Hp g6000 compatible different motherboard

Hello, I've got an HP g6000 and also an hp compaq v6500. Both their motherboards have failed but they both look the same models from the outside. I am unable to find some decently priced second hand working motherboards for those models, although I have found a motherboard for a HP COMPAQ PRESARIO F700.
I have read somewhere that the f700 and the g6000 have the same motherboard.
Would someone please tell me if I buy 2 motherboards for the f700, will they fit and be compatible with all the components of a g6000 and v6500 casing?
Thank you in advance
Ed

Hi Eddy1,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I would be happy to assist if needed. How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
I could give you the part number but to make sure it is the correct part that will fit your computer I would need the serial numbers for both so I could compare the specs. If you had the information for the New Motherboards that would be an asset as well. Please review the HP Privacy Statement . Then send it to me in  a private message.
Please let me know.
Thanks.

  • Q6600 g0 stepping temp in all 3 different motherboard

Hello all, I am just being curious about these temp. I had tested my q6600 go stepping with 3 different motherboard with all having the same vcore voltage. They are all at 1.26v. The p5k-e report my idle temp was @34 degree celsius, and it the same as the gigabyte p35, but with the p35 platinum it reported my idle temp was @42-44 with all the same physical setting on all. why is it like 8 degree celsius in differences between msi and asus and gigabyte?

  • Heatsink not compatible with motherboard

I recently bought an AMD A10 5800k for my PC and the heatsink does not fit my motherboard; the new heatsink has clips yet my original heatsink has screws and it is not possible for me to install the clips.  I have read that HP heatsinks are different to normal heatsinks, is there anything I can put in my PC to make it possible for the heatsink to be installed? Or can I buy a heatsink that is compatible with my motherboard?

Hi, The HP heat sink on the Jasmine motherboard screws into the motherboard as you have discovered. Did you try the old heat sink?  You might want to review this thread.  It doesn't look good.

    hi svt11,
Looking at the parts that came with your machine, you will need the lower base cover (FRU#: 31051843)
     - Link to picture
In addition, the FRU#: 31048939 should also be compatible.

  • D-Bracket compatible between motherboards?

To make a long story short, my old MSI 845 Ultra motherboard went bad on me. I junked it, and got a MSI 848P Neo-V. I reinstalled Windows XP, did my driver updates, and installed Service Pack 2. Everything was fine and dandy, and then I shutdown to install my old D-Bracket in my new board.
I checked my 848P Neo-V manual, found the pins for the D-Bracket, and plugged it in. I also plugged in the four port USB panel that I was using on my old board. I booted up, and had no keyboard/mouse control.
Several keyboards and mice later, as well as multiple CMOS resets later, I still have no keyboard and mouse control of any form. Windows still boots up just fine(before I reset my CMOS), but I am unable to get any USB or PS/2 keyboards or mice working to use my system. If I press my power button, windows shutdowns correctly, but I just cant get any sort of keyboard/mouse control.
Usually, when I boot up my computer at the moment, the Caps Lock, Number Lock, and Scroll Lock lights flash on and off synchronously(sp?). Sometimes though, it just sits there and doesnt flash at all. Also, any USB devices I plug in do NOT get power.
I would have tried to do a BIOS update, however, it is seemingly impossible because I have no keyboard/mouse control and at the moment I get a 'CMOS/GPNV Checksum Bad' error message on startup 100% of the time.
Any thoughts on whether or not I fried my board by using a working D-Bracket from my old board?

I have done do. However, I still was unable to get any sort of keyboard/mouse control at all. It appears that the usage of the D-Bracket from the 845 Ultra took my board out. I got ahold of a new 848P Neo-V, threw it in there, hooked her up, and shes working like a dream.
For any visitors from the future out there, take this as a warning: If it didnt come with the board, dont use it, even if it has a spot on the new board for it.

  • NF520T-C35 compatible with GTX460 video cards?

    Hello,
to cut it short - I have problems installing Msi Cyclone GTX460 768MB/OC on this mobo. Until now I had Asus 9800GT which worked flawlesly. Preparation is done as usual (cleaning old drivers), vga in case, login to windows (XP Home, SP3), installation of new drivers (from MSI DVD that came with vga), restart... Then I came to the Windows logo screen, keyboard initialized but mouse NOT, and then after a few seconds - black screen. Fans are working, nothing I can do except for restart.
After that I can boot to the safe mode, mouse will sometimes initialize, sometimes not, but I can at least logon to safe mode via keyboard. I did other varants that came to my mind:
-deleting drivers in safe mode, rebooting, normal logon in Windows, then installing the newer ones from Nvidia site. After the reboot, exact the same hanging after Welcome screen.
-deleting drivers in safe mode, reboot to normal Windows, installing the older drivers (last ones from 9800GT) - no help, because drivers do not recognize 460GTX, and ask for a newer drivers
The usual suspect in this case is a power supply (Cooler Master 450W Real Power, 12A/10A at 2x 12V rails in continuity, 18A/16A at peak 60. sec), but I doubt that it is a problem - even if the supply is not strong enough for excessive 3D, it can at least have enough power to boot into Windows?
So, the only other explanation that came to my mind is that maybe my mobo is not compatible with GTX460 card? Why, because I found reports that some people needed to update mobo bios for GTX460 to work, but without any specific details about manyfactuter, chipset, etc. The latest bios is installed on my mobo, from May 2010.
Any help will be highly appreciated!

