HP deskjet D2300 series driver not working in windows 7

This procedure is much too complicated for an average user. You know that millions of Wondow XP users are switching to Windows 7. I' sure that most of them are facing similar problems. HP should come with a user friendly solution that solves the above issues. Don't you think?
My problem remains unsolved.

Hi dvh,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I see that your HP Deskjet D2300 series driver not working in windows 7.
Do you see any error messages with the installer? Or does it just close out and doesn't install?
In the meantime, please try using our HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.
Hope to hear back from you, and have a great day!

my HP Deskjet 2540 scan does not work with windows 10, however, it still does eprinting. i need the solution and i haven't got it.

OK, More information.   Installed Media Portal 1.  This works with the tuner card without additional modification, so this appears to be some kind of issue with the software.  Media Portal 1 does install a different version of Direct X, I don't know if that could have anything to do with it, but HP MediaSmart Live TV still comes up with the same error and will not run.

  • Satellite C650D-113 - WiFi driver not working on Windows XP

The wifi-driver downloadable from Toshibas site is not working it seems, it installs as if it's all correct, removing the yellow exclamation mark from the device manage. But the "wireless network connection" icon that is supposed to appear in the network connections folder does not appear and this is where I am stuck.
Or maybe it wasnt the driver, downloaded and installed the wireless lan client manager because there were no specific "wifi driver" to download.

Yep, checked the fn+f8 before posting, and it's on. A new problem has arisen now aswell, the audio driver won't install with the message "ERROR: driver installation failed: could not find the MEDIA device for this driver." What gives?
Edit: Allright, the driver from the link given worked, awesome, thanks! Only sound left that needs to work and I'm set. :)

  • Bluetooth driver not working on Windows 10

Hello everyone, I upgraded my PC from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 today. Everything else is working fine but the bluetooth driver seems to be incompatible. I had the 'Mediatek (Ralink) bluetooth software driver for Windows 8.1' installed earlier, which doesn't work with Windows 10. I checked with the Ralink website and the HP driver support but didn't find anything as yet.  My question is, will the driver for Windows 10 be made available soon?thanks

    Hi  ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues, with help from the community!
I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 15-n010tx Notebook and issue with drivers for Bluetooth and Windows 10. Here is troubleshooting when drivers are not available yet. Have you tried in the Device Manager to update the driver that is currently installed? In the device manager try selecting find new hardware.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. It has a Wireless support assistant inside it that might help you. The updated drivers will be posted as available. We are seeing them update regularly. I would check back to your drivers page. I hope this helps. Thanks.

  • Video Card driver not working on Windows

    Hi,
I just finished installing Windows 7 through bootcamp just for Microsoft Flight Sim X. I used bootcamp to burn a disc with the updates and drivers and installed it. When I try to start the flight sim, I get: "Flight simulator is not working with your video card. Veryify you have the latest drivers installed for your video card."
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Glen

64-bit is much much better handling today's system with the RAM graphic card memory and the rest.
If not that I would have gone with 8 RP 64-bit as well which includes support for USB3, multiple monitors is much much better, and better self recovery and repair too, and feels like it has been tuned and optimized better than 7 performance wise.
I don't see much use for 32-bit OS except on small 2-3GB systems and tablets.

  • ThinkPad T510: eSata External Hard Drive Not Working with Windows 7...

    Hey folks,
My LaCie Quadra 1TB drive arrived on Monday and the Quadra disconnects 1 minute into any copy / move function using the eSata connection. The USB 2.0 connection works just fine, however, I invested the extra money in a Quadra specifically to take advantage of eSata connection and would like to get this working.
I received the following from LaCie support:
"...the issue with eSATA and large or small drives on Windows 7 is a known issue.  However, it is not limited to LaCie drives and we believe this to be a Windows 7 driver issue from Microsoft... using a third party eSATA card with its own drivers does eliminate the issue."
So, before I spend another £50 on an eSata ExpressCard trying to fix something that should work out of the box:
Any idea how to get my eSata drive working on my ThinkPad T510 or ThinkPad Mini Dock Plus Series 3?
Does the ThinkPad Mini Dock Plus Series 3 eSata connector have its own drivers, as this - ideally - is where I'd like my external drive to be permanenelty connected.
    Kind regards,
    John Diddy

    Hi Bananaman,
Nope. tried a new eSATA cable and the issues are exactly the same.
LaCie recommend an ExpressCard with it's own drivers to resolve the problem. Trying to avoid this route as I intend to use the drive for regular backups and running virtual machines so it'll be used heavily and I'd rather not have a cable sticking out of the side instead of the docking station!
    Any further thoughts?

  • Touchscreen driver not working under Windows 8

Installing Windows 8 on HP Touchsmart 520 is really a nightmare. The installation procedure of display driver and Voltron Touchscreen drivers usually produces error 9998. Weirdly, I succeeded in somehow working around this by using a different display driver (some beta-version from Intel), but this was buggy. Since reinstallation of Win 8 I cannot get the Touchscreen driver to install anymore. Given the fact that the Touchsmart series is selling on its Touchscreen capabilities and given the fact that HP relies on Microsoft OS it is not only mildly irritating that HP has so far not been able to supply device drivers that work well with Win 8 Release Preview. Which solution do you suggest ? Wait ? Go back to Win 7 ?

