  • Re: Replacement Li-ion battery pack for Satellite L20-268

Please could you advise me where I could purchase a replacement Li-ion battery pack (model no. PA2450U-1BRS) as the current battery now runs flat within about 10 minutes. Many thanks

    Hi,
If you need an replacement batterypack then you can either check on the toshiba website or just type on www.google.com the model number (PA2450U-1BRS).
Believe me, you will find as many onlineshops as you can count which have this battery pack for sale.

  • Battery replacement in battery pack not full value reported

I replaced the batteries in the A1080 battery pack and the system reports it is only good for 324mAh. Using the battery health monitor utility, it's capacity is reported at 4400mAh which is what it should be. Did I connect a monitor wire wrong or is a battery monitor reset required?
I measure 4+, 8+, 12+ and 16+ at the various wires, which are grey, blue, yellow and red.
What can I do to fix this and get it to fully charge?

I've done a PRAM reset through open firmware commands, I've drained the battery through the sleep method and the values of the carge count remain at 144 and the charge vaialble remains at 324 mAh which is the same as before I replaced the battery. Seems to me that the PMU is not getting reset limiting the battery to only charge or discharge to the previous values of the original batteries. Is ther something I'm missing?
    Thanks

  • Which battery packs are compatible to the one in Satellite A50-110?

    Dear all,
I have a Satellita SA50-110 and realise that I need to urgently replace the battery pack, and of course I would like to upgrade, if I already have to invest, from 4400mAh to maybe 6600 or even 8800mAh. However, when I browse the various online shops, I can not find any offers for my Laptop model SA50-110, which appears to be somewhat exotic for some reason unknown to me. Instead, I find lots of offers for other models, like for the SA50-100 or -105.
If I search for the battery specification (PA3356U-2BRS), I have similar problems finding a proper replacement.
Can somebody help me here? Can I buy e.g. the battery pack for a 100, will that fit to the 110? The thumbnails I found look quite promising, but of course I can't rely on that impression.
Can I find somewhere out there a listing on which battery packs are compatible to PA3356U-2BRS?
Many thanks in advance to anyone who can point me to an appropriate link.
    Cheers,
    fipps123

    Hello
You don't have exotic notebook but the model description is not SA50 but Satellite A50. To find info about compatible options is very easy and you can get it in one minute only.
Please visit http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Peripherals & Services > Options & Accessories > Options and Accessories Home Page. There you can select your notebook model Satellite A50-110 and see all power options with full list of all compatible batteries.
    Good luck!

  • Problems Locks up when battery pack installed OK when mains only

Intermittently locks when trying to boot up. Can only be corrected by removing the battery pack and running on mains supply only with the battery pack removed.Answers please

    Hi   Alex
This issue could be down to a malfunctioning Battery which is mis-reporting to the machine and causing the machine to lock-up or even shutdown .  You say that the machine operates correctly whilst being powered by the AC adaptor which indicates that there are no general machine problems .  All I can suggest at this stage is to maybe buy a replacement battery for your machine and see if this issue is rectified .

  • Ivyskin T4 Battery Pack

i got the Quattro T4 Battery pack from Ivyskn - an im having a problem then wonder if anyone else is having
ill charge the battery pack completely and then turn it off and connect to the case (or ill charge it with the case connected - it doesnt matter) - it stays off for awhile but within a day or less one red light will start flashing- at that point you can not turn the battery on or off - if you connect it to the usb and an a charger - it immediately shows all 5 lights as solid indicating its fully charged - then a day or less later it will go into the 1 red light flashing again an unable to be turned on or off
Ivyskin sent me a replacement battery because they said something as wrong with the usb cable or connection - the new battery had a new usb able - but its doing exactly the same thing as the original
Anyone else who has one of these noticing this - i emailed Ivysin several days ago but they have not responded yet - i dont know if its something Im doing wrong or a design problem with the battery
If you are having this problem i would both encourage you to respond to this posting and also contact Ivyskin - if enough people report the problem maybe they take it seriously and do something about it - I really like the T4 case but i cant rely on the phone with the battery pack attached
    Thanls

