HP LaserJet 4 Power

Hi,
I have a HP Laserjet 4 and I moved to Thailand.  First question is what is the wattage on this unit so i can get a power converter to use it?  Second can this run on 220V from 110V purchased in America?  Or does it need to have the power supply changed out and is that expensive?
Thanks,
Gibs

Yes I have, always the same error - please look at my first post.
I'm not sure if this is related to upgrade to 10.4.8, I updated from 10.4.7 to 10.4.8 at the same time the printed was switched to LaserJet 4250. To find out, I'm planning to grab a vacant Mac mini and test with Mac OS X 10.3.9 and then try 10.4.
A little Googling releaved the same error "PID XXXXX stopped with status 1!" shows that people have had the same problem with some Linux distros (Fedora, Ubuntu) - even with inkjet printers. Unfortunately the CUPS logs are not verbose enough to give details about what goes wrong. Apple documentatiion does not indicate CUPS was changed with 10.4.8 Update.
On the other hand, I discoved all the other printers on the server use WinPrint as printing engine but HP 4250 used HPZPP3zw. Default data type was RAW with both engines. But changing it to WinPrint had no effect.

  • Power requirements of HP LaserJet Pro P1606dn Printer

    Hello,
I had bought this printer from USA and brought it to India.
Now I've a question that whether this printer will work with a 240v of power input ??
    Cause in USA HP website it is mentioned that it will work with a 110-volt input voltage: 110 to 127 VAC (+/- 10%), 60 Hz (+/- 2 Hz), 7 A; 220-volt input voltage: 220 to 240 VAC (+/- 10%), 50 Hz (+/- 2 Hz), 4 A
It can be seen over here : http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Printers/HP-LaserJet/CE749A?HP-LaserJet-Pro-...
In India's Product page also it is mentioned same.It can be seen over here : http://www8.hp.com/in/en/products/printers/product-detail.html?oid=4110411#!tab%3Dspecs
Moreover on the back of the printer power requirements are given 110-127V ~AC.The pic of it can be seen over here: http://www.storemyfile.org/getfile.php?id=5724&key=4e7b6c045
So I'm in dilemma that whether this printer is a multivoltage printer (i.e. 110v to 220v) or not?
Pls. give me clarification about this so that I can start using the Printer ASAP.
    Thanks

Welcome to the HP Forums RockmihiR91,
I read your post and see that you would like to know if the printer supports 240v.
I can help you with this.
Yes, you can use the printer on the 240v, but you will need a power outlet adapter and you will need
the adapter so it will fit the receptacle and converter.
It is not internally on the printer.
    Hope this helps.
    Have a wonderful day!
    Thank You.

  • HP Laserjet PRO M201dw-- Power ON Light

So this is a neat LaserJet and replacement for my HP LJ 1020.  (BTW: Anyone in NYC, Manhattan, LES, want a used HP LJ1020; it has plenty of toner.  Printer Cost to you: $5.00)
The Power Light (on) is extremely bright and when I darken the room at night it can light up the whole room.
Is there a way, short of turning off the power altogether to dim that light?
Some TV's and other appliances have that capability, and I would appreciate any reader or HP tech person offering guidance as to how to do this.
I checked the control panel and did not find any particular step to accomplish this.  Perhaps a firmware update can make this so?
If there is a step, please be as detailed as possible insofar as to how to accomplish dimming this POWER ON light.
    Thanks in advance.

  • My hp laserjet m2727nf will not work until i shut off power and power back on.

My laserjet will not work until i power off then power on after every printing job. It first started happening over the weekend when it sat idle for 2 days. Then it was once a day and now every time i need to print. What could be the problem?

So i didn't read anything about the suggestion about the configuration report?
I would recommand turning off wireless (if it has it), unplugging usb, unplugging network cable, unplugging fax cable. Then i would reboot the printer go to the Menu and in Reports try to print a "Configuration Report".
If it still doesn't print i would unfortunately then may be try resetting it back to factory default. perhaps there is some setting that is causing this issue. Also causes printer to fully reinitialize itself. There should be a button in the menu and setup to set back to defaults.
Let me know if any of that helps and what the results of trying to print an internal report are.

  • HP Laserjet Pro 300 won't power up fully

I've had an HP Laserjet Pro 300 for 4 months and I haven't had any issues until today.
I ran a few scans without issue and then in the middle of a scan, it just quit scanning. It seems to have lost connectivity.
I shut the printer down and attempted to re-boot it. It started booting then it quit shortly afterward and didn't finish booting. The power is up but it doesn't load fully.
I have tried rebooting the computer connected to the printer and I have unplugged the power cord and printer connection and attempted to re-boot the printer several times but it has been the same result for a couple of hours.
I also unplugged the printer for over an hour in case it was simply overheating but it wouldn't re-boot after that either.
    Any suggestions?

This is as far as it loads.

  • Color Laserjet 2605dn power cycles when receiving a print job

Very recently my Laserjet 2605dn color printer has been power cycling when it receives a print job.    At first it was when it received large pdf files.   But now it does it more often.   I download and reinstalled the HP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. 3.15.4) and the printer now resets everytime I try to do a network discovery for the device.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to what board might be at fault ?   Has anyone hear do fthis issue ?
    Thanks

There are a couple of reasons that could be happening. It could have something to do with the connection, or perhaps the program you're printing from. Try to go to the link I'm including below and follow the steps there, and hopefully this will help you resolve your issue.

