HP G60-458DX AC Charger not working

So today, my AC charger stopped working, which wouldnt be too much of a problem except my battery life is abysmal and I have 2 papers and a presentation due this week.
Does anyone know the steps to get a new one ASAP?\
Thanks for the help

In general, you can order the AC adapter directly from HP or you can try eBay. Unfortunately, you forgot to mention the model number of your notebook and the Forum members can NOT guide you to the correct web page so that you can order the AC adapter.
This is an end user Forum and most the members are not HP/Compaq employee. You may need to email the HP/Compaq service center if you need feedback or reply from HP directly.
Provide either your notebook model number or the part number of your AC Adapter and we can proceed the next step.

  • The optical drive red light stays on, no sound in OS X, the car charger not working

The optical drive red light stays on, no sound in OS X, the car charger not working, I think that its all tied to 1 error or 1 issue, maybe something to do with the boot camp file?
    Any ideas ?

    Hi S,
There is a switch inside the audio jack that may be stuck. Try gently inserting, wiggling, removing the audio plug.

  • Macbook 6,1 charger not working

Macbook 6,1 charger not working A1344
The Macbook is a 6,1 purchased in 2010.
My friend has had a go at the shooting suggestions but nothing seems out of sorts beyond it not working properly.
No damage or signs of misuse.
Ordinarily I wouldn't have thought a warranty would still apply but this paragraph on Apple support page made me wonder.
--- Whether your product is in or out of warranty, you can take your adapter to an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Retail Store for evaluation and replacement if necessary. Pending the results of the evaluation, you may or may not be eligible for a replacement adapter free of charge. Signs of accidental damage would negate any coverage. Be sure to bring in the computer used with the adapter; it is required to process potential adapter replacements.---
When my friend took the Macbook and charger into an Apple Store in central London she was told it's out of warranty and best option is to just buy a new one.
Any thoughts regarding whether Apple has approved free replacement for these chargers?
She is in UK but machine was purchased in Australia

all sorted now - new charger given
turns out a bit of intelligent discussion yielded results
so .. if you have any problem with an older mac take it into an Apple Store
theres an excellent chance they will fix and replace even when the machine is out of warranty

My iPad air charger not working after install ios8, can anyone help please, thanks

    Hey andon,
The “voice-to-text” feature you are referencing uses Siri to translate your voice into text, so you will want to use the following article to help you troubleshoot this issue:

  • Genuine Apple lightning charger not working with my iPhone 5S. a notification comes up that's says 'this cable is not a genuine Apple product and may not work reliably' and although the charging symbol comes up, it does not charge

genuine Apple lightning charger not working with my iPhone 5S. a notification comes up that's says 'this cable is not a genuine Apple product and may not work reliably' and although the charging symbol comes up, it does not charge - went to Apple in Milton keynes to get a replacement charger this weekend that does not work as well!

Well, if this problems is so old I think it is strange that Apple hasen't fixed the bug long time ago, and certainly after the release of iOS 8.1.
Well, thank you very much for your answer, Lawrence Finch. I think the best thing to do is to send the phone to repair, if there is no solution to fix this by my self. I will anyway call the Apple support tomorrow, but I don't think they will illuminate me...

  • Powerbook g4 charger not working, changed fuse and still no luck

I've got a powerbook g4 laptop. A few nights ago the charger just stopped working. The wire is totally intact and we have tried changing the fuse within the plug but it keeps fusing out and still not working. I really don't want to buy a new charger as I've bought at least 6 over the last 5 years (through the wire fraying) AND replaced the battery once already. Is there anything I can do to fix it?
    Thanks!

You must be remarkably hard on your adapter cords. I packed my Powerbook and adapter up and unpacked them again at least daily for six years and my original adapter is still working fine.
If the port to which the adapter cord connects in your Powerbook is at all loose or wobbly, your DC-in card is shot, and that may explain why your fuse keeps blowing. If you're in the habit of tripping over your adapter cord, that would explain both the long sequence of ruined adapters and a broken DC-in port/card in the computer.
Unless you plan to treat your adapter more gently in the future, buying an inexpensive third-party adapter instead of an Apple unit would be a good idea.

  • Lumia 920 Wireless Charging not working - Known is...

I have a Nokia Lumia 920, which works perfectly fine. I haven't had some of the other issues reported here with freezing, apps, etc.
I have a Nokia charging plate and I've found that no matter what I do the wireless charging plate absolutely does not work. I've turned off Bluetooth, Wifi, turned ON Battery Saver, disabled every background app, even hard reset my phone and tried charging it from stock. The wireless charging plate doesn't even maintain the current battery state - The battery slowly drains hour by hour. I've also tried placing the phone on the charging plate in different positions to ensure it's making good contact. Nothing works.
Is this a known issue? Is there anyway to identify a defective phone? Is there a possible fix for this? I love my Lumia, but this a killer feature I would expect to work consistently.

OK, this thread is odd. My charging plate works fine. It has a side with a little ring and Nokia in it, and the other side has an oval of rubber around the periphery with the usual conformance writing on it that side Qi, CE, don't throw it on the trash icon,  Mine works just fine with the Oval down, and the Nokia in the ring up. Is that not what others see?
I can turn it over, but it is touchy as to whether I can get the light to come on. Usually not. I assumed, initially, the oval went down to keep it from sliding around on the table, and Nokia went up because they want you to know it's Nokia. Has always worked that way. I wish there was a larger rubber something on the 'top' as the phone can slide and spin more than I think it should.
For what it is worth, I much prefer the charge stand, but the plate is more convenient if I am going to travel somewhere for a while. Couple of days, just charger, week or so, might bring the plate for the hotel.
BTW, I do get the connect noise when putting it on the charge plate. Sometimes it can take a second otr two. When I take it off, it can take several seconds to get the disconnect noise and the charging icon to go away. If I put it back on the charger before the disconnect noise and the charge icon goes away, it does NOT make a connect noise, though the light comes on. The light will also eventually go off at full charge.

