HP HPE H8-1203 I am not getting any sound out to the speakers.

HP HPE H8-1203 It is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.  I have installed all audio drivers required. The only change is that I started getting bluescreens and could not log into windows so i reinstalled it. I can not find any information telling me where to put jumpers on the audio connector on the mother board to eliminate the front audio connector from being the issue.

Hi Wild1,
As I mentioned there isn't a jumper setting for the front audio. I have included a link for the motherboard specifications and a link to your manual page that has some information on replacing some components.

If still no sound, try a hard reset, works sometimes.Disconnect all external devices first.
    1-remove power cord and battery
2-press power button for 30 seconds
3-reinstall only power cord for first startup.
    4-power on

  • How come I can't get any sound out of my speakers

I  have a mid 2011 iMac...can't get sound to come out of the speakers... It was working earlier today... I checked to make sure everything was connected and not muted... Thank you in advance for any help out there...
    Shane

Go step by step and test.
    1. System Preference > Sound > Output > Internal Speakers
        Highlight  Internal Speakers / Headphones
Make sure that Mute is not enabled.
    2. If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.
Try this even if you don’t see the red light.
    3. Reset PRAM.  http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14222
    4. Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
        Choose the appropriate method.
    5. Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup
        Audio Devices window
        Side Bar
        Click the Built-in Output.
Make sure that no box is checked under “Mute”.
    6. System Preferences > Sound> Sound Effects
        Play sound effects through:
Select "Internal speakers" and then back to "Selected sound output device".
7.Launch iTunes and play a song through headphone and adjust the volume
       in  the Mini player.

  • Not getting any signal out from the NI9472 cRIO

I want to generate PWM signal from the NI9472 in cRIO.
I made a vi which (I think) should generate the pulse in the DO0 port.
but when I measure DO0 with oscilloscope, I get nothing out from it.  (The LED comes up in NI9472 that channel 0 is active)
Is there anything I am doing wrong here? (I attached the project and block diagram in jpg)
    Thank you so much.

    Hi hinewwiner,
Overall, your implementation looks good. I think it might be worth your while
to look at two other examples of PWM I found on our website which may be more
efficient and more accurate. Another important thing to not about the 9472 is
that it must have an external power supply connected to it for any output to occur.
If you do not have any supply, the channel may be switching (and thus the
channel LED will show activity,) but you will not see any change in output
voltage. Also note that the LED should be off when the channel is not switched,
and on when it is switched. So if you run your PWM at a slow enough speed, you
will see the light turn on when the pulse is high and off when the pulse is low
(at the rates shown in your attached project, your eye will probably not be
able to discern a change.) It may also be helpful for you to describe exactly
what the LED is doing to get a better idea of whether the code has stopped in a
channel closed position, or if it is simply changing very fast.
Another slight possibility is that the unit has experienced an over current
condition. Because the module has automatic over current protection, if it is
exposed to a current greater then 13A, the unit will open the channel switch
and wait for a reset. This may have occurred, and the activity light will still
show normal operation. To ensure that this condition is removed, simply reset
the channel, or disconnect and reconnect the external power supply.
For testing purposes, it may also make sense to simplify your VI by removing
the case structure, start button, stop button and outside while loop. You can
then simply start the VI in your real time controller, and stop the VI using
the abort command given in your real time code.

  • I can not get any sounds out of my Macbook Air

    - Basically because it seems like there are no internal speakers when I search in 'sounds'. Anyone, please?

Sounds like either the internal speaker volume is muted or the micro switch inside the headphone jack is stuck and the computer thinks something is still plugged in.
    1. Check the sound preferences and see if you can select and/or unmute the internal speakers?
    2. If not, try plugging in gently jiggling and then unplugging the headphones to see if you can unstick the micro switch?
    3. If not, contact your local AASP and make a service appointment.

  • Not getting any sound trying to record external synth in GB

I'm trying to record my Alesis Andromeda synth into GB but not getting any sound. I am using an Emagic AMT-8 as a midi i/f & a MOTU 828mkII as a soundcard. Both are set up correctly in core midi/audio as I normally use Logic Pro 7 with no problems.
In GB I add a new real instrument track & select the relevant input to corespond to my 828mkII, I then turn monitor 'on' but I am not getting any sound back to the 828mkII. Preferences shows that this soundcard is recognised.
I can play AU instruments or GB instruments from the Andromeda so the midi connection is good.
    Any ideas? cheers....

The Andromeda is plugged into line inputs 1&2 of the 828mkII (which is inputs 3&4 as the mic inputs are 1&2), The outputs of the 828mkII are plugged into my Genelec monitors. I know the set up works as I use Logic all the time, just can't get any sound in GB.
    thanks.

  • Trouble getting any sound out of new Mac Pro

I recently bought a new Mac Pro and I've been having trouble getting any sound out of the internal speaker. I believe it thinks that there are always headphones plugged in even when there aren't. I don't get a startup sound and it doesn't make the "volume change quack" when I change the volume. The choices under the Sound panel for Output are: "Headphones", "Line Out", and "Digital Out" even if no headphones are plugged in. Sometimes I can get sound out of the computer if I jiggle around a headphone plug in the jack but as soon as I reboot or the machine wakes up from sleep the sound goes away.
I'm guessing that it's probably a bad headphone jack but before I inevitably have to lug the 60 pound machine to the Genius Bar I thought I'd ask to see if anyone else has had similar issues and if there might be a quick fix to do myself.
Thanks for any tips or help.

Thank you but that unfortunately did not fix it. I'm sure I need to take it in.

  • I am not getting any sound input on my microphone. There is no microphone input on my new macbook pro, so I am using my old one. Is this a problem with the new operating system? Did they simply remove any microphone software?

  • I am not getting any sound with my apps, only itunes, any thoughts?

I am not getting any sound with my apps, only itunes, any thoughts?

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. The function that isn't on the side switch is set via the taskbar instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085

  • I am not getting any sound on my ipod touch

I am not getting any sound at all on my ipod. I am not sure what happened to it. I tried a game feature and there is no sound and it does not seem that my ipod is on mute. I tried Pandora which I usually listen to everyday and there is no sound. What do I do?

I would first try doing a Restart

If that does not help, try a different set of headphones to rule out bad headphones as the cause.
