Hp Fax and voice calls mixed up

Question

I have one phone which runs two lines (fax and calls) with two separate numbers, this line runs to the hp printer into "line 1" and the fax is currently set to the correct fax number and is programmed to pick up the fax after two rings. The problem is that when I receive a phone call, the call is being picked up by the fax after two rings and the fax machine is not recieving or sending faxes..... Hope that makes sense

It sounds like, you have 1 phone line, with 2 numbers, thus you are using distinctive ring. From your description, it seems to me the printer is not setup to detect only the distinctive rink, instead it is picking up every ring pattern. Please take a look at the following document to help resolve the issue; Using the Distinctive Ring Feature.
