HP Envy 5530 enlarges photo inserted in a Word Document

Whenever I insert a photo or picture into a Word Document it looks great on screen and on Print Preview, but when I print the page the picture has been enlarged so most of it is cut off. It doesnt matter the placement of the picture.

Inserting PDF in Word Document

In previous versions of MS Word and Adobe (Specifically Word 2010 and Adobe 8 & 9), I could insert a PDF file in a Word document.
This no longer works using Word 2010 and Adobe X. Is there some other way to do this? Now I can only insert the PDF as a object which means it is not full page, its a miniature version of the real file.
For example I am creating a document that that explains how to complete specific forms. So after each set of directions ( or in an appendix) I need to inclide full page copies of the forms. These are templates basically, that the person can print out, make additional copies, fill them out when needed.
How do I get a full page PDF form into a Word 2010 document using Adobe X ? In other words I want the PDF to insert as a page, not apicture on a page. And I know I was able to do this before we upgraded Adobe and Word versions.

Then it's a bit of a puzzle. As far as I know this never worked. Since it worked for you maybe you used to have some extra software I haven't heard of.

can use the OLE Container item type. no, it's not on the Web.
I want to insert Word documents that are in my directories into database, and I've read that it can be done via BLOB table columns.
I'd like to insert these documents and retrieve them later. Could you please tell me something about it?

Inserting File into Word Document

Using Powershell, I'm trying to embed a zip file into a Word Document so that the embedded file is displayed as an icon.
So far, I have only been able to insert the verbiage of a text file using the following code...

Insert table into word document

Good day,
I am creating a Word document using a workflow and saving it to a library. I am then updating metadata which pulls through into the word document through Document property mapped fields.
I however need to insert a table with data from a SharePoint list.
I am using a Visual Studio workflow so I need any direction or samples on how to do this.

Hello can you tell me how to insert a photo from icloud or photo stream into a word document?

Open the photo in your photo stream album, tap the arrow button on the upper right, tap Mail, send the email to yourself. Open the email on your computer, then copy and paste the photo into your word document.

Envy 5530 can't find scanned photos on my windows 7 PC

I have just got my printer and want to scan some very old photos into my PC. The printer screen says 'scan to computer or others'. I chose computer and scanning started but I can't find my photo anywhere. I was not asked where to put the photo or any other info about my computer. I also tried the 'other' option but a message asking me to ensure the software had been installed. I ran the disc that came with the computer to start with. I can print from my PC and ipad. Help please.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
It is very strange that your HP Envy 5530 is scanning but your photos cannot be found anywhere on your computer. Because you have run the Full Feature Software and Driver install for your product is does appear that everything is installed as it should be.
When you're scanning from the Front Panel of the product it will scan automatically to the default 'save to' location. With the HP Scan software the default 'save to location' for JPEGS is your pictures folder. With PDF files the default location is your Documents folder.
Also, when you select 'Scan' from the front panel of the printer and choose Computer it should display your computer name to select as the computer you want to scan to. To find out your computer name you can:
Click on your Start menu
Right click on Computer
Left click on Properties
Near the bottom it will display 'Computer name' - this is the name you should be selecting on the front panel of your product.
I'm going to provide you with a document for step-by-step instructions for scanning from the Front Panel on the printer:
Scan From the Control Panel for HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One
Once the scan has completed successfully it should automatically launch the 'save to' file location on your computer. Please be advised that this may take a few moments to open.
Should this still not work than please try to scan from the HP Scan Software on your computer so we can ensure functionality:
Scan from Windows 7 With the Full Feature HP Software for HP Multifunction Printers
If the Front Panel scan or the HP Scan don't work for you than you need to run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to 'fix scanning'. This tool will automatically detect and attempt to fix different scanning issues that can arise with the printer or with the computer.

Brand new HP Envy 5530 only prints half of 4X6 photo

Looks like I'm not the only one having this problem and so far, the only viable solution I've seen in this forum with regards to this paritcular HP printer issue is to take it back to the store and exchange it for a different brand.
I bought an HP Envy 5530 less than a month ago and decided to print some colour photo onto photo paper with a 4X6 size, nothing special or fancy. I've tried printing from Windows Picture viewer (or whatever it's called) and Picasa, tried numerous printer settings, used HP doctor and it said everything was fine, and after 5 attempts and lots of colour ink, I still get printouts whereby only half the picutre is printed, all this on a printer that's 1 month old. Does HP have a solution for this?

I have the same photo issue going on as well. I can print photos from an SD card fine, but now, out of nowhere, all my pictures I attempt to print via laptop, tablet, or phone don't print basically. Well half of the pic prints (if you could call it that) in whatever color it chooses... Sometimes it prints in all black, other times, all pink!! But then the other half of the photo paper just has large ink streaks. I've wasted probably 12 sheets of photo paper and large amounts of ink!! Please, if anyone has come across a solution, I would be ever so grateful!!!! HP.....Please help...I'm growing increasingly frustrated and disappointed with the quality of the printer!!

Also, if you're using Windows, please include whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit. With this information we can provide you with accurate information.