    Sure, thanks anyway. HP sucks.

  • XtremeGamer driver not working with Windows 7

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and I can't get my XtremeGamer sound card to work. I've installed the latest drivers listed on your site and I still don't get any sound. Any thoughts as to what might be causing this problem? I've used the update manager to ensure my driver is fully up-to-date.

I have been battling with this issue as well for several weeks now. I have gone as far as to try Windows 7 professional 64-bit, downloading the driver from numerous locations, reformatting the computer several times, and attempting to install it on an SSD as well as a standard hard drive. I finally decided to call Lenovo and just got off the phone with them... At first, the representative advised me that it was because I installed Windows professional 64-bit instead of the home premium version that came with the computer. I advised them that I was not willing to except that answer and that I disagreed with it (not to mention that at one point had it up and running with Windows 7 64-bit professional). The following response that I was given is to pay either $179 for ongoing support or to pay $90 for a one-time support issue. This is unbelievably frustrating the computer is not even six months old, I have never run into issues like this before, and let's just say this isn't my first barbecue so I know what I'm doing. Simply out of principle, I am now considering getting rid of this thing and going back to Asus... So tired of dealing with this garbage.

  • DVD drive not working with Windows?

Hi, I have a 20" Intel Core Duo iMac running Windows XP SP2 via Bootcamp.
I tried burning a homemade DVD last night using several programs (Nero and DVD Shrink to be specific) and I was not able to choose the DVD drive as the target.
When I open My Computer, it shows as a CD Drive?
I know it at least reads DVD's because I've installed a few things using DVD's. And on Mac OSX it both reads and writes DVD's because I've backed up my stuff on a DVD-R before installing Bootcamp.
So it appears that it just isn't writing DVD's on Windows XP.
Is this a common problem or is anyone else having similar troubles?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
I have the same problem with mine which is why I am searching this forum.
Were you ever able to resolve this?
    Thanks

Which "model" & "generation" G5 iMac do you have?
Need this info so that the knowledgeable users can provide you with the proper troubleshooting solution(s).
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301724-en How to identify your iMac
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.4/en/mh355.html Getting information about your computer
You can have this info displayed on the bottom of every post by going to 'My Settings' which is located in the column on the right under your name, and filling in the information asked for.
    Thank you
Your system info confirms you have the BETA OS 10.0 installed. No G5 iMac came installed with that OS.
Also, if you have Windows XP installed, more than likely you have an Intel iMac. If this is the case, you should be posting over in the Using DVDs and CDs with your *Intel-based* iMac Forums.

  • CD DVD DRIVE NOT WORKING ON WINDOWS 10

Since downloading Windows 10 my cd/dvd drive is not showing up in device manager. Went in to BIOS and its there ,but no where else

When asking this question, you can be better served IF you would mention the exact computer model.  With this info, it's possible to research whether a driver exists. As noted here the rollout of WIN10 still has drivers issues. That's not to degrade the product, but it does happen.

  • Error message - The HP Deskjet 1510 Series was not found

I bought the Deskjet 1514 on 19/07/15 and installed it on my relatively new laptop. It worked ok, then I did the Windows 10 upgrade on 01/08/15. I installed the updated drivers from HP for this device. What ever I do, (have uninstalled software, reinstalled at least 4 times, used the scan doctor, swapped USB cables and ports, cleaned the disk...) I just get the message The HP Deskjet 1510 series was not found, yet when aligning the ink cartridges the scanner will work but I cannot do the test scan in the scan doctor or scan anything using the HP software (which you have to do as there is no proper control panel on the actual device). As bought the device primarily as a scanner, I am not happy and just want the thing to work but haven't a clue how to proceed except to take the thing back to Tesco and get a refund and buy a Canon instead... Please can anyone help as the HP support is useless? The printer part is working fine, which makes it ridiculous.

Hey , Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that your HP Deskjet 1514 All-in-One Printer is not being detected via the USB Cable connection on your Windows 10 computer. We will be repeating the uninstall process for troubleshooting today as it is crucial that we have a nice clean slate to work with. Please complete all of the steps below.   Please disconnect the USB Cable from your printer and computer before proceeding.   Step 1:  Remove Driver:  1. Click on your Start button    2. Type Programs and Features in the 'Ask me Anything' box to the right of the Start button. • My hp deskjet 1510 series does not print when connected to my hplap top (windows Vista),

My hp deskjet 1510 series does not print when connected to my hp lap top (windows Vista), it says the printer is not active, although it is default printer, connected and on. However, it does work when connected to the (also HP) lap top (windows 8) of my husband.  I did everything the hp print and scan doctor advised and also what I could find at HP support (like switch of fire walls, reinstall everything, check printpooler ec etc)... it still does nothing except that I managed to print a diagnostic print which should give information about the condition,  but it only gives numbers and letters like : 11. SN = [Edited for Personal Information] Yr  12 PER = 05YR etc, that does not really help me :-). It won't print any testpages.  H E L P!!!

    Hello Elisabeeth,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you're unable to print using the Deskjet 1510. I will do my best to assist you! When you reinstall the HP software, did the installation state it was complete?
I would start off by following this HP document on 'Printer is offline' Message Displays on the Computer and the Printer Will Not Print. From this document, please make sure you check the connection type and the ports.
Please post your results, as I will be looking forward to hearing from you.
