HP F2480 - not aligning label printing

Hi there,
my HP F2480 is a great little desktop all in one but i have never been able to print labels from word (office 2007). There seems to be a problem with the alignment and the labels do not fit to the template selected in word. it is strange however that sometimes when i just print to a normal A4 sheet it works fine. So i presume it maybe the different thickness  of the label sheet.
Anyway if anyone else has had this problem or could help me out that would be great.~
cheers,
Jeremy

Hi - you might try setting the paper type from Automatic to Plain Paper, in the printer driver, when printing the labels.  If it is working fine on plain paper, it might have to do with the automatic paper sensor.
Hope that helps

  • I can not align my printer for labels..

It prints right at the top of the sheet and misses the boxes......I have set the page up correctly....(preview is fine) because it does it ordinarily and is a pain losing the first line of text from a document.  It happens from both of our pcs......Help!!

    Hi Mabel,
    Here is a long shot...
I don't have my label printing software loaded right now, so I cannot test - please bear with my description...
Avery labels (and perhaps others) has it's own software - Avery Design Pro 5.5 - it's free and it prints on Avery labels.  It works very well.  One of the features is a "calibration" of the template, that is, just before you print a set of labels the first time, you can calibrate the printer to the template so everthing lines up properly.
Maybe you need to calibrate your label making software?
The only other thing I've ever had problems with is accidently putting the label sheet in head-to-heels, that is spun around the wrong way.  There are arrows on the sheet - one would think I'd see them, but not always; the printer is in a large, dark cabinet and I don't always look quickly enough.
    I hope this helps.

  • Week No. on new P45 forms does not align and prints outside the ...

The new P45 sapscript (HR_GB_P45_A4_D & HR_GB_P45_A4) does not align the Week number within the box of the pre-printed HMRC stationery. The week number appears on all three forms (1/1A, 2 and 3), being page 1,2 and 3 of the sapscript, and all are printed out of their appropriate box.
Has anyone else encountered this problem ?.
I can correct this as we currently use a Z version of the sapscript. I have checked the Z version (a recent copy) of the SAP original sapscript to ensure that the original will also have a mis-alignment, which it does. However, despite changing this I would still like SAP to correct their mistakes. I must admit I am VERY surprised that nobody else has encountered this problem as any week number being displayed on either the HR_GB_P45_A4 or HR_GB_P45_A4_D form will not align correctly.

P45 form printing to tray 1,2, and 3.
On a slightly related subject we occassionally find that our lexmark three bin printer seems to forget it's bin setup and every now and then the pages will come out on the wrong HMRC pre-printer stationey. We have double-checked the paper loaded and we ONLY have the P45 form 1/1A in try 1, form 2 in tray 2 and form 3 in tray 3. However, despite this it still occassionally goes wrong, with the form 1 and 2 printing to tray 2 and form 3 printing to tray 3. This normally happens after a long weekend, so I don't know whether this is a printer driver caching problem or suchlike. Has anyone had any similar problems?.

  • Automatic Goods Reciept label printing issue

    HI All,
we are facing some issues while printing goods receipt label. Please check below steps which we already performed.
    1. Basis team has already set up new printer Q534 in SPAD transaction.
    2. Then we maintain printer determination parameter with combination of output type/plant 5055 /storage location 0001/usergroup/ device
    3. We maintaned condition record through MN14 for th plant 5055.
so when we post goods receipt then it should go for Automatic label  printing. In SP01 we are not able to see any request.
Kindly suggesst if any config is missing.
Also suggest in condition record, do we need to maintain anything under the COMMUNICATION tab.
    Regards,
    Sanjay

