HP ipaq 2100-SD card memory

I'm trying to use SDHC 32MB card, but it's not working. What is the reason?
SDHC cards cannot be used in HP 2100, or  is the memory size too large?

Hi,
Is it the one on the following link ?
   http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF06a/215348-215348-64929-314903-215384-421410.html?dnr=1
If Yes,  then your SD card is to big (capacity). Please use the following card:

    Whew.... got it to work after days of trying to figure.
    Got answer here:  http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1450821 from zblaze.
    Wiped phone completely, restored as NEW iphone through itunes.  Checked 'Sync all Music'.
    After that happens you can restore from backup.

  • 512 MB or 1 GB graphic card memory for PS CS5?

    To make use of acceleration by the GPU in Photoshop CS5 Extended, to what extent is the amount of graphic card memory needed influenced by the size of the image file?
    I am aware of the stated 128MB minimum, "256 MB or more" recommendation for graphic card memory. And I'm aware that certain features only become available with at least 512 MB.
    However, I'm not at all clear how this works out in practice for moderately large image files.
    A 1920 x 1200 display at 8 bits per color, 3 colors, only needs about 7 MB to display the screen, and that is independent of the size and resolution of the actual image being displayed. But considering now the image file, a square 120/220 film image scanned at 4000 dpi, 16 bits per color, will produce a file size of over 450 MB; a 4 x 5 inch color sheet film image scanned at 2400 dpi, 16 bits per color will be over 600 MB. I want capability for at least those two file sizes, and preferably greater.
    In order to make full use of GPU hardware acceleration for Photoshop CS5 Extended, does the entire image file have to fit into the graphic card memory? (If so, is that calculated at 8 bits per color (the output to the screen), or at the 16 bits per color of the image file?). If not, are there any other guidelines as to how much graphic card memory is really needed or recommended?
    Normally, I would just choose 512 MB or 1 GB, which appear to be the most common graphic card memory sizes for current consumer graphic cards. But I don't want to underspec. And I don't want to overspec either, because I need to maintain a dual boot with both 32-bit Vista and 64 bit W7, plus my BIOS doesn't appear to permit memory remapping, so graphic card memory will eat into overall DRAM space (presumably on both 32 and 64 bit Windows).
    Thanks.

    I am presently developing software using OpenGL and GPU acceleration.   I have exceeded the capacity of texture memory on purpose, and what I saw was that the card/drivers degraded the image a little (e.g., pixels were doubled vertically).  That happened only during a test when I was purposefully trying to exceed limits with more than 1 GB of texture data just to see what would happen.
    I have a 1 GB ATI 4670, and in all the time I've actually just USED it with Photoshop - other than pushing limits with my own software on purpose - I've never seen any evidence whatsoever that the GPU memory had been used up.
    From another perspective, given that a display contains only a few megapixels, and that Photoshop is substantially a 2D app, even if the display image data were to be kept in an outrageous double precision floating point format (which I don't think it is) it would be hard to imagine using up even close to a thousand megabytes, even with multiple monitors on task.  Without knowing exactly what Photoshop does under the covers it would be hard to estimate with more certainty than just a wild guess, though.
    Generally speaking, even a modest card like the one I have seems to accelerate anything Photoshop can throw at it smoothly (I don't use the 3D stuff in Photoshop, though myself as I don't have extended).  Decent 1 GB cards aren't all that much more expensive...

  • Save an image file in my phone/ memory-card memory.

    Hi everyone,
    I want to save a file (an image file) in my phone/ memory-card memory.
    i've infact captured it from camera and now want to save in the memory not in the RecordStore.
    What should i do ?
    Please help me.
    Thanks in advance

    hi,
    You will need the pda optional package jsr75 for file connection. Then create a byte vector from the image and then write the bytes to the location
    byte[] bytes = ... // from input stream
    String filePath = "file:///c:/"+aFileName;
              System.out.println(filePath);
              OutputStream os = null;
              FileConnection fc = null;
              try {
                   fc = (FileConnection)Connector.open(filePath);
                   if(!fc.exists()){
                        fc.create();
                   os = fc.openOutputStream();
                   for(int i = 0;i< bytes.length;i++){
                        os.write(bytes);
              } catch (IOException e) {
                   throw new IOException();
              }finally{
                   if(os != null)
                        os.close();
                   if(fc != null)
                        fc.close();

  • E72: Phone memory versus Card Memory - Which is re...

