Hi satcommboy,
You can try HP PartsSurfer at:

You can also find compatible window mounts on Amazon--just search for  HP F210 replacement window mount.

  • Dumb Q: problem with Find And Replace window in Flash 8

    Dear Flash Group,
apologies if this is trivial, it's my first day using Flash.
I downloaded a Flash project from
    http://www.flashorb.com/articles/benchmark_files/flash-benchmark.zip.
    This
flash calls into a web service at localhost:8080. I used the
    'Find and
Replace' window within Flash Professional 8 to locate the
    string
'localhost:8080' and replaced it with plain 'localhost'.
However, when I 'Debug the Movie' (Ctrl-Shift-Enter), it
    still tries to
access port 8080! Obsiously, my replace command did not do
    what I thought it
would do. I opened the FLA file in a binary editor, and saw 4
    more
references to 8080, One if them in 'Properties' of a
    WebServicesConnector,
but I cannot figure out how to find the other occurences.
Checking on google, I see lots of people having similar
    problems, but no
    solutions
    Any ideas?
    Regards, /george
PS. What do you guys do for code completion - is there a tool
    that would
bring Flash on par with an professional IDE?

    george,

    Agreed.

Might they be the result of that WebServicesConnector
    reference?
    > Checking on google, I see lots of people having
    > similar problems, but no solutions
That's really odd, actually. I'm on these boards every day,
    and I've
never heard of this issue. I don't *think* the Find/Replace
    dialog visits
panel contents, such as the Component Inspector panel, but I
    wouldn't swear
    to that.
    > What do you guys do for code completion - is there
    > a tool that would bring Flash on par with an
    professional IDE?
Well, Flash is a professional IDE, of course. By definition,
    if you pay
for something, you have acquired a professional product or
    service. I know
what you mean, though. Flash itself rocks, but the Actions
    panel can be
glaringly weak. Personally, I use SE|PY to edit ActionScript.

  • Is there a legal way to buy and install Mac OS X and replace windows xp?

I have a windows xp laptop and would like to replace the operating system with the mountain lion os x so I can develop games for the app store.
Would I be able to order a disc from amazon and install it, replacing windows? I would much rather buy just the os for now, and get an iMac later. So far all the ways I've found on google are illegal and I want to do this legally.

    Glad I could help.

  • Ubuntu 14.04 install on Lenovo IdeaCentre Q190 replacing Windows 8.1

I just purchased a Lenovo IdeaCentre Q190 and would like to replace Windows 8.1 with Ubuntu 14.04. As this is a secure boot machine, is there anything I need to watch out for besides disabling secure boot? I seem to remember that there is a boot partition that I need to leave alone (?) Is there a Lenovo tool installed that can save a copy of the drive as an image? I have already saved a copy of the system to a USB stick. There seem to be some issues in connection with installing Ubuntu 14.04 (booting, wifi, bluetooth) is there an overview of the install issues for the Q190 somewhere?
    Any advice appreciated.

If you are looking to entirely replace Windows on your drive, you can overwrite the entire drive, boot partition and all...
    BUT...
Since you seem to want to preserve your Windows installation, you can make your life a lot easier in the long-run by simply getting another hard disk drive and swapping it out for the one which you currently have installed. (If I understand correctly, the Q190 only supports one HDD at a time)
Then you can install Ubuntu on the empty drive and not have to worry about writing a massive .iso,
testing a massive .iso and at some point in the future trying to re-install a massive .iso.
Here's a link to the user manual:
    http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/desktop_pub/lenovo_ic_q190_ug_v1.0_win8_en_r_online_20130320.pdf
On page 31 it explains the BIOS options. Doing a UEFI Linux install is still quite unintuitive, though there are a few threads and video tutorials out there. If you're planning on using Linux, right now I would suggest good old legacy style.
An overview of Ubuntu install issues is a pretty tall order for any machine. External wifi and bluetooth dongles are generally a problem, though the problems are often remedied after finishing all of the recommended updates.
I could add more advice, but it will help if I know more about what you want from your machine.

  • Possible to dock "Find and Replace" Window?

Is it possible to group the "Find and Replace" window in one
of the panels? I would prefer to have it at the bottom of my
    workspace with Properties and Results.
    Thanks!

