HP DreamColor Advanced Profiling Solution-NO GO
I updated my MAC to Snow Leopard OS today and now it will not recognize the specially filtered i1Display2 that Xrite made for my HP Dreamcolor monitor under the name DreamColor Advanced Profiling Solution. I know that the original software was written by Xrite for OSX but is there an updated driver that will work on my computer?
The program will start but when you go to the HP Dreamcolor Colorimeter Status, it says device is not connected despite the fact that it is. It is not a faulty USB port, I checked all of them.
The calibration software version 1.0.2 dated 8/26/08 is installed and all that I have access to through the programs software update.
Found the solution if someone has the same problem. I install the sound driver from hp support page and everthing works after that. Apparently I got the old driver in my laptop before.

HP DreamColor Advanced Profiling Solution discontinued problem
Hello All,
i want to buy the HP DreamColor LP2480zx 24 for new video color correction project . after reading some comments on it i found that i have to buy the HP DreamColor Advanced Profiling Solution to maintain it is color and to be sure about the result . but the problem is it is dicontinued now . is there any alternatives or any website that i can buy form ?Not a problem the reason your profiling is failing for wireless users is that the profiling information for dhcp isnt hitting the ise nodes. For the wired devices are you using the dhcp probe to profile the users? If so, then your issue is with the dhcp proxy setting on the controller. Even through you have the ip helper statement on the svi, essentially your controller is proxying the dhcp broadcasts from the client straight to the dhcp server, so even you enable the ip helper statements on the svi for the ISE nodes it will not work.
You are correct for the guests, typically if a guest has enabled proxy settings before they should know that they should probably disable this setting when the connect to a new network.
Also I can not remember but arent the proxy settings configured under the network settings tab? Meaning the only time you would experience this issue is if the ssid you are broadcasting is the same as the ssid they have connected to previously?
Thanks,
Tarik Admani

HP Dreamcolor Calibration Solution (with LP2480zx)
I've been trying to run the calibration application (version 2.2.0 on a 64 bit Windows 7 machine but have been receiving the same error message "Failed to read the prescriptions" each time the application launches.
When I click "Ok" to clear the error message, the "Calibrate Display" window appears but the pull-down menu for the "Choose the Display Preset" list is completely empty.
The LP2480zx's USB cable is properly connected and the monitor is connected to the computer via DVI.
Has anyone experienced this or know the way around this issue? I wrote to x-rite, the makers of the Colorimeter but they replied that this was a software issue that had to be taken up with HP.
Would appreciate any advice on this.Hello @1deadpixel,

Thumbnails, but no pictures? A possible colour profile solution
Pics scanned in to iPhoto using my Minolta Scan Dual IV appeared as thumbnails, but when loading appeared as empty grey boxes surrounded by white dotted lines.
Once I removed the embedded scanner colour profile (sRGB) using Photoshop, the pics appeared as normal.
I hope this helps others who are suffering from missing pics.
17 Powerbook G4 Mac OS X (10.3.8)Sorry but I have not idea what you have done
I thought I backed up my library using time machine to an external drive but all I see are thumbnails &
What exactly does this mean
when I click on one a big question mark comes up instead of the full size original.
Is this using iPhoto?
I tried rebuilding the library from the external drive but now even the thumbnails are gone,
Exactly what did you do? iPhoto does not rebuild from anywhere - it only will rebuild the library it is currently using
I deleted files &
Please explain
then emptied the trash when my startup disc was full
Again I have no idea at all of what you have done - but if you have deleted files from the iPhoto library using the finder and emptied the system trash then you library is toast and you will have to start over
Is it still possible the originals are there?
Of course - it is possible - if they are they will be in the Masters folder in your iPhoto library - right click on the iPhoto library and show package contents and look (BUT DO NOT TOUCH - NEVER make any changes to the structure or content of the iPhoto library using the finder)
How can I see where all the thumbnails are located?
They are in the previews folder - same warning as above
If I've lost the originals I'd still like to have the thumbnails all in one place.
Again not sure what you want - you can create a new library and import any image you want into it including the previews - but they are very low quality - almost unuseable

Can't use eye one with OS 10.9
I have just purchased a new mac mini. I have updated the HP software but I cannot get it to use the eye-one. It prompts me to use the apple colour balance without the dongle on the screen.
Anyone?
This question was solved.
View Solution.Hi leicaflexsl2,
It took me as long as it did because the HP Eye-One is a commercial product. I suspect your question would be better answered in the HP Enterprise Business Community.
Although my technical expertise is with consumer products and software I did manage to find some information.