Black ink faded/Gray when printing with HP Envy 5530

When printing with my new HP Envy 5530 the black ink looks gray or faded. I tested the color and this prints dark and clear. I have power cycled, plugged into different power outlets and re-inserted the cartridge. Any thoughts...or could it just be a "bum" cartridge?

Howdy. After tinkering around with my Envy having the same issue, I found out that after replacing my black cartridge because it was low, I was having the same issue.
Turns out the color cartridge will simulate a black in an to preserve both the tri color cartridge and the black cartridge for as long as possible, which is why even if you've never printed any color, both your cartridges should be low. Once the color cartridge starts getting low, the printer doesn't have a sensor to realize which of the tri color is mixing in the most, so it continues to mix it in either way.
I was having this issue where I would print one page and it would be okay and then any page following would slowly look worse.
Long story short, just print without the color cartridge in and you shouldn't have the issue unless your black is really low. Replacing that should fix it overall though.

Envy 5530 won't print or scan

Out of the blue I am unable to print via usb or wirelessly. I have tried the "Doctor" which keeps saying I do not have the "full" software and/or driver package. I have uninstalled/reinstalled what seems like 67 times. I have tried numerous fixes from the forum, all with no results. (Clean boot - DL software/drivers for Envy 5531, etc) My printer has wireless set up, but no computer found. I'm just going around & around with no solution in sight. If I'm seem frustrated, I am after spending 3-4 hours to get a document scanned (or even printed) that is necessary for medical reasons. Since I can't use it as a door stop or paperweight, ready to toss into dumpster. Printing should't be this hard!Thank you for letting me vent. Any help would be much, much appreciated. If the printer is having troubles performing a photo copy then you are likely looking at a hardware or power issue and not a software issue. To ensure the printer is still receiving full power it is recommend to plug the power into the wall directly and not a power surge protector. It may sounds silly but is a good way to ensure power is not a factor and may eliminate any unnecessary troubleshooting.
If you find your still getting the copy and scan issue when the printer is into a direct power source I suggest checking the firmware version on the printer. I was able to locate a firmware update for the ENVY 5530 on the HP web site. You will want to check the firmware version on the printer first.
To check the current firmware version on printer, you can print a status report.
To print a status report:
Press the Setup (wrench) icon at the top of the printer touch screen
Press Tools
Press Print Status Report
Once you locate the firmware version on the printer Status Report check to see if it matches Version ORL1CN1418AR. If not, then I recommend following this link to HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer series Firmware Update. Download and run the Firmware update. Its recommended (if you have one) to have the printer plugged in USB when running a firmware update.

Cannot change preferences on hp envy 5530

I have an HP ENVY 5530 all in one printer. I reselected my print preference from General to Photo. Now the preferences all show a padlock and I am unable to change the current Photo setting. please help.

This might happen if you are not logged in as the administrator. Does this still happen when you are logged in as the administrator?

Also, to provide the best print quality, when you select certain print setting combinations, other preferences which cannot be applied are grayed out.

HP ENVY 5530 no computer found

I bought my HP ENVY 5530 about a year ago and have not had any problems with it until now. I keep trying to print stuff (word documents, photos, emails...) and nothing happens. No messages come up on the printer. When I click on the printer icon on the computer it the status says 'Printing' but soon changes to 'Error'.I tried to scan something to the computer and the printer says 'No Computer found'. How do I fix this??

Alright here's what we'll do.On your PC click on Start.In the box that says Search Programs and Files type in Services and press enter.In this window click on Component Services (Local) on the left.On the right side click scroll down to Print Spooler.Right click on Print Spooler and click on Stop.Open Computer and go to C:/Windows/System32/spool/printersDelete everything in this folder.Go back to where you right clicked on Print Spooler, right click on it, and click on Start.Try printing.If you are still unable to print or scan then the next step would be to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your printer. HP Envy 5530 - Color Management

HP Envy 5530 Printer How do I disable Color Management? In order to use the Color Management options in Adobe PS Elements I need to be able to disable Color Management in the printer preferences dialog. When I go to "Advanced Document Settings" under "Color Management" there are only two options:Color Smart/sRGB or Adobe RGB. I've tried every "trick" I can think of to get acceptable results from this printer and this appears to be my last hope. Can you help? Thanks

Thanks for responding. According to HP: "For HP printers, changing these settings (Color Management Settings in the OS) will not affect output. This is because the printer only supports ICC color management in Windows through the application (not the operating system) in order to reduce the possibility of over-processing images." The option I'm looking for is: "Managed by application essentially turns off printer driver-based color management. Selecting this option tells the printer that incoming color is already color-managed, and the driver is not to do any color conversions to the image data." - Quote from HP Consumer Support Apparently, this is not possible on the HP Envy 5530 - neither is getting "lab quality photos" as you advertise. If the quality of the prints were acceptable, particularly in black and white, I wouldn't need to be looking for a 'fix'. Finding out which HP printers have the "managed by application" feature has proven to be difficult. Thanks for addressing my problem. Best Regards
