HP H8-1040 PC - GTX680 not compatible?

Hi,
I just recently purchased an ASUS Nvidia GTX680 4gb video card and I'm running into some trouble after installing it. My computer is an HP Pavilion H8-1040. The problem is after installing the video card, I boot the computer up and it freezes at the HP logo screen. I'm guessing that means its freezing up at BIOS?
Before installing the video card, I replaced the standard 460W power supply with a Corsair TX 750W. I also tried a Dynex 520W power supply I have and no matter which psu I use it still freezes at the HP screen. I confirmed it wasn't a faulty power supply issue as I am currently running the Dynex 520W psu with the standard Nvidia GTX550Ti card that came with the computer and it boots up just fine. I also installed the latest motherboard BIOS driver from HP's website and installed Nvidia's latest 600 series drivers as well. I know the card is also seated properly, the very last time I attempted to install the card I ensured that it was firmly in the slot and did not get bumped around.
So now I'm stuck to what a solution might be, if there even is one, to get this video card to work on this computer.

I'm installing ArchLinux on a extra computer at work... works great... but for the fun of it I tried running compiz fusion on it. I get this:

Am I right to assume that this means that the video in not compatible with compiz? Or could it be some settings that need to be tweaked.

I'm not the expert here, but compiz can work with indirect rendering, so I don't think that's the qualifier for if it works for your system.

Mail app deleted and reinstall wont open, says not compatible with OSX

i accindetally deleted my mail app and emptied the trash, when I tried to reinstall from the startup disk, it installs but wont open, saying that the version of mail is not compatible with the version of OSX (10.5.8)

There is no downloadable version of Mail.app - it comes with the operating system i.e. on your install disks.

There have been a few reports on here where Corsair RAM seems to have caused users a lot of grief with crashes.
The recommendation on here, mostly, is to only buy RAM from macsales.com or crucial.com as they guarantee their modules will work and offer a no quibble lifetime guarantee.
I'd put the original RAM back in, return the Corsair chips for a refund and re-order from one of those two companies.

I have installed Firefox4 to find it is not compatible with my version of OSX how do I get version 3.6 back or do I just give up and use Safari?

I downloaded Version 4 and installed it. At no point did it say that it was not compatible with the version of OS X that I am running (10.4.11) now that it is installed it will not open but it has already up graded from 3.6 so I have lost the lot. How can I download a version of 3.6 so that I can use it again or should I just pack up and use Safari as all I can get from your site is version 4. HELP!!!

I need to silently upgrade from 3.5 to 7 but get an error message after 7 install. Platform version 7.0 is not compatible with minVersion = 1.9.1

I'm trying to silently upgrade my environment to FF 7. I've gotten the silent install working great, it puts in my Proxy Server info, reassigns the home page and all that. But, the last version we pushed out was FF 3.5. If a user had that on their PC and they run the FF7 install, they get weird messages when clicking on the icon.

You need to do a clean reinstall.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Firefox will not open after new update; Error: Platform version '1.9.2.13' is not compatible

After accepting the new update I got this error message when trying to restart Firefox:

- Opening in Safe Mode; same error
- Uninstalling, deleting remaining info in C>ProgramFiles>MozillaFirefox folder, and reinstalling.

Now when I try to start Firefox I get this message;
Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.
But there is nothing happening in the Windows Task Manager. Please, somebody save me from Windows Internet Explorer!!

I experienced this error updating from Firefox 3.6.13 to 3.6.14 and resolved it by doing a 'clean' install' as described. It occurred again in updating from 3.6.14 to 3.6.15 and this time a clean install failed to rectify it. (Anyway, I don't want to have to go through this every time.)
Work-around: Shut down Firefox. Edit application.ini (typically "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\application.ini")

I want to add another management server to our existing SCOM environment. But whenever I run this setup on a new server I get stuck in the window for selecting the OperationsManager database. The database field stays blank and in the OpsMgrSetupWizard log
there are lines that the setup version is not compatible with the database version. But I use the same installer as when I installed the other management servers a year ago.
Maybe there is a newer setup installer? But I can't find it.
