Some users have sent their laptops for repair with the HP warranty and after receiving it back problems with the trackpad arise again. Whether it is a hardware or software issue theres no reason why we, the users who paid over $600 dollars for a product, shouls be struggling with something as basic as a touchpad...HP, we need answers...

Hi. I recently bough an HP Envy m6-n012dx laptop. Not long after using it the Control Zone Trackpad began to be incredibly glitchy. Everytime i would move the mouse, it would jump randomly across the screen. The left side of the track pad that is supposed to allow you to switch between your open apps sometimes stops working then starts to work again then would stop working for no reason. Same with the right side that shows the start button, search button, settings button etc. To make things worse; sometimes the mouse would begin to move slowly across the screen without me even touching the track pad. I try downloading the most recent synaptics driver and afterwards the trackpad worked for a little while, then went haywire again. Not only is the trackpad messed up but sometimes my touch screen doesnt work. For instance, my touch screen currently isnt working as im typing this. What do i have to do to solve the problem, because i really like this laptop when everything is working fine

Attention, HP Support Agents. I have the same model HP Envy m6-n012dx laptop that I purchased less than 2 weeks ago from Best Buy and I'm experiencing the same issues. I've performed a hard reset of the laptop, a system restore to the day I purchased it, updated synaptics drivers, uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, BIOS update, changed sensitivity settings on touchpad - but it all leads to the same result. The cursor jumps around and behaves erratically on the screen, even if you reboot it and start using it again, after about 15-20 minutes (or sooner) it starts acting up again. What is the solution or verdict on this issue, as it's easy to see that there are literally hundreds of consumers that have purchased HP Envy laptops with a Control Zone touchpad from Synaptics having this exact same issue? Is there a way that someone at HP can grab one of their laptops, recreate the issue, troubleshoot and provide a solution for it?? I'm sure I echo the same sentiment as most of these other forum subscribers when I say that I feel like I'm wasting my time here. I'm asking for help and either getting an auto-response "update your drivers" answer, or not receiving help at all. I'm NOT purchasing a mouse as an alternative solution. Either there's a fix for this, or I'll return my laptop to Best Buy, as I'm still within their 15-day return policy window, and purchase an ASUS or DELL Laptop instead. I've never experienced such a huge annoyance with an HP product as this and from what I've seen on all of my forum searches, HP has no solution for it. I've also spoken with HP Total Care, and guess what their solution was? Take it back to Best Buy and get a replacement HP Envy .... seriously? Please provide an update as soon as possible. This has gone on long enough.

Erratic HP Control Zone Behaviour

I Recently purchased the laptop about 3 Weeks ago, and I began to notice the Synaptic HP Control Zone mouse would behave erraticly after some time. A reset of the device driver seems to fix it but the problem returns again when some time passes.
Everything seems to be upto date and the Control zone works with multitouch and normal use but this unsual and erratic behaviour that occurs quite often has become quite irritating. I've resorted to disabling the Control Zone and I am currently using an external wireless mice I purchased with the laptop.

I recently bought an HP Envy as well and I have multitutde of problems with the Control Zone. The only solution is whenever it happens I have to use the touchscreen to get to "HP Control Zone Settings" and do a "Reset Devices".
Has anyone found a permanent fix for this?

HP Control Zone and Windows 10

I have the exact same issue with the trackpad. Laptop: HP Envy TS15 - q006tx Now that my laptop is oerating on Windows 10, is there anyway to reassign the old swipe functionalities of the control zone? Back in Windows 8.1, swiping the left side of the trackpad used to swap between apps and swiping on the right used to bring up charms. These features are now obsolete, so really I hope that I can replace them with something else, or at least in a future driver patch if not today.

Two issues I am having with the Windows 10 upgrade: First, I use a wireless mouse, since my computer is primarily for graduate school and typing papers. I have the setting via the Control Zone to turn OFF the touchpad when an external pointing device is in use. This setting will NOT stay. I have to re-open the control panel, navigate to the device options, and turn this on EVERY time I start my computer. Is there a patch to fix this? Or is there a registry item I can change to force this setting to remain on? I never want the touchpad operational if I am using a USB mouse (or any USB or external pointing device). I cannot find this answer on any search. Second is the NumLock. I had changed the registry item to force NumLock to be "On" on boot. I cannot get the computer to boot with NumLock on with Windows 10. This is incredibly important for my startup process. Thank you in advance for any advice/solutions!

