HP DV7T 6000 USE AN intel 622ANHMW 6200 6200 agn wireless card sps:572509-001?

Hello,
My Wi-Fi card only works on 2.4 Ghz.
I want to upgrade it to a dual band 2.4Ghz/5 Ghz.
I have two HP DV7T's 6000 (With PART# LM726AV & PART#LM726AAR).  Will an intel 622ANHMW 6200 6200 agn wireless card sps:572509-001? work in them?
I have tried other cards on past HP Laptops and sometimes they are locked out and will not work and receive a BIOS error.
Thanks!

Huffer,

In the threads discussing upgrading the Intel Wireless-N 1030 to dual band, I haven't seen this card mentioned, but if I missed it and I'm repeating old news, I apologize.
I have a dv7T-6000 I received in February 2012 and I wasn't happy with the built-in wireless card, but the BIOS mods didn't seem very stable either (i.e. you can't save changes to BIOS settings after installing the modded version). I decided to take a look through the BIOS code on my own and was able to locate the FCC ID whitelist, which is where I found this card listed.
From what I can find, this card is actually sold by HP for some of its business laptops but for whatever reason it's listed in our whitelist. The cards are available from Hong Kong on eBay for 25 bucks by searching for "630813-001". I just received mine today (took about 2 weeks or so) and it installed perfectly, the bluetooth and Wifi is working fine. I don't have a Wireless-N router to test it with yet, but the important part is the BIOS accepted it and the drivers are working. HP Connection Manager also recognizes it, and the wifi button on the keyboard is operable as well. There are drivers for this card actually listed under the dv7-6c00 on the HP support site, although the link only says Ralink b/g/n, but then if you click through, it lists several more Ralink adapters including this one, the a/b/g/n.

  • Using Airport Extreme Base Station As A Wireless Card?

    Hi,
I don't know if this is even possible but here's what I'd like to do:
I've started to share an internet connection with a cousin of mine that lives in my apartment building. The connection is in her apartment and as far as I can tell the wireless signal is coming from the modem she has, there is no stand alone router/ base station. So far I've just been connecting using my iBook with the aiport card in it. No problems. I just had to get the ip number and password from her and I was hooked right up.
    Here's my real question:
I also have a G4 Mini with no wireless card in it at all and an Airport Extreme base station from before we started sharing a connection. In the time that we've been sharing I haven't connected to the internet at all using the Mini. Now I'm wondering if there is a way I can hook the Airport Extreme to the Mini and somehow use it as a replacement for a wireless card in the Mini. Thus using the Mini connected to the Airport to connect just the Mini to the internet.
I'm not worried about the iBook and do not wish to reconfigure the way I'm using/ connecting with it. Everything is peachy with that.
If this is possible, how can I do it?
Thank you in advance for any help with this.

She has an "integrated" modem/router/access point.

Set up the AEBSn as a "bridge" and connect the G4 Mini to one of the "wired" internet connections.

  • Alternative to Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN wireless network card?

I'm finding that my Intel 5100 AGN wireless network card is not performing as well as it used to.  I've tried everything... even drivers are fully up to date.  But I keep losing connection to my wireless router, even though connection strength is between 3-4 bars.  I find that I rarely get dropped if I have 5 bars.  But if it weakens to 3, I get periodically dropped no matter what wireless network I am using.
I want to replace this card with something better, but of course compatible with the HP dv5 (my specific model is dv5t-1000).  Any recommendations?

    Hi, Gary:
What I meant by my statement regarding you having the better of the available cards for your notebook is that, yes, I am sure the Intel 5300 is an improvement over the 5100, but the problem is you can't install the 5300 in your notebook.
The Intel 5300 is not supported (only the cards/part numbers listed in the service manual can be installed) and your notebook wouldn't boot until you removed the card.
You can try a different card listed in the manual if you want.
However, you are limited to the:
    Broadcom 4322 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN module
Broadcom BCM4312 802.11b/g WLAN module (not a wireless N card)
I suppose you can use an external USB adapter but I would get one with an external antenna connected to it, because I would have to believe the 3 antenna wire setup in your notebook has to provide superior reception over a plain USB wireless adapter with an internal antenna as its only antenna.
The antennas go all the way up to the top of your screen.
Did you fiddle around with your network card's advanced settings?  They can be found by clicking on the card in the device manager, clicking on the advanced tab.  make a note of where the settings are now so if something goes buggy, you can change them back.
Here is a guide to the advanced settings you have and the recommended settings for them.

