HP Envy 5535 Printing with Verizon MIFi

I am trying to use HP Envy wireless printer with Verizon 4G LTE MiFi 551 and was told by HP support that it would not work because the MiFi changes the IP address frequently and the printer is always looking for the same IP address.
The only way my printer will work is if I unplug and replug.  Then it will eprint for 15 minutes but then stop.
Is HP correct that this printer will not work with MiFi?  If not, how do I fix?  I have been on phone with HP off/on for 2 days and tried many different things.
Thanks.

That is correct as far as I know.  The printers are made for a WiFi connection to a router.

  • Can't get my hp laserjet p1505n to print with verizon mifi

I changed internet provider from broadband to Verizon MIFI and now my printer doesn't work. II have a HP Laserjet P1505n and it was networked to my desk pc and my laptop. What can I do to get it working again??
    Thank you

Maybe you can find your drivers there —or at least some information.
As of your printer, turn it on and connect it to your mac, then click in software update —chances are that you can download the drivers.

  • Using HP 6500 Wireless with Verizon MIFI 2200

Is it possibe to use my HP 6500 all in one with built in wireless with a Verizon MIFI 2200 at the same time...all on one wireless connection from my laptop?       Thank You
    This question was solved.

Well i  took a chance that this might  work...what i did was set up MIFI then once wireless put printer software cd in laptop and went to network connections tab on main menu...after a few steps it allowed me to enter the wep key and magically it was printing wirelessly and on the internet at the same time. At least it is right now.

  • I bought the HP Envy 100 printer with my new Macbook Pro 13" and it does not seem to work with Lion.  Any suggestions?

I bought my daughter a new MacbookPro 13" for grad school and selected the HP Envy 100 printer from the Apple Store website.  When I just tried to install the printer, it said that that the software was not compatable with Lion.  Any suggestions as to how to get it to work?

Sorry, but the response just takes you to the HP site which is of  all possible assistance short of actual help!!
HP (and Apple?) need to fess up and tell all the people who have HP printers when they will "just work" with their machines and OS X Lion.... because for many of us, they just don't! It isn't rocket science guys.... blithely telling us that downloading S/W updates from Apple doesn't help.... because they don't solve the problems!

  • Can send but not receive comcast emails with Verizon MIFI jetpack

I am unable to receive comcast email using outlook 2007 using my new Verizon MIFI4620L Jetpack. When I disconnect from the Jetpack, I am able to receive emails using my neighbor's wireless router. I am able to send email using the MIFI Jetpack. When I test email settings, I am able to connect to comcast and send a test email. I am able to receive the test email from Microsoft. I am able to access email using the internet at comcast.net and I am able to use web browsers using the Mifi device. My other laptop is able to receive and send emails using the MIFI device. I currently have uninstalled Norton Internet Security and disabled windows firewall on the problematic computer in an attempt to resolve this.
    Any ideas?

There seems to be alot of Comcast email issues with the MiFi 4620L.  Most of them have been resolved with the propper configuration.  We have already found a few limitations to certain websites with this device, but none have been confirmed to be related to email services so far.

See if a quick configuration check will resolve your issues from the links I have provided.  If not then the next best step may be reinstalling Outlook on your computer.  Keep us posted either way.

  • New HP ENVY 5535 PRINTER

I CAN'T LOAD THE SOFTWARE BECAUSE MY SON-IN-LAW PUT A LINUX OS SYSTEM ON MY DELL COMPUTE ALONG WITH A NEW SOLID STATE HD. I CAN'T LOAD THE SOFTWARE. IT PRINTS AND COPY'S WITHOUT THE SOFTWARE, BUT I CAN'T GET IT TO SCAN TO THE COMPUTER WITHOUT THE SOFTWARE IN IT. I CAN SCAN TO E-MAIL FROM THE LITTLE SCREEN ON THE PRINTER.

    HOBBLEONE
I am sorry the situation is proving stubborn.
Linux is not difficult -- Linux is just enough different from Windows that its use can prove challenging.
You might ask your son-in-law if it would be possible for him to install the computer as a dual-boot setup, if such is possible.  If the system supports "dual-boot" it would provide the Linux for your son-in-law and the Windows for you so you can have an environment with which you might be more comfortable.
Dual-boot means that there would be both Linux and Windows on the same computer -- the system would be set so the computer would automatically select one Operating System or the other as the "default" when it boots up.  For example, if you use the computer most of the time, you might ask that Windows be the default OS when you use (start) the computer.  When you son-in-law wants to use the computer, he can start the computer and select Linux.  That way everyone gets what he / she wants and needs.
Whether or not this is possible depends on the computer, of course, and whether your son-in-law has the necessary skill set to make it happen.
There are many helpful guides on the Internet to help with setting up Dual-Boot systems.  Do be sure you have all your personal data backed up before this is attempted -- you want to make sure you put an extra copy of your photos and personal data on a flash drive so you have it in case something happens that is unexpected.
You might also just give him the Dell and buy yourself a nice little HP notebook for yourself.  I am sure you deserve new notebook.  Smiling.
    Good Luck!