You are posting in the "icloud on my mac" forum, but your profile mentions Windows. If using a mac, you need to have iphoto or aperture installed in order to receive new photos via photo stream. If using windows, try posting in the iCloud on a PC forum. You'll get better help there.

are you talking about voiceover where the phone is reading things out loud to you? you have to double tap things in voiceover in order to select them. you'll need to go to settings > general > accessibility > and turn off voiceover there

HP envy 15 Control Zone Trackpad failure

I purchased an HP envy 15 q178ca. After using it for a few hours the track pad started giving problems. However, after resetting the trackpad everything works fine. The problem keeps coming every 40 minutes or so. Such kind of behaviour is not expected from a reputed brand like HP especially when there have been so many complaints in this forum regarding the same.
I request you to provide some update or patch to fix this problem.

It looks like you are facing difficulties to disable the Touchpad on your Notebook
We will surely assist you with this
Steps to drain the Static charge and loading default BIOS settings to resolve the issue
Step 01. Turn OFF the Notebook
Step 02. Un-plug the Power/AC Adapter and also remove the Battery too
Step 03. Press and Hold the Power Button of the Notebook for a full minute
Step 04. Now let's re-insert the battery back in and plug back the Power/AC Adapter
Step 05. Start the Notebook and keep tapping F10 Key during the startup to access the BIOS
Step 06. Once you get to the BIOS, Please press F5 or F9 Key to load setup defaults for the BIOS
Step 07. Now let's press Esc/Escape Key. Save Changes and Exit - Yes
Step 08. Now please wait till the Unit loads the Windows Operating system
Now please download and re-install the touchpad drivers for your Notebook from the HP Support Site

Hp Envy 120 printer - Help! Hp Utility - Setup - can not find printer over wireless

I am in desperate need of help - I am running OS X 10.9.1 and have downloaded Mavericks update to support the printer. However, during the Utility Setup, the printer can not be located by the tool. I have also tried to manually type in the IP address and that does not work either.
Prior to 10.9.1 upgrade, everything worked fine.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you have recently upgraded to the Mavericks 10.9 Operating system and you are unable to connect your HP Envy 120 to your computer, the Mac does not see your printer.
I would like you to start here: 'Unable to Find Printer' Error Message Displays on the Computer during a Wireless Network Installati..., once on the page please select the Mac 10.8 section and follow the steps listed.

Bootcamp - Catalyst Control Center - help me!

Hello, I've tried to install catalyst control center for windows 7 bootcamp, I can't seem to find the download for the actual program, I only find the drivers for it, I did find the program once, and installed it, but then I only had 2 different tabs in there, and there should be atleast 7+ with alot of options. I had close to none, in my install of the program, so I uninstalled the whole thing and now I can't seem to find it again.
I've installed the latest driver for the program now, but I cannot find the program...
And ofcourse I want to find out why I only had 2 tabs in there, when I should have had 7+
Please help me

Bounded-Task-Flow Page Fragment Control Flow Help

I am having an issue trying to figure out the correct way to use control flow cases between a bounded-task-flow with page fragments and an unbounded-task-flow page. We have taken the approach in our application to have a few shell / container pages to host bounded-task-flows made up of page fragments to facilitate re-usability and to speed up development. There are 4 or 5 shell pages on the applications unbounded-task-flow. As of now, we have about 20 page fragments that are implemented as bounded-task-flows. These fragments don't do much now, meaning there is only a single fragment in each bounded-task-flow. The issue I am having is trying to invoke a control flow navigation action from one of the fragments to load a different shell page.
For Example, shellPage1.jspx contains fragment-flow-1 as a region. In my adfc-config.xml I have shellPage1.jspx and shellPage2.jspx, with control flow cases "toShell1" and "toShell2" respectively connecting the two pages. I have a link's action bound to the "toShell2" within the fragment that makes up fragment-flow-1. When the application is run, shellPage1.jspx and its fragment are displayed. But clicking on the link in the fragment ("toShell2") does absolutely nothing. It does not navigate me to the shellPage2.jspx as expected. What am I doing wrong here or do not understand?
If the fragment is included as a JSP include, and not a bounded task flow include, everything works as expected. This is not desirable as we then need to copy the fragment's pageDef into the shellPage's pageDef to get the DataControls to function.
If the faces-config.xml is used instead, and a JSF navigation case is used, it will also work as expected. This is not desirable because we really don't want to be mixing adcf-config and faces-config.
So I am really stumped here.... Thanks in advance!