Personally my best suggestion would be to check for an Apple software update.
Hope this helps.

UPA Service: User Profile Sync is not currently provisioned
Hello Team
As we have SharePoint 2013 On-Premises and got stuck on the UPA, It was working fine previously (Before migrating SQL Server). I have migrated SQL Server 2008 R2 to SQL Server 2014 by using Alias and everything seems to be working properly except UPA.
I am unable to start user profile synchronization services and getting message in event viewer below

My SharePoint server fully pathced to SP1 and June 14 CU without any error/warnings on that. I have checked and searched and applied solution but still i am unable to start the services for FIM and UPA.
All the Users, Directroy and registry permission are correct. I dont want to remove existing one because mysite working, unable to synch new data from AD as this is not started.

Date display with possible solution not working
<bean:write name="peter" property="tDate" >
Hi I am displaying the dates from database using above tag.
Now the problem is I dont need to display the dates which are sundays
so let me know how to do this
thanxs in advance
possible solution I got as below
Just add a method to your ActionForm like this:
code:
public boolean isDateSunday() { if (theDate == null) { return false; } Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance(); cal.setTime(theDate); return(cal.get(Calendar.DAY_OF_WEEK) == Calendar.SUNDAY); }
Then in your jsp:
<logic:equal name="peter" property="dateSunday" value="false" >
<bean:write name="peter" property="tDate" >
</logic:equal>
but
Actually I am getting dates from database directly .No actionform is involded.
I have access to only jsp page and in that follwoing code
<bean:write name="peter" property="tDate" >
even i tried to put the java code in jsp file but getting error on this line
property="dateSunday" as there is no getter method for this in bean.even though there is getter method for tdateYou dont have to put java code in your jsp.
Add a getter method that returns a boolean value in which you check if the tDate (date property) resolves to a sunday.
package yourpkg;
class YourBean{
private date tDate; //you already have this property and getter/setter methods for it.
public boolean isSunday() {
if(tDate== null){
return false; //or throw an exception
Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance();
cal.setTime(tDate);
return cal.get(Calendar.DAY_OF_WEEK) == Calendar.SUNDAY;
//other props and methods
}Then in your jsp,
<logic:equal name="peter" property="sunday" value="false" >
<bean:write name="peter" property="tDate" >
</logic:equal>Note the above will automatically call the isSunday() method on your bean.
Does that help?

How do I load a color profile onto my CS3?
My printer has requested that I work in CYMK, GRACol2006_coated1v2.icc color setting. I can't find it on my list of profiles. My printer has sent me the file. How do I get it into my pull down list?
Thanks in advance.Profiles need to be added via Windows's color management. Put the profile in C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Driver\Color along where the other profiles are and it should show up as a printer profile. You can also put them in Adobe's color folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Color\Profiles.

Hi all,
I need help.
I have PS 6 on my PC and my Surface Pro 3. On my PC my Epson Stylus Pro 4880 printer's paper profiles are all available when i want to soft proof before printing. On my SP3 the 4880 profiles are not available. I have the printer's software installed on both computers and the are on the same net work. The PC is directly connected to the 4880 and the SP3 is connected wireless. How do get the 4880 printer's paper profiles on my SP3? Thanks in advance.Profile are install into your OS. I have and older Epson a 4800. When I added it to my Surface pro 3 as a remote printer the Epson 4800 device diver and profiles were installed into the Surface Pro 3 Windows 8.1 OS. I do not Photoshop 6 installed on the Surface Pro 3. PS6 is from 2000-2001 I do not know how well a Photoshop the old would run on windows 8.1. I do have Photoshop CC 2014.2.2 the Epson Profiles are available for soft proof as well as for printing in it. Adobe 2x UI did not fit on screen so I used the registry update and external Photoshop manifest file to use windows display scaling rather the Adobe scaling. Adobe scaled the 2160x1440 display to 1080x720 which does not meet Photoshop requirements. Microsoft default scaling for the surface pro 3 is 150% so it scales the display to 1440x960 which meets Photoshop requirements. Without scaling Photoshop UI is hard to use even with a mouse.