It is indeed possible, providing whatever text is inside a tag of some sort.  It could be in a list, heading, paragraph, div, etc...  Use the Search: Specific Tag option.  See screenshot (excuse the sloppy image).

  • Anyone Using Navigon GPS found a Good Window Mount?

I think I've decided on Navigon rather than TomTom, but I have not as yet found a window mount, other than TomTom's, that has a built in GPS booster, can charge the iPhone, and route voice prompts through your stereo speakers.
Anyone using Navigon...Have you found a good window mount with the features as noted above? Apple Canada does not stock the TomTom mount. :o(
    Thank you for your help.

You can get the TomTom car kit from the TomTom store when it's available: http://www.tomtom.com/products/product.php?ID=1019&Lid=4&Category=2

  • Find/replace window in Mac OS - how to attach to main document window?

At work I use Windows and the find/replace window is part of the main document window. At home, I use Mac OS and the find/replace window is a separate floating window which is annoying because it means I'm constantly dragging it out of my way...is there a way to attach it to the the main document window on Mac ?

It works!  Thank you.  The strange thing is, I already had a check mark on it, but I unchecked it and then rechecked it and it worked.
BTW, I've not visited this forum for quite a while.  It was difficult to find my way to the InDesign Discussions.  There's so much stuff in between logging on to Adobe Forums and getting to this location.  I consider the changes a huge step backward.  I realize that you're probably not involved in it, but I hope someone who is sees this feedback about the forum layout.  Fortunately, it's only a one-time problem.  I've made a new bookmark for this forum.

  • Replacement Windows Manager for OS X?

Hi, i love my Mac for only two reasons -- digital video editing with iMovie and it's unix core -- i've probably used FreeBSD longer than any other server OS.
    I also love keyboard shortcuts.
I've had extreme problems with tendonitis, and carpal tunnel/ulnar tunnel syndrome.
Menus without lots of keyboard shortcuts are very frustrating since it forces me to use the mouse. The more I use the mouse, the worse my condition gets.
#1 - With that background in mind, I need a Windows Manager (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windowmanager#X_windowmanagers ) that would give me more keyboard shortcuts than OS X currently does.
I love all the keyboard shortcuts available in practically every program built for Microsoft Windows as well as the default apps in it such as Windows Explorer, etc.
I really, really need keyboard shortcuts like that or like they have in the Window Managers of KDE or GNOME.
If I could get that here on my Mac then I think I would cease to be frustrated with it.
#2 - One other thing, I would love a Windows Manager with a "taskbar" or "dock" or "menu bar" -- i don't care what you call it -- but I need a bar at the top or bottom of the screen that shows me ALL of my open windows.
#3 - It also must let me Apple-Tab through all of my open windows, not just the applications.
So... anybody know of a drop-in replacement Windows Manager that would let me still run native apps that I love like iMovie yet get the keyboard functionality that I need to prevent me from further exacerbating my medical condition?
I've researched this for at least a few hours and the System Preferences tweaks don't even come close to what I need. Those of you that use both KDE/Microsoft Windows/GNOME && OS X every day will at least partially understand the big difference between the two camps of Windows Managers(again see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windowmanager#X_windowmanagers if necessary).
Thanks so much to anybody that can even give me at least half of a solution -- i surely would appreciate it!!!

Mac OS X is not X-windows. I doubt that there is a "drop-in Windows manager".
Keyboard shortcuts are controlled on an application basis. But you can define your own shortcut for any menu command. See System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts.
Also, virtually anything you can do with the mouse can be done from the keyboard. See Mac Help, search for "Full keyboard navigation". For example, to navigate to a menu item, type Control-F2, then use the arrow keys to move to the menu item you want. Return activates the selected item, ESC cancels the operation. Control-F3 gives the same kind of access to the Dock.
Navigating open windows is easy: Command-Tab to the application, Command-` (back quote:forward/tilde:backward) to the desired window.
In dialogs, most buttons have a keyboard shortcut, although it is not always obvious what they are. The Blue button = Return, the Cancel button = ESC. Other buttons are typically Command-(first letter of the button name). For example "Don't Save"=Command-D, usually.

