HP G50-113CA audio drivers with win XP

I'm having difficulty finding good audio drivers for my G50-113CA running Windows XP. I downloaded the Vista drivers from HP's website to see if they'd work, but alas they do not. Anyone knows which drivers I should use and where to get them? Thanks.

Conexant High-Definition SmartAudio 221 here
Unzip to a folder..use Device Manager, right click "Audio Device on HD",choose Update driver,
No to connect,
Install from a list or specific location,
Select Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install,
For the Hardware Type select 'Show All Devices'
Remove the check from "Show Compatible Hardware" and click on "Have Disk".
Next...browse to the unzipped folder and choose the "WiSVHe5.inf".
Ignore XP when it complains.
Reboot.

  • Audio problem with win xp sp3 black edition

    Product Name-Hp Pavilion g6-1318AX
I've recently installed the win xp sp3 black edition. All the drivers are working but there is a problem in recognizing the sound hardware...I have tried installing many IDT HD drivers but its not working...On the properties of IDT HD audio hardware it shows a s follow..
    Device not working..error(code 10)
    Plz help me Sir/Madam.
    Thanking You.

    Hi:
You probably won't be able to get the audio to work in XP on your model.
If you did not first install the Chipset driver and Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio before you attempted to install any of the audio drivers you tried, then that is part of the reason nothing is working.
    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=0&...
You may have to start from scratch and install XP if you can't uninstall the audio drivers you tried.
You can also refer to this guide, read the audio info listed under the Difficult Models section, and hopefully one of those suggestions will work for you.

  • Audio drivers for Compaq C770LA for Win XP Pro / integrated mic not working

Hello. I have downgraded a Compaq C770LA to Win XP Pro SP3. Almost everything seem works perfect, but I have tried several audio drivers and still can´t get to control or use the integrated mic which this notebook has. I can hear audio and even record, etc, but there is no way to use or get to the integrated mic and some of the volumen controls I was used to (as "Record whats been listened") are lost. Does anybody knows wheter I have to change the driver or if it´s going to be any difference if I install for example the smartaudio add-on? I tried HP but they replied they don´t provide drivers for notebook for Operating Systems other than the one they gave the notebook with.
Thanks in advance for any clue!

  • [Vox] MSI VOX TV BOX USB 2.0 problem with audio drivers compatibility

    Ok,let's go...
I have a DELL Latitude d510 laptop with a centrino 1.73 GHz procesor and a soundcard supported by Sigmatel software Sigmatel C-Major audio.I bought MSI VOX TV BOX USB 2.0 and tried to install it on my lap top.Yes,I had problems with SP2 on my XP and the MSIVPS software from the instalation CD was crashing every time I tried to start it,but I solved those problems by downloading the latest drivers and the 3.xx version of MSIPVS.But...I still have a problem with audio. To be precise it seems that my audio drivers are incompatible with the VOX drivers. So now I have video but I don't have audio. Also I installed the tv card on my desktop machine and it worked like a charm(everything workes:audio, video, the old MSIPVS which I like better than the new one cause it supports my remote, has better way of managing scanned channels,e.t.c ,but I have USB 1.1 on my MB so the image quality is very poor).I did a lot of experimenting, for example i uninstaled my audio drivers(that Sigmatel C-Major thing),and installed the old MSIVPS and guess what...IT WORKED but there is no use from this cause I don't have audio On the other hand if I have everything installed then in the MSIVPS (the 3.xx version not the old one) under audio I get CD Player as an input audio device(what happened with microphone...?).To cut the long story short I tried a bunch of things and still no audio. Is there any other case of DELL audio software-VOX incompatibility?Any ideas,or solutions?