    Hi Guys,
Today I created one PO in test system and GR posted then I checked Spool request SP01 but due to this GR posted, it showing the spool request only for GR slip but not for label print.
GR slip print showing correctly because in OMJ3 tcode WA condition type maintained for the plant 5055 and Sloc 0001against the printer Q532
Now I maintained label print condition type ZLBL in Tcode OMJ3 for the plant 5055 and Sloc 0001 against the printer Q534 but after GR posting, the lable print spool request did not generate.
In sp01 we can see only GR slip print request for the printer Q532 not for label print
Kindly suggesst how can we determine the printer (spool request generate) for the label print for the printer Q534

  • HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni - COLORS NOT ALIGNED

Has anyone resolved this ridiculous issue where all the colors are not aligned when printing?  Black text prints perfectly. But when printing images, colors are not aligned. Issue has been going on for months and YES I've done the following:Calibrated a thousand timesRestored printer defaults 1000x'sWasted my money and spent almost $200 on OEM all 4 color cartridges ... wasted!Reinstalled drivers 1000x'sHave the most updated drivers... believe me.Ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor software and it's showing me NO ISSUES... ridiculousChecked the HP Support Forum with no resolution....I'm with you fellow people with this same issue. HP HELP PLEASE! Please tell me it's a HARDWARE ISSUE!!!! Of course you're not going to admit it.Same issue occurs on my PC-Win 7, Macbook.. doesn't matter... it's the printer!!!And I finally posted this plead for HELP!!!Thank you HP.

    Hi ITSwami
I understand the printer is printing out of alignment.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector)
I have included a document for print quality and alignment issues. In
Solution eight: Print a diagnostics page, if the color alignment bars are off, calibrating is the only method of fixing this issue which you have already ran several times. I would also do Solution eleven: Identify and replace the problem print cartridge, in case it is just one cartridge causing this issue. Remove the toner and check for a tuck blade to make sure it isn't sticking out of the bottom of it.
I have provided all the Manuals for the printer.
You would want to contact HP Tech Support to inquire about getting a replacement toner if that ends up being the issue.

  • Labels are not aligned properly when printed using HP5610

    Hi ,
I am trying to print Avery J8160 labels using my HP 5610 Officejet. I am using official Avery templates and have checked all printer settings, there are no issues.
Everything is fine if I use plain paper but if I use Avery label A4 sheet, the alignment goes out. It's as if the label paper is not being drawn into the printer properly. All print settings are fine. I have contacted Avery and they have no explanation. Avery infact said that there is issue of alignment with printer and contact HP for finding solution. And they said most probably its something to do with printer treating both papers differently and some kind of skidding on rollers or something else resulting into this issue.
I have just done a quick test, I removed top row of labels and then feed the sheet and everything is fine. To me somehow seems that its thickness of label sheet and somehow printer start printing before actual print area on sheet starts. While in case if paper is thin (normal paper or top row of labels removed) , everything is fine.
Any help would be great, I have already wasted many sheets of labels.
    regards
    Maninder

I purchased Label Printer Pro 7, but it does not work. It crashes. I press print, and the program closes. I press save, and the program closes. I press print and the program closes. I have had an email exchange with Pabel Printer Pro 7, but the best they could offer was to go to Utilities and click on fixed permssions. I have done that several times, and the program still doesn't work.
Can you please recommend an address.shipping label program that works with Avery labels that I can purchase, and that is also simple to use?

  • Not able to print label getting standard text as it appears in so10

    Hi,
I have a  so10 object ,script contains only one window i.e main and we call so10 object  in script  by using statement    'Include &standrdtxt& object text id ST lang EN' ( standrdrxt contains text name)but instead of printing label it is printing the exact thing maintained in so10 object. the so10 object contains lines as mention below
    <STX><ESC>K<ETX>
    <STX><60>SI<62>L1000<ETX> , etc.....
As it is apperaing in the print preview, what is the <STX>....<ETX> and where it is maintained .What should i do so that  label get print .

