The case to my Hp envy sleekbook 6 has broken, it was originally red, are there any other color options besides red?

I have HP pavilion g7-2160so. its bottom case is broken from left side. The screw holders which hold screws of hindges are broken. therfore sometimes its hindge touches fan and it seems so fragile to break anytime. The only solution is to replace whole lower body. But idont know where to purchase it. i have visited ebay and other websites but could not find it plz help

Broken bottom case and missing screw

Hi one the screws from my bottom case wws lost and because of that the hinge is now oushing my case to open. I have tried to get another screw from another part of the laptopn but it appears that the small but that helps the screw stay connected to the case is broken. Long story short, i would need a new bottom case and a screw replacement. Does anyone know where i can get these parts from?

Broken hinges on HP Envy Sleekbook

Hi - I hope someone can help. I bought a HP Envy Sleekbook for my home business less than a year ago from PC World in Bath, UK.
I have the same issue of broken hinges and damaged screen surround as a number of people on here. The problem has simply arisen from opening and closing the screen - the laptop has never left my house, nor been dropped or mistreated in any way.
Could somebody please point me in the right direction to get it fixed. I have the original receipt dated 31/01/13 and box.

Looking for Hp envy sleekbook 6 top and bottom casing in pakistan

I am looking for Hp envy Sleekbook 6 top and bottom casing.. Plz tell me where can i find it in pakistan.

I bought a new ENVY and spent more time troubleshooting 'NO INTERNET CONNECTION' 90% of the time. After spending HOURS on the phone with HP SUPPORT and resetting router and adapter over and over, the issue came back! Everyone elses laptops in the house connected just fine. I finally got so ticked I did a recovery...BIG MISTAKE since it deleted many apps however, I'm not getting the NO internet connection anymore. Now I have to do a backup of files and a reset. The HP tech wanted to sell me another warranty that "included cracked screen" coverage. He said the 2 yr warranty didn't cover it and the longer I waited the more it would cost. After reading your post I am confused...does the 2 yr warranty cover it or not? Sorry to hear about your issues as it must be extremely frustrating...I'd be upset!

Broken bottom case clip

I recently replaced the hard drive in my MBP, but when I removed the bottom case the two plastic clips holding the bottom case in the middle of the laptop broke. As a result the bottom case touches the surface and gets scratched. I called Apple en contacted a "official service point" (we don't have apple stores in the Netherlands) asking if they knew this problem. They told me those parts never break and that repair would cost me at least 90 euros. I simply refuse to pay that much money just to replace two 10 cent plastic parts to prevent some scratches to the bottom case.
Does anyone have a suggestion, spare parts or any other solution? Attached is a picture I found in this thread, I added a circle around the effected part.

The part is attached with two screws, and appears that it would be easy to replace. As other posters noted, it's a strange failure, and I'm wondering if Apple will cover the repair. I'm sure they'll be interested in the type of "stand" you are using. If it is small, you should probably take it with you to the store. If it's a large contraption, you probably should take a picture of it both with and withuot the computer attached.

Pavillion g6 bottom case

My bottom case has been broken where the screen hinge fits in. Please note that this problem has been reported several times. I am an electric engineer and I want to replace it my own. I can find such cases for the g6 2000 and 2100 series and want to know if it fits on my g6 2221ev model.

That guide shows the compatible parts and components and how to remove and replace them. If the parts you describe are in this document then it is compatible. Since you describe parts for notebooks that fall under this document, they should be compatible as well, but refer to this document to be sure.

HP ENVY Sleekbook 4-1047tx Overheating

Good day everyone!
I have HP ENVY Sleekbook 4-1047tx (Click for specs) and got its mother board replaced like 7 months ago, after that, as time goes on, I noticed my laptop gets hotter even on just browsing the net and gaming performance decreased. I was thingking maybe they did not placed enough or used substandard thermal paste on the cpu.
As of the moment it never turned off due to over heating but the surface is so hot like a cup of coffee. If you have any idea on how to fix this I will be greatful of any help from you guys... Thanks in advance...

I had the bottom case of my MacbookPro replaced and now I can't print help?

Hi I had the bottom case to my Macbook Pro 2.33 Ghz intel core 2 duo replaced. Prior to this the machine worked perfectly. Now it can't connect to the internet using DHCP and it won't print either over the internet or with the printer plugged in directly. I can connect over airport to the internet if I manually put in the IPv4 address, the Subnet mask and the Router address. These are the only things I have found (so far) that are affected. I dowloaded and reinstalled the printer driver and it still doesn't work. Any ideas as to what they have done to my machine ?

When the ethernet cable is plugged in it does show as plugged in. The interesting thing is that the self assigned IP and Subnet mask address is the same as the self assigned IP and Subnet mask address is for Airport and they don't work. I have to manually enter them and the router address in order to go on the internet. There are 4 other computers using this network and no other computer on the network is having this issue nor did this laptop prior to the bottom case replacement, so I don't think it is the router modem or airport extreme base station.
It shows:
IPv4 address: 169.254.197.177
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
These numbers are quite off from what they should be. Also this doesn't show a router address and it should.

Click on the Apple and then on about this Mac. In the new window, click on the "version 10.9.2" until you see the serial number displayed.

My laptop keyboard is having problems. I took it if to change my bottom case it worked fine prior and then after just the power key worked. I cleaned everything nothing is bent in the cable. now my power key is not working

How much will a replacement bottom case be from Apple because I have ordered a relacment one and only about 5% of it on one corner is coming off, and I dont think that was from the heat, so how much will Apple charge me?
P.S Do you think apple will charge me?

Why only MacBook Pro retainer bottom case shows white particles?

Any user have that issue for any Macs .
But I sure that at home three MacBook Pro & Air , retainer display , only retainer shows white particles!

The left hinge has an odd gap and the bottom case has clicking noise.

I just noticed that my 19-day-old macbook pro has an uneven hinge gap.
And the bottom case has squeaky noise when I lifting the macbook pro with one hand;
as well as when I pressing lightly where the spots near the batteries that under the trackpad.
Should I go to retail store to get repair or do something?

Please make a Genius Appointment and take it in for service.