thank you for answering me. y have no pci card working, only usb 2.0 and sata devices. also, the MSI geforce 9600gt PExp 2.0 gpu. the only usb 2.0 devices which work, are the flash (pen) drives, keyboard and mouse. but no way that the WLAn adapter and TVcapture, both usb 2.0 work.i've  tested them front side and rear side and is the same failure: if i use a pendrive, works ok. if i insert the wlan or the tv capture stop work as the 2.0 and a advertising window tell me to change to a 2.0 port, means the ports are working slower, at 1.1.  i still have the other PC, built on the MSI K9N4-slif mobo, tested them and both devices work at perfection.  i have 2 screenshots to show you:
this, is the device manager (sorry, in spanish but you understand that's about the nVIDIA EHCI USB 2.0 controller. the 2nd one seems to be more sensitive (works worth) then the first one. when the tvcapture begin work, then fails, i'm trying to update this controller, does it ok but then the devicemanager-window freeze. i must stroke the "enter" key to "accept" / finish the update. then, fails again:
the other one is from everest corporate edition:
both drivers marked with purple colour!
i think i should update this Win XP drivers, but how? the usbport.inf file (C:\Windows\inf) don't change anything. i don't want to switch xp to vista, i'm happy whit it.
i'm thinking also on another possibility: could be an energy failure? some usb devices, like the big usb flash dives. 250-320gb, fail because the 5v/usb are receiving it's not enough. could be, but that means this mobo has no solution and i'll loose my money.
thank you very much and i'll stay alert of your suggestions. by

  • LAPTOP VAIO SVT15112CSX audio drivers that work with windows 10

Upgraded to Windows 10 (7/31/2015) VAIO SVT15112CSX but the audio (sound qaulity) was horrible.  After some trying I found that installing the Windows 8.0 audio drivers from the Sony Support area for the latop made the sound work great again. I installed the patch (1) then rebooted. After that installed the audio driver (2) (not sure if you have todo it that way, but it worked for me).  Everything else appears to work fine so far.  :-) Support area: http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=SVT15112CXS&LOC=3#/downloadTab Files from win8.0 64 bit:  (there are no audio files in win 8.1 64 bit area).Description of files:(1) File DescriptionAudio Driver Registry PatchRelease Date2/01/2013Version2012 10/15File Size1.00 MBDOWNLOADThis utility installs the originally shipped version of the Audio Driver Registry Patch. (2) File DescriptionRealtek® High Definition Audio DriverRelease Date1/03/2013Version6.0.1.6695File Size132.26 MBDOWNLOADThis utility will install the originally shipped version of the Realtek High Definition Audio driver.

    Hi condor,
    Welcome to Sony Community!
I believe the right model name of your unit is SVT15112CXS and not SVT15112CSX. Based on eSupport website, the drivers and software for Windows 10 will be released on November 2015. Those drivers are specifically made for Windows 8, but I am glad that it works well with Windows 10. You may stick with these and wait for the updated drivers once released and install on your laptop.
Thank you for posting your experience condor.  You post might be very helpful to other users experiencing the same issue. I'll bookmark this thread for future reference.

  • Problems with the latest Windows 7 Conexant HD Audio Drivers For WIndows 7

    Hi,
I have a Toshiba Satellite P305-S8997E with the Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 211 speakers. I have recently upgraded with the Windows 7 32/64-bit audio drivers posted within the last week in the Drivers section, and have had a few problems with them. Namely that whenever I listen to music (and etc), the volume is fairly low, and even when the speaker AND media player (Foobar, FYI) volumes are cranked, they flucuate, and eventually end up being much lower than they should. Is there any fix to this? I recently downgraded to the last Vista 64-bit drivers for them and that has ended the volume problem, but it doesn't sound as good as it should to my ears. Any help is appreciated.
Also, this computer is only about two months old, and this problem hasn't surfaced until very lately, so I doubt it's something like the speakers going out or anything.

Windows 7 is still a PRE-RELEASE OS until the OFFICIAL release date of October 22nd.  Toshiba and other manufacturers are still working on their drivers and may not have fully functioning drivers until then.  My advice is be patient and wait for them to get all of the bugs out.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

