please can you help me to give a software to instal laserjet 1000 on Windows 7.
thank you

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/
I have included the driver page for the Laserjet 1000. It does not show any drivers though for Window 7.
Drivers, Software & Firmware for HP LaserJet 1000 Printer.
I hope this helps.

  • Laserjet 1000 - windows 7 driver solution

    All
I have just succesfully found a solution to making the laser jet 1000 work under windows 7 64bit
The trick  is  that you need a GDI driver  and  finding a supplier ( other than HP ) who has built one.
Go to the following link and download the windows 7  64 bit driver for the following printer
    http://onyxftp.mykonicaminolta.com/download/Search.aspx?ht=
search desktop printer -> magicolor 2430DL ->drivers -> windows 7 64bit ( or whartever windows version you need)
    KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 2430DL
    install the drivers
Add the printer as you would normally and then open the print queue window and
under printer properties select advanced and under print processor select winprint raw
The reason this works is that this printer uses the same hardware GDI engine as the lasjet 1000
    Enjoy
    Anthony

The way I have it set up is that my laserjet 1000 is plugged into a seperate old PC running windows 2000 with laserjet 1000 drivers loaded on it as its shared by various household computer ranging from Macbook to XP and now windows7.
I connect to it on windows 7 by adding a local printer and direct mapping it by creating a new port and putting in the box
    \\servername or ip address\printersharename
    i.e
    \\\Printerserver\Laserjet1000
set up the properties as I precviously described and it works fine
Note direct USB connection does not work
If I have some time to kill , I'll see if I can get the direct USB to work
    Anthony.

  • HP LaserJet 1000 Windows 7 (32/64 bit)?!

    Hi!
How long company (HP) will ignore HP LaserJet 1000 users?
We need drivers that working on Windows 7!!!
Don't try to ask me buy another - new model of HP printer, because mine is work very well!!!
HP printers working very well, but in case with driver support I'm very disappointed in this company!

For installation of the LaserJet 1000 in a W7 64 bit system, using XP Mode, please see the following link.  It also contains information about how to install XP Mode in W7 Home.

  • Printer driver for an HP LaserJet 1000 series for use with Windows 7

The CD ROM HP LaserJet 1000 series printer driver is not recognized by my new Windows 7 PC. So the printer does not work. I've looked on the HP web site for compatible drives and get the hint that a Vista driver would work. Can someone please confirm if this possible and how this is accomplished? Thanks.

Where did you find a hint that Vista drivers would work?  This page says:
Your LaserJet model is not supported in Windows 7.
For more information regarding upgrade programs and new product information, please visit the HP Trade-In/Trade Up website at www.hp.com/united-states/tradein/home_flash.html or directly from HP at www.hp.com .
Additionally, this page says the Laserjet 1000 is not supported in Vista.
If you are using the 32 bit version of Windows 7 it may be possible to download the XP drivers here and install them.

  • Hp laserjet 1000 series for windows 7

friend, I had a question for you, I have an HP LaserJet 1000 printer series but now I get a new computer with Windows 7, but do I not found hp 1000 printer drivers, pls send me the link or drivers ready

Yes - you can use the Laserjet 1000 with Windows 7. (I have two Windows 7 PCs printing to my LJ 1000).
Case 1 - (Easiest case)   If your Windows 7 installation is  32-bit  (How to check this)
Solution:  Provided by user jriv9 in this discussion
use HP LJ1000 XP HostBased Driver
Just installed it and it works perfectly.
    1. exe extracts to a directory of your choice.
    2. right click on printer -> properties -> update driver
    3. select to search in a specific location and select dir from step one.
Case 2 - If your Windows 7  is 64-bit and you have another PC on your network running Windows 32-bit (XP, Vista or 7)
Solution provided by user Los15 on this forum page.  I have tried this and it works.  I had to make one change - the port name had to be \\Computer Name\hp Laserjet 1000 DOS
Case 3 - If your Windows 7 is 64-bit and you have no other PC.
You can install the XP driver in XP Mode, and then install the XP driver as for a 32-bit machine.
Solution given by user erpp on this forum page.
    Alternative
On  same forum page as the XP Mode solution, another solution is given, using another piece of software called PDF Creator.
I'd just like to add my thanks to everyone who has contributed those solutions above. The LJ 1000 is a marvellous workhorse of a printer - the engineers who built it did a good job.  It's too bad HP didn't follow their lead and produce 64-bit drivers.

  • TUTORIAL: Install HP Laserjet 1000 on Windows 7 x64

I've created a tutorial to install HP LaserJet 1000 printer under Windows 7 x64.
    http://laserjet1000.esy.es/
    I hope it helps someone.

PCL5 is a rather loose term; for at least the last decade, drivers for new PCL5 printers have been one or the other of:
    PCL5e - PCL5 enhanced for monochrome printers.
    PCL5c - PCL5 enhanced for colour printers.
Even those terms are not precise, since the set of PCL escape sequences supported by one PCL5e printer may not be exactly the same as those supported by a different model, especially if those models are from different ranges / generations.

  • Driver for the hp laserjet 1000 to windows 7

This page lists the supported printers for Windows 7 and there is no entry for the Laserjet 1000 which suggests "If your legacy product is not listed, no support is offered for Windows® 7".

