HP DM3 Backlit Keyboard (580687-001)Can't add to cart

Hi,
I'm currently looking to purchase a backlit keyboard for my HP DM3-1132tx notebook.
I've located the part number on the HP Partsurfer site

One problem. Why isn't there any checkbox for "add-to-cart"?
I have a shopping cart icon above but the page doesn't seem to have any control to add parts to my shopping cart.

I have dealt with these people and I have had no problems, but even though your part number is correct, PC Hub does not show this as being a back-lit keyboard. I entered your part number and PC Hub substitutes with a different one. Very frustrating...
Here are a bunch from e-bay too and many ship world wide, but none show as being back-lit ???

I am not sure what else to say here except to contact the vendor(s) and ask them if it's actually back-lit.

Can the Add To Cart image render the hand cursor to look more like a clickable link?

I have used a custom image for the add to cart tag - {tag_addtocart,<img src="/images/fg_buttonbuy.jpg" width="203" height="76" />} - however our client is worried people will be unsure if that's where they click to add the product to the cart as the cursor stays as the arrow and doesn't change to the hand like when clicking on other links.
I was pointed to this page http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_button_test and told I was able to customise my code so that it did render the hand. I've done a little bit of trial and error however am unsure how to add the button code to the add to cart tag.
If anyone is able to assist it would be greatly appreciated!

I tried the target the class but there was no class associated with the button rendered:

Can I wrap it in <span class="button"><img . . .></span>? If so does it need to be assigned to the link. ie. .button img a { cursor:pointer; }

Movie Preorder - Can't Add to Cart

I would like to pre-order the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and Guardians of the Galaxy steelboxes for the promotional $19.99 price each, but as long as I'm signed in, it won't let me add either of them to my cart. I get a variety of different errors...
In Chrome, I get a big red bar that says "There was a problem adding your product to cart."
In IE and Firefox, I can't sign in at all. If I try adding products to my cart, then signing in, it says "Oops, there was a problem", and won't let me proceed. If I try to sign in first, I get a huge blue bar saying "My Best Buy", but I'm not actually signed in...
I gave it 5 hours, but I still can't log in and put things in my cart... Please let me give you my money?

Safari Browser - Can't Add to Cart

My safari browser will not let me select add to cart on the best buy page. It doesn't even load on any of the besy buy pages but will on everything else like Amazon, etc. It loads in Google Chrome and other browsers. Any reason why it's not working? Any one else have this issue?

Use a different browser. Turn off the popup blocker you are using. Call BB and ask why no Add to Cart button is showing. Maybe they ran out of them and the sale is over?

Anyway I was wondering if this laptop in the link can change its regular keyboard for a LED backlit keyboard instead cause I usually find my self using it in the dark most of the time and the keyboard gets hard to see in the dark. So I was wondering if you guys would know if it can be upgraded. ( it would be helpful for me playing games on Steam in the night)

No Armando.
There is no ZIF connector for it in the board, so basically you've to change the whole motherboard & I don't see any compatible boards with that function.

Satellite A500 PSAM3A-04200E seems to belong to Toshiba Australian notebook series.
In order to use a backlit keyboard, the motherboard needs to provide a special connector/port for keyboard illumination cable.
You could get some details from a Toshiba ASP in Australia

But I found some parts retailer and many of them provides keyboards W/O BACKLIGHT

Well, when I visited a near by HP Customer service center for the replacement of some components in it, the HP Technician has told me that My HP PAVILION DV6-3217TU Laptop is compatible for the up-gradation with Backlit Keyboard as he found the required sockets available for a backlit keyboard on my laptop's Mother Board. I felt pretty happy to hear about that, as it sounds real cool for the guy like me who works mostly at night time...

I understand you would like to upgrade both your Dv7’s to have backlit keyboards, is that accurate? I will assist you with finding the necessary information.
Neither laptop has the chance to be upgraded with a backlit keyboard. Checking the services guides for both computers, they do not show the keyboard available. Also looked at the HP PartSurfer and the parts were not available there as well.
When upgrading the keyboard the motherboard as to have the additional plug specifically for the backlit keyboard. Normally that connection is right next to the main connection the keyboard plugs into.

HP Probook 4540s can get backlit keyboard?

Hello all,
I have an HP Probook 4540s, i7, 2nd generation laptop. A backlit keyboard wasn't something I was considering when I bought the laptop, but now, after use, I find myself wishing that there was back light for the keyboard.
My question is whether I can have a backlit keyboard installed into my laptop (ie. replace the keyboard maybe?). If so, what are the steps I must take to do so?

Hi,
Normally the keyboard alone won't do anything good. You need to replace the mother board/system board too because you need somewhere to plug cables for all the lights. Some people suggested using internal USB power source and this could be a very, very, very costly exercise.

Can anyone recommend a backlit keyboard to use with the Macbook Pro?

I like to hook my laptop up to a larger monitor and work that way while at home with an external keyboard hooked up by usb. I am using an older mac keyboard but its hard to see the keys if the room is not well lit. Can someone recommend a backlit external keyboard to use with the macbook pro that has a number pad? This seems really hard to find for some reason... Thanks!

Logitech makes a USB-powered backlit keyboard but it is for Windows PCs. You should check its Web site to see if it has a similar one for Macs.
