hi guys
i m facing bootup problem with this dv6703tx laptop model
its very very shame on hp for makeing such a bad model this most of hp laptop have
1>heating problem
2>fan
3>GPU
list on and on
the biggest mess with there CUTOMER CARE CALL CENTER
they dont look to they even know more about laptop
still they r working and taking u r time
very useless chat .
Connect a different display to the desktop PC in order to isolate this issue to the display or the video output of your desktop PC.

Late 2011 model display problems: white screen and shuts off on its own
A few days ago my macbook pro (late 2011 model) starting going nuts. The screen would turn white or become pixelated all the sudden, even if all i'm running is Chrome. The laptop is not over heated. This is what would happen:
Screen goes white or become pixilated
Computer shuts off on its own after a moment
Attempt to reboot, stuck on apple logo screen (pixilated)
Shuts off on its own again
The only way to reboot is through safe mode.
I've tried resetting SMC and running an apple hardware check.It's most likely the macbook pro 2011 denied by apple GPU problem many many others suffer from too.

On my Windows Vista PC I run several Adobe programs: the CS3 suite, Illustrator9, Reader9, but also Photoshop7 and ImageReady7. Two days ago suddenly all Adobe programs refused to start, including the Reader . Apparently, there was a problem with the licences. I have downloaded the LicenceRecovery program from Adobe Support, and having run it, as expected, all programs did run again.......except for one: Photoshop7. Every time when I start the program, it begins loading all the necessary modules, but then a Windows error message appears, saying that the program stopped running, that there is a problem (?) and that I have to close the program.
I've tried several times to de-install and re-install Photoshop7 and ImageReady7 (they both came on the same disc). Every time Set-up congratulates me that I have succesfully installed the programs, while in fact the start problem persists. ImageReady starts, Photoshop does'nt. As Photoshop7 is now an oudated program, Adobe's helpdesk refuses me to help . I suspect that something in the Windows Registry has been corrupted (by LicenceRecovery?), but I have no idea where to look for. Has anyone encountered this problem before, and If so what was the solution?Google is your friend.

Photoshop 7 no longer works in Leopard OSX 10.5
Photoshop 7 was released in March 2002, it is now 10 years old.
Sorry for your problems, but you have only 2 possible solutions:
Roll back the OS to an earlier version
Upgrade to a newer version of Photoshop (to save some money you could just get Photoshop Elements instead)
You might want to download a trial version to Photoshop Elements to see if it does what you need before spending any money.

CRS on Redhat 5 auto-start problem
Dear all
Recently I tried to install Oracle 10gR2 on Redhat 5. I did research and took all the necessary actions to install it on Redhat. Everything went well, according to the documents and at the end of the installation, all the resources were up and running. However, after the install, only the VIP was up and ONS and GSD was in unknown format. When I stop the nodeapps and start it again, everything stars working. It seems that the problem is something to do with boot process. I tried to put some delay ( for OCR mount ) but still no luck. This is the result from crsd.log from node1 when node2 is down.. :

KamyCRS on RHEL 5.5 auto-start problem

Recently I install RAC Oracle 10gR2 on Red hat RHEL 5.5. “Two node cluster, iscsi storage, ocfs2 mounted files & ASM ”
I did research and took all the necessary actions to install it on Red hat. Everything went well, according to the documents and at the end of the installation, all the resources were up and running. However, after the install, only the VIP was up and ONS and GSD ,ASM and the other services was in unknown state. When I stop the CRS & start it –all again, everything stars working. Please friends I need to fix this problem because the cluster services and the client workstation are stopping when the servicers is relocated to node 1 after the server reboot because the CRS did not worked still on node and manual starting is taking time.

