Hp laserjet p1505 wireless set-up

Hi! Our offce has hp laserjet p1505. Can we print by wifi? How can i set it up?

Hi,
Based on the following information, your printer only has USB connection:
You need a wireless print server to be able to print wireless. Given the price of new printers today, buying a new wireless printer may ending up cheaper and no headache.

  • HELP PLEASE - HP Laserjet wireless set-up on Mac

Please help me - I can not set-up my HP Laserjet M1217 nfw printer on my wireless network (for wireless printing).  I am fully aware of, BUT can't access the wireless configuration utility via the Embedded Web Server.
I have checked to make sure the wireless radio is turned on.
I have printed out the Test Page/Configuration that shows my printer's IP address.
I have entered the IP address in my web browser but everytime I get "Failed to open page".
The set-up utility with the software is not help at all, it does not have any info about wireless set-up.
What am I doing wrong??  Please help me.  Please.

Even though your wireless radio is turned on, you have to connect to your router with your SSID and password.  Once that is done you should be able to use the EWS.   Has the printer been successfully installed wirelessly?

  • HP laserjet P1100 wireless connection for mac

Hoping for a quick response.... I have a Mac with 10.8.5 and I have purchased an HP Laserjet P1100 wireless printer. I have tried installing the drivers to print wireless...ly with no success. I have taken time out to type this message because I have not been able to find someone who has had  the same issue in the internet. I need a walk thru because there are many steps where the issue may be occuring. Your written installation documentation conflicts with your User Guide PDF file. Cord or no cord during driver installation for wireless connection???  Was lost after #5 page 18 on the User Guide PDF file.
I figured it out. Your directions are misleading and not up to date. Cord is not an issue but needed for entire install process. At one point I'm in my system prefs then I'm on my web browser where I  found Bonjour which added the network to my printer choices so now I can print wirelessly... hopefully I don't have to do that again because I'm not sure of the steps I took. Fairly complex set up.

    Hey @matt4,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see that you have a Mac OS X 10.8.5 and a new HP Laserjet P1100 series printer and are looking for quick and easy wireless configuration steps. I just have one question for you:
    Do you have a P1100 or a P1102w?
    What's my Model Number?
I'm going to assume that you have a Laserjet P1102w. The steps for wireless configuration of a Laserjet P1102w are a bit confusing on Mac OS X 10.8 as you need to use the generic Apple Airprint driver because there is no 'Full Feature Software and Driver' installation for that Operating System. In saying that, I will try my best to give you easy steps to reference should you need to configure your printer again on the wireless network.
How to Connect the Printer to the Network:
Step 1: Install the Generic Mac Printer Driver:
    1. Turn your printer on
    2. Plug your USB cable from the printer directly into your Mac
    3. Click on the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences
    4. Click Print & Scan and make sure your printer is in the list of available devices.
    5. If your printer is not listed, click the plus () sign at the bottom left pane, click the name of your USB printer, and then click Add.
Step 2: Connect the Printer to the Wireless Network:
I've added the video above so you can view these step-by-step instructions.
Click the Apple icon (), and then click System Preferences.
    Click Print & Scan.
Click Open Print Queue, and then click Printer Setup.
Click the Utility tab, and then click Open Printer Utility.
    Click HTMLConfig.
Click the Networking tab, and then click Wireless from the list on the left.
Under Communication Mode, click Infrastructure, select your network SSID from the Available Network Names (SSID) list, and then click the << button.
From the Security Mode pop-up menu under Authentication, click WEP or WPA/WPA2. Your selection depends on the wireless security protocol your network uses.
Note: If your network does not have wireless security, leave the Security Mode set to Open System (No Authentication).
Type your WEP/WPA/WPA2 key in the appropriate field, and then click Apply.
In the confirmation box, click OK, and then close the HTML Config and Print Queue windows.
Step 3: Delete the USB connected printer, and then add the wireless connected printer:
In the Print & Scan window under Printers, click your printer name, and then click the Minus sign () to remove it.
NOTE: This removes the USB connection from the list so that the only entry for your printer is the wireless connection.
Disconnect the USB cable from the printer and the computer.
Under Printers, click the Plus sign ().
Select your printer name with Bonjour as the Kind, and then click Add
Once your printer is configured for Bonjour, if you have other Mac OS X computers that you want to use with this network printer you do not have to run all these steps again. You simply make sure that the other Mac computers are all connected to the same network that you have set your printer up on and just open Print & Scan. Under Printers click the  () plus sign and select your  printer name with Bonjour as the Kind, and then click Add.
You can reference all of this information in: Setting Up the Printer for a Wireless Network for the HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer
Let me know if these steps help clear up any confusion for you. Good luck!