  • Laserjet 1000 printer driver for windows 8.1

Need help to locate a printer driver for my laserjet 1000. Thanks for the help...

If your Windows 8 is 64-bit I think you are out of luck.
If your Windows 8 is 32-bit, you could try the Windows 7 solutions given in the earlier message. They might work with Windows 8.
The LJ 1000 is indeed a great printer and it is sad that HP has not continued to supported the customers who bought it.

  • Windows 7 and HP Laserjet 1000

We've been using an HP Laserjet 1000 just fine with our Windows Vista Home Premium.  So I just assume it would work with WIndows 7.
So I was startled that the WIndows 7 Upgrade Advisor says the HP Laserjet 1000 isn't compatible with Windows 7.
Is that true?  Or is it, I hope, a false warning?

The Laserjet 1000 is not listed in HP's list of supported Windows 7 printers here, but there is a Laserjet 1000 driver available in the RTM version of Windows 7 (or perhaps through WIndows Update).

  • Problem Laserjet 1000 with Windows Vista 32 bit

Good morning. I have a laserjet 1000 connected to the USB port on another computer with windows xp and shared. I have to connect it to another pc with windows vista pc with ip address. Install the printer but does not work. I used the driver for win xp as I read on several forums but it does not work. What kind of driver should I use ?
Can you give me some advice ?

If your model is lacking the correct Vista drivers from Lenovo and Vista doesn't offer native support then I see upgrading to Windows 7 as your only option.  Here is a link to what Lenovo drivers are available.......

  • I'm trying to install an HP LaserJet 1000 series printer so all systems on my network can access it.

Topography:  All systems are Windows XP.  Wireless network.  Printer is physically attached to one of the XP systems, and printing from that system works as expected.  Trying to add this printer via the "Add Printer" fails.
In "Add Printer", selecting "A Network Printer, or a printer attached to another computer"; press "Next"
On "Next" panel, selected "Browse for a printer", press "next"
On "Next panel", this printer I am looking for "\\host\printername" appears (along with other printers attached to other hosts"; press "Next"
On "Next panel", get popup "You are about to connect to a printer on host, which will automatically installa print driver on your machine.  Printer drivers may contain viruses or scripts that can be harmful to your computer.  It is important to be certain that the computer sharing this printer is trustworthy.  Would you like to continue?"
Select "yes". Get a popup "The server for the "hp Laser Jet 1000" printer does not have the correct printer driver installed.  If you want to search for the proper driver, click OK.  Otherwise, click Cancel and contact your network administrator (that's me) or original equipment manufacturer for the correct printer driver."
Select "OK".  Get a popup box titled "File needed: printer driver INF for hp LaserJet 1000"  Box has input for typing the path where the file is located."
And ... I'm stuck.  :-(    I have no idea what it's looking for, or where it should be found.
The printer itself was a hand-me-down, so it's not like there's any real $$ involved in this; and I could always instll the printer directly on the system that will be using it most, but I'd really like to have it on my network.  Did not receive any original CDs or publications.  The installation file that I used, which I presume installed the driver was down loaded from this site, filename "lj1000hostbased-en-exe"
Any good advice on how to get this printer (it's a VERY nice printer, by the way ... prints wonderfully from the host it's actually attached to) onto my network for remote printing?
    Thanks, in advance!
Update w/ additional possibly useful information:  The HP Print and Scan Doctor does NOT see this printer at all. however the add printer dialog does.  I don't know if that's useful or not, but it is what it is.
    Thanks in advance again!
    Phil

    Hi,
How do you connect the printer to the XP machine ? If USB, you need to make that machine as a Print server. Please try this:

  • Unable to print to HP LaserJet 1000 via Print Server

    I have a HP LaserJet 1000, TP-Link TL-PS110U (USB, Ethernet Print Server), TP-Link Modem Router (TD-W8961ND - 300Mbs Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem Router)
    Operating System: Vista Home Edition
I can ping the Print Server (IP address: 192.168.1.110) from the laptop wirelessly.
I can print directly to the printer via the laptop when connected via the USB cable.
However, I get an error message in the job queue when trying to print wirelessly. I have contacted TP-Link for their input, however, they do not seem to be able to resolve the problem.
Can you please confirm is there is a compatibility issue. If it is compatible, could you please suggest how this should be set up?
(By the way, when I tried to download the HP Print and Scan Doctor, I got a 403 error message from http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=uk&lc=en&jumpid=ex_r4155/hho/ipg/ccdoc/p...
    Kind regards
    Jools1964

    Hi Jools1964,
The HP Laserjet 1000 is an Host-Based printer, as listed on TP-Link's compatibility guide the print server only support the PCL or Post-Script printing languages, therefore the HP Laserjet 1000 is incompatible wit the print server:
    http://www.tp-link.com/resources/document/TL-PS110U_Compatibility_List_2.pdf
PCL and PS are supported by our print servers. If the printer is not on the list, please check the
printing language by yourself. If it is PCL or PS, it should be compatible with our print server. If
not, it is more probably incompatible.
As you may find listed within the printer specification it is a Host-Based printer:
    http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/learnUseDisplay/?sp4ts.oid=45674...
Printer languages: Windows host-based printer command language
