Hello I am an employee at HP and I just replied to another person on the same type of problem.  I don't know if you already did this but I had the same problem on a different printer and it worked for me.  You have to have the printer turned on and hooked up to your PC and then do a Windows Update.  With Win7 update the process will see that you have the printer and need a driver and should give you the option to download it.  You can then select it and download it and it should work.  Here is also the text from the HP website.  I hope this works for you.
NOTE:When you connect the USB cable to the printer, and then to the computer, Windows 7 activates Windows Update. Windows Update searches online for the most recent product driver on the Windows Update site. If the online driver is more recent than the driver stored in Windows 7, the computer downloads and installs the updated driver. The Windows Update process takes place automatically. Therefore, you might not notice that the process is in progress.

  • DESKJET 722C DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 7

I RECENTLY UPGRADED TO AN HP PAVILION. MY PRINTER IS AN OLDIE BUT GOODIE 722C. I BOUGHT AN ADAPTER CABLE TO CONVERT THE 25 PIN CONNECTOR ON THE PRINTER CABLE TO A USB CONNECTOR. I TRIED HP'S WEB SITE TO GET A DRIVER AND HP SAYS THEY DON'T HAVE A DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 7. DOES ANYONE  HAVE A SUGGESTION ON HOW TO PROCEED FROM HERE BESIDES DEEP SIXING MY 722 AND BUYING A NEW PRINTER ?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Sorry, but the above will not work.  The Deskjet 722 is a host based printer and is not compatible with the Deskjet 6980 driver.
You can install the driver as follows:  connect the printer with the USB-parallel converter.  Click on Start, Devices and Printers, Add a Printer, Local Printer and select the proper port. When the list of printers appears click on Windows Update and wait a few minutes for the list to repopulate*.  Once the list repopulates select HP as the manufacturer (not Hewlett-Packard) and select the Deskjet 720c driver, Next.
Do you have a 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows 7?  If you have a 64 bit Windows 7 you will need a patch as the supplied driver crashes the spooler.  After installing the printer (but before printing anything, including a test page) install the patch available here.
    * Edit - If you get an error "Windows was unable to get a list..." when you click on the Windows Update button then see the workaround here.

  • HP Deskjet 1280 Driver for windows 8.1 Pro

    Hi Team,
I have upgraded my compter operating system from windows 7 professional to windows 8.1 pro now, I unable to install  HP deskjet 1280 printer to new operating system.
Can you please send me a link to download the driver.
    Regards,
    Umesh

    Hi @Umesh_kanth ,
I understand that you need the driver for Windows 8.1. I would be happy to help you.
I checked the website and unfortunately there isn't any drivers to be able to download for Windows 8.1 for the HP Deskjet 1280 Printer. But you should be able to install the printer with a Windows generic driver. Plug the printer into the computer to see if Windows will automatically install a OS. driver.
You might have to add the driver manually, here are the steps:
Go to the start up screen. (tiles menu)
Type in "Devices and Printers", select settings, click on Devices and Printers.
Click on Add Printer and follow the steps.
Select the HP Deskjet PCL3 Class Driver from the list.
If there is anything else I can help you with, just let me know.
    Have a nice day!

  • Deskjet 5150 driver for Windows 7 (64 bit)

I have recently added a new laptop with Windows 7 (64 bit) to a small home network and want to be able to use the existing Deskjet 5150 printer. The printer is attached to a desktop that has Windows XP.  How can I get a driver for the windows 7, so that I can also print from the laptop via the network?

Try the following: on the Windows 7 machine go to the Devices and Printers folder, Add a Printer, Local Printer, Create a Port, Local Port, \\Computername\Printername (use the actual share name for the computer and printer), OK, then click on Windows Update and then select the Hewlett-Packard HP Deskjet 5150 series.

  • ODBC Driver for 64 bit not visible

Hello, I have installed the instant client for odbc followed by the odbc driver for 10.2 (64-bit). However, when I look for the odbc drivers only the default SQL driver shows up. Am I missing something?

    Hi,
Can you please specify the version of operating system along with the bit version.
Also, specify the path of ODBC data source administrator (odbcad32.exe).

  • 10.0.2 reader for Windows still not available

hi - over 6 hours after the security bulletin was released there is still no 10.0.2 reader for Windows available - please could Adobe advise when this will be online?
I'm looking at both of these locations and 10.0.1 is the latest...
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/new.jsp
    ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/

The advisory makes perfect sense - you're getting mixed up between "Adobe Reader" and "Adobe Acrobat".
Acrobat X users on Windows and Mac should update to 10.0.2 now. The patch is deployed, use "check for updates" to download it.
Adobe Reader X users on Mac should update to 10.0.2 now. The patch is deployed, use "check for updates" to download it or click here.
Adobe Reader X users on Windows should use Protected Mode, which will remove any threat until the quarterly cycle patch in June.
Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader 9.4.2 users should update to 9.4.3 now. The patch is deployed, use "check for updates" to download it.
If users have disabled Protected Mode for specific reasons, this is done at their own risk. Adobe does not recommend disabling Protected Mode except for closed environments where third-party tools are unsupported and the safety of PDF files opened by Adobe Reader can be warranted by other means.
The advisory released yesterday is very poorly written.  The first
half of the second paragraph specifically recommends users update to
10.0.2 and 9.4.3 to mitigate the vulnerability:
    Adobe
recommends users of Adobe Reader X (10.0.1) for Macintosh update to
Adobe Reader X (10.0.2). For users of Adobe Reader 9.4.2 for Windows and
Macintosh, Adobe has made available the update, Adobe Reader 9.4.3.
Adobe recommends users of Adobe Acrobat X (10.0.1) for Windows and
Macintosh update to Adobe Acrobat X (10.0.2). Adobe recommends users of
Adobe Acrobat 9.4.2 for Windows and Macintosh update to Adobe Acrobat
    9.4.3.
Only at the end of the paragraph does it mention that the update will not be made available until June for 10.0.1.