Well, this is what they emailed me today:
Please follow these steps to reset the battery and if you're still having an issue let us know and we'll arrange an exchange
    1. Connect the battery pack by itself to a USB port of your PC or Mac
    2. Press and hold the on/off switch and be sure the unit is turned off. You need to hold the switch for 3-4 seconds and be sure all the LED lights are turned off.
    3. Once the last LED lights starts to illuminated, you can release the button to reset the battery
    4. The battery now should indicate the amount of charge by its LED lights and it should begin to take a full charge.
Once the unit is reset and fully charged, you can connect it to your iPhone.
Please note that for optimum use, you need to be sure to turn the unit on only when you need an extra battery power, it can not act as a 2ndry battery to be on at all times.
    Unfortunately this means 2 things:
    1. the pack is advertized as being able to be drained 'first' before your onboard battery is drained (quote from website: "It sends a signal to iPhone to drain the case's power first before using the iPhone's battery. This advanced power distribution system, enables the iPhone to receive an additional 200% battery life." unquote). The final comment implies that's not the case. In fact, I'd already worked out that the battery pack actually charges the internal battery, so its really an +onboard charger+ rather than an +onboard battery+.
    2. if and when the problem occurs you need to use something else to reset your battery, which means that you need an available PC/laptop and/or USB cable that plugs into a wall socket to fix it.
Pretty **** poor. If I knew this was going to be the case I'd have looked for alternatives.

  • Battery Pack things!

Is it worth it to get one of those battery packs things that supposedly increase the life of the ipod mini since mine can't play for more then a couple minutes after i tried everything? Or should i just get a refurbrished ipod mini?!

    Ian R-P ,
if he got it last christmas, the warrentys only 90days unless you buy an extended warrenty.
90 days? Where did you ever hear that?
    http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/ipodisight.html
"Apple Computer, Inc. ("Apple") warrants the iPod and iSight product against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase ("Warranty Period")."
    and
"Apple warrants replacement products or parts provided under this warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of the replacement or repair for ninety (90) days or for the remaining portion of the original product's warranty, whichever provides longer coverage for you."

  • Battery pack case that is best for my iphone 4

i am looking for much more life between charges i need to find a good battery pack that is like a case what do you think is the best for me

The Mophie Juice Pack Air is the best battery pack case on the market. For $79.95 you get 1500 mAh all in a sleek and pretty slim accessory. The amount of bulk added is not to significant and it is quite stylish.
If you want more power, Mophie has the Juice Pack Plus, which is 2000 mAh.

  • Is it possible to install the T60p BIOS update without a battery pack?

    Hello,
I was running some maintenance on my gfs Thinkpad T60p, model 2007EC1, and the BIOS update failed since she does not have a battery pack. The battery pack is unavailable as it was left behind when she came here for the summer. Is it possible to install the BIOS update with out? Is there a work around?
    Thanks for your time.
Edit: Sorry i forgot os. It is currently running win xp sp3

There used to be some jumper hacks on the web for the older Thinkpad models.  Try a Google search and see if you find anything.

  • Can I use an external battery pack on my 17" Mac Book Pro?

    Hi
This may sound like a crazy question, but is it possible to safely use an external battery pack on my Mac Book Pro?.....specifically a Bescor Video Light battery pack which I can just plug my a/c power cable into. This would be very useful in the case of a local power failure (which actually may just happen tonight, as we are currently in the middle of a blizzard).
    Just wondering......
    Thanks,
    Anneita

Yes, you can use external battery packs — but I wouldn't use one that I wasn't perfectly certain was very carefully controlled.
External battery packs specifically designed for MBPs:

Another option, designed to protect sensitive equipment from power surges and enable uninterrupted computer usage during AC power outages and irregularities, is called an +uninterruptible power supply,+ and the leading manufacturer of such devices — which incorporate storage batteries of various capacities — is APC:
