but you only get one, sometimes 2, when you create a new document. All of the other pages can be accessed via the Insert menu. Insert > Sections in word processing & Insert > Pages in page layout.
    If they all loaded when you opened a template, you'd have to go through & delete the ones you don't want & duplicate the ones you want more than one of.

    When playing a slideshow directly from an album the show will start with the first photo in the album unless another photo is selected.  In that case the slideshow will begin with the selected photo.
    There's also an setting pane for the album slideshow with an option to randomize the photos with each playing.
    Make sure the Shuffle checkbox is not selected.

    Dear Sir/Madame,
    My problem is regarding a  HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2515 PSC that I purchased in Hungary and am using (or at least trying to) in Austria. The standard cartridges, as it says on the machine, are nr 650. However I could not find any in the stores or in the Austrian online shop. The online shop offered nr 301 as a substitute. As I wasn't sure if it is, in fact, the correct cartridge, I went to a store and checked on the package, where it says that the cartridge is compatible with my printer. Upon inserting the cartridges into the printer, I got an error message stating that the cartridge is incompatible with the printer.
    1. I would like to ask if there is a way to reimburse me for the cost of the cartridges and which cartridges should then be used (apparently, not 301)?
    2. Alternatively, is there a way to make it work with these catrtidges?
    3. Why isn't 650 available?
    Being a student, it is very uncomfortable that I cannot print the materials and a quick solution would be very much appreciated!

    You will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work.  HP's web page on the subject is here.

    Deskjet F4400 printer is support only USB Connection.
    You'll need to have the printer connected to computer using USB cable.
    It is not a Network Printer.

    I just purchased new hp 670 xl cartridges online and I keep getting  "incompatible cartridge".I noticed that the old ones say product of Malasia and the new ones product of Ireland. When I reinstall the old ones, it goes back to normal. How do I fix this problem?

  • Deskjet 6940 - multiple black cartridge 96 installation error messages

    I have a new Deskjet 6940.  I installed the black 96 cartridge.  Printer keeps saying it is not installed correctly.  I cleaned the cartridge, ran the jet/bubble test.  Finally I replaced the cartridge, same installation error message.  I do not get the error message for the color 97 cartridge. Is this problem common to the 6940?  Not sure what my options are.  Thanks

    have the same problem. We installed cartiridge and did a test page by holding power and cancel buttons at same time. Nothing is showing up for the black cartridge. Maybe cleaning something would help, but I can't find any information on how to access the information using Vista.
