HP G72-a30EM Intel graphic driver problem

Hello, I am trying to install fresh Windows 7 on HP G72-a30EM laptop, and I encountered a problem while installing Intel graphic driver. If I install it (doesn't matter if the one from HP site or the one from Intel site), computer boots to black screen (turned off), but I can hear Windows 7 login sound. If I don't install it, I can only select two crappy screen resolutions.  I have already instaled Intel chipset driver, AMD driver, but nothing seems to work for me. Any help would be appreciated

Hi there ,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, both from other users, HP experts and other support personnel. I understand that you are having trouble with the graphics drivers after a fresh install of Windows 7. I am happy to help with this.  You want to install the AMD driver from the HP website as it is for switchable graphics and includes the Intel driver as well in the same package. AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver. Download that version of the driver and save it to your notebook or some external device. Then, I would advise you to completely uninstall the Intel Graphics driver and the AMD driver as well. Then restart your system, and install the AMD driver from the HP website and see if that works for you.

    Hello Spatrik,
I have read your post on how your notebook computer is displaying an error message that your updated driver does not meet your system requirements, and I would be happy to assist you!
The first step I recommend is to remove the Intel graphics driver, as well as removing the chipset drivers from Programs and Features. These chipset drivers will be named Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Driver, and Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver. Once the drivers are removed, please restart your computer.
When the computer powers back on, please download and install the following drivers:
Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Driver
Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver
    Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver
Once these drivers are re-installed, please follow this document on Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 8). This should help in updating your computer's Intel drivers.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

  • Aspire VN7 571G 55ZA Intel Graphics driver

    Hello!
I upgraded my VN7 571G 55ZA to Windows 10 yesterday and since my notebook only had Windows 8.1 Home I got the Windows 10 Home Edition aswell. That edition forces updates from Windows Update and so it does for the integrated Intel Graphics 4400 from the Intel Core i5 4210U. The problem is with the manufacturer drivers from Intel my Notebook is not able to display real 1920x1080 resolution anymore altough it is shown everywhere as 1920x1080 also the some windows are really blurry. I already tried installing manufacturer drivers from Intel under Windows 8.1 and it did the exact same thing so I had to switch back to the OEM drivers from Acer.
So under Windows 10 I got version 10.18.15.4256 force installed. When I tried installing the version 10.18.15.4256 (after trying to uninstall the drivers on it of course) I got the error message "The system does not meet the requirements for the software.". The problem also is you cannot really make a good install with a restart after you delete the drivers on it because as soon as you restart the computer Windows 10 would just install the driver again while you are still on the login screen! Now I have seen how often acer updated the drivers for my notebook and I was asking myself if we will get another driver update in the near future that is probably an up to date version of the Intel Graphics driver like version 15.x.x.x? Or is there an obvious reason that I do not see why we still get the 10.x.x.x versions of their drivers? Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if this will help as we have different computers. When I upgraded to Windows 10 like you did......I just let Windows do it's thing.  After it was done, I went to Acer downloads and installed the chipset driver.  After I installed the chipset driver and it rebooted, I installed the intel ME (management engine) driver.  I never manually installed the intel HD4400/4600 graphics driver.  I just used what windows gave me in the upgrade process. The intel graphics driver that windows upgrade automatically gave me is actually newer than what's on intel's website.....so I just stuck with it.

  • Dell Inspiron E1705 Graphics Driver Problems

    Hello,
I have a Dell Inspiron E1705 which I am having major graphics driver problems with playing World of Warcraft.  I used to play the game quite a while back and got back into it recently but i had to reset my computer one day and when I downloaded the game again the screen flashed black then gray over and over again and there was nothing I could do to exit this other then manually shutting off the laptop.  I had this problem a few years back but somehow the game became compatible.  Basically, I am thinking about buying a completely new graphics card for this computer but I am wondering which cards are compatible and if this will fix the problem.  The Inspiron had vista on it but i acquired Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit after i had heard that this may fix the problem.  I am getting a new computer in three or four months so I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars hoping for less than a hundred.  I will post the computer specs below:
    Windows 7 Ulitmate 32 bit
    2 gigs ram
    100gigs rom
I believe the graphics driver is - Intel 945GM Graphics Controller
    Thanks,
    Matt

That laptop is not going to get the job done with the latest version of WoW. The machine isn't good for anything other than basic Internet browsing and word processing by today's standards so just save up as much money as you can and buy a better laptop in a few months.
I'd clarify - that specific model of E1705.  E1705s were available with discrete graphics, those will still make the grade for WoW.  (I have an E1705 with discrete graphics.)
E1705s with discrete graphics and E1705s with integrated graphics used different motherboards - no way to upgrade from integrated to discrete.  There were some limited discrete-to-discrete upgrade options (such as the 7900GTX from that generation's XPS machines), but these were rarely economical.

