Hp laserjet p3005d connection problem with windows 7 os

my laptop has windows 7 os but the hp laserjet p3005d connection keeps droping. The message says " the device connected via usb has malfunctioned and not recognised by windows" . restarting the printer solves the problem but this is very frequent now. I have even installed the hp universal driver but still no relief. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!!!!!

This seems to be a commercial product. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!
You can find the Commercial Laserjet board here:

  • IPOD CONNECTIVITY PROBLEM WITH WINDOWS XP VIA USB 2.0

    Enough is enough.
I have an ipod touch and I am having difficulty connecting it to my pc via usb 2.0.
I have searched the entire web and came across many cases similar or the same as mine. It's time for apple to face the fact that there is something wrong with either the apple mobile service or the apple usb drivers or the itunes software that causes connectivity problems with win xp.
For the record my case is this:
I got my itouch 3 days ago. I installed itunes 8.0. Then I plugged in my ipod to a usb extension cable port connected to a usb at the back of my desktop computer. At first I got the "this usb device can perform faster if you plug it to a usb 2.0 port etc." message. So I did. I removed the extension cable and connected it directly to one of the usb ports at the back. The first time it synchronized, it seemed fine. So I decided before I do anything with it, to update it to the 2.1 version. I made my account and bought (very bad policy there apple, it should be free or at least cheeper than 8 euro) the 2.1 update. I clicked to update the i-touch. While it was updating it crashed during the restore process (because it was disconnected but I didn't know that at the time). I unplugged it, resetted and plugged it back and managed to continue the restoring process until it was updated. After figuring out itunes I chose the "manage files manually option", kept everything unchecked in the sync options except the applications. I noticed there were random disconnections here and there but I didn't pay much attention because they weren't very frequent.
The next day I plug in the touch again and suddenly I hear that annoying "connecting-disconnecting" sound from windows while my touch kept disappearing and reappearing in itunes. Suddenly my playlists disappeared from the touch. Nothing was in the touch any more. How could that happen since i had chosen to manage my files manually instead of synchronizing? So I unplugged the touch again, restarted the touch, restarted the pc, stopped and restarted the apple mobile service, unistalled and reinstalled itunes, searched microsoft support and read many usb troubleshooting documents in the web. Nothing happened. The touch randomly keeps disconnecting from the usb. I eventually managed to put my stuff back in and keep them there.
    Here's what I know:
    1) There is nothing wrong with my usb ports. I don't use usb hubs, they are usb 2.0, the voltage (500mA) is correct in the device manager. Everything else works fine there.
    2) The ipod touch does not support disk mode so you can't see it under "my computer" and this is not a problem.
3)There is nothing wrong with the ipod, it works perfectly.
    4) This is not a usb cable physical problem.
    5) The five R's are irrelevant with this situation.
Uninstalling and reinstalling itunes doesn't solve the problem, neither does hard resetting the ipod.
    6) Older PC configurations seem to be more affected by this but it doesn't have to do with unsupported specific chipsets.
    Here's what needs investigating:
    1) There may be a problem with the apple mobile service running on win XP.
    2) There may be a problem with the apple usb driver and win XP or older motherboards.
    3) There may be a 2.1 firmware issue with usb 2.0 connectivity.
Workaround so you don't go nuts:
Use USB 1.1 instead of 2.0. It is A LOT slower but it keeps the connection stable and you can work with the ipod. Just start copying and go do something else for the next hour. So far it works for me.
This is a serious issue that needs immediate attention. I've stumbled across forum discussions dating to 2005 with this problem (with older ipods of course).

