HP laserjet 4000n prints job only once

I have this laserjet 4000n connected to a SBS2008r2.
If i send a job to this printer, I can ask it to print 1, 10 or 1000 times the job, but it will only print once.
After that the que is gone.
I suspect the driver. I use the universal PCL5 driver.
Anyone have an idea?
Wim

People who need to SCAN & PRINT without a compatible Lion driver from their manufacturer can use Apple's very basic "PRINT & SCAN" utility in System Preferences:
Click the Apple menu ( ), and then click System Preferences .
Click Print & Scan ( ).
Click Scan , and then click Open Scanner .
Click Show Details . The details of the scan display, including options to modify scan settings such as output type.Figure 2: Example of the Show Details scanning screen
Change any settings as necessary, and then click Scan .
The next window looks like this:
Hope this helps

  • HP LaserJet 1020 print jobs sticking in spool.

    Hi Guys,
    I have a problem were as I have a HP LaserJet 1020 setup as a share printer on a pc; my problem is that when 2 particular pcs send print jobs to the printer they actually get stuck in the spool, it is not a case of the spool service crashing just that these documents would not print or delete, unless the spool service is restated on the machine the drivers are installed on, and in some cases that does not even work, and the machine it self has to be restarted.
    I tried installing the printer on another machine and get the same problem from only these particular machines, for the time being those users are not allowed to print, but this cannot be along term soloution, can anyone help me with this situation urgently.
    Strangely enough the printer was installed and workinf perfectly on one of thes machines before the machine was moved out of the department then back.
    Thanks.
    Rico,
    P.S. Oh all the machines are XP machines.
    I tried downloading the drivers from the website and that did not help.

    A batch file was created to restart the spooling service when this happens, but as stated earlier this is not a permanent fix.

  • My HP Color Laserjet CP3525dn printer is only printing parts of my document in colour.

    Hi All
    I am having a problem with the office HP Color Laserjet CP3525dn printer.  I am a novice and the tech guy we use is on holidays!  We are using windows 7 with hardwired connection.  The problem is that it is only printing some parts of my documents in colour.  Some documents are being printed completely in B & W!  Any ideas?  Thanks

  • After my Modzilla update print jobs only have a blank gray page when looked at in preview and blank when printed

    I accepted a update from Modzilla yesterday. After which I had no print abilities. In the preview area it is just blank and when printed the pages are just blank. I had to go back to Internet Explorer to print my work-- it printed fine so it isn't the printer.

    Try the '''''reset''''' described here: <br />

  • I need driver for laserjet 4000n windows 7 64 bit

    When I try to install my Laserjet 4000N printer on my HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC running windows 7 64 bit I am prompted to select windows update. The response is always "Windows was unabl;e to get a list of devices from Windows update. Try again later"
    When I go to the HP site and try to download the driver i get a message "You do not need to download drivers for this product. Print drivers for your product are available within the Windows 7 operating system. Use Devices and Printers, formerly known as the Add Printer Wizard, to obtain the Windows 7 update. For more information,  go to Install the Printer Driver through the Windows 7 Operating System"
    A perfect Catch 22. What do I do now?

  • 7510 e printer looses wifi connection after each print job;

    7510 e printer looses the wifi connection after each print job; only switching wifi off and back on at the printer touch screen makes it reconnect. Tried more or less everything, including downloading updated software for the printer. Wifi router (unfortunately) is provided by internet provider. WPA2.

    It sounds like the printer may have an unstable wireless connection.
    What brand and model is the router?
    Have you tried setting a static IP address?  I recommend setting a static IP address as it can resolve a lot of networking issues with printers in general.
    The steps to do this are located in step 6 of this document from HP.

  • How can I create a one time cron schedule that would execute only once in C#?

    I have used cron schedule in C# to create an application that should trigger a job only once. This code piece is throwing an exception, An unhandled exception of type 'Quartz.SchedulerException' occurred in Quartz.dll
    Below is my code:
    class Program
    static void Main(string[] args)
    Test();
    public static void Test()
    ISchedulerFactory schedulerFactory = new StdSchedulerFactory();
    IScheduler scheduler = schedulerFactory.GetScheduler();
    IJobDetail jobDetail = JobBuilder.Create<SatellitePaymentGenerationJob>()
    .WithIdentity("TestJob")
    .Build();
    Console.WriteLine(DateBuilder.DateOf(16, 30, 00, 24, 2, 2015));
    //ITrigger trigger = TriggerBuilder.Create()
    // .ForJob(jobDetail)
    // .WithCronSchedule("0 0 12 20 4 ? *")
    // .WithIdentity("TestTrigger")
    // .StartNow()
    // .Build();
    ITrigger trigger = TriggerBuilder.Create()
    .WithDescription("Once")
    .WithSimpleSchedule(x => x.RepeatForever().WithRepeatCount(1))
    .StartAt(DateBuilder.DateOf(12, 43, 00, 26, 2, 2015))
    .Build();
    scheduler.ScheduleJob(jobDetail, trigger);
    scheduler.Start();
    internal class SatellitePaymentGenerationJob : IJob
    public void Execute(IJobExecutionContext context)
    Console.WriteLine("test");
    I believe that the way I have done scheduling to be execute only once is causing the issue. Please advice.
    mayooran99

    Hi mayooran99,
    From the additional information: Repeat Interval cannot be zero. The screenshot
    as below.
    You should specify a repeat interval in seconds.
    Please try the following code
    ITrigger triggers = TriggerBuilder.Create()
    .WithDescription("Once")
    .WithSimpleSchedule(x => x
    .WithIntervalInSeconds(20)
    .RepeatForever())
    .StartAt(DateBuilder.DateOf(12, 43, 00, 26, 2, 2015))
    .Build();
    Have a nice day!