  • K8N Neo Platinum with Nvidia Unified Audio Drivers

Hi, I have two hard drives in my PC. I'm testing out the feasibility of me running X64 at the moment. I have newly installed X64 Windows XP on one new 2nd drive and used  5-5_xp64_dd_cp.exe for my ATI 9800 pro card with no problems. Then I have installed the nForce_6.25_WinXP64_international.exe audio drivers for my on board Realtek AC97 because i have heard they are better than the Realtek drivers themselves and the Nvmixer utility looks good. Ok, no problems.
I was so impressed with the X64 Nvidia drivers that I have decided in the meantime to replace the Realtek drivers with Nvidia ones on my 1st drive that has already got Windows XP Pro installed on it. So I uninstalled the Realtek and replaced them with these nForce_5.10_WinXP2K_WHQL_english.exe unified audio drivers.
But, for some reason, they dont work. As I understand, the Nforce 5.10 are unified drivers and should replace the original Realtek ones i had installed on my 1st drive. I see no speaker icon on my taskbar and when i click to open nvmixer on my programs list, a message appears stating it cannot open as there is no nvidia compatible sound hardware present in my machine. I already know this is not the case as the X64 Nvidia drivers work for my X64 installation on the 2nd drive.
Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

The sound quality on those compared to the 4.57 standalone nvidia (that has its own version of the realtek AC97 codec and updated interface drivers)  is not as good. Theres a long thread on here if you search for it for peoples opinions.

Shovon, the latest AC97 drivers from www.msicomputer.com will work perfectly for the K8N Neo2 Platinum
I currently have thwm running and have no problems
Go to that website, put the cursor over the 'Support' header and a drop down menu appears.
    Click on Downloads.
Scroll down till you see the mother board K8N Neo2 Platinum(under the main heading Slot 939/K8)
Click on the link, and you'll come to the drivers page.
The Listed AC97 drivers that are the latest are there.

  • Downgrade to win7 problem with audio drivers. beats audio software for win7?

I recently purchased the HP Envy 700-074 from best buy.  it was necessary to downgrade to windows 7 for some work software and I would like proper audio drivers/software for windows 7. Right now it seems to be detecting as Nvidia audio driver but in this case it doesnt allow my front panel audio ports to output audio. I would also like to have beats working.
here are the hardware ID's associated with the card
    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10DE&DEV_001C&SUBSYS_38423619&REV_1001
    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10DE&DEV_001C&SUBSYS_38423619
and here's a quick screenshot of the driver that is associating with it right now..
    http://gyazo.com/23499c19d5e2a21f81b9124ad822c07d.png
even those VEN_10DE's seem to associate to nvidia, but from HP the driver is meant to be IDT high definition audio? is something going on here?
the only change i've made to the computer is upgraded to an EVGA Nvidia GT 610 video card.,

    Hi, Paul.
    I have similar problem here.
I bought HP Envy 810-200nr and I hate W8, so I installed Windows Server 2008 R2, which is my favourite.
Then I solved numerous problems with chipset drivers and finally it all works, but Audio (IDT HD Audio) does not work.
    Completely silent.
    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_76C7&SUBSYS_103C2AF3&REV_1001
    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_76C7&SUBSYS_103C2AF3
It looks okay, when playing audio - indicator blinks and shows level, volume can be adjusted, all parametrers - speakers, etc seems okay but silent!
I tried numerous drivers for W8 and W7 64 but they give "Incompatible version" error.
Can you advise me what to do? I really want WS2008R2 here, but this audio is weird..

