HP Envy 14 wont turn on...
Hi to everyone! Well as the subject says, i own a HP Envy 14 notebook (model XQ101AV) which after a year of normal usage ,all of a sudden stopped charging(plugged in not charging),and once the battery drained itself it wouldnt boot back on (no activity whatsoever) .
First of all i tried the usual stuff - trying replacing the battery,removing the HDD and memory modules,pressing power button for more then 15 seconds,trying different power adapter and such.
And so as i dont have warranty anymore i tried replacing the power connector cable (component nr. 608380-001 as it was most suspicious because the led wouldnt turn on -neither white nor orange)but the problem was not solved.And so i thought the worst happened and i ordered and replaced the system board (component nr. 608364-001 - for my Core i5 processor)reassembled the whole laptop but it still wouldnt turn back on.
And now before i order the third and final thing i could think of that causes the laptop not to turn on (Battery connector board ,component nr. 617265-001)i wanted to ask if anyone knows if the battery connector board powers the motherboard as it does the battery or ONLY the battery, or if you dont think that is the issue, to try and recommend any other things i could've missed. Im trying to avoid taking it for repairs as i live outside of US and i know it would be quite expensive.I am quite handy around PC repairs cause i am electronic and computers tehnician so i know i connected everything as it should be and checked everything for errors (best to my knowledge).

I did manage to fix my laptop. Of all the things i've tried it was the faulty battery charge board.I found a replacement one on ebay,tried to change it and it worked like a charm. I dont know if it's the same case with your latpop but if you are willing to try here's the part number : HP 617265-001 BATTERY CHARGE BOARD.
Or in case you have a different laptop model (mine was HP ENVY 14 1200-CTO, XQ101AV)refer to your service manual (find it online) and there should be a list of all parts and their numbers so use those one.

My Envy 23 Just Shut down unexpectedly an hour ago and it wont turn on. I checked the power supply and let it cool for a bit before trying to plug it in again. It still wont work. I was going to assume that the pc overheated but now im starting to get skeptical. I bought this pc about a year ago and this is my second replacement. Ipod cannot be recognized by pc and wont turn on! help
my ipod video is only a month and a half old and then just yesterday i was still using it around 12 noon then around 1 pm it wont turn on! i tried to reset it, made some simple troubleshooting but it wont respond waaaa when i connect it to my pc the pc cannot recognize the ipod that as if nothing is connected to the port! help please very freaked out ;(

My iphone 4 just shut down and wont turn on and i tried everything..
hi my iphone 4 was working properly last night abd out of no where it kept freezing and turning off and the apple came on and later on it completly turned off and i tried everything to turned it on and nothing, today in the morning i plugged it in to the charger and pressed home plus lock together abd the apple came on!! i was so happy andit turned on back to normal, i was getting ready for school and i was playing music and 20 minutes later it shuts off and now it wont turn on! my iphone is not jail broken or has been dropped in water.
Any other suggestions? I have the same problem. I tried holding the home and power buttons with no response, and I also plugged in my phone to the charger for over an hour and still nothing. That has been the extent of my troubleshooting

Voice over wont turn off on iphone 4s after ios 8. Update
Voice over somehow got turned on after the ios 8 update and when i go to double tap and turn it off it wont turn off it just turns right back on

Just share with you guys, i having the same issue on iPhone 5. Using the iTunes to turn off the VoiceOver had fixed the issue for me.

i bought a macbook from a guy and when i started it up... surprise it wont turn on if its not connected because the battery is not being detected.... then what i checked first was photobooth surprise the isight camera is not working... i searched in internet about smc but i do not understand it.... is there a way to recover it using the cd?
Try resetting the PMU - Resetting MacBook and MacBook Pro System Management Controller (SMC). If you have no success then you'll need to take it in for service or replace the AC adaptor if it's gone bad.

As far as trying to power up your device, make sure it has a good charge and then hold the button on the top of the phone and the home button on the faceplate together until the apple appears on the screen.

my iphone 4s wont turn on with out being pluged in and when i unplug it it dies instantly i pluged it in put it in dfu mode and tried to restore it hoping it might help but its stuck in dfu and has restore error 21 help!!!

Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace -

If your iPhone is unresponsive after updating your iOS version, then I'd like you to please follow the troubleshooting below.
If you see a black screen
You might need to charge your device before it can turn on. Plug in your device and let it charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad), then try turning it on.
You should see a battery icon while your device is charging. If you continue to see a black screen, reset your device. If your device doesn't respond when you press buttons
Your device might not return to the Home screen when you press the Home button, wake from sleep when you press the Sleep/Wake button, slide to unlock or power off, or it might appear frozen. Try these steps:
Restart your device.
If it still doesn't respond, or if it doesn't turn back on, reset your device.
If your device gets stuck during startup

If it's in recovery mode, the data is already gone. Why did you never back up your important data?

Your iPod is probably in DFU mode, try holding home and power for 10 seconds then try to turn on normally.

MY ipod touch 5 wont turn on. i tried holding the power and home button together to reboot but didnt work. i tried pressing only the home or power button but no response . it doesn't show up in itunes. i tried keeping i in charge but it doent even show the charging icon! it does not show the no battery icon either. i tried leaving it with no disturbance for a few hours but still no luck . it has no response . My 1 year warranty is already expired. is my ipod officially and completely DEAD????

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