  • Black ink faded/Gray when printing with HP Envy 5530

When printing with my new HP Envy 5530 the black ink looks gray or faded.  I tested the color and this prints dark and clear.  I have power cycled, plugged into different power outlets and re-inserted the cartridge.  Any thoughts...or could it just be a "bum" cartridge?
Thanks in Advance for your help...

Howdy. After tinkering around with my Envy having the same issue, I found out that after replacing my black cartridge because it was low, I was having the same issue.
Turns out the color cartridge will simulate a black in an to preserve both the tri color cartridge and the black cartridge for as long as possible, which is why even if you've never printed any color, both your cartridges should be low. Once the color cartridge starts getting low, the printer doesn't have a sensor to realize which of the tri color is mixing in the most, so it continues to mix it in either way.
I was having this issue where I would print one page and it would be okay and then any page following would slowly look worse.
Long story short, just print without the color cartridge in and you shouldn't have the issue unless your black is really low. Replacing that should fix it overall though.

  • Just hooked up mifi with Verizon and cannot go online with my firefox

firefox is my home page and i just hooked up with a mifi with verizon

If you purchased the TV through them then rightfully so
This has to do with a defective device purchased through VZW. If it was purchased directly from HTC then yes of course file a complaint against HTC.
Mobile customers are in the mindset that if they purchase their device through the carrier it's the carrier's responsibility to handle defective devices.  VZW could have easily said to the OP that not our problem contact HTC and washed their hands of it.  Instead they decided to send another defective device to the OP.

  • My HP Envy 4500 is not printing with USB cord

Hi! I recently bought an HP Envy 4500 printer for University and I can only use it with a USB (as University Wifi is private and won't allow printers). Up until now, it has been printing fine with the USB. I tried it today, and it refused to recognize there was a printer. I unplugged, replugged, shut of the printer, shut off the laptop, everything, but it refused to connect. it says "printer is not connected" when I tried to print class notes. I don't have any software on my computer, I'm pretty technologically challenged so I didn't know if I needed any. Why is this happening? How can I fix it? A printer that doesn't print does me no good, especially since I can't utilize ePrint or wireless. Thank you!

Hi @rlvenkat , and welcome to the HP Forums.
I see you're having issues printing via USB cable.  I would love to help!
I would suggest unplugging the USB cable, and deleting the printer from your print system, using this document: Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once you have deleted it, I would suggest verifying and repairing the disk permissions: About Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions feature.
I would also suggest running your Apple updates:  OS X: Updating OS X and Mac App Store apps
After the updates, I would recommend reinstalling the HP ENVY 4500 series Full Feature Software and Drivers, and reconnect the cable when prompted.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Can an Envy 7640 printer be used with a Google Chrome Operating system?

Can an Envy 7640 printer be used with a Google Chrome Operating system?

You are not going to find Chrome on the drop down list, there is no driver to install on chrome, as it doesn't support the concept of a device driver. The only way to print is using cloudprint.
Cloudprint on a hp printer, means you get an email address for that printer by signing up for hp eprint.
To sign up for hp eprint, simply touch the eprint icon on the printer's screen (that looks like a mobile device signaling a printer). This HP page has detailed steps: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c04327805#N57

  • I have a verizon mifi 2200 modem and wonder if an ipad with retina display will connect to it

I have a verizon mifi 2200 modem and wonder if an ipad with retina display will connect with it to use the internet

It should work. Have you tried and it doesn't work?
    FYI
    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • How do I connect my hp 1505n printer to my Verizon mifi

I have windows vista  and I need help on how to connect my Verizon mifi to my hp 1505n printer.

    Hi  Dixieo,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I see that you would like to learn how to setup your Deskjet 2540 printer so you can print from your iPad.
The first thing that needs to be done is to setup your printer onto your wireless network.  I have included the Installing the Printer Software for a Wireless Network Connection document for you.  Please click on the operating system of your computer and follow the steps provided.
Now that the printer is on the wireless network, you should be able to use Apple’s AirPrint feature to print. I have included HP’s document How to Use Apple's AirPrint Over a Wireless Network, as well as Apple’s AirPrint Basics document.  Both documents will assist you in learning how to print using Apple’s AirPrint.
I have also included HP’s All-in-One Printer Support App FAQ document.  If you download and install this app by HP it will allow you to scan from the printer directly to your iPad.

  • Verizon mifi compatible with WRT54G3GV2-SR-T?

I have a Verizon mifi and want to be able to use the mifi connection with a hard wire, as well as extend the range for wireless beyond the  30 foot limitation of the mifi.
I am about to purchase a WRT54G3GV2-ST, so my question is:  will this work?
My understanding is the mifi only has a usb connection, can I plug this usb connection into the WRT54G3GV2-ST to accomplish my goal?