Sun Studio 12 - Can't specify command line args while profiling
New to Sun Studio development environment, and having trouble profiling my application. I have specified command-line arguments for both Debug and Release builds in Project/Configuration Properties/Runninjg/Arguments and this works fine when running the project from within the IDE. However when I attempt to profile the application through IDE Advanced/Advanced Profiling/Start, my application is launched with no command line arguments. So far I have been unable to find any place to define command line arguments for the program when run using the profiler. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Chad.Yes, there is a bug. I reproduced the problem using a sample project Welcome. If I run it without profiling, the program prints correct arguments:
Welcome ...
Arguments:
1: arg 1
2: arg 2
[Press Enter to close window] If I run it with profiling "Advanced->Advanced Profiling->Start", the program prints wrong arguments:
Running "/export/home/SunStudio/SUNWspro/prod/bin/collect -d /export/home/nikm/SunStudioProjects/Welcome/nbproject/private/experiments -o test.1.er -A on -p on -S on /export/home/nikm/SunStudioProjects/Welcome/dist/Debug/welcome arg 1 arg 2" in /export/home/nikm/SunStudioProjects/Welcome
Creating experiment database /export/home/nikm/SunStudioProjects/Welcome/nbproject/private/experiments/test.1.er ...
Welcome ...
Arguments:
1: arg
2: 1
3: arg
4: 2
5: null
Run successful. Exit value 0.Note, it got 5 arguments instead of 2.
So, there are two bugs:
1. argument with spaces is transformed to several arguments.
2. a "null" argument is added to the list.
I'll file this bug and let you know the number.
A workaround is to ignore the last argument in your
program if it is "null", but this is a very ugly workaround :-)