  • Laserjet CM1415fnw - wireless printing extremely slow

    Hello,
I've got my new CM1415fnw, set up wireless following instructions and installed OSX drivers on my Macbook. Printer is visible and manageable via HP utility, test page is printing extremely fast.
The problem is, everything EXCEPT a test page is printing HIDEOUSLY slow - like 5 to 7 minutes after you sent anything to print, the printer finaly starts printing it... And if you're printing a multi-page document, it actually takes 5 to seven minutes for EVERY page to start printing!
Obviously, something must be very wrong with this shiny new printer printing at cool speed of 8-10 pages PER HOUR, where my old Photosmart C7100 was happily printing about the same number of pages per minute? All wireless setting are the same in both cases, and as I already mentioned printer is visible and accessible, and test page prints blazingly fast. It's just that except for test page printing this device is pretty much useless at the moment...
Are there any hints or something I should check to identify the problem? As I'm mentioned, I'm under OSX, so Windows-based HP diagnostic tools are not much help...

Hello I just bought this printer a few days ago and set it up and have noticed the same problems with extremely slow network printing through the wireless. I have a 70 meg down fast internet connection & a Belkin 450n db wireless router. When I print photos it takes almost a half an hour for the photos to come through the network and print, which seems very strange for an office LaserJet to be considered normal output. I've also look into purchasing an auto duplex accessory and extra RAM but have sadly found out that neither are an option for this model. First off I have to say shame on you HP for not offering loyal customers the option for auto duplexing and RAM upgrading. Second the print speeds on this thing are absolutely atrocious! Third, your outsourcing of customer support or tech support overseas absolutely sucks. I called up tech support and was transferred immediately to the Philippines. The wrong department received my call and then transferred me to India. I spoke with somebody who had a terrible accent and the call quality was bad on top of that so half an hour went by and he really couldn't help me with my slow network printing issues. On top of that I asked him if although duplexing an extra RAM were accessories I could purchase for this model and he couldn't figure that out he didn't have an answer. So now that I finished ranting , can anybody help me with this or is this the way this thing was made to be, slow as can be?

  • No options in print windows HP Laserjet P1505

Trying to print Quark 6.5 document and specify Screen Frequency on HP Laserjet P1505, but cannot access any print options. I think it is a missing PPD thing, and I can't find a PPD listed for the printer in Quark PPDs. Can anyone help please?

    LilyLC wrote:
Thanks for the info. Okay, maybe it doesn't need to be stored in a "library" but doesn't it need to first be stored somewhere?
No. All that is needed is some mechanism to write the PPD file for the printing system use. It is the file in /private/etc/cups/ppd that is used when printing. Several manufacturers do not include PPD files for at least some of their printers. Many Epson printers come to mind as other examples. In versions of OS X 10.5 and earlier, manufacturers used their old carbon based drivers and only added enough to the installer to get things to work.
Some things change in Snow Leopard as the old carbon based and/or Tioga drivers are no longer acceptable. That is one of the reasons support for many printers was dropped. Even in Snow Leopard, there is a method to write PPD files only when printers are added.
The path I provided is generally where HP installs PPDs with OS 10.4.x. I know you were trying to troubleshoot without thinking of Quark, but that is what the OP needs. Interestingly, I do have a gazillion of PPDs including a few for the HP Laserjet Pxxx series that were installed as OS 10.x packages. The names of PPDs in my /private/etc/cups/ppd are the names I set when I added them with Print & Fax system preference, which are different than the actual printer and PPD names. The Quark PPD Manger recognizes original printer or PPD names.
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with Quark and its requirements. However, I would think as long as you can provide a copy of the PPD, it should work. If copying the PPD from /private/etc/cups/ppd to the Desktop is not sufficient, you could place the copy in /Library/Printers/PPDs... The name of the file should not be important. The printing system matches the printer with the correct PPD by using specific keywords in the PPD if a PPD is available when adding a printer. Where the manufacturer has not provided a PPD, it is up to them to provide the mechanism to write the appropriate PPD based on the printer that is chosen in Printer Setup Utility. I would hope that Quark would use the PPD keywords to match the printer to the PPD or at least honor the user pointing out which file to use.

  • HP Laserjet P2035n is set to print double-sided, but I can't change it in the preferences

Last week i downloaded and printed a PDF file. Since then, my HP Laserjet 2035n is set to print double-sided. Here are the details.
I'm running an HP Pavilion Laptop with Windows 7 Home.
The printer is set up as a network printer.
When I try to print something, it stops after one page waiting for me to re-feed the paper manually to print on the other side.
It's only this laptop that's messed up. My other computer prints fine
When I go to Printers, right click on the 2035n, and select "Printer Properties" and look at the bottom of the General tab, it reads under Features "Double Sided: Yes"
If I then click 'Preferences..." and go to the Finishing tab, under Document Options, the box "Print On Both Sides (Manually)" box is unchecked.
    Here's what I've tried:
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer
    I reinstalled the printer drivers
I have tried reinstalling under a different name
Any suggestions? Can someone tell me where the printer preferences file is so I can manually delete it then reinstall the printer drivers? Is there a tool for the P2035N to uninstal EVERYTHING related to it?
    Thanks.

