HP LaserJet CP1525nw drivers

I'm trying to install the 64 and 32 bit driver for the HP laserjet 1525 printer on a server. I can get to the page where the download is found, I extract the files and put them on the desktop of the server. When I go through the wizard in windows server 2008r2 to add the driver, I point to the folder where the driver was extracted, after digging through the folders, I cannot find the driver, or the .inf file. What am i doing wrong? Is HP providing the proper drivers for this printer on the website? Operating system is windows 7 64 and 32 bit. I was able to install the printer on the 2008 r2 server by allowing windows updates to install the driver. I want to add the 32 bit driver, and I also would like to update the 64 bit driver with the latest one from HP. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

hi . I had the simalar  problems of my HP b209a-m printer not being seen on my wireless network> I could not add the printer and could not get the printer to join my network,  I found this post at HP discussion and it worked!
Each printer has different options/settings but it seems like the general idea should work ok if you can reset printer back to factory settings and find Printer IP Adress.
This is for HP printers
1. On the printer navigate to the Wireless or Network menu.
2. Select Restore Defaults.
3. On your computer look for a wireless network named 'hpsetup' and connect to it.
4. Print a Wireless Network Test from the front of the printer to see its IP address. (on my b209a-m Printer the IP info was found by pressing the Wireless Icon)
5. Type the IP address into the address bar of a web browser to see the printer's internal settings.
6. Click on the Network tab and look for the Wireless Setup Wizard and run it.
7. The Passphrase is the password you use on your wireless connection.
8. Now change the network name on your computer back to your wireless network.
The printer will now be connected to your network.  With your the computer backyour wireless network network, you can re-add the printer from System Preferences.
Hope this works--- it did for me.

  • Color laserjet CP1525nw won't print in color

I installed both the PCL6 and PostScript drivers on my Surface Pro 3 to print to my Color LaserJet CP1525nw.  The printer is connected to my router.  The printer prints but only in grayscale.  What can I do to be able to print in color and continute to print through my router?

    Hi @PaDunc ,
I see that you are experiencing issues printing in color from the printer connected to the router. I would be happy to help you.
Please clarify, if the printer is connected to the router by a ethernet or USB cable?
Did you install just the Universal Print Drivers or did you try the Full Feature Software also?
I would recommend the Full Feature Software if that isn't one of the drivers you have already tried.
Try and print the Supplies Status page to see if you have color, just to rule out a hardware issue.
Printing or Viewing the Supplies Status Page.
Make sure the greyscale option isn't enabled in the print driver.
    1. From Devices and Printers, right click your printer.
    2. Then click the Printer Properties, Preferences button.
    3. Click the Color tab.
    4. Make sure Print in Grayscale isn't checked.
    Did the colors print?
    What are the toner levels?
Are you using Genuine HP Toner?
Try these steps in this document, to see if it will resolve the issue.

  • Is driver for OSX 10.10 Yosemite available Laserjet CP1525nw?

I am getting ready to update my computers to OSX 10.10 but noticed that the latest available driver is for OSX 10.9 Mavericks.  Will the Mavericks driver work with Yosemite?  If not, will a new driver be released, and if so, how soon?
    Thanks--

    @rain007
Great question regarding the different naming conviention between the HP Color Pro Laserjet cp1525nw and the HP Color Laserjet cp1525nw. These are actual the same printer so please don't get confused by the word "Pro" being added.
You will also notice that you now get your Apple drivers via the Apple Software Update or ASU. Here are a couple of reference documents that should be of help.
Installing the Full Feature HP Print Driver in OS X v10.10 Yosemite with a USB Cable
Installing the OS X v10.10 Yosemite HP Print Driver from Apple Software Update
If the driver is not located in the ASU, then the dmg file is located on the printer page. It does say the it is compatible with both 10.9 and 10.10.
    cp1525 dmg file

  • HP LASERJET CP1525nw print error when printing online Gmail emails with Google Chrome

HP LASERJET CP1525nw print error when printing online Gmail emails with Google Chrome. Extra large font sizes and weird formatting issues only when printing emails from Gmail within Chrome. No problems when printing the same email from Gmail+Internet Exolorer or Thunderbird. Using the IE Tab extension in Chrome prints the email correctly but the style of Gmail's message window is completely weird ie: formatting bar is spread out vertically instead of horizontally. I believe it is clear that this is an application specific issue between the HP LASERJET CP1525nw printer and Google Chrome + Gmail. This printing scenario does not occur when printing anything else or when printing via another printer. I would appreciate receiving any suggestions to solve this issue.

    Browser: Google Chrome 15
HP Print driver: HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 v5.4.0

    Hi AbZu,
You need to contact Google Chromes technical support as this is only an issue with Chrome. You have indicated that the printer functions correctly everywhere else. Check out the link below for Google Chrome technical support. Let me know if you need additional assistance?

+For now I have it set to Share Public IP address - Is this correct for my Network Setup with The Airport Extreme being the only router being used ?+
This would be the correct setting if the AirPort Extreme is connected to a simple modem (one ethernet port).