  • My HP LaserJet Pro M251nw has no power

Went out of town for two days and came back to a dead printer.  Checked the cord and it is OK.  Not a happy camper because this printer is only 6 months old and I have a set of new toner cartrages.  Not happy at all.  Do these things have a reset or fuse?

    Hi,
First I suggest trying a differnt wall socket, ensure it is directly connected and not through any power strips, etc, as well as going through the steps below to troubleshoot a such:
    http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-LaserJet-Pro-200-color-Printer-M251nw/5097632/model/5097639/d...
Other than that, as the printer is 6 months old I suggest contacting HP to service the printer.
You may find the contact details by selecting your country and selecting Phone support below:

  • Need step by step directions to install a replacement Power Supply for a HP Color LaserJet 1215

I have a HP Color LaserJet 1215 printer that is only a couple of years old.  Had a power problem at home that burnt out the power supplies of two HP Towers, a DSL Modem, and (I think) the power supply of my printer.  I have located a replacement power supply but would sure appreciate any one that would know how to replace.  I need a step by step guide aas to how to perform such a task.
It would also help to have a diagram of the printer showing precisely how to get to the power supply.
Thanks in advance for any and all help.  I have spent days looking for this information and can't seem to find any.

How do I start using the reciept scanner

  • LaserJet P2015d seems to lose connection with computer; I have to power cycle the printer

I purchased the LaserJet P2015D in March 2008 and have been pleased with it.  However in the last several weeks it seems that my computer "loses" it, like it is not connected.  I issue the print commance from my computer, I see the document in the printer cache, but it never goes to the printer.  I can fix this by power cycling the printer, i.e., unplugging it and plugging it back in.  After this, the cached document gets released and printed.  This works most of the time.  Sometimes I have to delete the cached document and re-issue the print  command.  My computer will see the printer for an hour or two and then I have to apply the  fix again.  And then in the last couple of days the toner warning light has come on constantly, and I'm pretty sure the toner cartridge is not empty.  The print quality remains good.
I suspect a hardware problem, like a component (capacitor?) has failed.  Are spare parts available and how can I buy them?  Can anyone recommend specifically what parts might be needed?

question answered on a different part of the boards

  • HP Color LaserJet 2600n - Can you swap the power supplies from 110v to 240v?

Recently got two Color LaserJet 2600n's from a friend, one isn't in good condition and the other is like new although it has a 110v power supply where as the other has a 240v.  Can I swap the power supplies so it works on 240v and it work okay?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Or is it possible to get an adaptor/transformer?

  • HP LaserJet 1102w printer settings on WRT54G2-V1 lost after power is turned off

I have installed the HP drivers for  my HP LaserJet 1102w printer on my Windows 7 (64 bit)  Professeional and Windows XP laptops. They both print fine over the network using the WRT54G2-V1 router immediately after installing the drivers. However after shutting down either the computers or printer the settings are lost and the printer willl not work unless the drivers are reloaded.
In talking with HP support they are telling me this printer is not compatible with the router, which I find hard to believe given most backward compatibility built into printers today and the fact it initially works before it is shut off. Can anyone offer some suggestions on how to configure my router to support the printer or verify if the information I received from HP support is valid.
    Thanks!

The trick is to set the printer's IP Address manually so has a static IP address. See the user manual for the printer (I think this may be the user manual for the OP's printer). If so see page 28 for how to set the IP Address to manual on the printer.
    IP address
The product IP address can be set manually, or it can be configured automatically using DHCP, BootP,
    or AutoIP.
To change the IP address manually, use the HP Embedded Web Server.
    1. Open the HP Embedded Web Server, and then click the Networking tab.
    2. In the navigation pane, click the IPv4 Configuration link or the IPv6 Configuration link.
    3. In the IP Address Configuration section, click the Manual IP option.
    4. Type the required data in the Manual IP Address box, the IP Subnet Mask box, and the Manual
    Deault Gateway box.
    5. Click the Apply button.
You will need to set the IP address for the printer outside of the range the router's DHCP server has reserved and hands out to clients. For example if the router is configured to use it's default IP address of 192.168.1.100 with 50 client addresses reserved, try setting the printer to 192.168.1.200 and the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0. If the printer drivers were previously installed and configured they will either need to be removed and reninstalled so they use the new printer IP address, or reconfigured so they point to the new IP address of the printer.

Havent used this device in about a year,  went to power it up today,  pushed the power button, it flashes white and there is a red X on the screen that also just flashes for about a second.   Have unplugged, have disconnected USB,  have changed outlets................Help?

    Hi @AlteredRose ,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with powering on the printer. I would like to help out.
I have provided a document with some steps to try to see if that will resolve the issue.
The Printer Will Not Turn On or Respond When the Power Button or Power Switch is Pressed.
Disregard the title. A monitor's power cord is the same size as the printers to try. Just to rule that out.

  • Power was turned off on my devices, iMac, HP Laserjet P1505 - Can't print!

    Hi all,
I can't print anymore after turning off all the power to my devices – the printer is plugged into the USB, the iMac see's the printer but when it goes to print the printer flashes the alert lite for a second and then the printer dialogue box just tells me 'sending print data...' has been up there for an hour...
I have reset the printing system and re-installed the printer and no luck! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
    Thanks!

    Hi Tom,
If the printer is less then a year old, you might want to call 1-800-HP invent (800-474-6836), witch is hp phone support hotline.
One thing you may want to try, is try to get your printer to print out it's self test page. Some times the printer will print out instructions, such as place the printed test page onto the scanner and press the scan button.
It would be helpful to know what model of printer you have.
