hi,
i have a hp pavillion dm4-2191us and need to change the wifi adapter card. looking to change to intel 7260.
hmwwb ac bluetooth card. how can i overwirte the white lit so the bios accepts this card? is there another method?
should i just buy a different wifi card?

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Pavilion dm4-2191us Notebook and needing a wireless card replacement. Here is a link to the manual page 40 gives a list of supported Wireless cards. It has to fit into the Notebook and be compatible with the motherboard.

I got an HP DM4-2191us from Stables the other day. I've just arrived after a long 8 hour flight to my home here in **bleep**atoga, American Samoa, and am typing this message using a friend's laptop at a Krispy Kreme. Normally the internet's pretty fast here. But anyways my wireless ain't connectin on my DM4 so I took it over to our local repair shop a few blocks over in Suifaga to see if the boys there could get it workin again. Hello. I am the computer expert. I understand there is like a specific model of wireless device compadible with the HP DM4-2191us. My girlfriend say she think's that the cozmic radiashon is affecting her notebook while in the aeroplane. My girlfriend is looking for a wireless card that is compadible. I have looking inside her bios and saw that there are only these cards compadible which we can find on the island. My girlfriend has a photoshoot on monday and will have to make the pictures format on her computer and then send out photos to her clientelle using her wireless. There is not enough time for my girlfriend to sending her laptop off to switzerland to fix. im am sorry, my first language is Tokelauan and I do not have a proper language driver for my notebook.

This cart reader is a kind of multi card reader and you can use different cards with it. In my opinion every multi device should be used very, but very gently. I do not know what happened exactly in your case but maybe you have damaged something inside.
Try to restart your notebook and use other SD card to check if everything works well. Please do it very gently and if you see something is wrong stop with inserting the card.
I use 1 GB SD card on my A200 without any problems.
In my opinion you should check notebook by technician.

Relax, nobody's ripping you off...
Apps are tied to the Apple ID you purchased them on and not the device so getting them all back is easy so long as you know the account details. To reinstall the apps just use the App Store and use the original Apple ID (account) that was used to purchase them, then re-install. If you setup a new Apple ID on your device when you initialized iOS 5 then go into the App Store app and change the account back to the one that was there before. Then go to update > Not on this iPhone and start installing...

X200s WiFi network Card is not shown in Device Manager

Hello,
I have a X200s laptop. WinXp is installed on it.
The problem is that the WiFi network card is not listed in device manager under network cards. And the Wifi led is always off. Only bluetooth and Wireless wan leds are on.
Can anyone help me, I need to let the XP detevt the WIFI adapter.

Intermittent issue with Wifi network card.

Nothing can be more annoying than an intermittent issue. Unfortunately it does happen to my MBP. This is the new MBP purchase Jan. of this year. About 2 months ago, the MBP developes a problem. The sympotom is, after powering it on, the Wifi network card sometimes suddently stop working, even cannot be recognized by the system accidently. After the problem arise, I cannot turn on wifi again. The only way to get it back is to restart it. It used to work well with my home network and company network.
I have tried every possible mean to figure out what's wrong with it. Tried SMC reset, PRAM rest. Reinstall a new OS on a new partition (per instruction from Apple support). I hate to say this is a HW issue but support people from Apple did suggest sending it to a service center for a check up.
Before I actually dropping it at service center, I wanna know if someone has experienced that before?
Repeat, it used work well with my router.

How far away and what obstructions (walls - wood/concrete) is the wi-fi router?

I think you are running into the following issue.

Note: If you leave the Personal Hotspot screen or put iPhone to sleep, iPhone only broadcasts the Wi-Fi network for an additional 90 seconds. If no devices join the Wi-Fi network during that time, iPhone 4 stops broadcasting your Wi-Fi network. You can start broadcasting your Wi-Fi network again by tapping Settings > Personal Hotspot.
So, if I understand correctly, if you you leave your iphone on the the Settings --> Personal Hotspot screen, than it shouldn't disconnect.

When you enter the Developer program, you have to leave the internet in a sense. You are entering a business relationship with Apple. That is why developers have to submit personal information and cannot act anonymously unless they have a legal right to do so (via a corporation). You wouldn't want to put a successful app at risk by violating the Apple Developer terms of use which clearly state, "The Apple ID and password you use to login as a Registered Apple Developer cannot be shared in any way or with any one."
Furthermore, choosing to develops apps under a female name is, unfortunately, going to attract attention to begin with. It shouldn't matter, but it does.

i already bought an Lenovo Ideapad S300.
I tried to replace the existing WiFI/Bluetooth Card with an Atheros AR5B195 Card but I realized that Lenovo has an BIOS blockage for those cards.
I got two Questions now :
1. Is there a White List for the S300 Model? And if so, please tell me the Cards on.
2. In Bios Update Notifications for v8.07 is a hint "Add support 4 new WLAN cards".
Which are these cards? And should I update to v8.09 than for better card support?

I've read about WiFi SIM cards, but so far, all I've found are the kind used to make your phone a WiFi hot spot. I don't like cell phones, and I don't plan on using that feature of my Centro, but I do want to access the internet with it. Is there a SIM card replacement that would connect to a public WiFi network?

WIFI SD Card for Palm

I have frecently decided to start using wifi on my E2. I now have the problem that Palm no longer makes a wifi card. Is there another maker of cards that will do the same and allow me access to wifi?

Palm m515 wifi SD card compatibility

There are several Palm (or PalmOne) wifi SD cards on eBay now, and they list compatibility with several models. The m515 is not listed; does that really mean it's not compatible, or just that they didn't list it? How do I tell if a Palm product is compatible with the m515?

The m515 is not compatible with the Wifi card. The card needs a device with PalmOS version 5.x (or Windows Mobile 5.x).
The m515 has version 4.x.

Why would you need a wi-fi card?
It sounds like you are talking about a SIM card, which has nothing at all to do with wi-fi. It is for cellular service from a wireless phone provider. If this is what you mean, then no. Ipods are not cell phones and cannot access cellular data.
