  • LaserJet 2200D Not Feeding Paper

I printed a test page today and as the page came out I heard an unusual sound.  When I looked for the cause it took some wiggling to get the toner cartridge out.  Once I reinserted the cartridge I tried to print a test page directly from the printer.  I can hear and see the top rollers power up and move, but I do not hear the page feeder engage at all.  Eventually all the lights come on and I have to turn the printer off to clear the error.
Any suggestions on what to look at or clean would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Mark

  • HP Officejet 6500A Plus does not feed paper

HP Officejet 6500A Plus, Mac OS X 10.6.8,The printer does not feed paper.  Then gives the message that 'printer is out of paper'.  I have done all of the reset and cleaning procedures recommended on the HP web site.  That does not correct the problem when I do 'Print Status Report'.Observing through the front with a flashlight, the paper feed mechanism comes down on top of the paper stack, but the rollers do not feed paper.  Then the feed mechanism lifts up and the error message 'printer is out of paper' is displayed on the small screen on the printer. If a single sheet of paper is inserted deep into the printer so that it can be captured by the print rollers, then the printer produces a normal 'printer status report'.The problem appeared after printing some photos on official HP photo paper with new official HP cartridges. Advice? From:molybdenum

    Hello @99stonemo99,
    Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand that your Photosmart C309 is not feeding paper.
    I would like to help.
It sounds like you have done all the trouble shooting.
Please review the following document for any missed steps.

If the printer will still not feed paper, then it is probably time for a new printer.
The Photosmart family of printers is currently being switched over to the ENVY family.
The new printers are also eligible for the Instant Ink program.
    There are about fourteen printers.
Eleven that you can click on to bring up the user manual.
This user manual should tell you if the printer can handle card stock.

  • Deskjet F4280 not feeding paper in

Hi, My name is Carrie.  I am having trouble with the Deskjet F4280 not feeding paper into it.
It sounds like the rollers are working but not grabbing the paper.  It was working if I fed the paper in by pushing one piece of paper at a time but now it is not taking paper in at all?

Hi - Try following the steps in this video.  Typically, the problem is caused by an accumulation of dust or paper dust on the rollers.  Hope it helps.

  • C310A WILL NOT FEED PAPER. PRINTER CLICKS. If IT PUSH PAPER IN BY HAND, IT WILL PRINT, BUT NOT AUT

HP PHOTOSMART 310A printer will not feed paper.  It is about 6 months old, with minimal use at home.  It has always done a lot of clicking, but now when it would normally feed the paper, it clicks for several seconds, and the top piece of paper does not feed,  it then clicks again, like it is trying feed paper, then to back the paper out, and then stops.  The printer then posts a no paper in tray error.  When I reload it does the same thing again.   Does the printer not have a optical paper in tray sensor?  It should be able to see the paper is in the tray fairly easily, not sure why it uses the feed roller to sense paper?
It does not seem to work, regardless of the number of sheets used.  1, 10, 25, or mostly full of paper.
The clicking sounds more like gears slipping, rather than the normal clicking it makes all the time.  (with about 30 or 40 clicks in a few seconds, all at a fairly regular rate.)
it only clicks after the little arm extends down and touches the top of the paper stack.  There is a metal arm, with two white wheels that is dropped from above the paper onto the tray, and it appears to be that arm that is clicking.  It looks like it is trying to push the first (top) sheet of paper into the printer.  The top sheet does not move.   If I push the paper, it will take the paper and run just fine for that one sheet.
I opened the back, and there is an area with a couple of larger wheels that look like they feed the paper up from the tray into the printer.  In that area there was a cardboard piece with CN503-00012 printed on the side.  It appeared to be loose in the cover, and not sure what that is for? if it should be there? or if it is related,  I removed the cardboard piece.  Not sure what to do with that.  I do not think it is nessisarily related, since if I can feed the paper by pushing it, it takes it and prints.
Help explain what is going on.
    John

I do not recognize the cardboard peice you describe - I just opened up my c310a and did not see anything like this.  It may have been part of the packing material....
At any rate, I would suggest following the troubleshooting steps in this page.

  • Support Code 1007 printer will not feed paper from lower tray!

PIXMA MG5422 will not feed paper from lower tray. Wifi connect Mac OS X 10.9.4

I have the same problem with my Canon MG7120 and it's SUPREMELY annoying. I have a iMac running 10.10.4 and am also trying to use iPhones. The printer has no option to print from the lower tray if it sees any color or any odd size page. Anything from the iPhone will be treated the same, rendering it completely useless. I love Canon printers, have had many in the past, but this one is really really annoying.

