Hp dv7 / 030f error / motherboard problems / need help
Hi, I have a HP dv7 4296nr laptop.
Today I tried to connect a second hard drive (after long searches couldn't find the long adapter cord for 2'nd hdd bay so I connected it instead of my cd-rom, using a special case)
After I connect it and power up, the laptop I get the 030f error and the fan wasn't spinning.
And here a lot of strange things happened (I disasabled my laptop and spend a lot of time trying to make it work):
*the speaker is making a sort of white noise (and this depends on cpu fan rotation)
*if I am just on battery the laptop will not run without sound (bass) module connected
*if I connect a hdd or cd-rom - the cpu fan will not start + 030f error
**hard drive was tested on another computer... system loads normally
**trying to connect the hard to usb port... starts to load the system... but will get a sort of error at the end... troubleshooting doesnt work
so... I have no idea that is happening.. I think either the motherboard is messed up or the bios.I tryied to flash the bios using a USB, but it didnt work... I followed 2-3 different tutorials with no result
also tried to flash using a live alkid cd ( but again error - couldn't load the dll (wchich was present in the folder) ).
also tried to run a windows live from usb.. and get the blue screen )) .. not my day
If anyone has any ideas what is happening.. I will be very thankful.

HP Provides a 1yr standard warranty on its Notebooks which starts from date of purchase. Call HP and see if you can send it in for repair.
In case if HP tells you are out of warranty or something similar, you might need to have purchase reciept and to prove you are still within 1yr warranty.

Today i was listening to music and my zen micro just froze while playing and no buttons could be pressed and the lock button wasnt on. So i took the battery out and rebooted the player but it froze at the creative screen. I went home and i went to recovery mode and tried to reload the firmware but it said erasing firmware for more than 2 hours. So then i tried a format but it said formating for the same amount of time. I need help please. Also, recently i've had problems witht the headphone jack. When ever i would stick it in it would sound distorted and i would have to move it around until i got it to a certain spot to hear it good again. If anyone else has this problem please tell me. One more thing i had returned my other micro zen in for hard dri've probems and this was my new one do u think if i have to return in (hopefully not) that they would accept it.
If the functions in Rescue Mode aren't working properly then you need to contact Creative Support.

Installation Problem (Need Help)
I inserted my Adobe Premiere Pro C6 CD-Rom into my computer but it says this message:

So of course I clicked on error summary and that lead me to see:

Now we find all those producer consumer pairs which satisfy the criteria Pi>=Ci
We have the following sets
(5,2)(6,2)(7,2),(8,2),(9,2)
(5,3)(6,3)(7,3),(8,3),(9,3)
(5,4)(6,4)(7,4),(8,4),(9,4)
(5,5)(6,5)(7,5),(8,5),(9,5)
(6,6)(7,6)(8,6),(9,6)
Let us done each of them with Si
so we have S1,S2,S3,S4,S5
we assign a third parameter called weight to each element in Si which has satisfied the condition Pi>=Ci;
so we we will have
(5,2,ai),(6,2,bi),(7,2,ci)....etc for S1
similarly for S2 and so on.
We need to find in each set Si the the pair which has the smallest weight.
if we have (5,2,3) and (6,2,4) then 5,2,3 should be chosen.We should make sure that there is only one pair in every set which is finally chosen on the basis of weight.
Suppose we get a pair (5,2,3) in S1 and (5,2,3) in S2 we should see that (5,2,3) is not used to compare to compare with any other elements in the same set S2,
Finally we should arrive at the best element pair in each set.They should be non repeating in other sets.

S2=(P0,C2),(P1,C2) and (P4,C2) so we dont use P0,C2 and P1 and C2 because PO and P1 are already used in S1.

in S3 and S4 ae have (P0,C3),(P1,C3),(P4,C3) so we dont choose anything
and same in S4 also.
So answer is

distance from the first set, and the pair with the least
distance from the second. I don't see how the distance
function was used.
Also it's not clear to me that there is always a solution,
and, if there is, whether consistently choosing the
furthest or the closest pairs will always work.
The most obvious approach is to systematically try
all possibilities until the answer is reached, or there
are no possibilities left. This means backtracking whenever
a point is reached where you cannot continue. In this case
backtrack one step and try another possibility at this
step. After all possible choices of the previous step,
backtrack one more step and so on.
This seems rather involved, and it probably is.
Interestingly, if you know Prolog, it is ridiculously
easy because Prolog does all the backtracking for you.
In Java, you can implement the algorithm in much the same
way as Prolog implementations do it--keep a list of all the
choice points and work through them until success or there
are none left.
If you do know Prolog, you could generate lots of random
problems and see if there is always a solution. -

