HP ePrint 5.0 - Important update to HP ePrint 5.0.2

If you have updated the iOS HP ePrint Home&Biz application to the new HP ePrint 5.0 app, you may have noticed that the app file storage and scan features have been moved to the HP Printer Control app.  If you wish to continue using these features, please install the HP Printer Control app available in the app store.
If you have saved files in the HP Home & Biz app that you wish to retrieve, these instructions will help you retrieve them using iTunes, even if you have already upgraded to the new HP ePrint 5.0 app.
Backup your device
As an extra precaution, you may want to create a new backup of your device in iTunes before syncing or completing the steps below.
Before you begin
If you are still running the HP ePrint Home & Biz app, continue with the next section.
If you have installed HP ePrint 5.0, go to the app store and update to HP ePrint 5.0.2 before continuing
If you deleted HP ePrint 5.0 after installing it, you need to restore the HP ePrint Home & Biz app and data from a previous backup before continuing to recover your files.
Use iTunes to locate the HP ePrint app folders on your device
Connect your Apple device to iTunes using the Apple supplied cable.
Select your Apple device in the DEVICES section in iTunes.  Your device information displays.
Click the Apps tab above your device information.  The Sync Apps pane appears.
Scroll down to the File Sharing section and click HP ePrint or HP Home & Biz in the Apps list, (depending on which app you have installed).  The HP ePrint folders on your Apple device appear to the right of the app.
Save your files to your computer
Open each folder and click on the file(s) you want to save.
Click the Save to button.
Navigate to the desired folder location on your computer.
Click Select Folder, if you are using a Windows computer, or click Open, if you are using a Mac.   The desired file(s) are copied to the selected folder.
Optional
If you are using HP ePrint Home&Biz and have just saved your files to your computer, you can now upgrade to HP ePrint 5.0.2 in the app store. Install the HP Printer Control app to use scanning and in-app file storage features.
Use the following instructions to import these saved files into the HP Printer Control app.
Add files to HP Printer Control
Install the HP Printer Control app.
Connect your Apple device to iTunes using the Apple supplied cable.
Select your Apple device in the DEVICES section in iTunes.  Your device information will display.
Click the Apps tab above your device information.  The Sync Apps pane appears.
Scroll down to the File Sharing section and click HP Printer Control. The HP Printer Control folders on your Apple device will appear to the right of the app.
Click the Add button.
Select the desired file(s) from your computer.
Click Open.
I am an HP employee.

I'm not sure what you mean by putting a domain on your printer. When you set up ePrint, the ePrint email address will always be @hpeprint.com, if that is what you are referring to.

  • Exchange 2007 SP3 RU13 showing RU8-v2 as an Important Update

    Hi, I'm curious about this update that's showing up.  The server is a physical Windows 2008 x64 with SP2, with Exchange 2007 (all roles) installed (it's a standalone Exchange server).  As of a couple months ago it was on Exchange 2007 SP1, and
    I manually installed the SP3 and then the RU13 for SP3 updates.  That all went smoothly.  Since doing that, though, RU8-v2 for SP3 shows up as an Important Update in Windows Update.
    I've confirmed that it shows as version 08.03.0348.002 when checking the version of exsetup, and just doing help > about in EMC.
    Any thoughts or places I might be able to look to answer why it wants to install this?  Also curious if it would be safe to approve this update?  Thanks for any help.

    I wouldn't worry if UR13 is installed and shows in Add/Remove program, exsetup.exe and help-about...

  • Win svr 2008 r2 ent - user can not log into remote desktop after installing march's 2015 important updates

    we installed march's 2015 important updates onto all of our servers.  three of our servers are not allowing RDP.
    these servers have windows server 2008 r2 enterprise sp1  installed.
    we enter in the username and password in the rdp dialog box and click on ok.  the rdp dialog box comes back for us to enter in the username and password.
    we do have kb3046049 and kb3002657 installed.
    is there a v2 of kb 3002657 for windows server 2008 r2 enterprise?
    on one of the servers
    1. I disabled rdp
    2. stop and start the following services
    remote desktop configuration
    remote desktop services
    remote desktop services usermode port redirector
    remote procedure call
    3. enabled rdp
    4. added the users allowed to rdp into  server
    This allowed us to RDP into that box with the username and password.
    But the other two servers the steps performed above did not work.
    Any solutions for Win Svr 2008 R2  enter sp1?

  • Content Wizard not importing updates int VCM database

    When I use the Content Wizard tool to import updates from the internet, It appears to work correctly, but the compliance updates do not show up in VCM. I run the Content wizard again and the updates are no longer listed to retrieve. How can I get these updates to successfully show up in VCM?

    When you imported the toolkit the first time, you should have seen a log of what was imported and it should have listed several items.  If you only see one line, then I suspect the install did not proceed correctly.  To re-import the toolkit, open regedit on the collector and browse to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Configuresoft\ContentUpdateService.  Locate the string value key for the toolkit you need to re-import and delete it.  Launch the Content Wizard (make sure you're running it with an account that has SA rights into the VCM DB) and you should now see the toolkit for importing.  As a sanity check, restart your VCM web session.

  • EA4500 just installed - getting "Important Update" notice. Cloud??