    Hello,
    Messages(emails,SMS etc) can be either stored in phone memory or on the memory card. On a longer run which is the recommended option ? I do clean all old emails reguarly to ensure it does not eat up lot of space. Is using card memory a risky option? Will excessive usage(read n write) cause memory card to fail completely. Appreciate any inputs.
    Thanks
    venks

    Depends on what you prefer.
    In my E72 I install all apps in the phone memory. The card I tipically use for bigger files like photos, audiobooks, music, photos and videos from the camera.
    As for SMS and such, I don't think it really matters, the internal flash doesn't seem to be faster than the card.
    On thing to consider is that if you have private data you should keep it on the source that you have encrypted (internal memory or flash card). You can of course encrypt both.
    I only install apps on the card if I don't trust them to be stable. I've had some apps that simply crashed the phone on boot and having them on the card meant it was really easy to solve that... just remove the card and boot.

  • Java Card Memory Managament: How do you free-up allocated memory?

    I have a problem with java card memory management, that causes the applet to hang. I think the java card runs out of RAM when my applet runs for several iterations or process() calls. My program requires significant size of bytes for each APDU command to be sent. (around 100-250 bytes, for each apdu.sendBytes() call).
    I use a temporary byte array buffer that will contain the APDU command to be sent, declared as:
    private byte [] tmpBuff;Before each process() call, the tmBuff is initialized and contains a new byte array containing the APDU command to be sent. (array size around 100-250 bytes).
    tmpBuff = new byte[] {0x00, ... } On the process() call, the tmpBuff is copied to APDU and sendBytes() function is called. The tmpBuff byte array is reinitialized after every process() call to contain the next command. After about 20 successful commands by the process() call, the applet seems to ran out of RAM and hangs.
    I suspect, that when tmpBuff is reinitialized before each process() call, the Java Card garbage collector does now free-up the memory that was used for the previous tmpBuff byte array initialization.
    Is there a way to reclaim the memory allocated for tmpBuff after it has been initialized?
    Or maybe call the Java card garbage collector?

    Cenon,
    Generally speaking, the new keywork is a bad idea outside the install method or constructors as the JCRE is not guarenteed to have a garbage collector (and if it does, has to be called explicitly by JCSystem.requestObjectDeletion(); This however is slow.
    A better option may be to use memory more efficiently than to rely on garbage collection. A way of doing this would be to have an instance variable that is initialised once and reused. This allows you to use either a transient or persistent array.
    public class TestApplet extends Applet {
        private final static short BUFFER_SIZE = (short) 300;
        private final byte[] buffer;
        private TestApplet() {
            // only have one of the following not commented out
            /* persistent buffer */
            // buffer = new byte[BUFFER_SIZE];
            /* transient buffer (much faster) */
            buffer = JCSystem.makeTransientByteArray(BUFFER_SIZE, JCSystem.CLEAR_ON_DESELECT);
        public static void install(byte[] bArray, short bOffset, byte bLength) {
            // GP-compliant JavaCard applet registration
            new TestApplet().register(bArray, (short) (bOffset + 1), bArray[bOffset]);
        public void process(APDU apdu) {
            // Good practice: Return 9000 on SELECT
            if (selectingApplet()) {
                return;
            // do some work here with buffer
    }In the above code you would be able to use the buffer to build the command and you will not have a memory leak.
    Cheers,
    Shane

  • Lenovo 3000 N200 graphic card memory problem

    Hello,
    Ive recently bought a new Lenovo 3000 N200, which has a onboard graphic card Intel X3100 with 256MB (shareable) memory.
    The problem is, it shows, in the Intel media graphic accelerator driver (under information) it has only 128MB.
    This is a copy-paste of the info, the graphic driver shows me:
    DirectX* Version:        9.0
    Physical Memory:        2038 MB
    Minimum Graphics Memory:    8 MB
    Maximum Graphics Memory:    128 MB
    Graphics Memory in Use:    10 MB
    So i would like to know, how can i extend this shareable memory (tried in BIOS, but theres nothing there).
    Thanks in advance.

    Okay, some of you people are using the Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics rather than the Intel X3100 graphics chipset. The GMA 950 is supposedly to have the maximum shared v ram of 224 mb, but this is only accessable only when the ram is paired and also depends on the motherboard chipsetyou are using. This is also true for the Intel x3100 graphics chipset. However, the catch is that the shared vram is not the bottleneck, you can still play WoW if youwith all the graphics setting to low.

  • N78 Sim Card Memory Full (but it isn't).

