HP Laserjet P2055dn prints the word JOB first

I have installed  HP Laserjet P2055dn as a local printer. But when I print a document, it prints the word 'JOB' first before printing my document. I wanted to know how to stop this option. Thank you in advance.

Yes and No. Yes, its fixed but not me. The printer resolved itself. (I don't know how). The last thing I remember is that after setting the default paper size (A4), I tried printing without changing the paper size in the printer settings, I left it as default, hit the print button, then voila! It's fixed! no more "JOB" on the first printed paper. I hope will someone will help us soon. It's been a while.

  • HP LaserJet P2055dn Printer won't print the last page of documents & envelope problem

My HP LaserJet P2055dn Printer won't print the last page of documents until i send another document, then it will print the last page of the previous document, but omit the last page of the current document.  I need to keep printing a blank page or any other page to get my previous documents completely printed.  Also, the envelopes print with large rectangular boxes on them and no address (I don't know if this is a result of the previous stated problem or not - it started happening at the same time) I use the envelope feature in Microsoft Word 2010.  I never used to have either of these problems - didn't make any changes to the system or add any software to the computer, so I know it's not that.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

This seems to be a commercial product. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!

  • HP LaserJet P2055dn prints PDF's inverted

    Hi,
I'm having a problem where PDFs are printing inverted from 10.6.1 from any of two new MacBook Pros or one MacBook Air in the office connected to a networked HP LaserJet P2055dn. The HP LaserJet P2055dn is connected to the computers wirelessly via a late model Apple Airport Extreme.
To reproduce the problem, I choose any PDF file where the background is white and the text is black and print from any of the above mentioned computers in the office and the output from the printer on paper is a black background with white text.
    I have tried:
    - Rebooting the computers, turning the printer on and off
    - Changing the color matching between in-printer, and any number of profiles on the computer
    - Saving the PDF in preview using a Quartz Filter for Black and White, Reduced File Size, Gray, etc
    - Printing from Adobe Reader
    - Changing the paper type in the print dialog box
    - Changing output resolution (600dpi, 1200dpi, etc)
    - Changing the output quality (draft, proof, etc)
    - Going through the options menu on the printer itself (no obvious related settings to be found)
I have tried this with PDFs created using Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500m (the primary source for PDFs around the office) as well as PDFs coming from the eFax on-line service (the other typical source for PDFs around the office). Color documents with black text on white backgrounds authored in Apple's Pages program print correctly with black text on white backgrounds.
If I import any of the problem PDFs into Photoshop (forcing me to choose a specific pixel resolution and pick a specific page) the resulting image prints correctly (black text on a white background).
I have tried printing problem PDFs using Preview, Adobe Reader and PDF Pen.
My first thought was to update the printer drivers, but HP's customer support site says that there are no driver downloads for this printer for Snow Leopard because Snow Leopard ships with the latest drivers.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
    Jeremy

I should note that these documents print normally on an LaserJet 1320n, and always have.
Furthermore, when viewed onscreen using Pages, they appear normal. Since what we do is "fill out" these forms using Pages, we put black text on the scanned image and then print it. The scanned image comes out in negative, while the text comes out black as intended. Net result: black text on a black background, just in case you didn't follow that.
So there's something screwy about the image itself and how the printer and/or driver handles it.
More data: this happens with multiple computers, all running the same version of the OS, all with the latest printer drivers. Only one of the computers has the Fujitsu software on it. The rest do not.
It happens consistently, each and every time the document is printed. It is not a random occurrence. But whether or not it happens in the first place does seem to be random. I.e., we cannot nail down which documents cause the problems and which do not. I am having a test run to see if OCR'ing the document using the FineText (or whatever it's called) OCR program solves the problem.
I'll also have a go at letting ColorSync "reduce the file size" to see if that does something to the image that helps us out.
Will post more as I find out more...

  • Hp laserjet 4m printer, the greatest printer in the world vs 10.5

I have an old HP laserjet 4m printer. This is the best investment I ever made for my business. It has been a great workhorse, always reliable. Now with Leopard it does not work. The print driver sees the printer and allows about 2 seconds of connectivity, then it dis-engages and flushes the print job. Anyone find a work around for this? Every app does the same thing. I am using the LaserJet 4M printer driver supplied by apple.
Also is anyone else haveing trouble saving files to an external hard drive from Adobe products running Leopard?

  • HP Laserjet P2055dn printing erratically

We have setup the P2055dn printer on our network (most PC's are Win 7 Pro - 64 bit).  When printing large documents the printer will not print all of the pages missing a few of them.
Also when printing multiple copies the printer only prints 1 or 2 not all of the requested copies.

There's no printer setting for BITMAP.  However, I did find 2 settings that I changed.
    1.  In the PRINT window there was a drop down asking for document and markup.  I changed this to just document.
    2.  There was a checkbox that says:  PRINT AS IMAGE.  I clicked this.
NOW, it prints fast like all of my other stuff.  I'm not sure which of the above 2 items did the trick but it did.  Now I have to figure out how to set these as DEFAULT SETTINGS.
What do you use to open PDF files if not Adobe Reader?  Last week I moved Adobe Reader to the trash but none of my PDF files would open without it.
    I appreciate any comments suggestions.

  • Why does my laser jet p2055dn print the whole page black 100% coverage.

Purchased over 1 year ago but just opened the box from original packing and successfully installed. All pages printed exit printer completely black.

A black page is usually a Toner issue, or the contact wires inside the 2055 that pass voltages to the toner
from the high voltage power supply.
Can you verify the toner is good ?
If so, remove the toner and observe inside the 2055 cavity on the left side at the bottom. You should see three bowed wires
in a row going from front to rear. If you flip them with your finger they'll sound like a guitar spring. Each wire should look
basically the same as the others. If not, then it could have gotten bent...
I've had luck straightening them, but it takes some doing..
You could have a bad hivoltage PS.

  • LaserJet P2055dn is not printing the last page

Hello! Our LaserJet P2055dn prints all pages in a multipage document but not the last one. When a new document is sent to the printer, it first prints the final page of the previous document, then the new document (again without the last page). If a one page document is printed, it works without a problem.
Anyone know how to solve this?

  • HP Laser Jet 1020 printing again the last job

    Hello there!
I have a printer HPLaser Jet 1020 which, after reboot, of the computer when switching ON the printer, it immediately begins printing the last job that was sent to the printer before the computer had been switched OFF.
I have checked the printing queue before turning OFF the computer and it is empty.
This problem does not happen every reboot, but happens very often and I haven't been able to find the pattern, nor the cause. I've tried it in two different computers and the same problem occurrs. Has anybody else had the same problem?
By the way, I have Windows XP in both computers and the drivers have been downloaded from the HP web-site.
    Thanks!

Hi, have you tried to disable bidirectional support'?

  • I can only print first 80 or so pages after I download firefox - if I do a system restore and uninstall firefox, the problem goes away... until I download firefox again and then I again can only print the first 80 or so pages - even if I am using IE!

This began when business increased in January and our print jobs got big (printing invoices off the internet). It can print any small job no problem but if it's over 80 or so pages, it will stop and show a spooling error. I have done system restores and uninstalled firefox and then Internet Explorer will print the big jobs UNTIL I REINSTALL FIREFOX. Then the problem resurfaces whether using firefox or IE!!! Why?! I don't care why - how do I fix it? All 13 other computers use firefox and that is how my staff is trained. I hate IE.
