HP laserjet m1536dnf mfp print and scan is very slow

Hi Sir/Madam,
HP laserjet m1536dnf mfp print and scan is printing and scanning slow on network. Sometimes scan is not work. That's why I have to reinstall the printer driver. So how to increase print speed?
Thanks in advance,

Hi riz1_4444,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I understand the printer is printing and scanning slow on the network.
I will be happy to help you.
Make sure printer is connected directly to a wall outlet.
Try printing a hardware test on the printer to see if it prints slow or not.
Printing a Configuration Report. Select Method one: Print a Configuration Report from the printer control panel.
I would restart the router to see if this will resolve the issue.
Try another Ethernet cable.
If you are still having issue then test the printer by connecting the printer to the computer by a USB cable to see if it is something on the network that is causing it to slow down.
Hope this resolves your issue for printing slow over the network.
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.
Have a wonderful day!

  • HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP; P1606dn and 200 color M251n SNMP trap

Is it possible to configure these devices to send data in SMTP trap?

Just bought the HP 150 Officejet.  It has the bluetooth connectivity, but under bluetooth devices it says "driver is available."  Installed the HP Officejet Full Feature Software and Driver, but on the bluetooth screen still says unavailable.  On the printer device screen in the control panel it shows the L511 and L511 BT, as well further down the list is the name found in the settings of the printer.  For the L511, it says offline, for the L511 BT, it gives no additional info, by the name, it says "driver is unavailable.
Going through the support in the program, it continues to say that if the printer is not found, plug in with a USB and continue, but there was no USB in the box as it is supposed to be wireless, so I can't plug it in to my computer.
So, basically, my computer acknowledges the printer is there, but won't print to it because the driver is unavailable, and I can't plug it in because I didn't get a cable.  None of the downloads from the support page worked.
    Thoughts?

I have a HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP printer which is connected to the network and users connected to the network through wifi. I have installed the latest driver versions from hp.com. It will work for some time but again will face the same issue. In Windows 7 machines, there are no issues. If anybody is having solution to this problem please share.Thank you.

  • Unable to use scan with networked HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP using Mac OSX, but able to print.

    Thanks for any help.
I'm using an HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP.
It is networked wirelessly via an Apple Extreme and prints just fine over the network but will not scan.
Yet, it scans just fine when I move the printer's USB cable from the Extreme directly to the MacBook Pro (a bit of a hassel).
When I try to scan over the wireless network, I'm able to go through the scan driver interface and see the printer, but when I click on "Scan", I recieve this error message:
    "Scanner communication cannot be established."
"HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP is currently unavailabe.  Ensure cables are connected.. etc."
I'm running OSX 10.8.3 on an old MacBook Pro (2008)

Hello, DP Photo, sounds like a scanning issue with the software. To start I want you to completely remove the software and then reinstall the programming from the packages available on the website I am going to link you to below. Use the full-feature software if available.

Purchased a HP Laserjet M1536dnf MFP four days ago for use with an Apple MacBook Pro using OSX 10.9.4. I got it to print and copy, but keep getting the folllowing error message when attempting to scan:
     “Scanner reported an error

Please check if it is turned on and connected, or try

Yes, it is connected and yes it is turned on. The version of HP Scan that was installed is 4.4.1

  • Scaner problem - HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP

    HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP
    Wire LAN connected.
There are two stations working with the same MFP.
On one - everythink works fine.
    On second - not.
    Drivers are the same: 61.101.98561
IP address of printer is the same.
    Both on Win7.
Issue is that MFP is printing documents but it refuses to scan any. After running HP Scan application it takes few seconds before it runs and when I finally hit 'scan' button it shows error telling that there is no scaner connexcted to that computer (unfortunatelly i can't paste this error).

Welcome to the HP Forums SamHell,
I see by your post the printer won't scan on the second computer running Windows 7 but it will print over the wired network. I can help you with this issue.
Temporarily turn off the Antivirus software to see if that is blocking the printer communication for scanning.
    Test the scan again.
If you are still having issues then check the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) services.
Windows: HP Scan Software Does Not Open or Scan on a Printer Using a USB Connection.
    Disregard the title.
Go to Solution three: Check the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) services.
I have provided a document for setting up the Firewall to Allow a connection to the printer in case that is causing this issue. Configuring a Firewall to Allow a Connection with the All-in-One in Windows.
    Test the scan.
Then you will have to go back in and turn the Antivirus software back on again.
If the issue persists run the Print and Scan Doctor since it might resolve the issue automatically or will find out if it is a driver, Twain, WIA connection or software issue.

  • HP ToolboxFX has encountered an error and cannot recover (HP Laserjet M1536dnf MFP)

We have an HP Laserjet M1536dnf MFP.  Just starting receiving an error with the HP ToolboxFx on Windows 7 32 bit start-up.  We can scan and the printer test prints, but it says the HP Toolbox has encountered an error and cannot recover.  Please restart the HP Toolbox FX...or...toolbox version 006.15.01163.  In toolbox screen, it says cannot connect to device.
I have tried a number of things and read posts, but still no luck.  I can still scan, though.  Help?