    Hi Paul,
I afraid the P1505 currently not yet supported on Windows 8.
According the official statement a driver should be available till the end of 2012, I would believe it will be a bit dilayed and will become available in several weeks.
Please check the following link in the near feature, as soon as the driver will become available you will be able to download it from that page.

  • HP LaserJet P1505 / Windows 7

I have one problem with P1505 , i have install PC HP with Windows 7.
But not print , for 1 or 2 print is ok after NO.
    Solution for this problem ?

    Hi @AlessandroLeade ,
I see by your post that you can print one or two pages and then it won't continue to print. I can help you.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector)
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
For the Laserjet P1505, make sure the USB cable is connected directly to the PC and not in a hub or docking station.
Clear out the Spool folder and restart the Print Spooler.
How to Clear Current Print Queue In Windows Vista & Windows 7.
Try printing from another application to see if you have the same results.
    Try your application again.
From the application your printing from, go to File, Print, Number of copies select 2. Uncheck Collate. You can now change the number of copies. Collate should now stay unchecked.
Try printing the multiple page document again.
If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the printer software.
    Uninstalling the Printer Software.

    Try printing again.

  • Laserjet p1505 stopped working

I have a laserjet p1505 that stopped working on my pc (window vista ultimate, 32 bit).  When I check the printer queue, it shows the document is waiting to print, but nothing happens.
I checked and switched the usb and connections, deleted and reinstalled the drivers.  Eventually (and because it had to be done anyway), I reformatted my hard drive and once again reinstalled the software from scratch. Again, the same problem.  Interestingly, when I connect my laptop (same operating system) directly to the printer, it works.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Kathy

I would like to clarify that you have 2 computer, the same OS, one is PC and another is the laptop, you installed the same driver on both of them, via the same kind of connection - USB connection, but PC doesn't work,, and the laptop works. Is it the problem you are facing now? If it is the case, I suspect that issue is related to your PC itself.
To help your diagnostic this issue, I suggest that you can install the PDU (printing diagnostic utility) on your PC to do some troubleshooting. You can get the tool from P1505's product page:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=Im-69712-2&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&...

  • Setting up new HP Laserjet CP1525nw wirelessly with Time Capsule

Im having issues setting up my new HP Laser printer via wirelessly with Time Capsule. I have tried with the Wireless Client Setup
Assistant but cannot get it to work. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I tried to get the CP1525nw set up on my computer here at the office and found, much to my chagrin, that the CP1525 is not supported under 10.7 and retroactively not supported under 10.6. The way that I have found to get around the issue is to connect it wirelessly via a static IP address and use a generic postscript driver. I'm hoping that they will release a driver to Apple soon, but until then, generic is the only way to go and I have not found any print quality issues.

  • HP LaserJet P1102w Wireless setup

So I'm currently living on camus, and I had finishing building my own desktop, without CD reader. And my printer is in no position of reaching my USB ports for my desktop. I'm trying to setup my printer for wireless printing, but my campus uses, Myresnet. Basically in order to setup / allow things to use wifi here I need to put in their MAC address. Anyone know how to find the MAC Address AND set up my wireless printing WITHOUT the CD? Also I do not have my manual / recipe. It's been several months, and previously I was using my laptop to print via wired cable, but it seems tedious to plug in my laptop and print things on that. If it can't be done. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet.

    Hi @VertTeaCal ,
I understand that you would like to setup the printer over the wireless network, but you need the Mac Address for the printer. I would be happy to help you out today.
You can get that information by Printing a Configuration Page.

  • HP Laserjet 1010 & Wireless printing via Airport USB - Not working in SL

    Hi There,
After just upgrading to Snow Leopard on my MacBook I tried printing wirelessly to my HP Printer, but no luck!
    Printer: HP Laserjet 1010
Connected via: Airport with USB cable
Snow Leopard recognises the printer and is fine to print when the printer is connected directly to the MacBook via USB cable, but:
When I set up wireless printing, it finds the printer (via Bonjour) but simply will not print. The print monitor gets to 24% or so of the file processed and then just stops & fails.
Everything was fine under 10.5 Leopard. It seems it should work, but no printing occurs! Any ideas?
    Many thanks,
    Paul

    I had a similar-sounding problem with my HP1012.
    The fix:
    a. power-cycled the Airport Extreme.
    b. Updated firmware.
    c. Select Print in an application.
For an extended discussion of what I did see here - some of this may help:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2142906&tstart=60
Actually, at this point I have two printers connected: Airport Extreme ->USB powered hub ->2 printers. One is the HP1012, the other is an HP 4300 series inkjet. Took sometime to get it right, the first hub I tried apparently was not powered enough. In that vein, one earlier thread (a response to one of my posts) pointed out the possibility that the AE -> printer USB connection might not be adequately powered, and to try using an intermediate hub. Assuming your AE is performing properly in all other respects, don't rule out a cable or other printer connection issue even if the setup was working properly before.
