WHERE I can buy it ?
HOW to add it into my laptop/install it ?
I am a complete novice when it comes to laptops!!
Thanks x

Hi,
Unfortunately 8Gb is the maximum ram ( ie 2 x 4Gb modules ) that can be installed in the machine - I've been using the exact same Model myself.
This can also be confirmed on the following link.

  • EMac seems slow - Do I need/can add more memory?

I have an eMac 1GHz PowerPC G4. It's already about 4 years old, so I have collected alot of music, pictures and files. It seems that now it takes a little longer to respond. I constantly get the rainbow swirl thing waiting for files to open. It definitely slows down if I'm running Photoshop or Illustrator AND iTunes at the same time. iTunes seems to be the reason it slows down in general (especially if its iTunes and another application)
I have 768 MB of RAM already (the 256, and a 512). Can I add another 512MB of RAM? Is it necessary and will it help? If I look up the memory usage, it always looks like I have very little available (currently I'm using 87% of my memory and while applications are open, I'm only using FireFox)
Also, I have 47.43GB on the HD available.. Should I invest in an external hard drive?
I'm not sure if this is a memory problem or if I need more HD space..
    Thanks
    Kirsten

Tiger will run quite nicely on a 700 MHz eMac with 640 MB RAM, which suggests a software conflict with an automaticly launching system or user utility. Non-Apple add-ons that put anything in the menubar (e.g., haxies) in particular as likely suspects. If you Start Up in Safe Mode, does the Mac's performance improve noticablly?
As roam noted, using Activity Monitor (as an admin user, show all processes, and sort top-down by %CPU usage) can help identify if some process is eating up clock cycles. For instance, if you have Classic running in the background with an extensive Extensions Manager set open, you may see TrueBlueEnviron in the Activity Monitor running at 80% of CPU usage (in which case, use Extensions Manager in Classic to turn on only the absolute minimum of extensions you need, rebuild the Classic desktop, and close Classic when not in use).
Check your third-party software add-ons (items that appear under the "Other" heading in System Preferences when using View by Categories). Check the publisher and/or Version Tracker or MacUpdate for Tiger-compatible updates. Try disabling startup items temporarily (move to a holding folder and restart) and see if that improves performance.
Try creating a troubleshooting-only admin user account with no add-ons and see if that runs faster; if so, that points to something inside your normal user account's Home folder. Use Preferential Treatment to check if your normal user preferences are damaged.
If the new account is also slow, look at the System and Library folders at the root level of the hard drive, checking e.g. /Library/StartupItems and /Library/PreferencePanes.

  • How do i add more memory to my imac

I need to add more memory to my imac and how do i go about it.

Append the last three characters of the iMac's serial number to http://www.everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup/?search_keywords= , load the page, and look up the required specifications and installation instructions.

  • How do I add more memory to my Imac, I only have 1GB of memory and need 2GB to download Yosemite!

How do I add more memory to my Imac, I only have 1GB of memory and need 2GB to download Yosemite?

    Janet,
This is why the question rkaufmann87 asked about your model is so important:
[click chart to enlarge if needed]
The list covers the early iMacs with Intel processors that shipped with either OS 10.4 or 10.5 and have only two RAM slots. As you can see, some have limits to what version of OSX you can install. If the step rkaufmann requests does not narrow down your model, you can do one more thing.
While the "About this Mac" window is open, click the "More Info..." button at the bottom of that window to get this (assuming you are really running OS 10.5.8 as shown in your profile):
The code I've indicated with the red arrow corresponds to the codes in the second column on the chart. Post the code your computer reports--again don't post a serial number.
If your iMac shipped with only 1GB RAM, I fear it is one of the earliest models that cannot be upgraded all the way to Yosemite.

  • Bought one year of minutes for $100, why do I need to add more in 6 months?

I recently purchased a Verizon pre-paid, along with $100 of minutes that were to last for a year.  When I check my balance it says I need to add more by October, approx. 6 months from initial purchase.   I won't need more by then as the phone is hardly used.  Anyone know the deal on this?

I truly appreciate you taking the time to reach out! I want to thank you for using Verizon Wireless prepay services. To ensure that you're concern is properly address, please reach out to our prepay specialist.
To reach our Prepay Team, please dial 888-294-6804 from a number other than your prepaid phone. When prompted, enter your prepaid phone number. Then press 4 (for questions or to change something), then 5 (for Store Locations or Billing Questions), then 4 (for Customer Service Rep) and then enter your pass code for your account.  If you do not know the pass code enter in four zeros. Then the system will transfer you to a Prepaid representative. You may also dial *611 from your Verizon Wireless prepaid device to reach a representative.