Are you guys going to fix the iTunes 10.5 start problem for Windows 64?
Windows 7 , 64 bit. If you have any connection at all to the Internet, I am sure you are aware of the iTunes not starting problem. ALL the suggested fixes are useless for some...uninstall, reinstall, drive wipe, reboot, registry edit, registry cleaners.....all to no avail. APPLE stuff is supposed to work....I have 2 new phones here that require 10.5 to work......blah. When you click the icon, or try to start from the .exe for that matter, it appears like it is about to start...and then nothing......if you check task manager, you can see it is running.......I have tried every permutation of a fix, including wiping the hard drive and reinstalling Win7 and updating......no good
Come on APPLE fix this problem......dont make me buy android phones.......On the "flip-side", I had the smoothest and quickest iTunes upgrade/install ever. This was on my Windows 7 Professional, 64bit system.
That you performed an assumedly 'clean' reinstall of your OS, is not a good sign. Obviously, iTunes doesn't like something within your system.
Here are the next steps that I would take if in your position:
- Are you absolutely positive that you have the 64bit version of iTunes?
- Re-download a new copy of the 64bit version of iTunes 10.5
- Try downloading iTunes from one of the 'mirror sites' - FileHippo is good
- Call your PC's manufacturer and see if they are aware of any conflicts with your specific machine's build with respect to iTunes
- Temporarily use another PC (if available) to get your iPhones up and running

I know it sounds ridiculous, but my computers are used to work in pretty warm environment. Now, since we have those low temperatures in Florida, especially over night, I experience a lot of problems with starting them. Can it be some internal battery problems ?
Quicksilver 933: Would keep on coming up with the "You need to restart your computer" - message after seconds of spinning the start wheel (grey screen with apple symbol). Guess what.. I though, the HD is done, took it out, put it into my double processor and ran DW on it with no problem. It appeared on the desktop. Put it back into the Quicksilver and the starting problem occurs again.
iBook G4: No way to get it started. It turns the starting wheel for minutes and then the blue screen appears, where you can move the cursor, but that's it...tried 15 times, no change.
Anybody with an idea ?

bafometWell.. I lived all my life in Europe (Germany) and know what kind of cold you are talking about. But it really feels cold after years in Florida, what happens right now..
In the meantime I tried more options with no results. Restarted from the CD, was able to run DW and Disk Utility on both computers and didn't get them to run.. The iBook came up with an index code failure, but amazingly you can run DiskWarrior and it seems no problem..
I wouldn't know how to run Hardware Test, if they are not starting..

MSI NX8800GT-T2D1GE-OC Starting Problems
Sinds yesterday i got starting problems with my pc.. well it didnt start at all. So i started to trace the problem and switching out part.. and i finally traced the problem to my grafics card. When i put another grafics card in my pc i boots up no problem but when i put my NX8800GT-T2D1GE-OC back in it just wont boot. when i try my NX8800GT-T2D1GE-OC in another pc that pc wont startup at all. so any1 know whats wrong with my Grafics card? it looks just fine and as far as i know nothing happend to it.

No i didnt but i dont have a speaker attached. i got a little lcd thats shows the boot sequence. when i try to start it with my card it it keeps saying: Initalising CPU. so i doesn't even start up with the card attached. when i disconnect the card the boot sequence goes normal. also i reseated the card many times and i tried different pci-e slots on my motherboard. nothing helps. i hope we can figure it out.. im afraid just broken somehow..although i wouldn't know what happend.
Also ive tried clearing the bios.. i tried everything i can think off. -
If i turn off my phone and then turn it on The Navi button remains lightened but nothing appears on the screen until i plug in charger but it takes like 10-100 minutes b4 something appears on my screen and then i can finally start it.If my phone is started everything is running normally and everything is fine batery is ok and last for 1 day no problem but if i have to restart my phone and i dont have any charger around i cant start it only The Navi button remains lightened but nothing appears on the screen just like i said already
Try another battery, or another charger. Or get a new phone (probably not worth repairing the N96, if it is the phone that's broken).

I have a mac book pro 15 inch mid 2010 with the latest operating system.
when i start the the computer i get the screen attached as a photo then a black screen and then it turns off and it just keeps doing that over and over again, till i push the power button for 10 sec then it turns off..
I have tried the following:
reset pram
starting in safe mode
starting in recovery mode but it won't do it.
i a few other key combinations that i found on the internet.

Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider, to have the machine tested. The routine hardware diagnostics used by service providers do not detect the fault. There is a specific test for this issue that Apple calls "VST" (for "Video Switching Test.") Ask for it. A "Failed" result means that the fault is present. However, according to reports, some units may pass the test, and yet still be deemed eligible for repair under the program. Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler start up error
Hi All,
I just downloaded Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler (2.0.0.57.0) [Released 1 July 2009] by selecting the option "Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler for Windows (This zip file includes the JRE)"
After I installed the same and tried to run it by clicking datamodeler.exe, I get the following error message
"unable to create an instance of the Java virtual machine located at path:..\jdk\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll"
On the same machine I can successfuly run the Oracle SQL Develper with no errors. My machine is having Windows XP Professional SP3.
Any ideas? If there was a problem with Java, than the Oracle SQL Developer should also not run. But as stated it runs with out any error but the Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler gives the above error.

JAA1491 - The above problem has nothing to do with the memmory. I tried on a 400 MB RAM, 900 MB RAM, 1.5 MB RAM & 2 MB RAM with the same arror.

The same error occurs with both the files.
3 - The Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler version is "Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler (2.0.0.57.0) [Released 1 July 2009]" and the file I downloaded is "Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler for Windows (This zip file includes the JRE) - (57M)"
If I look in "D:\datamodeler\jdk\jre\README.txt" I find
"Java(TM) Platform, Standard Edition Runtime Environment Version 6"
If I run "D:\datamodeler\jdk\jre\bin\javacpl.exe" I get

If i check at the control panle add/remove program

If I go to "http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp" and download "jre-6u16-windows-i586-s.exe" and run it.
If I go to "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6" I find the same files as in "D:\datamodeler\jdk\jre"
I am able to run Oracle SQL Developer with out any kind of error let alone the above one. But with Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler I get the above mentioned error no matter what I try.
As the error states "unable to create an instance of the Java virtual machine located at path:..\jdk\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll". The file "jvm.dll" is located at two places. One at "D:\datamodeler\jdk\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll" and the second at "D:\datamodeler\jdk\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll"
A similiar problem occurs with JDeveloper with the fllowing solution

I tried to do the same (Copy from client folder to server folder)
D:\datamodeler\jdk\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll
COPIED THIS FILE TO
D:\datamodeler\jdk\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll
Nada. So I reversed it (copied from server folder to client folder)
D:\datamodeler\jdk\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll
COPIED THIS FILE TO
D:\datamodeler\jdk\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll
Does not work. So I tried another solution stated at the same forum entry

In this file, change this line :
AddVMOption -Xmx512M
by
AddVMOption -Xmx256M
Now, the executable is lauching correctly. No more errors with Java Virtual Machine.

But the ide.conf file is only at "D:\sqldeveloper\ide\bin\ide.conf" which is for the SQL Developer and not the SQl Developer Data Modeler
Correct me if I am wrong but
JRE = Java Run Time Envoirment
JDK = Java Development Kit
And Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler needs JRE and not JDK. In any case I download JDK
jdk-6u14-javafx-1_2-windows-i586.exe (121,306 KB) and installed it but no succcess.
I tried every thing except completely re-install my whole PC.
Any help will be much appreciated.

I have a question. I'm having a problem with an dv6 model notebook/laptop. When I completely shut it down and try to start it you can hear the fans running, the screen never turns on and 2 lights on the keyboard just continuously blink. If you keep pressing the button how ever the laptop will eventually turn on. On restart however it doesnt have a problem starting up. What could cause this? I havent noticed any beep codes on startup. Any help? Thx!

I understand your notebook will not start up but will reboot fine.
it sounds like a memory (RAM) issue. I'd like you to try this for me:
Shut down the notebook.
Remove the battery.
Remove the power cord.
Hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back in.
Reinstall the battery.
Turn on the notebook.
Let me know if that will make the notebook boot every time instead of hitting power repeatedly. There is a small chance this will completely solve the problem but the odds are slim. Ultimately what I would like you to do is restart the notebook and while it is loading enter the BIOS to run a memory test: Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 7) or Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 8).
Let me know the results of the memory test or if a hard reset fixed the issue.