    Hi,
The below is the full information what exactly is happening .
the user  had a Win 2000 computer that the Intermec 3600 is attached through nullmodem serial cable as a local printer.  The user would log on to SAP on that computer and selected the ZNW_DTILABEL transaction (driver program). Within the transaction, the user would specify LOCL to send communication to printer.  The Win 2000 machine is being replaced due to  discontinued support issues later this year. The new machine has Win XP and does not currently communicate with printer.
    user is telling that
There must be something in this transaction programming that assumes language from Win 2000 that a recent 1/12/2010 Hotfix KB97220 had to be removed off the Win 2000 computer in order for the SAP transaction to communicate to the printer.
I don't find anything in coding which is not allowing to print label, if i print from my PC i am getting text <STX>...<ETX> as said in first post instead of label.what would be the problem with XP or wht needs to be maintained in XP.

  • Printing 4 up 6x9 pages on 11x17 and not aligning up

Trying to print 4up 6x9 pages on 11 x 17 paper duplex. Indesign layout is exacetly the same for all the pages. When I print the odd page is not aligned up with the even page. Example the header and bottom page number doesn't align up with the side of the page.
I even printed one page first and feed it back in the printer to print the next page. It's close but still off a little bit.
Can someone tell me if I'm missing something here or what my layout is not setup.
    I appreciate it.
    Thank you.
    Aloha

While Eugen is coorect about what I'm asking, his solution may not work on every printer. Even relatively expensive commercial printers like the Minolta BizHub series and similar products from other vendors don't have the same sort of sheet-to-sheet tolerance for alignment that yo will find with a printing press because they use differnt technology for moving the paper through the machine.
It's not unusual to see drift through a long run of up to 3mm or .125 inch overall acros both the length and the width of the page when working with digital printing equipment. In general that's within the machine tolerance specifications (+/- 1.5 mm) for page-to-page registration, and the only thing you can do is design to account for the possibility and use margins large enough to hide a discrepancy.

  • Graph Data does not align with the axis label

    Hi,
The graph data does not align with the axis label when
    datetimeaxis is used.

    Hi All
    Thanks for looking into it.
Actually we have just added a field GJAHR (was missing in the extractor) so that it takes data accoring to fiscal yr. Actually we had a issue that the Business area for a particular vendor 'X' and doc no 'Y' was showing incorrectly (similar to that of yr 2008) but it changed this yr and the extractor was still picking Business Area for yr 2008.
So we added GJAHR field so that it takes correct Business Area. we have checked in R/3 Extractor checker and it shows correctly.
But that change has not reflected in BW yet even after replicating datasource.
I hope i have made you all understand the situation.
    Thanks for your help

  • J4550 error message "Alignmnet page not detected" -alignment page prints ok

j4550 Printer will not align. Alignment page prints correctly (per HP website), but scanning page gives an error message "Alignment page not found". Printer copies fine. Default alignment results in blurred printing.

Hello , Welcome to the thread!  I understand that your HP Officejet Pro 8500 All-in-One A909a Printer is experiencing Printhead and Alignment failures. Because you have already replaced both the Cyan and Magenta Printhead (twice) and Black and Yellow Printhead in the past and the issues continue to occur over time I believe that the Printhead sensor or print system within the actual printer is going. Should this occur then print system issues, such as Alignment, Printhead, cartridge, quality, etc issues will occur and will usually become worse over time. Therefore, rather then replacing the Printheads it may be time to replace the actual printer. With that being said, there are a few troubleshooting steps that I would like you to complete to resolve this issue.   To start, please click here . Once the support document opens please review all of the listed Solutions and sub-steps to ensure that all steps have been completed. Should the issue persist, then a Firmware Update may be needed on your printer. However, I do need to know what Operating System you're using on your computer in order to provide you with the correct Firmware Update. The Firmware is the internal programming within your printer. It controls what your printer does and how your printer does it. If there is a corruption within the internal programming in your machine, your HP Officejet may not respond correctly.   Please respond to this post with the result of your Alignment Failed troubleshooting. Should the issue persist, be sure to include your Operating System in your response so I can provide you with the additional Firmware Update. I look forward to hearing from you!