So I gave up on waiting for a miracle to happen, and bought a new motherboard (Gigabyte GA-M720-US3). Straight instalation, not a single problem, vga is fast as Usein Bolt... All the other components in rig are exactly the same, as well as Windows XP instalation (no, I did not reinstalled it), so it is pretty clear that for some reason MSI NF520T-C35 motherboard is not compatible with GTX460 cards. Is it a problem with this specific mobo or with a design of GTX4XX series, it is hard to tell -  I have found many reports that people are having identical problem (hanging at a Welcome Screen) with GTX4XX cards from other manufacturers, on many different motherboards, in all MS OS's. But for the end user, conclusion is clear...
Big thanks to all the people who tried to help me! Problem not solved, rather overcomed.

  • Satellite P200D-12O - motherboard number?

    Hello,
The motherboard in my laptop has died, so I need a replacement. I noticed there are two different motherboards available for P200D: K000056190 and K000055940. What is the difference?

    Hi
I found out that the K000055940 motherbaord was released for Satellite P205D series.
The K000056190 for the P200D but since both series are the same (P205D in USA and P200D EU market) I think that both motherboards are compatible too.

    Brian,
This problem is a little hard to pinpoint.  When you
say this code works on a Windows 2000 and Windows XP machine do you run it with
the exact same card, or with another DAQ card?  From the code you provided
it looks like you are using the device to generate a pulse train.  Are you
able to run any other code that generates a pulse train?  You might try
    the code located here:
    http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/niepd_web_display.display_epd4?p_guid=B45EACE3DFFB56A4E034080020E74861&p_node=201235
Are you able to perform other types of operations with this device, perhaps
analog input?  If you only use Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)
to create a pulse train, does your computer freeze?  You can test the analog
input and pulse train generation through MAX by expanding Devices and
Interfaces >> Traditional NI-DAQ and selecting your device.  Next
select Test Panels and either Analog Input or Counter I/O.  What version
of Traditional DAQ are you running?  If it is an older version, does upgrading
    your driver help?
Finally, if you still have DAQmx installed (or if you can install it) can you
generate a pulse train in test panels?

  • Windows does not boot on new motherboard

    Hi everybody.
    I am lost here.
I made an upgrade to my PC: replace motherboard, CPU and RAM. Keep everything else.
    I went from a celeron400 w/ intel chipset to 865 neo-2 PFISR.
The BIOS run fine. I can boot on CDs. But windows refuses to boot from c:. It looks like the MBR is fine, because I get the screen that says: "windows failed styarting, how do you want to start, fail safe mode or normal mode?" From here, any option I choose reboots the PC very quick.
I think the problem is that the geometry (CHS) of my disk is wrong. But I don't manage to find the correct values.
Does anyone has any idea of what is going wrong?
    - The hard drive is a 15GB IBM DTLA 703015 (desktar 75GXP)
    - I don't want to format everything....
    - The drive still works on other computers.
Additionnal question: any link to installation of Windows XP pro on a SATA disk?
Thank you for any idea you might have!

In bios under Integrated Peripherals, On Chip ATA Operating Mode set
    Native Mode
    ATA Configuration - PATA only
    SATA Keep enabled - yes
    PATA Keep enabled - yes
    PATA channel selection - both
You can't boot using a hard drive with windows installed on a different motherboard. There are too many differences to be successful.
Connect the SATA drive to SATA1, don't connect any PATA drives, and use the settings above. After you install Windows you can connect up the PATA drives (if any) to use for data.

  • Motherboard for t60p

    Hi All,
I have t60p 2007-FBG, unfortunately  some coffee has spilled into it.
I gave it to some computer lab for checking and they claim that the motherboard was ruined.
I checked on the lenovo website for the motherboard I need and it should be 41w1370.
Can I buy a different motherboard model for t60p 2007 (not for the FBG) like 41w1368 or 41w1452 ?
    Will it fit ?
Do you have any other suggestions ?
    Thanks

Sorry. You listed your model. Yours takes the same boards as the 14" ones and has an extra little noard (interposer) to extend the DVD connector

  • Can I upgrade a G4 15" Aluminium 1 Ghz motherboard?

My Powerbook G4 15" Aluminium has a 1 Ghz motherboard, 64MB ATI. Some beer got into the ventilation vent and it seems that the processor has shorted out. I was thinking while on the way I could buy a more advanced motherboard. Is it possible to install a different motherboard?