Mac G4 Tower Model: M8493 Problems
Hi all:
I got this tower from a friend, who told me it was a stable machine. I had my suspicions, and they were proved correct when I tried booting the machine.
I swapped out the 80gb Seagate H.D.D. with a W.D. 250gb. I was also having serious problems opening the drive, so I had to use a paper clip, with the system shut down, and insert it into the hole at the left, lower corner of the front end of the drive.
However, I took my copy of Leopard and placed it in the tray and this is what happened: I received a kernel panic, and at the bottom of the monitor a bunch of data lines began appearing: R1= 0x23730670; XCP = 0x0000000C, etc.
Prior to this, I tried to install the OS and it stuck at the Grey Mac Screen with the Apple symbol. The circular, load was revolving for a long time until it stopped; however, I left the machine on for over 10 hours, and it was locked at this state.
I'm not sure if the optical drive is malfunctioning or there is another issue(s). I'm running the tower off a Toshiba monitor with standard PC peripherals.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

SteveThanks for your post, Allan. Yeah, it's a retail OS X disc; not the grey disc that comes with Apple computers. I knew that wouldn't work.
It's the 2002 G4 model I believe. I checked the OS X installation on my G5 Quad PPC and it works fine. I also have a drive cleaning disc, as when I opened the computer, it was a complete mess: filled with dust and debris, but nothing that some compressed air couldn't take care of - well, visually at least.
The serial for this G4 is: XB216*M8H. I went to the macmedic site -- I think that was the site -- entered the serial, and it told me that it had a 1.07Ghz processor. Not entirely certain about the number, but I know it exceeded 1Ghz, which is odd, as I haven't seen G4 models with that speed processor in my own searches.
Yeah, I figured the battery was probably shot, too. So your advice on getting another would be optimal; however, I want to really hone in on the exact issue(s).
According to the jumper identifications on the W.D. 250gb drive, no jumper indicates master. I know that isn't the issue due to the fact that when I start the machine without the OS X disc in the drive bay, it goes to the blue screen with mac-finder face and the question mark, which indicates it's picking up the H.D.D.
The computer did boot to its desktop with the old H.D.D., but it would list some hardware issues and the gray, multilingual screen would come up -- English, French and German -- prompting me to restart.
I may have left a few of your questions out, as I'm kind of in the middle of swapping a drive from a laptop.
Please let me know if you have any further advice. Much appreciated, Allan.

M73 start problems and corrupted registry after windows updates

we are a Lenovo reseller, having had not a lot troubles so far with M72 models in the past.
Since M73 the problems have dramatically exploded. We had so far 5 machines, on which we had to run the Factory Recovery as the OS won't start or was corrupted. It appears that especially after a windows updates the chances of a not starting Windows is very high - Windows repair mostly fails.
Is this a known issue? Does others have the same troubles? Any chance to fix this?
We are currently reviewing all Lenovo installations and will decide whether we still want to sell them or not. Our business clients are not happy about such an instable installation.andreascis wrote:

We purchased many M72e's and recently appx 100 m73 standard builds and 100 recent custom M73 ax builds, we are regretting this right now. We are scrambling to try to keep these machines functioning properly. At first they seem good but they have tons of issues we are discovering, out fo our new 100, so far we have 10 dead machines, another bunch that have usb issues even after doing bios updates. Many pc's have issues with usb devices not working in one port but will in another. I believe lenovo has a serous problem on their hands with these machines they don't realize or want to admit.
Being the reseller puts you in a bad spot with a product like this. I believe this is a huge liability to anyone at this point in time, I will be going back to our reseller to deal with lenovo b/c I didn't get the help I was looking for with them directly. GOOD LUCK! -
Unable to Launch Integration Builder: Java Web Start problem
Hi,
I am unable to launch the integration builder. I am using JDK 1.4.2_05. The java Web Start gives the following error:
Unsigned application requesting unrestricted access to system
Unsigned resource: http://<XIHostName>:50000/rep/repository/aii_util_rb.jar
I have tried deleting the Java web start cache, and even reinstalling the JDK.
Can someone suggest a workaround this problem ?

ManishThe Java Web Start cannot accept unsigned jars. If the jars are signed, it will ask in a dialog box if it should allow unrestricted access to this jar.
In my case, I upgraded XI SP0 to SP4, which included updating the Adapter Core, Adapter Framework, and the XI TOOLS to SP4.
On launching the Web start, it seemed that the jars were not getting signed. JWS cannot allow unsigned jars to the client.
These jars are maintained in:
\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\directory_server\javaws\directory
I am having problems with my XI upgrade to SP4, and it is probably not signing the jars.
Do you know why this may be happening ...
