HP LaserJet M2727nf incompatibility with Windows 8.1

My  hard drive crashed and I ended up buying a new computer with a more recently released operating system.  I now have Windows 8.1.  My HP LaserJet M2727nf was working fine, but since I obtained the new operating system, the printer does not work.  The error message states that the problem is the operating system.   I have one of these printers in my home office and one in my church office.   Is there a work around for this problem?  I cannot afford new printers.  My budget is stretched to the limit with the new computer.  I am not tech savy so I will greatly appreciate any assistance.  Please speak in laymen's terms.

You should download the driver for your printer, here what i get :

  • Getting old Laserjet printers to work with Windows 7

    Hi Everyone,
For those of you, like me, that may have an old Laserjet 4, 5, or 6 I figured out how to get it to work with Windows 7!
First, new computers do not have LPTx ports. So, when you first set up your Laserjet you MUST select a USB port - this is the main problem with getting your old laserject to work on a new computer.  MY computer dispalyed USB001 and USB002. Since I have another HP printer installed using USB001, I selected USB002. You will also need a Pararellel to USB adapter cable - you can buy one on Amazon (I paid just $11.87).
Next, when selecting a printer driver  you MUST select HP, NOT Hewlett Packard. Scroll down until you find Laserjet 4,5, or 6. NOTE, if you don't see these models, click on the Windows update button in the dialog box. NOTE: This may take a few minutes to display the updated list. Again, select HP and scroll down the list of drivers until you find your model Laserjet (Laserjet 4, 5, or 6).
At this point you should be good. Just finish the install process and make sure to print out a test page.
    Good luck !

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/

  • LaserJet M125a not printing with Windows XP SP3

    Hi everyone.
Today I bought new printer. I wanted instal this printer on my old pc with Win xp but during installation appears window with warning " software for this device: "printer" has not passed compatibility testing with windows xp system". Nonetheless installation is going to end. After all I can only copy and scan. When I try print something, it looks as if the print process is working, nothing happens and there isn't list of not printed items. I have installed printer on my laptops with Win 7 and Win 8.1 and everything is fine.
Sorry for my grammatical mistakes. I have to translate this from polish

Hello Abzozo1.  I understand you're getting the "webcam not detected" error.
What is the exact product number of the notebook?  This document can show you where it is located.
Has the webcam ever worked since you upgraded the operating system?
To ensure that you have all of the software installed properly I suggest installing the HP Software Framework and HP Support Assistant.  You can then run HP Support Assistant and it will automatically install any missing software.  If that doesn't resolve the issue I suggest you take a look at my thread located here.  This thread covers the common solutions to this error.
Take a look at that thread and let me know if any of the steps help.

  • Blackberry Incompatibility with Outlook 2007

Has anyone figured out how to overcome the incompatibility issues with Outlook 07. I purchased my Blackberry specifically for the purpose of gaining access to my job's email server, and in the past was able to access it, but apparently now there are incompatibility issues. Also, when I visit the site from my phone, I can't open the emails, which makes it a double pain, b/c I'm not accomplishing the tasks that I thought I would when I purchased the phone. Any help out there?

outlook 2007 or any other version is just a client, an opening to grab emails from the server. no BB directly connects with any version of outlook. there is no incompatability between your BB and outlook since they dont touch each other.
your Bb needs to connect the server in the same fashion that your outlook does. wether it is exchange/owa, imap, or pop.
most companies use exchange. if you have exchange and they allow owa access then your BB connects directly to your exchange server, not outlook. now you need to find out the version of Exchange, Im assuming its 2007 since your outlook is 2007 (why upgrade 1 without the other).
now exchange 2003, you MUST have the mailbox name followed by the trick in  the link provided by sdgardne.Exchange 2007 sometimes does not require a mailbox name or sometimes does, which can be found with the trick in the link I provided. In all cases the OWA link, username, and password MUST be accurate.
The ONLY way exchange 2007 is incompatible is if Exchange 2007 has ISA enabled by your IT department
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB04804&sliceId=SAL_Pub...
to find out if your IT has implimented ISA, call them and ask them, or log into OWA and see if the address bar adds CookieAuth.dll to the end.
if ISA is on your IT either needs to disable it or you will have to wait till RIM figures out a way past ISA in 2007(they solved it in 2003)
other than ISA, your BB is 100% compatible with exchange 2007 and the RIM rep must have been new.

  • Driver to have HP Laserjet C4120A (HP Laserjet 4000n) work with Windows 7

We just put in 28 new Dell OptiPlex 3030 AIO with Windows 7 Professional in a school computer lab - but the tech guy did not install a printer for it to print to because he says our current printer - an HP Laserjet 4000n (C4120A) - is too old and will not work with Windows 7.  This is an EXCELLENT printer and has been working for us for a long time and I hate to give it up.
Would someone please direct me to where a driver for this printer that will work with Windows 7 - or will Windows 7 automatically determine what driver is needed and retrieve it from its set of drivers it has with the operating system?
Thank you so much for helping!

    Hello,
I've seen this same issue with my printers (other HP printers) whereby the default setting to support the Duplexing hardware was set to 'off'.
A quick method to check this is look at what the setting is for Duplex hardware in the Device Settings tab, and if it's not set, correct it.
      Printer Properties:
From the 'Start' orb -> [Devices & Printers] -> right click on your Printer icon -> select 'Printer Properties' -> click on 'Device Settings' tab.
You should see a dialog similar to the mine (attached): look for the 'Duplex unit (for 2-sided printing)' and see if it's set to "Not Installed":
--> in either case, click on 'Not installed' and from the dropdown box, select 'Installed'... Click 'OK' to accept the changes and close the dialog.
    Printing Preferences:
again, right click on your Printer icon -> select 'Printing Preferences' -> click on 'Advanced' tab.
-->Check to see if there is a 'Duplex Hardware' or '2-sided printing' option in here: mine doesn't show one but thougth I'd mention it nonetheless.
Click on the 'Finishing' tab and select 'Print on both sides'...or simply test print a multi-page document and set those preferences on-the-fly.
Let me know if this helps...