If you iPod is defective, in warranty and not abused Apple will replace it with a refurbished one. They may or may not replace it with the white one. You will have to ask.
Other users have asked the same question but I hav never heard them come back with whether or not they go the color changed. -

Hello everyone,
I'm sorry for the alarmist title, but I need help and I need it badly. Just last night, my macbook froze with nothing working. The mouse froze, the interrupt keys didn't work, nothing. I shut down the laptop, and tried to restart. I noticed a clicking sound coming from the lower left hand corner of the macbook. I'm assuming this is the hard drive.
What happens is that there will be two clicks happening in a rythmic fashion, and after 15 second of booting up, a folder will appear with a question mark on the screen. The only thing I can do is power it down. Can someone please describe what is happening and make suggestions?
The kicker is that I'm a college student studying in Denmark for the semester. The laptop is my only lifeline to back home. Please, any help is greatly appreciated.
MattYou may have a disk failure or simply corrupted files. If you have a bootable backup that is working, then you can boot from it, erase your hard drive, then restore your backup. If not then do this:
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger and Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger, and 4.1 for Leopard) and/or TechTool Pro (4.6.1 for Leopard) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
If the drive is OK then you can reinstall OS X:
How to Perform an Archive and Install
An Archive and Install will NOT erase your hard drive, but you must have sufficient free space for a second OS X installation which could be from 3-9 GBs depending upon the version of OS X and selected installation options. The free space requirement is over and above normal free space requirements which should be at least 6-10 GBs. Read all the linked references carefully before proceeding.
1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.

Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. 2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update. -
Another Infinite Login Loop Problem - need help badly
Hello. I need help.
When I start up my iMac (24 inch last generation model) I can't log into the OS. When I enter my password I see the default OS wallpaper (nothing else) then it kicks me to a blue screen then right back to the login. Same thing over and over. I've already ran disk utility off of the install CD to repair permissions, etc... but no luck. This even happens when I enter into safe mode. I'm running the latest version of the OS.
Can anyone help me?Restore the bootable backup/clone or Time Machine backup. Without one, you have a difficult situation. First thing to try is boot with your install disc, run Disk Utility, and repair the disk.

I was doing the latest update to my iphone4. when it got to exporting files it gave me error 3194, can anyone help?

This one comes close:
The device could not be restored. An internal error occurred, or Error 3200: This indicates a network-connectivity or traffic issue. If you see this error, wait an hour or more and try again.

Problems with iPhone 3G Activation , Error Message (-50), Need HELP!!!!!!!!

I bought the iphone 3G yesterday through Virgin Mobile. I was told to activate my iphone I need to sync it with iTunes.
I plugged in my iPhone and it try to sync for a while then an error message pops up. (*We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occured. (-50).There was an error in iTumes store. Please try again later*.)
I've tried several things, reinstalling iTunes, change the options in my internet browser (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5), turn off my anti-virus software. But the problem still occur.
I can access iTunes store and my playlists etc, but when I click on Sign-in and then click on create new account the same error message pops up again.
I've tried to run diagnostics on iTumes. It says that secure link to iTunes store failed. I've passed all connectivity and sync test. Below is the details,

BecNo need to SHOUT. The cable is the one used to connect your iPhone to your PC. Suggest getting another one.
The problem may be that you're using USB to connect to the internet. It's too slow and will cause problems when you have other high speed USB connections. Use an Ethernet connection to your modem/router. For additional troubleshooting, see these Apple support articles:

Application Error Message. Need help identifying problem.
From time to time i get the following error message and I'm forced to shut Illustrator down:
Illustrator.exe - Application Error
The instruction at 0x0034d17c referenced memory at 0x00000014. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program
Does anyone know what this means? This also occurs sometimes when I'm trying to select a font... for example Impact.. which isn't visible. Is the font corrupt? If so how do I go about obtaining a replacement? Whats going on here?