  • Original Intel Graphics Driver will not allow me to update it

HP ENVY 23-d006a TouchSmart All-in-One Desktop PC
operating system is microsoft 8 (64-bit)
Whenever I try downloading the Intel Graphics driver from the download software and drivers page , I will then attempt to update it. however, a box pops up saying "your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update. update has been cancelled. (9996)"
I am pretty certain that it should be compatible with the pc.
    help is much appreciated

    pikablu93,
Thank you for the replay, not the number that we need.
Here is a link that shows how to find the product number, that way we can pull the exact driver for your computer.
Once you have the product number you can go to HP.com and download the driver.
    Have a good day.

  • Firefox 5 is causing my Intel graphics driver (it is up to date) to crash - never had a problem with Firefox 2, 3, or 4.

Having repeated intel graphics accelerator driver crashes - screen goes black and it recovers - get little error message screen as what happened. Happens frequently. I have done driver scans and everything is up to date. Did not have this problem with firefox 4

This is my problem too. I saw a post about a computer crash above. I found if I wait (various periods of time) the computer restores and firefox stays broken. Although being impatient, I would reboot the computer anyway.
I HAVE SWITCHED TO CHROME until this problem is resolved. You can import all your bookmarks and passwords and live happily ever after. When and If this problem is resolved, I may switch back (been loyal for years and years).. if it takes too long, I'll probably just stay with chrome as my new browser.
I have also seen a similar screen to the "BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH" that scared me, but it was a graphic driver crash warning (windows 7) nothing more. However I did pee myself a little.
For a while I thought my graphics card was overheating or something, but found the crashes coincided with firefox boot. That's when I discovered this thread. Thanks folks for posting.

  • X230T graphics driver problem

Hi everyone~just before i start im not a huge programming nerd so youll have to try and keep it simple kay?XD
anyway up until about janurary i was using 123d by autodesk for some designing stuff. One day i got a message while starting the program aying windows has enountered a problem launching this program and will alert me when a solution is avaliable~after talking to autodesk for a bit weve discovered my graphics driver seems to be serverely out of date~ill give you my tech specs~
    Lenovo X230T
    16GB ram
    intel core I5 processor (2.6ghz)
    running windows 7 professional~
    and driver specs
Display adapter type Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
Total available graphics memory 1696 MB
    Dedicated graphics memory 64 MB
    Dedicated system memory 0 MB
    Shared system memory 1632 MB
    Display adapter driver version 8.15.10.2696
    Primary monitor resolution 1366x768
    DirectX version DirectX 10
According to my computer it has the latest drivers~but if you look at intels site its not
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23714&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207...
i contacted intel and they said to try doing a manual install which didnt work, then they said to update lenovo drivers (which i did). and so far nothings working~any ideas?

Install the latest driver that you linked to at the Intel site. Then open Device Manager and find "Display adapters" under this their should be "Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000".  Right click "Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000" and choose "Properties" a new window will open up. Select the "Driver" tab and check the "Driver Version". The Driver Version should be 10.18.10.3496 the latest as of 4/22/2014. The driver package actually has 2 different version numbers (1) the package version, in this case 15.33.18.64.3496 and (2) the actual driver version, in this case 10.18.10.3496.

  • Yoga 13 Graphics driver problem -BSOD

I am having a problem getting this frequent "graphic driver stopped responding..." message and a "video_scheduler.." BSOD after that. Something like this:
    Steps I did:
Did OKR. Clean driver. Lenovo driver. Windows update intel Driver. Latest Intel HD 4000 from their site. The BIOS version is upto date but I reinstalled again.NO luck. .I tried both Win 8 and 8.1 here. .. I tried all these possibilities..
Did clean windows install from a non-lenovo windows 8 image. Wiped SSD. Windows was fresh, clean and no bloatware. No Luck.  Updatet to 8.1 .. did all possibilities again.. no luck.
I called Lenovo Tech. They remote to the laptop and what he did is uninstall all graphics driver and use windows generic driver. He stopped auto windows update (since windows updates the driver). There's no error, but the laptop performance is horribly slow. Scrolling long PDF and websites is wavy and the HDMI port is useless.
Lenovos solution is unacceptable. The laptop is bassically useless.
Are you guys experiencing the same thing too? Do you guys know a solution. I really like the laptop but it is unusable.
BTW, I bought this laptop ~3 weeks as scratch and dent at their lenovo website. I wonder if there is a hardware problem for this.
    Also, the wifi sucks.. sigh

  • Graphics driver problem

I was having trouble with the GoPro Studio software and GoPro tech support said:
Currently, you run an Intel Q33 Express Chipset using driver version 8.15.10.1930 (dated 9/22/2009). Per Intel's recommendation, the latest version available for your graphics card is 15.12.75.4.64.1930 (dated 10/02/2009).
I tried installing the driver update from Intel, but I keep getting a "failed" message.
    Intel said:
I would like to inform you that the system is not able to update the driver since it looks like it already has the latest version available installed. I would recommend you to check with HP if they have a newer driver for this chipset or you may also check if you are using the latest BIOS version.