  • Boot Camp -No Drivers in Win and VM Fusion not Connecting to Win Partition

    Hello,
I am a new Mac user, but I have used PCs for about 20 years. I am having trouble figuring out a couple of things. Below is a step by step list of what I have done so far and I'll end with a couple of questions.
I have three drives in my Mac Pro - 1-Mac OS, 2-Win OS, 3-empty, 4-Data (two partitions. I went to install Win XP through boot camp and had some problems. For the record, Boot Camp never provided a dialog box that said would you like to burn a CD/DVD of drivers for Windows. All I saw was a screen that said, for drivers please use the Leopard DVD.
    1. Ran Boot Camp and selected Drive Bay #2 where I wanted to install Windows. Boot Camp went through the typical stuff (NOTE: It did not ask me if I wanted to make a Drivers CD, which is very strange).
    2. I went through the Win XP install and got to the selection of the partition. This was a nightmare because I could not tell the drives apart. They were all 500gb and Seagates, however the drive in Bay #4 was partitioned in half so I did recognize this one. The only way to tell the drives apart were by their letters, which meant nothing since there was no relationship to the names that showed up in Leopard. I saw drives C: E: F: G:.
    3. I did not want to screw up the Mac OS so I canceled the install and shut down the computer. I did finally figure out how to get the disc out of the drive and get back into Leopard. Nothing was affected.
    4. I came up with a brilliant idea after reading the message boards that I might be able to disconnect all the drives except the one that I wanted Win XP installed on to it.
    5. I removed Drive Bay #1-Mac OS and left the Drive Bay #4-Partitioned Data Drive in the system. Since it was partitioned it could be recognized in the Setup.
    6. I put in the Win XP Pro SP2 CD and went to town installing the drives.
    7. I selected the C: drive and formatted the drive. Everything formatted just fine and I was able to start the Win XP install.
    8. After I got into Windows I installed the software that I needed to run. I realized that I can not activate any of it because I am missing WIFI drivers and I look at the other hardware and I see a lot of question marks. That was too be expected. I put in the Leoplard DVD discs and I could only get one of them to read, which was the one that had Boot Camp. I couldn't find any driver information. I put in the second CD and nothing would show up with that CD. Yikes.
    9. I finished installing software and made sure all the discs were out of the drives and rebooted with the OPTION key depressed. I selected Mac OS and booted up successfully.
    10. I picked up VMWare Fusion to utilize the Boot Camp partition and I started that installation. After it was done I ran the program. I was informed of an update and downloaded and installed it.
    11. I ran VMWare Fusion again and selected the Boot Camp Partition and clicked run. After a couple of minutes I received an error message - "Windows did not shut down properly. Please go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES > START DISK and click - Windows as Startup Operating System. Restart System. Once in Windows use the Start Disk Pane in the Control Panel to select Mac OS as the Start Up System. Then click restart to return to Mac OS.
    12. I followed the instructions on the Mac side and then booted to Windows. I looked in the Control Panel for Start Disc Pane and I couldn't find it. I am not sure what this looks like.
    13. I restarted with OPTION key depressed to get back into Mac OS and that's where I am now trying to trouble shoot these issues.
Everything works well except - VMWare Fusion and my data drive has lost it's partition info.
Can anyone help. I am out of thoughts to trying and get things working again. Here is what I need help with:
    A. How do I create a driver disc for Windows XP? I was never given the option to create one.
    B. Did I do something wrong by removing the Mac OS Boot Drive to get Windows XP installed.
    C. How can I get VMWare Fusion to work with the Boot Camp Partition.
Lastly, I love my new Mac, but I am frustrated at how difficult this process has been the past couple of evenings trying to troubleshoot these problems. Maybe it is better just to install VM Fusion without the Boot Camp drive.
Thanks in advance for anyone's help in this matter.
    Rob

    Hi
I'm running XP SP3 having recently rebuilt the Windows side after a typically irritating unsolvable browser error. Rebuilt it to have this no sound problem, the 'Instance already running problem', etc.
Install this Windows patch - *http://couponmeister.com/blog/HD_Audio/KB835221.exe* (not on MS for immediate download). Uninstall any drivers associated with High Definition Audio if you're showing any in device manager. Re-install the Realtek Audio drivers off the Leopard disk. Reboot. Hey presto.
Worked for me after a lot of struggling with alternative drivers and research.

  • Re: Satellite Z30-A with Win 8.1 - Driver update confusion

    Hello,
I have a question regarding driver updates. Currently, Windows Update recommends me to update the audio driver (important) and the LAN driver (optional). Toshiba Service Station, however, doesnt offer new drivers for these devices.
My question is whether I should install these updates (particularly the important one) or if they are not approved by Toshiba yet?
Moreover, does anyone have a changelog for the new 3.8 Bios?
    Thanks!

Thanks for the quick replies! I was just tempted because one of the updates was classified as "important", for whatever reason, which are normally those updates that should be installed (e.g. for security reasons). In fact you are right, I dont have any problems with my laptop.
Sorry, forgot to state the model: Z30-A with Win 8.1
Any ideas about the bios update?
    Thanks!