  • Replace windows 7 home premium 64bit oem

Hi I've a Lenovo g770 laptop from Poland and using in uk. Changing language to uk does not work 100% on home premium edition. So if I buy new windows 7 in uk could I install this as a new oem version on the laptop replacing existing (which would be used as recovery) and therefore replacing the key associated with the machine, or just keep the original oem recovery as is and install new uk version - ending up with two keys one on machine for original and one for the Dvd version. Hope this makes sense.
    Thanks

There is something else you may want look at first. Use Anytime upgrade to upgrade your existing version to Windows 7 Ultimate. That would allow you to install language packs and change your current version of windows to whatever language you want.

  • Find & Replace window missing in Toolkit CS5

    Hello--
I just started using Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit CS5 after installing Photoshop CS5, and ran into a strange problem: the Find & Replace menu option and key command do not function correctly, in that I cannot access Find at all.  The Find / Find Results window does not appear, and I cannot get the window to appear by selecting the option in the Windows tool menu either. This works just fine in Toolkit CS4, and is very frustrating to deal with as I am trying to update my scripts to CS5, but have to do so in the CS4 Toolkit because I can't use the Find functionality.
I've already searched the forums and google high and low for this problem, but no else seems to have posted about it. I've already tried restarting and uninstalling / installing CS5 and all related tools. Can anyone help?
    Thanks!

Thanks! Looking in the preferences led me to the answer to the problem: I opened up the XML file and found that findAndReplace was put in an odd TabPane for some reason:
            <TabGroup5>
              <activeChild>findAndReplace</activeChild>
              <parentName>Tabpane13</parentName>
              <visible>false</visible>
            </TabGroup5>
I changed the parentName to Tabpane0 and the window appears now. Much obliged!

  • Replacing windows desktop with a mac

I currently have a macbook pro, 2009, and a windows desktop.  I'd like to replace the desktop with a mac, but will need to run windows on it for Quicken.  So, what would be the most economical alternative? A mac mini? I also have Fujitsu scanner for mac which the new computer must support.  I would consider a new or used mac.  Also, is Bootcamp the best way to plan on doing mac and Windows?
    Thanks!

The Fujitsu ScanSnap works great on the Mac and is accessible through its own software, VueScan, or EverNote among many other software packages. As far as using Windows and Quicken, Bootcamp is an either/or proposition and not both at the same time. On the other hand Parallels Desktop will run Windows and Windows applications on the OS X desktop and happliy transfer data from one environment to the other. In eithercase you will need to purchase and install a copy of Windows and while Windows is running your Mac will be as vulnerable to Windows malware as any Windows computer so you will also need a good security suite that would otherwise be unnecessary. A Mac mini or an iMac would be a more thqan adequate desktop computer. If you are buying an new monitor for the Mac Mini the final price will be pretty close to that of an iMac. If you are planning on using the monitor from your PC then the Mac mini will save you anywhere up to $1,000 or more. I switched from an iMac to a Mac mini when I got tired of essentially buying a new monitor every time I upgraded my computer and I am very please with the performancek of my mini. The Fusion drive helps -- a LOT.

  • 4gLTE checking Window Mounts/recharging

I just bought a 4gLTE mobile hot spot and it is fantastic.  I am working on it 8 hours a day and it's great.  I am noticing one thing that does not work the same on a hard wired connection.   I know this will be difficult but I just want to see if anyone has any ideas.  I work for a big company that has vpn.  Through the hot spot it seems like every 3 to 4 minutes something glitches out and the big company loginscript runs.  This big company has certain things it wants done every time the vpn is initiated and it has it's own Windows build that insures this login script runs.   It doesn't run this login script every 3 or 4 minutes on a hard wired connection, either through comcast or in one of the big company locations directly on their lan.  I have some (2 or 3) mounts to servers that I use and it may be that it is noticing the mount doesn't answer as fast as normal and that triggers the login script.  I have tried disabling the mounts but I can't get them to go away while I am using the hotspots.  Any thoughts about why this loginscript is only triggered through the mobile hot spot.
Also I work on the mobile hot spot 8 hours a day.  I found the battery doesn't last for 3-4 hours so I keep it charging constantly (plugged into the AC).   Is this going to burn it out?

Thanks for posting.  Can you please PM me the device model and your mobile telephone number and I would be more then happy to resolve this issue for you.  Thank you.