How to turn off color management in Canon MX860 for printer profile
I just got my Spyder3Print updated with the SR software to calibrate my Canon MX860 on a Mac OS X system. I am using 3rd party paper (Kirkland) and 3rd party ink (uni-kit). There are no existing .icc profiles out there for this combo. I have been using canons "GL2/GL3" profile which does not give me, as expected, a good color match.
When the program asks to print the target it says to make sure the "color management is off".
I cannot find an "off" selection. In the "color mode" portion of the dialog box I do get to choose between "colorsync" and "canon color matching"???
I was guessing colorsync and then I have to pick a printer/paper/ink .icc profile. Not sure what to use for this first target print.
Not sure if that choice represents color managment off?Just got the answer from Spyder:
his applies to ALL Canon printers drivers running under both Leopard and Snow Leopard and it's the correct "solution" to get them to print without color management (a critical, unavoidable requirement for building custom printer profiles with any 3rd party printer profiling solution).
Make sure you're running OSX 10.6.2 or whatever the latest is. There have also been some Canon driver updates that will show up in System Preferences:Software Update, so make sure you've got nothing left to apply as an update. Another way to make sure you have the latest Canon driver installed: go to Print & Fax, select your current Canon driver, and click on Options and Supplies... to see what version it is. (It should be 10.26.0.0 or later, and here's the Apple list of latest drivers for all printers):
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669
If you don't have the most recent driver, then click "-" to remove the older Canon driver from the list. Then, with the printer attached and powered on, click "+", and add back the driver for it (this should download and install the latest version for you).
Now: when you PRINT and want to turn off color management in Spyder3Print, THIS is the way to do it:
In the Color Matching pane of the driver, select ColorSync (not Vendor Matching, or Canon Color Matching!)
In the popup beneath that, you'll see "Automatic"; a list of all the Canon standard profiles; and a command to choose from other profiles. Use that last command to see a list of all profiles on your system.
Select "Generic RGB" from the list. (this is the key). Then say OK and you'll see that "Generic RGB" shows beneath the ColorSync radio button in the Color Matching pane. This is the secret to disabling color management with the Canon drivers in Snow Leopard (and it also works in Leopard, as well, although in that case, a warning gets displayed underneath "Generic RGB", which can be ignored)
Select the paper type, output quality, resolution, etc. as usual and print the target sheet. (Just leave the Color Options pane alone)
NOW you should get a properly dark (non-color-managed) target print. Measure this and build a profile.
Printing with "No Color Management" from Photoshop actually works the same way. It invisibly pushes through "Generic RGB" or an equivalent when you choose "No Color Management" in its Print dialog, This is why, in the Color Matching pane of the driver, ColorSync subsequently comes up auto-selected and also disabled; Photoshop has done the same thing I just described "under the hood" and as a result, that choice in the driver gets "locked".
When printing through the profile in Photoshop: do it the usual way. (Photoshop Manages Colors, choose the profile, Saturation intent, etc etc etc). It should work fine.
When doing a test print from inside Spyder3Print: since Spyder3Print applies the profile internally to the image data before it's sent to the driver, you should set the driver up exactly the same as when you printed the target image (as I've described above), so this would be ColorSync:Generic RGB in the Color Matching pane. -
Difference between Solution manager and ASAP
Hi All,
Can anyone tell me what's the difference between SAP solution manager and ASAP?
Regards
SarojASAP stands For Accelerated SAP........its a SAP implementation methodology. It consists of Five phases---
1. Project Preparation
2. Business Blueprint
3. Realization phase
4. Final preparation phase
5. Go live and Support
For Solution manager u can follow this link:
http://www.sap.com/services/pdf/BWP_SB_SAP_Solution_Manager.pdf
ASAP and Solution Manager are tools used for managing SAP implementation and roll out project. Both supports sevral stages of the project as mention by Raj.
The main Difference between three tools (ASAP, VSAP and Solution Manager) are as follow:
ASAP:
- Offline CD set with tools, content and a methodology for component-based implementation projects
VSAP:
- Offline CD set with tools, content and methodologies for Evaluation, Implementation and Continuous Business Improvement
- ASAP CD set is used as a tool platform. ASAP content is included to cover the implementation phase
Solution Manager:
- Onsite platform to support key implementation actitivities
- Including key ASAP concepts and tool features
- Enhanced concepts to encompass the specifics of mySAP.com implementations
- Integrated platform to support Implementation and operation of mySAP.com
- Solution Manager is server based tool.
More informaiton you can find from the following links:
ValueSAP : https://www.service.sap.com/valuesapupdates
Solution Manager: http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager
some documents what is the duty of asap and solution manager i think with u can understand the difference.
asap means,
ASAP
ASAP stands for Accelerated SAP. Its purpose is to help design SAP implementation in the most efficient
manner possible. Its goal is to effectively optimize time, people, quality and other resources, using a proven
methodology to implementation.
ASAP focuses on tools and training, wrapped up in a five-phase process oriented roadmap for guiding
implementation.
The road map is composed of five well-known consecutive phases:
Phase 1 Project Preparation
Phase 2 Business Blueprint
Phase 3 Realization
Phase 4 Final Preparation
Phase 5 Go-Live and support
In today's post we will discuss the first phase.
Phase 1 : Project Preparation
Phase 1 initiates with a retrieval of information and resources. It is an important time to assemble the
necessary components for the implementation. Some important milestones that need to be accomplished
for phase 1 include
Obtaining senior-level management/stakeholder support
identifying clear project objectives
architecting an efficient decision-making process
creating an environment suitable for change and re-engineering
building a qualified and capable project team.
Senior level management support:
One of the most important milestones with phase 1 of ASAP is the full agreement and cooperation of the