  • HP 5510xi All-In-One Printer Not Feeding Paper

I was printing a document and the paper got jammed.  I removed the back panel to release the jam, but now the paper does not feed through.  When I try to print something the printer acts as though it will print but it makes a sound just like when there is no paper in the tray and then a "Out of Paper" shows up on the screen.
I have tried unplugging it and re-plugging it to get it started again. But that didn't work.  I cleaned the rollers and that didn't work either.  I went through several things listed on the troubleshooting screen, but it still doesn't work.
If anyone can help me, please do!  I have several cartridges that I have not opened and would go to waste if I cannot fix this printer.
    Thanks

Unplug the power cord from the wall and the printer for 5 minutes.  Plug back in and turn on.

  • C6280 not feeding paper

I recently have had a problem with the paper not feeding correctly (jamming)  and now I can not get the paper to feed.....   I have cleaned the rollers in the back but still a problem...  do I need to replace the unit with the rollers in the back????    The printer has worked great for several years....

I'm having a very similar issue. Only now, instead of simply not loading the paper correctly, my printer will not put any ink on the page. it just runs one or more pieces of paper through, makes the noises, and then stops as if it did something. I'm at my wits end. Here's hoping I can find the receipt....

  • HP Laserjet P1005 not printing

    Dear all,
i own a HP Laserjet P1005 printer and i'm trying to install it on my Asus M50VCseries laptop but i'm having a lot of troubles. First of all the printer is ok and i already installed it on another computer to test is functions. XP recognize the printer, i install the last hp drivers from web and then when i click on printer to print a test page or another type of page nothing happens! no error messages, no alerts. The printer on the right bottom of the screen appears and disappears in one second and nothing happens.
    What can i do?
    Thanks

  • Officejet 7000 will not feed paper

My Officejet 7000 will not take the paper from the paper supply tray.
When I send a document to the printer it sounds normal as if the rollers are turning but after a few seconds it stops and the button with the paper icon flashes as if there is no paper (there is paper and I've reloaded and tried reprinting several times).
Just prior to the issue, the printer was in the process of printing a multi-page document. About half way through printing one of the pages I heard a 'clack' type sound. The next page nor any subsequent attempt would feed into the printer.
Any idea what is wrong and if it is worth fixing?
    Thank you.

  • HP LaserJet P1005 not working with Snow Leopard

Has anyone managed to get this printer to work with Snow Leopard 10.6? I have installed the latest drivers* from the HP website which BTW do not say they support 10.6 , see http://is.gd/2DfcE
*Not sure exactly what the version number of the drivers is. The website says they are version 1.0.7, but when installed they show version 1.0.6
I either get nothing coming out of the printer or an error "PrintJobMgr quit unexpectedly - This report will be sent to Apple automatically".

    From this web page:
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can use if there is an issue:
Ensure the printer is connected, has power, has ink / toner, paper, and no alerts on its built-in display.
Network based printers should be on the same subnet; you shouldn't have to worry about this if your printer is on your home network.
Use Software Update for the latest available updates.
Delete the affected printer from Printer & Fax System Preferences, then re-add the printer.
If the issue persists, reset printing system as described below, then re-add the printer.
If the issue persists, contact the printer vendor and/or visit their website for printer software and support.

  • Photosmart B8353 not feeding paper at end of print

Hi there I have a 'new to me' Photosmart B8353 which seems to be having feed problems at the same point in every print, am printing some 4 x 6 photos and it seems to get stuff on the final cm and over prints itself and gets stuck in the rollers.
I have the paper the right side, loaded correctly, right back corner, the positioners in place, the rest of the print is fine just this last cm, I dont understand why it gets stuck at the same point?
    Assistance much appreciated

Have you already tried the solutions in this document?  There's one step that's specific to Windows (adjust the paper settings), but the rest is related to the hardware.

  • LJ M1217nfw is not feeding paper properly. It pulls it slightly to the left then say load paper???

Has anybody had this problem before??? I have tried different type of paper,  opened and clean the printer but problem persists.

    Hello AubreyRhea,
Please check if your paper meets the requirements of your unit, which you can check HERE. Scroll down to paper specifications to see if your paper is supported. What can help as well is using HP Advanced paper which has a grainy backside and is easier for the printer to get a hold on. Also you can try cleaning the paper pickup rollers if yu can reach them with a damp cloth, please make sure the unit is not connected to the power socket when doing this and allow for enough drying time before connecting it again.