  • Hp laserjet 5550n forgets jobs, can only print one copy of a doc at a time

    We're using a Laserjet 5550n in a small office running Mac OS X 10.3.9 to 10.4.6.
    We're encountering countless problems when trying to print, and I'm pretty sure I've ruled out the computer setup as the culprit (reset printing system, emptied CUPS caches, repaired permissions, used 'printer setup repair', etc ).
    Whenever I try to print multiple copies of the same page it says
    *Unable to store job at printer
    *Insufficient disk space for this job'
    However, storing jobs is switched off anyway!
    Another huge problem is that the printer simply 'forgets' large printing jobs. CUPS (at http://127.0.0.1:631) says "printer processing, "Ready to print."", and then just goes back to 'idle'.
    When you expect the printed pages to come out nothing happens, and the printer hasn't even started blinking.
    We've had this printer for 16 months now, and the problems started just when the warranty had run out.
    The 5550n has no additional memory than what it came with
    DIMM Slot : 128 MB DDR
    DIMM Slot 2: Empty
    CARD SLOT 1: 32 MB F/W FLASH
    I've tried upgrading the firmware to the latest version (20060403 07.009.0), to no avail.
    Is there a more detailed log somewhere that I could try looking at to figure out what's going on? The printer web interface Event Log is useless without more detailed explanation.
    The printer doesn't give any error messages (though at some point in the past it did say things like "card slot not initalized" or "49.xxxx PRINTER ERROR". I then reinitialised the memory I think ( the 49.xxx error disappeared after that).
    I read somewhere about bad RAM or corrupted flash memory. Is there a way to find out if that's the cause?
    Many thanks for any ideas.

  • Why does my Laserjet 2055dn only print the first page of a print job?

    In our domain, we have a number of 2055dn printers that act up on intermittent bases.  At times, they function properly, but other times they will only print the first page of a print job.  Our domain has only HP printers so there should be no conflict with drivers.  My solution has been to delete the printer on the local machine and then to reinstall them after reboot.  That has helped at times.  In other cases, I have installed the printer only on the local machine and not the copy on my printer server.
    I have updated the print drivers, on the server and on the local machines.  I have changed drivers to PS, to PCL 5 and to PCL 6.
    This only seems to occur in one of my three buildings that house this model of printer.  I have even done firmware upgrades on the printers.
    I appreciate any help that I can get on this continuing problem.  Thanks much.

    Then use the latest solution!
    Which doesn't need specifying either.

  • HP Laserjet utility starts and fails to go away after print job

    I have an HP Laserjet 1300 hooked to an Airport base station. After the Leopard install (a default, Upgrade install from 10.4.10), I had to re-ADD that printer in the Print & FAX Preferences panel -- it wasn't simply remembered. That went fine, and printing works as expected.
    EXCEPT: The HP Laserjet 1300 "utility" application (for managing the print queue) now activates with each print job -- not just when there is a problem such as "out of paper" as before. No problems are actually reported during or after the print job. And when the print job finishes, it doesn't go away. I have to manually Quit it.
    I can't find any option to have the "utility" activate only when it has some problem to report (i.e., the way it worked under Tiger), or to make it go away automatically when all print jobs are finished. Any suggestions?
    NOTE: When ADDing the printer in the Print & FAX utility, it did go looking for "new drivers", but didn't announce it found or installed anything new.

    Thank you. That's what I was looking for:
    Right click on the printer utility icon in the dock when you see it still sitting in there. Select "Auto Quit" from the pop up menu. Click on the utility to select it and open its queue window. Manually quit the utility.
    After those steps it appears the utility now activates in the dock and then goes away after each print job that finishes normally.

  • Unable to print to a network printer, HP LaserJet 4000n

    After much frustrating going in circles, I finally installed the software for my network printer, an HP LaserJet 4000n, otherwise idetified on my 4 other PCs as HP LaserJet 4000 PCL 6.  It works well on the others, including an HP Netbook with Windows 7 Starter.
    I finally got the printer to show up as HP Universal Printing PCL 6.  I can set the Properties from my wife's new HP G72-B60US, running Windows 7 Home Premium (64 Bit).  I can click on "Print Test Page,"  and I get the message that it was sent to the printer.  However, it doesn't print.  I get an "Error - Printing" message.  I tried using the Windows assistant, but couldn't get any results.

    To work around this issue, you can click to clear the Render print jobs on client computers check box on the Sharing tab of the Printer Properties dialog box for the printer.
    I posted on a Microsoft forum, and received a reply from an MS tech.  Tried all his suggestions to no avail.  My printer is attached to a desktop PC running Windows XP Professional.  Do I need to install some kind of Windows 7 driver on the server?

  • Hp laserjet 3500 printing only one page

    My HP Color Laserjet 3500 is printing but it only prints multiple pages of the first page of my document jobs.  It doesn't matter how many pages in the print job, it only prints multiple copies of just the first page of the job.  Even if it's just one page of a document, it still prints multiple pages of that document even when it set at 1 of 1 on the settings page.  Any suggestions???

    Try a reset of the printing system. This will remove the printer from Print & Scan but not the supporting driver, so you will just to have to add the printer again.