important company decision-makers - key stakeholders and others. Their backing and support is crucial for a
successful implementation.
Clear project objectives:
be concise in defining what your objectives and expectations are for this venture. Vague or unclear notions of
what you hope to obtain with SAP will handicap the implementation process. Also make sure that your
expectations are reasonable considering your company's resources. It is essential to have clearly defined
ideas, goals and project plans devised before moving forward.
An efficient decision making process:
One obstacle that often stalls implementation is a poorly constructed decision-making process. Before
embarking on this venture, individuals need to be clearly identified. Decide now who is responsible for
different decisions along the way. From day one, the implementation decision makers and project leaders
from each area must be aware of the onus placed on them to return good decisions quickly.
Environment suitable for change and re engineering:
Your team must be willing to accept that, along with new SAP software, things are going to change, the
business will change, and information technology enabling the business will change as well. By
implementing SAP, you will essentially redesign your current practices to model more efficient or predefined
best business practices as espoused by SAP. Resistance to this change will impede the progress of your
implementation.
Building a qualified project team:
Probably the most important milestone early in assembling a project team for the implementation. If you are
implementing the materials management and plant maintenance modules, you need to include people from
both of these departments. The team should also represent management as well as non management or
"functional" personnel. Sometimes management is less aware of the day-to-day functions of an organization,
including how implementing SAP will tactically influence those function
ASAP- Second Phase- Business Blueprint
SAP has defined a business blueprint phase to help extract pertinent information about your company that is
necessary for implementation. These blueprints are in the form of questionnaires that are designed to probe
for information that uncovers how your company does business. As such, they also serve to document the
implementation. Each business blueprint document essentially outlines your future business processes and
business requirements. The kinds of questions asked are germane to the particular business function, as
seen in the following sample questions:
1) What information do you capture on a purchase order?
2) What information is required to complete a purchase order?
Accelerated SAP question and answer database:
The question and answer database (QADB) is a simple although aging tool designed to facilitate the creation
and maintenance of your business blueprint. This database stores the questions and the answers and
serves as the heart of your blue print. Customers are provided with a customer input template for each
application that collects the data. The question and answer format is standard across applications to
facilitate easier use by the project team.
Issues database:
Another tool used in the blueprinting phase is the issues database. This database stores any open concerns
and pending issues that relate to the implementation. Centrally storing this information assists in gathering
and then managing issues to resolution, so that important matters do not fall through the cracks. You can
then track the issues in database, assign them to team members, and update the database accordingly.
ASAP Phase- 3 - Realization:
With the completion of the business in phase 2, "functional" experts are now ready to begin configuring SAP.
The Realization phase is broken in to two parts.
1) Your SAP consulting team helps you configure your baseline system, called the baseline configuration.
2) Your implementation project team fine-tunes that system to meet all your business and process
requirements as part of the fine tuning configuration.
The initial configuration completed during the base line configuration is based on the information that you
provided in your blueprint document. The remaining approximately 20% of your configuration that was not
tackled during the baseline configuration is completed during the fine tuning configuration. Fine tuning
usually deals with the exceptions that are not covered in baseline configuration. This final bit of tweaking
represents the work necessary to fit your special needs.
Configuration Testing:
With the help of your SAP consulting team, you segregate your business processes into cycles of related
business flows. The cycles serve as independent units that enable you to test specific parts of the business
process. You can also work through configuring the SAP implementation guide (IMG). A tool used to assist
you in configuring your SAP system in a step-by-step manner.
Knowledge Transfer:
As the configuration phase comes to a close, it becomes necessary for the Project team to be self-sufficient
in their knowledge of the configuration of your SAP system. Knowledge transfer to the configuration team
tasked with system maintenance (that is, maintenance of the business processes after Go-live) needs to be
completed at this time.
In addition, the end users tasked with actually using the system for day-to-day business purposes must be
trained.
ASAP Methodology - Phase 4 - Final Preparation:
As phase 3 merges into phase 4, you should find yourselves not only in the midst of SAP
training, but also in the midst of rigorous functional and stress testing. Phase 4 also
concentrates on the fine tuning of your configuration before Go-live and more importantly, the
migration of data from your old system or systems to SAP.
Workload testing (including peak volume, daily load, and other forms of stress testing), and
integration or functional testing are conducted to ensure the accuracy of your data and the
stability of your SAP system. Because you should have begun testing back in phase 2, you do
not have too far to go until Go-live. Now is an important time to perform preventative
maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance at your SAP system.
At the conclusion of phase 4, take time to plan and document a Go-live strategy. Preparation for
Go-live means preparing for your end-users questions as they start actively working on the new
SAP system.
ASAP - Phase 5 - Go-live and Support:
The Go-live milestone is itself is easy to achieve; a smooth and uneventful Go-live is another
matter altogether. Preparation is the key, including attention to what-if scenarios related not only
to the individual business processes deployed but also to the functioning of technology
underpinning these business processes and preparation for ongoing support, including
maintenance contracts and documented processes and procedures are essential