In your case, the adfc-config.xml has the control flow case between shell pages. And the task-flow-N.xml or your-task-flow.xml for each page fragment by default doesn't inherit control flow case from their containing shell page. In your case, in the page fragment task-flow.xml, you should add a "Parent Action" to flow to shell page2 for example. The outcome of "Parent Action" would be "toShell2" if calling from ShellPage1 page fragment.

There is a field (column) called customer line number assuming we are uploading from excel sheet , if that value is null then it should use an sequence to upload in the format of 1,2,3.

SQL Loader Control file help!!!

I was in the process of writing a control file for sql loader for an activity i am performing and would appreciate inputs from you all.
I have a table patient containing 44 columns, i have a column 'SEC_LANG_NAME' in which i have to insert data from a excel file.
The excel file contains 3 columns, PATIENT_ID, NAME,SEC_LANG_NAME, i just want to load the values present in 'SEC_LANG_NAME' column in excel file into the 'SEC_LANG_NAME' coulmn in the patient table using sqlloader and the condition is that PATIENT_ID in excel file should be equal to PATIENT_ID in the patient table.
as a first step i am converting this excel into a csv file, and then will shoot the sqlldr once i am done with control file, can someone please help me with the format of control file for this activity.

It appears that your intent is to load data into an existing table that contains the key data and is only lacking a column of information. SQL*Loader itself is not built to do this; what it can do is load records to tables. You will have to use a two-step approach similar to what Srini has suggested. 1) If your process is able to be run local to the database server, an external table is a great option. If your process is instead run remote to the database server, SQL*Loader will allow you to load your data file to a table. 2) You will need to run a process to update the PATIENT table.
Here is a start of a control file based on the details that you've providedLOAD DATA
REPLACE
INTO patient_enhance
FIELDS TERMINATED BY ","
( patient_id
, name FILLER

Guys, I want to know how to check and change time in SAP system. The reason I want to know if when I go to su01 and display my user, under Default tab>> Sys. Time Zone is different. So, I am guessing that I have to change time zone which is causing my CCMS-Alert auto-reaction.

Cool!! Just wanted to confirm and clear things up.
1. My OS time is PST and upto date. I have checked by typing date in unix.
2. As you have mentioned (Txn STZAC). I think STZAC is a T-code in which I can change time zone but what is Txn? Also, when changing time zone, do I have to make client modifiable in se06?
3. As you have also wrote that I can add (TIME_ZOME) in parameter of Auto-reaction Z_method. Just to confirm, is that how I will add.
Parameter Name: Time_Zone
Parameter Value: PST
on the Parameter value, do I need to add any syntax or characters such as $PST, (pst) etc...

WebApps (Liquid) Secure Zone Help

Hoping someone can help me with this... I am developing a Secured Team Portal for a client of mine. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to delve deep into Liquid yet, so, sort of looking for some help here : ). Here is what I want to achieve:
A customer is assigned to a particular secure zone (via my client, securing the customer to a secure zone that relates to them). This customer would only see the web app relates to them only. More than one customer may have access to the same web app item.
Assuming we assign these web app items to a Secure Zone, is there anyway to achieve this easily with Liquid? If so, any tips and tricks?

Hi Aaron,
Ownership in the system of a web app item is limited to 1 person, you can not add to that, change that in any form.
You could have a custom field for a list of peoples names and run a liquid check to see if that name was the same as the person logged in (setting this with javascript on the web app item submission) BUT this is open to issues....
1. If someone made an admin entry and forgot to add or did not put the correct names down.
2. Liquid has a scope limit of only 500 items. You can run if statements, your own collection etc but it effectively only works within that 500 item scope. This is a major issue for me and I am trying to get even feedback from BC on this but they avoiding it at the moment