  • HP LaserJet 1320 Duplex Printing Not working with Windows 7

    Hi
I've just bought a new PC with Windows 7 Home Premium. I have an HP LaserJet 1320 printer (Prod no. Q5927A, SN CNGW53RLRY).
I cannot find driver that works the same way as the previous driver HP LaserJet PCL5. If I use this driver and can still get duplex printing but it will only print one copy at a time.
If I upgrade to HP Universal Printing PLC (or PLC v5) I can print multiple copies but not duplex printing. I have searched high and low through the HP site but to no avail.
Any help and advice will be much appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Networking color laserjet 3800 printer with Windows 7 OS

I have a color laserjet 3800 that is networked in an office of 5 computers using Windows XP pro OS.  I just purchased a HP pavilion Slimline Windows 7 64 bit OS computer.  The networking and printer networking set up was a breeze until it came to connecting the 3800.  I have downloaded the PCL 5, 6 and universal drivers.  When I go to add printer as a network printer and choose the 3800 it gives an error of not being able to find a driver.  I tried to manually find the driver but it does not find a match in PCL 5, 6 or universal driver.  The link below clearly shows the 3800 to be compatible with windows 7, but I cannot get it work.
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Hardware&p=HP%20Col...
The network absolutely sees the printer and lets it be chosen but does not let it get installed on the windows 7 machine.
    Thank you for any assistance.

  • LaserJet 100 Color MFP M175nw with Windows 8.1

I have a LaserJet 100 MFP M175nw and I am currently using it with a PC that has Windows 8.1.  Recently upgraded to 8.1.  I bought the PC with Windows 8 and the scanner/printer worked great with that OS.  So I have been having issues with the printing/scanner ever since the upgrade.
I have it set up to print and scan wirelessly.  It would work intermittently and when it didn't, I would remove the drivers and re-install them.  Now that no longer works.  I can't even get it to work using a USB cable.  I downloaded the latest version of the drivers both the full featured and the basic versions, tried them both to no avail.  It goes through the install then it gets to 99% and takes a long time then I get a message with a red X that states,"Error,"  And the error message that goes along with it is that it timed out.  Same with both USB or wireless installs.  I read through some of the difficulties others' have been having and the last I saw was to uninstall and then re-install the driver.  That has not worked for me.  I also downloaded the Print and Scan doctor but no device was listed which does make sense since I have not been able to get through an installation.
I ran and printed wireless network test report on the printer and it mentioned that the printer couldn't find my wireless router.  But I have internet access with all other computers in the house with no issues.  I don't know how to tell my printer what SSID to search for and the password for my network.  The install files included a utility to do that but did not help.
I am stuck and would welcome any suggestion(s).
    Thank you,
    Frank

    Hi @jacobumoru,
I see that you are getting a "fatal error" during the installation. I will certainly do my best to help you.
I have provided some steps that should allow you to continue the installation without the error again.
Run the installation, immediately after connecting the USB cable, follow the steps in this document to update the drivers so it doesn't error out again. A Fatal Error Displays During Software Installation. Then the installation should continue. Temporarily turn off any Antivirus Software, just to make sure it doesn't interfere with the install.
I have provided a document for Windows 8, for How do I get into Windows Device Manager?

  • Lost communication with the scanner of my LaserJet Pro CM1415 fnw color MFP with Windows 8.1

I have just upgraded my PC to Windows 8.1 (it came with Windows 8), and now I have "lost communication" with the scanner element of the CM1415...... The printer part is working fine!
I have read various fixes for other printers for 8.1, but does anyone have any experience with this particular model and this particular problem?
PS. The latest HP driver available for the CM1415 states that it is the same as the one delivered in the box.......

    Hi RTB2014,
Welcome to the HP Forums,  I hope you enjoy your experience!
I understand you are unable to scan after updating the computer to Win 8.1.
I will be happy to help you.
Did you uninstall the printer software and reinstall the downloaded drivers?
If you didn't then I would uninstall and reinstall the downloaded drivers.
I have provided a URL to uninstall the printer software.
Fully uninstall the printer in Win 8.
You can download the newest drivers from this link. Select the operating system and click next.

  • HP LaserJet 6L won't work with Windows 8

    Good afternoon all,
Right I inherited this great little printer last year, it worked great with Windows 7 but now it wont work with Windows 8, it appears to be installed and the drivers are all up to date but when I use it to print a pile of random characters come out on the pages and doesn't stop. I've reinstalled it and installed it again and again every different way but it just doesn't work and HP says that it is compatible (there is a green tick beside it somewhere on your website). Could it be that I'm using a cable that is parallel at the printer end and USB at the computer end that is at fault?
    James.

I had the same problem, and fixed it.
Control Panel - Devices and Printers
    Click on "Add a Printer"
Click on "The printer that I want isn't listed"
For USB connection, choose "Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings"
Pick an existing port.  I use a cable that has LPT port at one end, USB at the other end.  So my choice is USB001 (Virtual printer port for USB)
Now you see the list of manufacturers and models.  Before doing anything, click on "Windows Update" and let it run (takes a few minutes)
Once the update is complete and you're back to the list of manufacturers and models, select HP as the model, and select HP LaserJet 6L as the printer.  Without Windows Update, it will only show "HP LaserJet 6L PS Class Driver", which causes the problem.  Stick to "HP LaserJet 6L"
The rest is straight forward.  Print a test page and check if it comes out right.  Good luck!!