Hallo for all,
I would like to get following information programmatically: which VIs was called in my application (with timestamp), call chain for each, how long time takes the call, etc (in general, the same information as can be obtained by Tools->Advanced->Profile VIs...).
But the problem that I would like to get this not in development mode, but in builded executable, and, of course, without insertion additional code into each VI.
Any ideas?Andrey Dmitriev wrote:

You could try to run the compiled application from within the development environment: rename your exe (say foo.exe) to an llb (foo.llb). Open from within the LV development environment the top level VI of this llb and run it. Use the profiler. (I haven't done the latter, but running the compiled VI that way will work)

Serious performance issues and no sound???
I just purchased a PM8M-V VIA P4M800 + VT8237 Chipset Basedd motherboard, for the primary reason that my EVGA GeForce 6600 GT 128MB video card was having random artifacts popping up all over the screen. My problem is my performance is very laggy (2 FPS in Battlefield 2...version 1.1.2554-356.0, lowest video quality settings, tried it at both 1024x768 and 800x600 and I've messed around with the desktop resolution); I opened up the task manager during battlefield 2 and it showed 100% PC usage, which never went down during the game. I set the video card AGP apeture size to 256 MB which helped the performance a tad. Also, the video swap memory I set to the lowest possible in the BIOS. Drivers for both the new mother board and the EVGA card are installed up to date. I ran Norton and Adaware, my comp is clean, and I also ran disk defrag. I haven't done disk cleanup, ETC but I figured something that small couldn't effect performance that bad. I saw something in the BIOS about changing the AGP Voltage, not sure if I should screw with this setting
My second problem is I have no sound. My sound is a built in card and it reads, verbatum (from the Motherboard manual)
AC97 link controller integrated in VT8237R
Realtel ALC655 6-Channel Software audio codec
- Compliant with AC97 v2.2 spec
Again, the drivers are all up-to-date on the sound, as well
Here again are my PC stats
MSI PM8M-V motherboard
VIA P4M800 + VT8237 Chipset Based
Intel 2.0 GHZ Processor
1 gig RAM
EVGA GeForce 6600GT 128MB video
40 GB hardrive which isn't full
Upgraded power supply to handle all of the hardware
The EVGA card isn't the problem; I'm positive of that because I already returned it to newegg.com and they sent me a new one that had the same problem. Any other suggestions? Again, performance is horrible and I have no sound, even with updated drivers
please, reply to this post, or email me a solution at [email protected]. I'm desperate to use my $400 in computer stuff I bought
If you want, I can email you the dxdiag.txt file, I've heard that can help greatly to see that info...dxdiag.txt part 2

Hardware Acceleration Causes Blue Screen of Death - Resolution?
My computer running Windows 7 64 bit started crashing with Blue Screen of Death when Viewing YouTube videos or other videos like The Daily Show. The "solution" was to turn off hardware acceleration.
The crashing appears to have stopped, but now the video quality is degraded and jerky, to the point that the video can just freeze while the audio continues. So either I crash or I have poor video playback.
Has anyone found a solution to the BSOD that would enable me to re-activate hardware acceleration?
Symptoms with hardware acceleration enabled: Computer will crash after playing a handful of YouTube or other online Flash videos. Exact number of successful playbacks varies, but it will usually crash somewhere around the sixth playback (I cruise YouTube the way other cruise Wikipedia.) The screen will first flash black on one video, and when the next video starts, the computer crashes.

ThanksHi Chris, thanks for responding.
Browser: IE9 64 bit, and Firefox 17.0.1
Dxdiag attached, but are you wanting a version of this after hardware acceleration has been re-enabled and a crash has occurred?
Thanks,
Steve