    Hi,
Try installing the latest firmware of the printer, reboot both the printer and the PC and check for any difference:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=Im-86043-11&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en...
If that doesn't help, go to C:\HP Laserjet M1530 Basic Software\Utilities and follow the Scrubber.exe to uninstall the software (it may vary and may be named similar as NTScrubber for example).
Reboot your PC, go to Drive C and remove the M1530 Basic Software folder, then download and install the latest software below:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=Im-86005-3&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...
    Hope that helps,

  • Scan in a PDF format in HP laserjet M1319f MFP printer

How to scan in a PDF format when the scanner is not showing that option in HP laserjet M1319f MFP printer when it has been installed in a new HP computer with Windows8pro operating system downloading it from HP website ad the Cd that came with the printer did not support this operating system

    Hello yagnya31,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see you are trying to install and scan with the HP LaserJet M1319f MFP, but are not getting a .PDF option. Printing and scanning with the Windows 8 Operating System is described as basic. The .PDF file type should be available regardless, of the software being basic or full feature. Take a look at this HP document: How to Scan: Windows 8 to learn about the different ways to scan.
See if those methods of scanning gives you the .PDF file type.

Just installed a HP Color Laserjet CM2320nf MFP printer, at the same time I upgraded to Lion. It prints fine, but I cannot use the scan functions.  I downloaded the most recent driver! Any help would be appreciated.

HP says that the drivers for your all in one print/scanner are downloadable from apple. For the scanner to use preview. image capture or the scan icon from the print driver queue.  I don't know how old your HP is, but I know that the newer Os from apple don't support a lot of older printers. You might be able find a third party driver that could work.

  • [SOLVED] foomatic-rip-hplip and HP laserjet M1212nf MFP printer

I'm trying to install and configure the drivers for the HP laserjet M1212nf MFP printer to work with CUPS over a wired network using the hplip utilities.
I've installed and set up the printer drivers etc using hp-setup and the printer is appearing in the CUPS interface. The problem is that when trying to print a test page
from the cups interface, I'm receiving the message "/usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip-hplip failed"
Has anyone had any experience with this error?  what needs to be done to fix this?  this is semi-important as I need my printer for work and school.
SOLVED:  okay, so I found several solutions that combined seem to have solved my problems.
1.) remove the printer from cups
    2.) instead of using 'hp-setup -i <printer-ip> just use hp-setup -i.
3.) have Hal, Dbus, and Avahi up and running (probably my biggest problem, I didn't have hal or avahi installed, and I didn't have dbus running)
    4.) unpause printer
    5.) pray
    6.) print test page.
these steps worked for me (not necessarily in the above order...)

  • Mac OS 10.7 to HP M1536dnf MFP won't scan or AirPrint. SOLUTION

I'm not an IT type, but am posting this in case it helps someone else. Three hours of head-banging to solve this one.
Maybe simple for the IT fluent, but it appears many struggle with this issue.
Just purchased HP LaserJet M1536dnf Multi Funtion Printer (Print/Copy/Scan/Fax). This model does not have WiFi.
Directions say USB or network cable. I had MacBook Pro running OS10.7 via wireless to AirPort Extreme connected to HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP via USB printer cable. Firmware and Drivers updated. Apple software updated. Regular printer function worked fine. However, MFP not seen by Preview, Print & Scan or AirPrint. Added Ethernet cable, everything works fine.
    TO ENABLE SCANNING AND AIRPRINT:
    1) UPDATE FIRMWARE (HP WEBSITE). You need the latest (Aug 2013) for AirPrint.
    2) UPDATE DRIVER (HP WEBSITE). The disc in the box is only good thru 10.6.
    3) UPDATE APPLE SOFTWARE (APPLE SOFTWARE UPDATE). Always a good idea.
    3) CONNECT PRINTER TO ROUTER WITH ETHERNET (LAN/CAT5e) CABLE. Scanning and AirPrint require it.
    4) USB PRINTER CABLE STILL REQUIRED FOR LAPTOP PRINTING. Maybe not depending on your configuration.
It appears that the USB printer cable is a one-way pipe. Network cable is required for scanning or AirPrint.
As usual, HP instructions and support lacking for Mac applications.
This may help on other HP models that are supposedly Mac friendly and AirPrint capable.
Always looking to learn something new. Input welcome.

    Dear cblins,

  • HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP doesn't automatically answer faxes

My new HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP does not automatically answer fax calls.  I do not have a phone hooked up or an answering machine/voicemail.  The 'Answer Mode' is 'Automatic'.
We use an analog converter to connect it to our internal digital VOIP phone system.  The prior MFP that was connected didn't have any issues with answering/printing faxes.
I can see "Incoming call" on the display but it just rings and rings.  If you press the 'Start Fax' button when it's ringing, then it will proceed with connecting and receive the fax, otherwise it eventually drops the call.  This is not good seeing that a lot of faxes come in when the office is closed or otherwise unattended.
I tried the "Fax/Tel" setting, but that didn't work either.
    Please help!
    Thanks, much!!!

  • LaserJet 400 MFP Won't scan - "Device is Busy"

My HP LaserJet 400 MFP refuses to scan either to the network folder I set up, or to a USB drive. It simply displays the message "Device is Busy". I have tried restarting the device, and removing hte network cable, but it continues to display this message. There is nothing in the print queue that I know of. Please help!

I have a problem with my scan to folder as well and I have to access the folder from a computer before it will work.  I'm not sure why that works, actually.  You might want to give that a try to see if it fixes the problem.  If it does, I imagine it is some sort of security problem with the folder you are trying to scan to.