5 GHz name indicates that you have elected to use the option to assign a separate name to the 5 GHz network. This will allow you to "tell" compatible computers to connect to that network, rather than the slower 2.4 GHz network
Use Wide Channels is recommended for 5 GHz operation.
Interference Robustness often does more harm than good and should not be used unless you know you are in a area with a lot of wireless networks and you feel that your network is experiencing interference issues from a nearby network.

  • Problem getting Airprint (Bonjour) to communicate to HP LaserJet CP1525nw printer across a Cisco 5508 Wireless Controller

I cannot get my IPad2 to print (it cannot find the printer) using a Laserjet CP1525nw color printer across a wireless network using a Cisco 1508 Wireless Controller with 49 wireless access points. HELP!!!!
What is the secret to getting Bonjour to work on it?
I can get the IPad2 to locate the HP CP1525nw printer without a hitch using a low budget Netgear WAG102 stand alone wireless access point on the same network.

If it helps somebody, here is what you need to do.
It worked for me, but only in Multicast-Unicast mode.

  • Cannot enable ePrint/Web Services, HP LaserJet CP1525nw

I am trying to follow HP's instructions for enabling ePrint and Web Services for my LaserJet CP1525nw.  I printed the Config Report, got the printer's IP address and entered it into a brower as instructed.  It does pull up summary page, but there is no "HP Web Services" tab as indicated in all of the HP instructions I can find - only four tabs that read: Status, System, Print, Networking.
I have looked at all sub-menus under each of these tabs, and cannot find anything that even resembles a "Web Services" option.
Can somebody please help?  Or is there another way to find the printer's email address so that I can register and use ePrint for my iPhone and iPad?
From what I have been able to find on HP Support, the Airprint software driver(s) are not yet availble for this LaserJet model - or are they?

There is firmware to enable AirPrint in the HP LaserJet CP1525nw.
Go to the support page for this printer:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=219&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=40529...
and pick the type of desktop computer you are using. On the resulting page you will see a choice to download a firmware updated that you can run on your computer to update your printer.

  • Enable Web Services on HP LaserJet CP1525nw

We are trying to setup web service printing on HP LaserJet CP1525nw.
This is a networked printer, from a windows server 2008 R2 server to Windows 7 x64 machines
It is connected to a wired network and everything (printing etc) works execpt web service.
We have set the DNS manually to 8.8.8.8 and secondary dns to 8.8.4.4 and restarted
We also have white listed the Printer IP on the firewall so it has access to internet through the network without being filtered. (Does anyone know what are the IP address for the web services on the HP side?)
When we access the Printer using its IP and go to Web Services Setup and hit 'Enable' it sits on that screen for about 2 minutes and failed
    "Connection error Check connection"
    Any advise is much appreicated.

  • Hp laserjet cp1525nw

I recently purchased the Laserjet CP1525nw color printer and 256MB ram upgrade (non HP).  The printer works fine without the ram inserted.  I had our vendor replace the ram and still the yellow triangle on the printer lights up and doesn't print until i remove the ram.  The HP ram is about $400 so i didn't get that and got the $50 one from another manafacturer.  Has anyone else had this issue?  Will this printer only accept that particular ram chip?  $400 for 256MB seems ridiculous!  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  The firmware is up to date and my last option is to contact HP and see if they can assist.  Thanks.

    Hey Dan_the_Man_21,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
One way to fix the option of having the menu disabled, is to try and re-enable the option through the Embedded Web Server (EWS) of the printer. To be able to access the EWS, you will need to print a configuration report to get the IP address of the printer. I have included the document 'Printing a Configuration Report'.
Next you will need to open up your Internet browser, and type the IP address into the address bar. Once the page loads with your printers information, you will need to click on the System tab. Then click on Administration on the left hand side.
Please let me know if this works for you.

  • Hp laserjet cp1525nw will not sync to wireless after the Internet network is lost and returns

My hp laserjet cp1525nw works fine UNLESS the cable modem losses signal. At this point the blue light on the printer blinks. This continues after the signal comes back from my ISP. The only way to get the printer to work wirelessly again is to power cycle it. I have tried pushing the wireless button below the blue lite. My J6480 works fine.
    Any ideas,

Hey there @FC111 , welcome to the HP Community
If you are running a Windows OS, you can try running the Print and Scan Doctor to potentially find your home network again and connect to it. If that does not work, try Uninstalling the Printer Software and reinstalling the printer.
I hope that helps, let me know the results and which OS you're running.

  • Unable to connect LaserJet CP1525nw to Wireless Network

I have new Ubiquity router. It is broadcasting our SSID. I am trying to connect a LaserJet CP1525nw to the wireless network. I cannot figure out a way to enter the SSID on the printer. The Ubiquity router does not have a WPS button, so that is an option. I did attempt to use the USB connected device, but the installer would time out, always providing the same error, that it could not connect to the printer (this in spite of the fact that the printer is on and connected via USB).