  • APPLE CHARGER NOT WORKING WITH IOS5

    Hello,
Upgraded ipad 1 to ios5.  Apple charger, A1357, no longer works.
I get this message:    "not charging"  in upper right corner.
When I use my tripp lite  power strip with usb port, I get :  Charging is not supported with this acessory.
It will be hard to use this ipad if I cannot hook it up to power.
         18% power remaining.

I  should add that the tripp lite charger was working before as well.

  • IPad 2 Wall Charger not working at my home only

This is a strange one.  I'm hoping someone has seen this and has a solution.  My iPad 2 will suddenly not charge when using the included wall charger but only at my home.  I took everything into Apple and the tech found everything in working order at the store (adapter and USB cable as well as the iPad itself).  He suggested I try different wall outlets at home (which I had).
On my way home I tried what I thought was a long shot and plugged the wall adapter into a adapter I have that allows you to plug a 110 volt device into your cigarette lighter.  This worked and I was able to charge the iPad 2 on the way home.
I have tried a dozen outlets at home now and none of them work.  I read some posts about cold booting the iPad and tried that with no effect.  I also read posts about changing the order of plugging in the cables.  This hasn't changed my situitation.
This iPad 2 is only six weeks old.  I was ready to try purchasing a new wall adapter until it charged fine at the Apple store and in my car.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I don't want to have to drain my car battery or waste gas just to charge my iPad.

Update:  Apple support hadn't heard of anyone having this problem so I tried something else on my own.  I let the iPad2's battery run completely empty and then plugged tried charging it normally (using my home electrical outlet).  It worked!  My iPad2 is back to charging and working normally.  I'm still concerned that there is something wrong with the unit but I'll have to keep monitoring it.

  • IPhone 5c wall charger not working?

I got the iPhone 5c yesterday and the wall charger is not working. The USB cable itself DOES work because I was able to sync/back it up with my computer and when I plugged it in with the iPad wall charger, the USB cable worked to charge my phone. I mean this piece is brand new out of the box. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue and if it's worth it to take the time to go back to Verizon to complain..?

Sorry that this happened to you right out if the box. You can try to take it back to verizon I would say that all apple products are covered for one year. Because your iPhone 5C is under that warranty you can go to any Apple store and they will swap it out for free for a new one. Just let them know what's appended and they will do it willingly. Hope this helps

  • BATTERY or charger not working!

    Hello Guys:
my apple insurance ended in July 2009. I am unable to buy a new charger and battery right now because money is tight. Anyhoo, the green light on my charger is not lit and the icon on my macbook is says "not charging." I am not sure if its the battery or the charger. Can someone help me figure this out.
    thanks

+Anyhoo, the green light on my charger is not lit and the icon on my macbook is says "not charging." I am not sure if its the battery or the charger.+
hmm... I remember seeing this at school... to other people...
    okay..
Situation 1:(the laptop does not die after a while with the charger plugged in)
Its not the charger's fault. if the laptop does not die its not the charger's fault. It means the charger still works but the light just does not turn on. this happens to me a lot since I have an old macbook and an old macbook charger 4 years old(still works spanking good!). sometimes you need to unplug and plug it back in to amke the light turn on. If it still does not turn on then the light is broken but the charger works since the laptop does not die after a while.
    its the batteries fault.
Situation 2:(the laptop dies after a while even with the charger plugged in)
its not the batteries fault. the charger is plugged in but could not charge the battery, so your laptop died.
Solution: If its Situation 1 get a new battery. If its Situation 2 get a new charger.
    p.s. Merry Christmas!!!

  • Mac Charger not working, Pop-ups during boot up, and random cutting off

the first problem i had was my computer just shut off. Not sure exactly if it was a crash or what? Thought it could have been some kinda of problem with the SMS (sudden movement sensor?) but not entirely sure. After that happened i tried to reboot my computer. When i did that, the charger isnt recognizing or something because its not working. Have gone through the process of unplugging and waiting a minute then trying again but now nothing. Also on boot up i have had three different pop-ups appear. one is mDNSresponder, another is congfid, and the third is something like mbooklook or something like that. All asking for permission to access internet or something along the lines of a deny or allow kinda thing. So far i tried to verify and repair disk permissions as well as repair the disk. So far nothing has really worked. Im currently deployed so im limited to fixing the problem myself. i hope its nothing that requires it to be taken in. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

    ZachtheMAC wrote:
    mDNSresponder
mDNSresponder is a legitimate process for resolving DNS and Bonjoir
congfid is a System Configuration Dameon that work with networks
mbooklook  I don't know., maybe something to do with iBoks or a kindle reader or something
Anyway it appears your Firewall setting is on or your settings got thrown off by the power, go around and check everything is right in System Preferences.
So perform a SMC reset and Pram reset, let the machine charge up, perhaps it wasn't connected right.

  • Charger not working on mac air

I have a charger that work in some outlets like at work but very dicey on working at home all the time. Any suggestions?

if all the outlets that you tried are known to work fine with other devices, the problem might be the charger. Also, if your mac is a mid 2013 model, the charger is also covered under the warranty.