  • Satellite L100 - Upgrade Intel 3945ABG to 4965 AGN WLAN card?

I would like to know if in a Satellite L100 is posiible to change the 4965AGN wifi card for one 3945ABG or there may be problems or incompatibilities with the motherboard chipset which is an i945 GM GM.
    Thanks in advance

    Hello enoac
You wrote you want to CHANGE WLAN card.
If you want to use internal WLAN card and get it work please let us see what can be done with it.
Your postings dont offer much info and I dont understand what the problem is exactly.
Is card installed and listed in device manager properly?
Can you enable or disable WLAN card using FN+F8 key combination?
Is WLAN LED on when you enable WLAN card?
Can you scan area and see available WLAN networks?
What happen if you try to connect to your WLAN network?
Have you tested WLAN with different routers?
Please dont discuss using one or two sentences. Explain exactly what happen and what have you tried to do already.

  • W500 Intel wifi Link 5300 AGN- No N?

I have a W500 with Win 7 x64. I have the Intel wifi link 5300 AGN wireless card and the Intel drivers, 14.3.2.1
In Device Manager, Advanced tab, it shows those settings for 802.11n properties. But at the bottom of the list, Wireless Mode, it only shows 802.11a/b/g. There is no N mode. Is this card capable of N speeds wirelessly? Thank you for your help.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

"N" isn't a specific mode you set on the wireless card, the options should be various mixtures of A, B, and G listed.
802.11B and 802.11G are both in the 2.4Ghz range, which everything and it's brother uses including microwaves, cordless phones, etc. So it's very noisy, but common. 802.11G is the higher-speed version of 802.11B; if anything on given wireless frequency 'channel' only supports 802.11B, everything on that channel is limited to 802.11B.
A is in the 5.0Ghz range, and 802.11A is the *ONLY* thing there; it's also a much lesser-used standard, you need specific wireless routers that support it, etc. If you can use it, do so.
802.11n is actually an 'upgrade' to the others, allowing multi-channel bonding, and very wide channels, both of which increase bandwidth a LOT.
But for example on both my T61p and W530 my "Wireless Mode" options are: a, b, g, b/g, a/g, a/b/g. I have a separate "802.11n Mode" option of enabled/disabled in the Advanced tab on my wireless card.

My X201 is win7 and with intel centrino 6200 agn wifi chipset. I can use wifi at work (which is 11n AP). However, my home is using an 11g dsl router, and the wifi connection stuck. It kept trying to connect to the router but failed. I pluged in a USB 11g wifi adapter and got connected within a second. Is there anyboy having the same problem? This really pissed me off....

Is it encrypted? You're gonna have to give a lot more details if you expect any help.

above card are having issue with WPA2 enabled ssid connecitivity. strange is , the same users are getting connected to other wep enabled SSID but its not working for WPA2 SSID.
I have external ACS server which is used for radius authentication. Last time I had put same query in support forum did some workaround.
eq. disabling DHCP proxy option in WLC and moving all DHCP scope in external server.
After doing this workaround this mentioned users are still facing issue. I gone through some cisco document and some forums and came across that there is something to be done in " Session Timed Out "  optionin WLC
which is default 1800 sec based on that I tried to capture debug outputs for mentioned above problematic clients and user who is working fine .
I gone through the same debug output  and observed :
User who is working fine :

  • T430 with Intel Ultimate-N 6300 wireless card cannot see 5Ghz network

I have two machines with the exact same Intel 6300 AGN wireless cards.  Both running Widowns 7 64-bit.  Both have same versions of Intel drivers installed.  The X230 sees and connects to my 5Ghz wireless network.  The T430 sees only the 2.4Ghz network.  The 5Ghz network is not even displayed in its list of available networks.
The T430 sees other 5Ghz networks in the neighborhood.  Using inSSIDer I can see that the wifi card is functioning on the 5Ghz frequency as it displays 3 other nearby networks.  But I have no way to test connection since those are not my networks and are secured (as is mine).
Windows also shows those neighboring 5Ghz networks in the list of available connections.  Only my own 5Ghz network is absent from both lists.
Both my 2.4 and 5Ghz bands are broadcasing their SSID's.  All MAC filtering is correct and both machines are allowed on the networks.  The WPA keys are correct.
I have even copied the network settings from the working X230 using the "Copy this network profile to a USB flash drive" option from the wireless network properties window and added the 5Ghz network to the T430 using the USB key.  So I know the settings are identical.
I ran Lenovo diagnostics Wireless Quick Test on both machines and got identical successfull results.
The only thing amusing about this issue is that the X230 wifi card was purchased from an eBay seller in China and that is the one that works.  The card in T430 came with the laptop direct from Lenovo and that one has trouble.  Both cards have Lenovo FRU numbers and clearly are whitelist approved since they both work.  Just that the T430 card only sees the 2.4Ghz network.
I have assigned static IP addresses to both machines on the network.
    I have rebooted the router.
I have run all Lenovo and Windows updates on both machines.
If anyone has further suggestions I woul really appreciate assistance.
    Thank you.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