    I just now installed a new EA4500 Router. It installed itself automatically without a problem, by running the setup CD. No devices other than my hard wired computer and modem are connected yet.
    When I went into Start > Cisco Connect to look around and check it's version, etc., I immediately got a "There's an important update for your router" notice.  My concern is not wanting to install The Cloud at this time (although I wouldn't rule it out later). There has not been a trace of it so far.
    I currently have  Firmware Version:  2.0.36.126507  and  Software Version:  1.4.12100.0.
    Does anyone know what this Important Update may be? Is it the "dreaded" Cloud?  I'd rather avoid the whole rolling back to pre-Cloud issue for now, if possible.
    This is my first router and I just want to keep things as simple and basic as possible at least temporarily.
    Thank you.

    2 reasons why I prefer the cloud.
    1.  I tried configuring the USB with 2.0.37 and just drew an absolute blank on how to do it.  I've configured NAS drives before and it was a piece of cake.  It appears they have changed some things in the USB "shares and permissions" section for the cloud firmware.  It makes sense now.  It took me 5 minutes to configure my USB drive with the cloud firmware.
    2.  I have a dynamic public ip address.  And I don't have a dyndns or tzo (ddns) account.  If I'm out of town and need to access my hard drive that is attached to the router, all I have to do is use the free app on my iphone to find out what my public ip address is.   And I just use an FTP app on the iphone to access the drive from anywhere.
    Other than that, there's not much difference that I've personally noticed.

  • How to import updated version of APEX app without losing saved IR's?

    Oracle XE 11.2
    Apex 4.1
    Linux Red Hat 5.4
    ============
    Does anyone have suggestions on how to import updated version of APEX app without losing saved IR's?
    Also, I want to maintain app id from update to update (from revision to revision). In fact, I think that that is required in order to keep the saved IR's.
    The only process I have found that seems to "work" (i.e. loads new revision of app over old revision of app) is the following (via SQL*Plus):
    declare
    l_workspace_id number;
    begin
    select workspace_id into l_workspace_id
    from apex_workspaces
    where workspace = 'MYWORKSPACE';
    apex_application_install.set_application_id(400);
    apex_application_install.set_workspace_id(l_workspace_id);
    apex_application_install.generate_offset;
    apex_application_install.set_schema('MYSCHEMA' );
    apex_application_install.set_application_alias( 'MYSCHEMA_ALIAS' );
    end;
    @new_version_of_app.sql;
    but I do not have any saved reports in this app. Will this process keep the saved IR's from the previous version of the app 'intact'?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    I cope with the same issue.
    But I've several prod instances and many applications on each of these... and SIR saved by many users.
    Of course each prod application have its own ID, distinct from the dev application ID.
    Is there really not any kind of solution in my case (apart from release the dev app on the dev workspace ; export 50 apps from it and import those 50 times, maybe more in the futur) ?
    I'd be a pity if not, I think there must be a lot of us working in that configuration.
    Thanks !

  • Important Update to InDesign CC

    Adobe has just posted an important update to InDesign CC. This should fix some of the performance problems that have been reported on the user forum. It will update InDesign CC to version 9.1.
    If it doesn't show up right away, quit out of Creative Cloud Desktop (choose Quit Creative Cloud from the flyout menu on the right) and relaunch it to force it to check for updates. You'll first be asked to update the Creative Cloud Desktop application to a new version, then the update will be available.
    It also installs the new Sync Settings feature already available in Illustrator CC and Photoshop CC. Note that this does NOT yet sync preference files. It syncs the settings listed in Preferences > Sync Settings, including workspaces, customized menus, glyphs, PDF presets and keyboard shortcuts.
    Here are the release notes for the update to version 9.1:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/release-note/indesign-cc-9-1-0-release-notes.html

    It has been impossible to update ID to 9.1.
    I reloaded many times CCloud app to see the upgrade but is not present.
    I installed again InCopy, just to see, and after this, it appeared in CC app the update. Now InCopy is updated to 9.1
    (also Acrobat and Bridge but CC app insists in the contrary... And no upgraded is possible. That path sends me to install both again...)
    But inDesign is still invisible.
    Should I install again Indesign?
    Perhaps it may happens the same?
    I forgot if queries, keyboard, etc will be lost...

    I understand that the initial issue is resolved: You have been able to update the software.
    The notice may or may not clear on its own; it depends on the origin of the Notice.
    The program managing the Update may have to be reset, run again to check to Updates, cleared in some manner.

  • "Important" update failing to install

    On a relatively new W520, Windows Update keeps failing when trying to install an "Important" update for "Intel -Other hardware - Intel(R) Management Engine Interface."  The error code is 0x80070103, which supposedly indicates that the best driver is already installed, though I couldn't find it in Device Manager.  Can this error be safely ignored?  I don't need remote hardware management for this laptop.  Thanks.

    I think (I am not sure, though) that if you have the MEI disabled in BIOS, you will get this message.
    I also got the same message after I had re-installed the OS, and I simply chose "hide this update" from within the Microsoft Update window.  I have not been bothered about it since then.

  • What is the best way to export and import updates between WSUS servers for specific KB's with environments that have different data sets?

    We are under strict regulations and monitoring at my company. Because of this, we have to define what updates are being installed during a patch cycle by KB Article. Two production networks and one test network. The installed updates have to be the exact
    same in the test environment, run for a few days with no problems, and then we install them in our production networks. The issue is, not all of the software in the environments is identical.
    I need to figure out a way to take failed/needed updates from production that are unapproved, export that list so I can approve all of those updates in the test env.. Then once I approve those and any other needed updates in test, I need to be able to export
    all approved updates from the test env (which includes the needed ones from production) and import those approvals in production.
    How can this be done?
    Thanks!

    the easiest way will be to use a single wsus infrastructre for all your environments.
    Tis blog article explains how to duplicate the approvals over groups:
