HP Laserjet 8150dn Web Admin Password

I cannot for the life of me figure out what the admin password is for this printer. I did a cold reset which cleared the SNMP community name but it still asks me for a password (see picture). After 30 minutes of guessing every possible password I figured I'd try here before asking the client if they'd like to pay $39 for HP tech support to fix this. Thanks so much in advance for you help!

any solution ???

  • CAS admin password recovery

I am looking for help doing a password reset for the web admin password for a CAS server, I have the root password and can login into the CLI fine, but I can not access the web interface.

The simplest solution is to rerun 'service perfigo config' from the shell prompt. Take care not to change any settings but the admin password.

Hey ,  Welcome to the HP Support Forum.  I see that you're locked out of your HP LaserJet Pro 200 color Printer M251n's Embedded Web Server (EWS).  I would like to help. There is only one way to remedy this issue.  I will private message you the steps to complete a reset that will ideally clear out the password.  Note that completing this step will reset your printer's wireless configuration, ePrint address, and other customized printer settings. If you have created a custom @hpeprint.com address it will be permanently erased. For more information on custom ePrint addresses, click here.   Let me know if this works out for you. I f I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below and clicking to accept this solution. Thanks for reaching out.  Have a great day!

  • SG 300 web admin interface does not display properly

Went to log into the web admin interface on my SG-300 today and I get this in both IE and Firefox:
I'm not able to login by typing user/password and just pressing enter. I've tried power-cycling the switch, and this didn't help, however, since the power cycle, the font-panel system LED has been blinking green. I seem to recall, though I can't locate the reference now, that this means the switch is running with factory settings, but that cannot be right because:
    1. I had previously saved a new configuration on the switch, which it should be using now.
    2. It is answering on the configured non-factory IP address -- just not rendering the web admin interface successfully.
I've had this unit for approximately a month. This is not the first issue I have had with this unit (see:
https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3486734) and I'm experiencing some strange LAN speed issues since I installed it. Do I need to RMA this thing?

    Hi Lamont
There was a issue and work around for a issue with IE in the release notes, it may be relevant to you.

Problem: Some WEB GUI pages require full version compatibility of JRE, Browser and JRE-Browser applets. For XML compatibility reasons, MSXML DLL Version 6 is required for IE browser users.

This may or may not be relevant to you.  I would like to think that you are using 1.1.1.8 ?

  • Problem to get Web admin access on cisco ISE

    Hi,
We are currently having problems to access via Web admin UI to cisco ISE. after we put the password, we get this message on screen:
authentication failed due to zero RBAC group.
The ISE version that we are using is: 1.1.2.145 path 3
Do you have any idea about that?
Thank you for your attention on this matter.
    Regards.

In Cisco ISE, RBAC policies are simple access  control policies that use RBAC concepts to manage admin access. These  RBAC policies are formulated to grant permissions to a set of  administrators that belong to one or more admin group(s) that restrict  or enable access to perform various administrative functions using the  user interface menus and admin group data elements. I think there is problem with your RBAC policy configuration. Please follow the below link for help.

  • Unity Connection 8.5.1 ES 16 web admin account recovery

    Hello,
I have a client with a Unity Connection 8.5.1 ES16 version and they lost access to the Unity Admin web page.
I tried the steps to recover the password but it is failing, and the account doesn't seem to exist anymore.. I did a SQL query I found on another post here and it did not list this account anymore in the nonsubscriber querry, I also tried the utils cuc reset password command on the account several times with several passwords that matched the password criteria and they always failed resetting the password.
So I found another post and it had other query to use nonsubscriber account and use that, I managed o log in to the unity admin page with account called "UnityConnection" but it saids "Not Authorized" for all functions.
How do I add rights to the UnityConnection user or create another web admin account from SSH/CLI? I'm thinking I need to engage TAC in the morning and have them gain root access to fix this up. I did find a few bug ids on this but the workarounds don't work either and those were for 7.1.x.
    Thanks, Erick

I was hoping not to have a Nested ESXi setup, initially I started to setup my Lab machine as a Bare Metal ESXi host, the free ESXi vsphere client has a 6 Core Limit per CPU and I have 2 CPU's with 8 Core's each and was not happy to lose 2 Cores per CPU as a limitation, so I read up and tried ESXi 5.0 which really messed up things for me, after ESXi 5.0 install My system started to act up and would boot up and sit at a Blinking Cursor forever, spent a week researching and gave up when I tried installing 4.1 again only to find out 4.1 would work either ! sucked real bad and I guess I just decided to give Workstation a try, minor glitches, But I will give it a try and setup a nested ESXi within my workstation, I know it has something to do with the OVA template and the Hardware specs that Unity Connection looks for, crazy thing is Unity Connection Works right now, I just have to start Tomcat manually everytime I boot up my lab system. Will keep looking for answers will I try the nested setup - Thanks Matt

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I noticed that you need to reset the Admin password to your HP Officejet 4630 printer. I am happy to look into this for you! I would recommend to restore the network settings to the default settings: Press the Wireless button to access the Wireless Status
menu.Press the button next to Settings to access the Wireless
Settings menu.Select Restore Defaults.Confirm the selection to restore defaults. You should then be able to login in with username: admin and the password is left blank. For future reference, here, is your printer's user guide. Hope this information is helpful, and thank you for posting!  “Please click the Thumbs up icon below to thank me for responding.”

  • Installing Java SE 6 runtime without admin password

I work for a school district which uses JAMF's Casper suite to manage our Macs. We recently received a new shipment of mbp's which have been updated to 10.8.4. With Casper we are able to push out software packages without any end user involvement. This is especially convenient so we don't have to input the admin password with each install. We use a couple of Java based applications as well as Java enabled web sites for education. Problem is I can install JDK 7 Update 25.pkg which takes care of viewing webistes but when I attempt to open our Java desktop apps it asks if I want to install Java SE 6 runtime which requires an admin password. I've tried installing Java 6 from Apple's download page but when I attempt installing it says I must be running 10.6.x. Is there any way of installing runtime without an admin password and where might I find the runtime package. Sorry for the lengthy explanation. Thanks.

    JDK 7 Update 25.pkg
That is the newest Java so you shouldn't need Java SE 6.

  • ISE 1.x Web Admin

I have a ISE 1.1 demo virtual appliance that we are testing. The web admin account has been locked. How can I reset it or add another admin user to login with?  I have the CLI admin account but don't see a why to affect the web users.

You can also disable this feature here - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ise/1.1.1/user_guide/ise_man_identities.html#wp1113177
When you select the password policies this option to disable the age will be there.

  • Cisco connect software wants to match the admin password to cisco connect password?

As much as possible i want only one SSID for my router, so i dont want to have another SSID for guest. To protect my router
settings I need to have a different admin password from those of passphrase (i.e. wifi password).
Why is it that cisco connect software wants to match the admin password to cisco connect password?
The cisco connect password is the same as the passphrase. I think its unsafe to have similar passes for both admin password
    and passphrase.
Is there any way that cisco connect software would work under different admin password & passphrase?

From what I can tell, the router is set up so that it broadcasts two seperate SSID's with two unique passwords.  If you logon to the SSID-Guest network, you are not allowed any kind of Admin access to the router.  If you attempt to use the Cisco Connect software, you'll eventually get an error saying that it could not find a network (unless there is an unconfigured router running factory defaults in range).  I verified this using a Cisco Linksys E4200 and a few laptops.
So long as you utilize the guest network properly, you should be able to maintain security on your network and use Cisco Connect.  Obviously this isn't ideal for most commercial use, but then again I don't know why you would want to use this software on that scale.
If you are trying to keep one SSID for the network, I think you're going to have to use the web based service and do a little manual configuration.
TLDR:  Seta different password for the guest network and never give out the primary network password.  Guests don't have admin access, even while using Cisco Connect so long as they are connected to the -Guest SSID.

  • DS6, Admin password recovery

Managed to misplace our "admin" password for logging into DSCC web interface. Is there a way to recover it?
I searched the forum and someone said that it is a security violation. I understand that. But I also believe that there are legitimate reasons for password recovery. The whole process can be secured so that it is not trivial and requires certain knowledge to ensure proper use, such as physical access to the server etc.
    Thanks,

Do you have your password for cn=Directory Manager?
If so, you can bind as Directory Manager, and overwrite (reset) the userPassword attribute for any entry you like.
You can also manually edit dse.ldif to change the password for cn=admin,cn=Administrators,cn=config or cn=Directory Manager:
    - Stop your directory server.
    - Make a backup copy of your dse.ldif file.
    - Edit dse.ldif and change the userPassword attribute on cn=admin,cn=Administrators,cn=config. Or, for cn=Directory Manager, change the nsslapd-rootpw attribute. You can use cleartext for the password temporarily, but remember to change it again later via an LDAP connection, so it will be hashed.
    - Restart the server.

  • Robohelp 7 Web Admin

    Hello,
I'm new to Robohelp 7 and I'm having a simply issue that I
can't seem to figure out. I'm running Robohelp 7 Server on Windows
XP Pro with IIS. The Robohelp 7 Server install was a success but
when I try to login to the web admin page, it asks for a username
    and password.
During the installation of the Robohelp 7 Server, it never
give me the options of what username and password to configure.
Can anyone tell me how-to login to the web admin or tell me
    where to change the values.
Another issue I'm having is in the Robohelp HTML editor. I'm
trying to connect to the server which is installed on the same
machine and it's giving me "Connection to Server Failed".
Can anyone tell me where to set the configuration or how to

  • Admin password not working

My hp laserjet 1300 printer suddenly stopped working - I would push print and nothing would happen, seems the printer wasn't recognized though it was listed as an available printer.
I downloaded drivers for it from hp's site, but now when I try to install the drivers and I'm asked for the password to install, it tells me "the software to be installed requires administrator or higher level access privileges."
But I AM the administrator, and there is no other on this mac!
I went to NetInfo Manager and tried to begin the process for logging in as root. It won't accept my admin password there either to enable root.
However, I have just tried a software update, and my password was accepted just fine.
Anybody have a clue what I can do?
Thanks! (I'll be checking back tomorrow night)

Insert your install DVD and reboot while holding down the C key. After you pick your language, search the menus for a Reset Password option.
Suggestion: Never, never, NEVER let young children have unsupervised access to your user account! Give them their own user account (non-admin) to play in instead. Non-admin users can do nothing to screw up anything outside their own home folders.

  • How to reload the WRT160N through the web admin interface?

I see no way to do this, which is strange. Is there a way to reset through the web admin page or did Cisco gaffe on this? Thanks!

Open an Internet Explorer browser page.In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1
Leave the username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
Click on "Administration" tab and click on Factory Defaults subtab and select Restore All Settings, this should reset your router to Factory Defaults...
Also you have a reset button next to the power cable, Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

  • "admin" password rejected during installation

I've downloaded Mavericks on my iMac running SL but my admin password is not recognized when I hit install.  Same PW works fine on other admin tasks (like upgrading applications or opening keychain).  Suggestions?

In a communication with Adobe Support regarding this matter, they pointed out to this Knowledge Base page which worked for us… http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/disable-auto-updates-application-manager.html
The only thing my client need to administer the solution pointed on the web page for each Mac which is inconvenient to them. See this is a college, they clone a master Mac onto each Mac in the Lab, hence this problem will occur on every one of them.
Their solution was to start with a clean Mac, install InDesign and update DPS desktop tools, then they cloned it once they made sure all works fine.
    Thanks for your input guys.