dv7t-6000 my recovery partition gone and HP wants $50 to mail me a restore disk.
Does anyone have a download link for this; it's criminal HP does not offer it to customers free. I already paid for it once when I bought the laptop.
    thanks

I see from your screenshot that you have added a partition- and in the process the hard drive was converted from Basic to Dynamic. This always breaks Recovery function..
You will have to delete the extra partition AND convert the hdd back to Basic. Use "Option 1" here:

    <u>'''Safe Mode'''</u>
You may need to use '''[[Safe Mode]]''' (click on "Safe Mode" and read) to localize the problem. Firefox Safe Mode is a diagnostic mode that disables Extensions and some other features of Firefox. If you are using a theme, switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes <u>'''before'''</u> starting Safe Mode. When entering Safe Mode, do not check any items on the entry window, just click "Continue in Safe Mode". Test to see if the problem you are experiencing is corrected.
    See:
    '''[[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]'''
    '''[[Troubleshooting plugins]]'''
    '''[[Basic Troubleshooting]]'''
If the problem does not occur in Safe-mode then disable all of your Extensions and Plug-ins and then try to find which is causing it by enabling <u>'''one at a time'''</u> until the problem reappears. <u>'''You MUST close and restart Firefox after EACH change'''</u> via File > Restart Firefox (on Mac: Firefox > Quit). You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window.

  • How do I tell if my i7 MBP is using the Intel HD or Nvidia 330?

Can someone please tell me where can I identify if my MBP i7 is using the Intel and or the Nvidia?
I know that the system is supposedly delegating these actions from one to another, but I am trying to monitor my battery life as it appears to be running a tad short from what Apple is stating is feasible.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

OK, OSX can read that but not write, but...
    A few options...
You could format that HDD as Fat32/MS-DOS, but you'd be limited to 4 GB Filesizes.

  • What database program will convert my Appleworks DB for use on Intel platform?

What database program will convert my Appleworks DB for use on Intel platform?

Yes, you just need the appleworks folder from applications.
However, whether or not this is strictly legal is another question entirely, I'm afraid, unless you are planning to remove appleworks from your computer. You could just buy her her own copy of Appleworks, too.

  • Has anyone tried to use the Intel 750 PCIe AIC in a Z640 Workstation

I am really only interested in using this as a second disc , not the main OS Boot disk; as I have heard there could be a problem having the right NVMe Bios or UEFI .
I was advised by a reseller not to do this as HP tested recommended discs for heat generation and airflow. But that seemed strange, as one can have 2 Nvidia K2200s in the chassis and they each max at 68 watts, and each PCIe slot has a max limit of 75 watts. So surely using the Intel 750 which has a max power consumption of 24 watts should generate a lot less heat?
That assumes my mikey mouse knowledge of physics is watt equate to heat generation or are SSDs different?
I could understand it if the Intels were say 68 watts - i.e. It could then be down to cooling airflow. Or is the intelligent cooling system advised of known components and therefore reacts differently i.e. Maybe boosts the fan speed or something.
Hence would love to hear from anyone who has actually done it - how did it work out? Or someone who really understand these boxes at a deep technical level, who could rationalise why this is not a good thing ........ Other than the HP reseller doesnt sell the Intel 750s but does sell the overpriced, relatively speaking underperforming Z Turbo drives.

I have not done this but did look after Macs in a class room enviroment. I think your concerns are valid, you may be making a difficult situtation worse.
If no one come back with a definite answer, you could try a small number as a pilot, and keep them on machines next to each other. That may give you a better understanding of any likey problems.
What are the the problems with the wired headphones, cable breaks? If so woud headsets with detachable cables be an easier answer?

  • Is it safe to use a Intel ssd on Lion?

I have two SSD'S, Is it safe to use a Intel SSD as a usb time macine back up drive and another Intel SSD for Lion?...Thank's.

It probably will not be an issue but the 'brick' will get very warm if you are using heavyweight applications.  If so, best to put it on a non insulating surface (which a rug is not).
    Ciao.