This the Graphics Driver and this is the Chipset Driver for the HP Compaq dc5800 small form factor PC. The graphics driver should not work if your PC is not compatible with it. It should fail to install. The current chipset driver available on the HP support site for this PC is dated 12/14/2009 and the graphics driver is dated 2/1/12. If these drivers don't resolve your issue, please let us know.

  • Can't install Intel graphics driver on W530

When I try to install Intel's latest graphics driver (so I can run OpenCL apps) it fails with "Operating system not supported".  This is on Win7 64-bit, and the drivers are for that OS.

Oops!  I meant to type W530, not W580.
So, it looks like I need to uninstall the existing graphics drivers, through the Windows device manager, then install the Intel driver.  Is there any danger in doing this?  What if my display stops working?  Thanks for the help!  -- David
I would recommend to uninstall using the add/remove programs and using device manager. Uninstall the driver from device manager will most likely remove just the driver and not the rest. You should find the add/remove programs in the control panel.
I cannot say for sure this will solve the problem, but i had no problems using the drivers from Intel in the past as long as i do not have the driver from Lenovo installed already. So it might be worth a try. There should not be any danger doing so, but of course when you work with a computer anything can happen.

  • T520 with Optimus - Can't install Intel Graphics Driver in XP

    Hello,
I have T520 with Optimus FHD screen.
I have XP installed in my Ultrabay HDD.
I understand that XP doesn't support Optimus and that I must go to BIOS and choose either Discrete or Integrated.
OPTION 1 (Discrete Only)  Which someone what works:
    - So, when I have Discrete enabled in BIOS - and installed Nvidia Drivers in XP - everything works fine, expcept on 90% initial boot ups after going from Win 7 to XP (F12 Options) -  I assume the NVIDIA driver doesn't get initially recognised and the XP boots up in non native resolution.
    - It's only after I restart again and use (F12 again) to pick Ultrabay with XP, the Nvidia gets properly loaded. But this time, there is a prolong delay (60 to 90 seconds) of black screen after the WIndows XP Welcome screen before the desktop appears.
OPTION 2 (Intgrated Display Only) - Of couse, this after uninstalling NVIDIA Graphic Driver in XP
    - In BIOS, Integrated Graphic in choosen.
    - XP boots up in basic resolution.
    - I download (From Lenovo T520 Driver Page) - Intel Integrated Driver for Win XP 32.
    - When I try to install it, it says "The computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements for installing the software"
    - BTW, I do have all the WIndows Updates including NET 3.0 and higher
    - So then, I try to forcibly installed through Device Manager and Having DISK  - but I get Error message.
    - But somehow, it works after.
One guess I have and that confuses me is the Otimus Graphic Card - where maybe it can only work with either Optimus Drivers in Windows 7 or Nvidia Drivers in Windows XP. And that the Integrated Intel HD Graphic Drivers in for XP on Lenovo website are only meant for T520 with Intel Graphics ??!!
Or can optimus be used with intergrated intel drivers only in the XP?
If anyone can shed a small light, I would be grateful.
    Thanks You

Glad to know everything is working for you.
You shouldn't need the discrete to watch flash videos, the Intel integrated should be able to handle that on its own.
The nVidia card shouldn't be running at all when the machine is in integrated . In fact it doesn't even run in Optimus except when it is actively being used. nVidia proved this when it was first demoing the technology. nVidia removed the nVidia chip from the motherboard of an active system that was running in Optimus using only the integrated graphics, and the computer kept running without issue and the power consumption was the same with and without the chip on the board.
If you really wanted FireFox to always run with the nVidia card (again, I don't know why you would want this) you can change the settings in the nVidia control panel to force FireFox to run with discrete.

  • Can I install Intel graphic driver on Satellite M40X-119?

Dear All, I have Satellite M40X-119 with Mobile Intel® 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family for the graphics card. I found an update on Intel web site for the driver, but it was written that "This is not to be used if the system has a third party graphics card", what does that means?
Can I install the driver for my Toshiba Laptop or not.
    Thanx in Advance

    Hi Mahmood
In my knowledge Toshiba recommend using only the Toshiba graphic drivers and if you want to use drivers from another manufacture so you can do it at your own risk.
Some people have suggested that the Toshiba graphic drivers are a little bit modified because of the card overheating. You know, if the notebook cooling modules get a performance limit the graphic card driver decreases the card performance to reduce the temperature.
I think the Intel original driver does not support such feature and therefore its advisable to use the Toshiba drivers.

  • T530 windows 8.1 Intel graphics driver for Widi

A new graphics driver appears to be required when running Widi on the T530 after an upgrade to Windows 8.1.   Intel provides a generic version 15.33.5.64.3316, but this will not load on the T530.   It fails because it wants me to load a version from Lenovo.   Lenovo does not appear to have released a new graphics driver for the Intel 4000 graphics processor yet.   When will that be available?
    Barry
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You need to uninstall the existing intel driver using programs and features in control panel. After restarting, the generic driver should be able to install using the installer. I wouldn't force install via device manger as when I did that it left components of the old driver around and caused system hanging.