It's very likely that a pulled working logic board would cost the same as or more than a used working 1.67Ghz PowerBook. A quick look showed LBs for anywhere form US$250 to nearly US$800 with the higher-priced ones being prevalent.
Then there's a problem with some 15-inch logic boards; the 1.5 and 1.67gHz 15-inch powerbooks had an alarming habit of killing off one RAM slot. You could not tell by looking if the slot wa bad. Big "gotcha" waiting there in the parts market.
As much as I love our houseful of PPC Macs, I would not consider replacing one with another PPC version when there are now used Intel MacBooks and MacBook Pros about for under US$1000. Modern web technology is leaving the PPC processor behind, and little if any new software runs on the older processors.

  • Dv6-3109ca motherboard replacement

Hi, I am computer illiterate. My "guy" told me to order a new motherboard. I have a hp pavilion dv6-3109ca laptop. What motherboard will fit? Does the model # need to match perfectly or would any dv6-3000 series work? TIA

    Hi mouse795,
Not every dv6-3000 series motherboard is going to work and according the manual it could be one of five different motherboards. Are you able to turn your computer on? If you we will be able to get some more information.

  • MSI GD80 Z68 motherboard temperatures

    Hello,
my system has been running for about 9-10 months now. Everything has worked great so I did not really concern myself with the temperatures too much at first. I'm pretty sure the temps back then where somewhat similar to what they are now. When I recently cleaned out the dust in the system, etc. The temps were reporting about 50 degrees Celsius in the bios and around 44 degrees Celsius in Coretemp in IDLE.
Anyway, I recently built a new system with an asrock MB and noticed that it was reporting in the bios that the CPU temp was around 33 degrees Celsius, the cpus on both systems are an Core I5-2500k running at a modest 4.2ghz with the stock cooler that comes with the CPU.
I'm somewhat sure my system is OK and this may be normal but I still have this nagging feeling that if I could get lower temps I should, or at least get confirmation this is something with the MSI boards and the way they report temps which isn't an accurate representation or 50 degrees idle in click bios II = 33 degrees idle.
Has anyone experienced similar or can advise?  I'd be happy if it's OK regardless, but you know how it is once you get that itch regarding your PC, you either fix something or you break it but you can't really leave well enough alone.
    Thanks in advance.

Quote from: xmad on 31-July-12, 23:44:28
While that temperature isn't going to hurt anything, you can try a few things to see if you can get it down.
What temps do you get under load?
What happens if you take the door off the case. (Don't worry too much about the temp in uefi/bios as many options are not enganged until the os loads)
Try replacing the Thermal Paste, make sure to remove the old with an alcohol wipe.
Since you are doing an overclock albeit a small one, you may want to invest in an aftermarket cpu cooler.
Under load it's reporting up to 60c-64c if I recall correctly
Taking the door off doesn't make much difference
the paste is stock and I don't want to reapply and do all that since it's working great and has not had any issues so far.
I just want to ensure that the 50c at idle is somewhat a normal reading for this board or what?
In the old days temps like these would be a catastrophe so my mindset is kind of defering to that, but if it's OK I'll let it go. I wouldn't even bother if the same cpu + cooler didn't report 33c on a different motherboard in the same room 5 feet apart albeit that other one was closer to the window AC unit but in a much crappier case as far as airflow is concerned.

  • Replace Hp Pavilion dv9002ea motherboard

I have Hp Pavilion dv9002ea Notebook with faulty motherboard p/n  432945-00. Once it was fixed, but it broke down again. Can I install a different motherboard for dv9000? Not AMD. Is there a board with two Mini PCI-E? Thanks.

    Hello,
I see that you have a question about the motherboard. Now, here is a look at what motherboards are supported for your notebook.
Now, it would be really hard for me to tell you how many Mini PCI-E slot come with each motherboard. I can tell you from experience more than likely there will not be 2 slots. Typically there is only 1 PCI-E slot and even looking the specs up for each motherboard it won't even tell you from there.
If you have any more questions let me know.

  • Wrong Motherboard Replaced

    Hello Erico,
My laptop(Envy 15 Touchsmart J - 0025US; Win 8.1) had a failed BIOS upgrade 2 months ago. I sent it to the service centre and I was told I had to replace the motherboard. I returned after two weeks and they had already fixed it. Recently I discovered that the motherboard that was put in is a Pavilion dm3 board. Also the battery no longer lasts like before. It currently lasts about 1.5 hrs (previously approx. 3hrs). I ran a battery test and it says PASSED. Current charge capacity is at 62%. I spent approximately $300 on the board cos my warranty expired and was given a diff board. The laptop is about 1yr and 4mths old. I'd like to know if the battery weakness is as a result of the different motherboard and what other problems may arise as a result of the different/wrong board on the system(pavilion dm 3 board on envy 15 TS). Thanks.

    @Therapeutic ,
Hello and welcome to the HP support forums.  I am sorry to hear about your motherboard concern,  I am not sure how they could put a wrong motherboard into a system like that seeing how they are not anything like a desktop where almost anything will fit.  A notebook motherboard is built around the specific design of the notebook and is cut to fit.
What you may want to do now that you have done a battery test is to do a proper battery calibration.
Testing and Calibrating the Battery (Windows 8)
    Calibrating Notebook Battery.
If you can please post back with your Product Number.  This will help me narrow down exactly what should be with your system and so on.
Hope to hear from you soon.