  • Dowloading Deskjet 6840 driver for 64-bit Windows 8.1

    Hello,
I've had a Deskject 6840 on my wireless network for some time and have just taken possession of a new 64-bit desktop running Windows 8.1.  I tried to add the printer using the "Add Printer" facility of the Control Panel.  As the 6840 did not appear in the list of HP printers I did a Windows Update only to find that it still doesn't appear in the list.   I then visited the HP website and arrived at this page:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4158&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3854...
There are two downloads offered, but neither of them are the driver!  I tried downloading the Printer Install Wizard, but all that told me was that the driver was missing and to use the "Add Printer" facility of Windows, which I had already done!
My old desktop is bust and I'm unable to print on the new one so am having to work on my W7 laptop.   I'm getting a little exasperated.  Am I going to have to buy a new printer?  Has anyone got their 6840 working with Windows 8.1, if so how did you do it?
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
Try following these steps and check if that may help:
Right-click the Start button () or the lower left corner of the screen, click Search, and then type Change device installation settings.
    Click Change device installation settings.
If it is not already selected, select Yes, do this automatically (recommended), and then click Save Changes. Your Windows 8 computer can now automatically detect the most current in-OS printer drivers and then download and install them using Windows Update.
Now add the printer through the network and allow a few moments for the printer to install.
If the same persists, open the Control Panel and select Devices and Printers.
Take a note of the printer IP address on that screen (Listed under the Addres column) and click on Add Printer and then click "The printer that I want isn't listed" link.
Select to add a printer using Standard TCP/IP and click on Next, then type the printer IP and follow the steps.
Once the printers list appear, click the Windows Update button and allow it some time. the list will re-appear once the updte completes.
Note: depanding on your internet speed it may take some time, 10-15 minutes are normal for the update to complete.
Select HP, then select the HP Deskjet 6800 Series and follow the steps to complete the wizard:

  • Deskjet 1280 driver for Windows 7 Home 32 bit

I have bought ,exclusively;  HP product for home and business for over thirty years and have now had four instances of (supposed) auto-destruct.
I have a Deskjet 1280 (with, now,  an expired warranty)  and can not obtain a driver to work it from my replacement computer.  The HP support site has proven unhelpful ( after half a day's concentrated effort! ).
Is it a matter of HP policy to deny its loyal customers access to their purchases after a predetermined period?
Am I mistaken or would I be wise to alter my allegience?

    Hi @davidse
I suspect your question would be better answered in the HP Enterprise Business Community, as your HP Printer is a commercial model.
My technical expertise is with consumer products and software, I am sure the commercial folks would be happy to help if you re-post your question for them to answer. The HP Enterprise Business Community is an HP Forum designed for the Commercial and Enterprise customers to help one another. I am sure you will find some HP folks there to help too.
Click here to view the Printing and Digital Imaging. When the page opens you will see the option to 'Log in' or 'Register Now' on the right. The commercial forums are separate from the consumer boards, thus you will need to register if you don't already have a commercial account.
You may find the HP Deskjet 1280 Printer support page helpful while you wait for somebody in the commercial Forum to respond to your inquiry.
    Best of luck.

  • Deskjet 3650 driver for Windows 7

    Dear People,
As far as I know the driver and a very nice little utility program for the Deskjet 3650 that came with the printer and ran on Windows XP has been ported to Windows 7.  I say that because I believe I saw them on the HP web site a couple of months ago.
    Now I cannot find them.
Question: where are they and/or may I have them?
Please do not suggest that the Microsoft driver is adequate.  It is not, it suffers several shortcomings that the HP version does not.
Thank you for your attention.  :-)

  • Why firefox 64 bit for windows is not available?

    Hello friends.
Today, many of computers and cpus are 64 bit. Also most of opeerating systems sucha as windows have 64 bit edition.
Now firefox for linux is available. Why mozilla don't publish 64 bit edition of firefox?
If the problem is plug-ins availablility, now most of important plug-ins such as Flash player can work on 64 bit browsers. This problem is solving.
Other browsers, like Internet Explorer have 64 bit edition.
Please work more and more to solve this problem.
I posted this on the forum to get notes of other firefox users!
    Thanks very much.

Thanks for your very good answer. But When we have x64 cpu and x64 os, this means we have more addressing space with more than 3 GB RAM.
When firefox supports x64, it can use more addressing space in memory and can speeding up Java Script runs Also in applications such as web based games, and and new HTML 5 web apps).
The feature web apps will use more complex code, this codes will run faster on x64 browser.
If x64 browser haven't any good reason, why others such as microsoft are releasing x64 browser? and Adboe is suppring x64 in newer flash player plug-in?
If x64 IE is slower than 32 bit version, this is because they have little work on 64-bit browser for reducing memory usage and faster runs
I think companies must work more and more on supporing maximum capacity of the newer CPUs.
After many years past of releasing x64 architecture in hardware world, the the world of software is so retarded.
    Thanks