    Hi, my first post here as I've been trying to find answers to an issue I'm having at the moment, so hope you can be of help.
    I need to reformat my N78, so need to backup my contacts into the SIM card. When I try to mark all and copy to SIM memory but got the error message "Memory full: SIM memory" even though the card was already empty. I then went into SIM Numbers and tried to manually add each contact into the SIM memory, but could only get as far to 20 contacts out of over 120+ and be told the memory's full!
    Can anyone please help solve this frustrating problem?
    Nick

    1. *#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data)
    Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list.
    2. *#7370# - Reformat your phone
    3. This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working.If the phone is dead proceed with reflash if not, turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
    re-flash - hold the following buttons *, 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen. once you feel the phone power up you can let go off the power button while still holding all three buttons
    If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service.
    try the second code, if you want to go that route. download nokia pc suite so you can do a back up of your stuff and you can restore it once you do a reformat. how old is your sim card? sometimes its just a matter of getting an newer card that solves many issues. yes it might be something to do with your sim card being corrupt. perhaps you already have those contacts on the sim card and if you try to add even more it tells you that the memory is full. did you try saving your contacts to memory card?

  • Memory Card Memory gone

    Hi.
    I plugged my phone into the computer yesterday, and at first the computer said something about blackberry drive not found, and I realised I hadn't put in my password for my phone to connect to the pc. Then it came up on the pc and I could open the drive. but almost everything is gone. There are now only 13 items showing, when I had hundreds. In the past, when I've hooked up my phone to pc, it has shown a 'blackberry' folder, music folders, ect. All of that is gone, it only shows those 13 items, on the phone aswell. But when I go look at available memory, it says I have no free space, as if everything is still there. I did a memory card repair, told it to save the lost clusters, and it says the repair was successful. I don't understand what happened nut Please is there a way I can get it all back??

    Istvanst
    This could be due to
    1) Incompatible card. If your phone allows max 1GB and you use 2 GB your phone may not be able to read more than 1 GB
    2) Your card needs to reformatted. Check the total GB available.
    Its should be close to the full memory size. If its more than 1% then you have corrupt card.
    3) Try using your card on your friends phone. Format using his phone. If you get the same GB as you got in your phone then card is corrupted. Else your phone needs checkingMessage Edited by babdi on 04-Jan-2007

  • Using M505 card memory

    I have used Palm Vx's successfully with ittyMIDI for storing MIDI files to play on a crank organ, and recently obtained an M505 for the same purpose.   As it uses the same OS, there are no problems and tunes load into the remaining space in the 8Mbytes of memory quite happily.
    However, I have a 128Mbyte card in the slot - which would enable me to store 'thousands' more tunes (around 25K average size), IF I could find out if it is possible, and if so, how!
    Can anyone enlighten me whether the card can be used to expand the existing 'built-in' memory so that ittyMIDI can store tunes there ?   I would be sooooo grateful!

    Hi Alan - thanks for the welcome.
    Would that I could find out more from ityMIDI creators Micro Tools, but they seem to have ceased support and removed the ittyMIDI section from their site.
    I've Googled exhaustively, to no avail - every time I find something promising on this topic it turns out to be my own post here or on expansys !
    There are references to cards in the ittyMIDI Release Notes, which are teasers, but it also mentions that ittyMIDI itself cannot be stored on a card.   When trying to copy items to the card, the folders - or books - of MIDI files are shown as containing 0kbytes, which I think is telling me I'm on a wild goose chase.
    Ah well!

    1: If you have Opera Mobile installed, Clear cache.
    2. If you have too many "Saved pages" in Opera Mobile, delete those.
    3. If you are using Opera Mini, change its "Saved Pages Location" to somewhere on memory card.
    4. If using Ovi Music, Clear cache.
    If you have installed any other application which uses phone memory to store Temporary files change its location to memory card, if it allows you...
    Also Go to Settings>application manager>installed apps>do you see a mini memory card icon on the right side of each application you installed?
    If you don't see that icon that means they are installed on phone memory, uninstall them and reinstall on memory card. (please don't mind if you already know these thing, i am just trying to explain to make it clear if you don't know).
    And the ultimate way to free up Maximum phone memory is to do a reset, which i'd recommend to do ONLY IF YOU WANT THE PHONE MEMORY BACK ON EVERY COST. Just ask if you don't know how to do that.

  • Inncorrect video card memory

    I have a santa rosa v 3.1 macbook pro. I was wondering how it would hold up to crysis in boot camp, so I went to can you run it, and it said that my system video memory was 512 mb. I bought this when the highest memory possible was 256 mb. So I checked dxdiag in xp and it said the same thing. I was wondering why it is saying this. Is there an sli setup in my laptop that I do not know about? I have not checked it is os x, because I do not know how. I am fairly new to macs.

    In OS X, go to the utility called "System Profiler". This is in the "Utilities" folder, or you can get to it by going to the apple menu, then go to "About this Mac" and click the "More Info..." button. The video card information should be under the "Graphics/Displays" section.
