I need to get my data off this HDD Before it fails (I am aware that it could be years before this happens; but won't risk it).
I wish to start with a brand new install onto a new HDD and need to order a copy of Windows 7 Premium 64 bit, so I can install Just OS onto a new SSD and will keep my data and most programs on a second HDD.
I just need to know how and where I order

I need a copy of windows 8 for my GT70
My GT70 is stuck in a endless blackscreen loop when i boot up. it starts up "auto repair" then just goes to a black screen with a pointer. I have try ed to use a USB recovery via another windows 8 PC. When i boot off the USB it gives me a set of menus but none really do anything to help me... the recover keeps saying my hard drive is locked and i do not know how to unlock it. please help i will reformat this thing if i have too but i do not have a copy of windows 8 just laying around. i am deployed in Kuwait at the time so trying to RMA would be a major time lag.

It is never a bad idea to have a copy of a receipt tucked away just in-case you ever need to seek service. If I can find the receipts in-question, then I should be able to have a copy of each emailed to you. The information you provided is perfect because it helped me find both receipts! JazI do not agree as customer support is good, its good... but idiot thing is we buyed the laptop from Toshiba, which is money minded,...if toshiba knows that after customer system drive is corrupted /erased accidently then no chance of getting the paid version of OS restoring...
1. then why dont toshiba provided already a recovery CD before only..
or
2. they should have informed as pre-condition/pre-caution that if Hard Drive got erased then Toshiba cannot provide the product ID also which a customer is paying.
i think toshiba should should value the customers money also & should keep inform the customers unwanted loss with pruchasing toshiba... as I would have atleast prepared the Backup-restor CD if i was warned after purchasing....atleast..
As if i can purchase this laptop, then i can pruchase a CD also write & create a backup CD,,,, but as a customer will be unaware of these internal problemss... he will be facing this type of problems.... -

The HP envy 4502 will not scan or copy . It prints fine. I updated drivers. I've uninstalled and reinstalled . Downloaded the hp print and scan doctor which ran for 8 hours with no results. I've also done the printer reset. Nothing seems to be working.

I'm sorry to hear that your printer will not Scan or copy. When you attempt to do a regular photo copy on the printer, are you getting any error codes? Another thing to look for when doing a copy is once you have started the copy, lift the top lid and see if the scanner bar is going across the unit and if the light is on.

I am not sure if the table exists in db2,,,if it doesnot it needs to be created as well data also needs to be inserted...

Thanking in advanceHow many rows does the table contains? There are manyway you can achieve this.
1. export and import.
2. create a dblink between two databases and use create table as select, if structure doesnot exists in other database, if structure exists, use, insert into table select command.
example:
create a dblink in db2 database for db1 database.
create table table1 as select * from table1@db1 -- when there is no structure present
-- you need to add constraints manually, if any exists.
insert into table1 select * from table1@db1 -- when there is structure present.
If the table contains large volume of data, I would suggest you to use export and import.

I Use logic and back my audio file and projects on an external HD ,this has now packed up . I have all the files in the MBP , but need to copy them to a new external HD, I have only 10GB left on my machine , how do I copy 200GB from my machine to a new External HD.

angusYes, just drag and drop them into the drive..
How long will it take? Hard to say without knowing the type and speed of the drives in question.. and even then it's hard to estimate... but does time really matter?
The fact you only have 10 Gigs left will/may slow the process down but it wont/shouldn't stop it...
If needed.. just drag and drop some of the files at a time.. not all of them.
Remember that copying files doesn't delete them from the original drive... You will still need to delete them yourself after they are copied over and empty the trash....
However....
When you saved these projects in Logic (Pro X?) did you save them using the include audio files option?
If not, then when you move the audio files used in these projects... Logic will not know where they are to reload them........ and that will cause you issues.
So.. if you didn't...
I would use this method instead...

If you have added additional fonts they will need be changed to reflect what is on the destination machine.
If the other machine has a different Keynote version, ensure the same transitions and effects are available. -
My old computer died on me with no warning signs. I didn't know or need to copy my music to another computer. You'll have to either call AppleCare...they'll have a record, or go back to the Genius bar where your phone was replaced.