    Hello
I need to add more pages to my photo book but its only letting me do 78 pages, can you help me please?

You posted in the Photoshop forum by mistake - and people there aren't going to be able to help you with Elements issues.
I've moved your post to the Elements forum where you are more likely to get help with Elements questions.

  • How do I add more Memory to the 2 open slots in my iMac - it is 4GB now

How do I add more Memory to the 2 open slots in my iMac ???  It is 4GB now and I get the spinning beach ball often when several Apps are running.
Does the Apple Store sell and install???
Please advise if you have upgraded your iMac memory

Go to a website such as OWC or Crucial's, determine which type of RAM your computer needs, and buy it from that site. They provide installation instructions on the site.

  • We have a 32GB IPad 4.  how do we add more memory?

We have an Ipad 4 with 32gb.  When downloading it tells us our memory is full.  How can we add more memory?

I think some needed clarification is in order.
With iDevices, the storage amount ( 16, 32, 64, 128 GBs) is a fixed amount.
The only way to obtain more storage on an iDevice is to sell your current iDevice and purchase a larger storage version.
If you want to store your iPad data (like music, movies and photos) offline and off your iDevice, you can move the data onto wireless WiFi hard drives from Seagate, Western Digital and LaCie. The data can be access by the iDevice over WiFi as these wireless hard drives generate their own WiFi signal and the data from these style drives can stream the data from the drive to the iPad.

  • How can I add more memory to my iPad?

How can I add more memory to my iPad?

Memory refers to RAM, and can't be increased.
I asume you mean storege space (like 16GB, 32GB, etc). It also can't be increased.
There are some wireless external hard drives that can be used with the iPad.
The Kingston Wi-Drive, which costs $50 for the 16 Gigabyte, and then $30 more for every 16 gigs more. It works by you turning it on and then accessing the files on it from an app that you download on your iDevice. You can access music, movies, and other stuff. No connections or anything, it works like a WiFi connection, you connect to it from the setting on the iPad under wireless networks.
Then there is the Seagate GoFlex, which some would recommend over the Wi-Drive. But this one costs $199 and had 500 Gigabytes of storage. It works the sameway as the Kingston: no wires, runs over its wireless connection. You can actually fit up to 300 HD movies on it.
    Another option:
Expand your iPad's storage capacity with HyperDrive

  • How can I add more memory to my iPod touch

How can I add more memory to my iPod touch?

You are not able to add memory to a iPod Touch.
The only way to get more memory is to buy one with a larger capacity.

  • Can i add more memory to my macbook pro?

It currently has 4 GB installed. Can I add more memory?

Which model MBP do you have? 15" late 2011, for example.
Go to the Crucial website and use the System Scanner tab to determine which upgrades are available for your model - you don't have to buy from Crucial, but they do offer some of the best RAM for Macs available.
    Good luck,

  • Will I need to put more memory on my MacBook Pro for Mavericks?

I got my MacBook Pro in Februrary 2013 (so I think it's a mid 2012 model? Not sure). The memory for it is 4gb and 1600mhz. It came with OS 10.8, but I am now upgrading to Mavericks. My question... will I need to get more memory to fit Mavericks onto my computer? Or will what I have suffice? I don't have much stuff on my computer; I backed everything up before beginning the process (should be done in a few hours, and I can always pause it if necessary). The backup flashdrive holds 8gb and I'd say, in total, I have about 4.5gb worth of stuff (word documents, pictures, and videos) on my computer. How will that affect what Mavericks takes up (Mavericks says it needs 5.32gb of space)?

    venom --
With all due respect, I find it hard to believe you ever worked at Apple.
You can't spell. And you believe that Mavericks only needs 1 GB to install.  Totally incorrect.
I can easily upgrade my computer with more memory, too, after all is said and done.
    Do that, you'll love it.
    Babowa & KOT:  Right on.

  • Should I add more memory when I update my iMac from 10.4.11 to Snow Leopard?

Should I add more memory when I updaate my iMac from 10.4.11 to Snow Leopard?

Actually, you have a Late 2006 model iMac that can use a Maximum of 3 GB of RAM.  See the link below.  So you can use a 1 GB and a 2GB modules.

I have ordered OSx 10.6.  I have 1 GB of memory.  Will I need to buy more memory?

If you like to work with photos, graphics, or videos at all, then 2 GB would be much better; I actually had 3 GB installed when I was running Snow Leopard (that was the maximum for my iMac). The minimum requirements published are exactly that: a minimum. For instance, for Mountain Lion, it says 2 GB; unless you do nothing but email and web browsing, 4 GB is a much more realistic minimum.
So, if your computer model can handle 2 GB, go for it.