I think this needs to be put down to the eternal PC/Mac argument. Apple dont want to fix this as they want everyone to buy a Mac. Its a business, understandable, but in turning away PC buyers they alienate a huge percentage of the market.
Now, I had my first iTouch stolen. It synced, for the most part, very well, just occasionally it removed settings and music, but ticking boxes each time I sync'd sorted that, Its a workflow procedure.
SO, now that my Touch has been replaced, iTunes cannot see it. The PC can identify it on USB1 or USB2, My work lap top can see it and has indeed upgraded it to V2 software, just in case that was the issue, but no. For some really weird reason Itunes on my desktop cannot see the new pod.
This does not make sense with the argument that Apple software doesnt work on a PC, but doesnt help that none of the Apple support staff, phone or in-store have a clue about Windows operations.
Because my Touch has now been trying to connect to 6 separate installs of itunes, multiple USB ports, multiple USB cables, a complete overhaul of the registry settings (everything else still works), and the loss of all my previous settings and backups from the last Touch... but still, the PC says its an ipod but cant install it, iTunes sits there, dumb.
The only thing I can do now is sell the device as brand new as it has never had music on it and is just a week old...
It has changed the MiniMac I was going to have for my new flat screen TV into a PC and suggests that anyone with a PC should stick to devices that run on PC, of which there are many, just without the user interface of the dear departed IPod Touch.
    Thanks

  • Connectivity problems with Windows 7

I have connectivity problems with a Windows 7 machine. It's just lose the wireless connection from time to time, usualy "forgeting" Default Gateway. Any ideas? Please not the same machine did work very well on previus router: the problems did start after I installed Time Capsule as the main gateway. Thanks a lot.

Make sure you setup the TC with SMB compliant names.. short .. no spaces.. pure alphanumeric.
Use fixed channels.. not auto. Set a different name for 5ghz so it doesn't get mixed up between bands.
Check you have the latest drivers for the particular wireless card in the PC.. eg if a laptop don't download drivers from the laptop manufacturer.. get the ones from the wireless card.

  • Apple Airport 802-11n connection problems with Windows 7

I'm basically a MAC user, but my son is trying to get his Windows 7 Toshiba laptop to connect to my Apple 802-11n wifi. It will see the wifi, but when clicked on my network the connection fails before I get to input the password. Yet neighborhood 802-11n connections get to the password screen. The lap[top is a Toshibe satellite L755-S5107 running Windows 7.
I'm not very savvy on PCs, so I don't know where to look for versions of his software et al.
    Anyone familiar with such problems?

Toshiba may be doing something different than other manufacturers, so your best bet might be a Toshiba support site.

  • Apple keyboard and mouse connection problems with windows 7

    Hello everyone,
I just completed the installation of windows 7 home premium on my bootcamp partition, and even though in the beginning my keyboard worked properly after installing some windows updates it stopped working.
So, i tried to reinstall the specific bootcamp drivers(as described in installation guide), I also tried repair drivers but the problem continues!
Has anyone experienced something like this ? Could you advise me something?
    Thank you!

    Hi lolarennt,
Have just done the same as you on the same system.  It took over 12 hours of mucking around. Had lots of problems with the black screen issue, mouse not working, failing to load error message 0x80070071 ( all this from memory... saw it a few times LOL).  The bottom line was I started up in Mac version and using disk utility repaired permissions and then started a fresh and sixth install.  To cut a long story short,  this fixed my installing issues. My mouse didn't work initially, an issue with  "DPInst.exe" something to do with the 64 bit install.  I then updated the win7 programme using the update windows function and things now work fine.  Granted the mouse does take a short while to work after starting Win7(10seconds or so) but no further problems...yet!  BTW I had to update something like 79 installs totalling over 250mb and if you go down this path don't interrupt the updating process, because you'll have to restore and redo the updates ( I did thinking the system had shutdown).  I only updated win7 not any other MS programme.  Enjoy

  • How do I solve connection problems with Windows-PCs on a AirPort network?

I have a AirPort network with 1 AP Extreme (dual band)  in bridge modeextended with two dualband AP Express and one 1st gen. AP Express. With only Macs all computers connect without problem, but when introducing PCs running Windows (7 or 8) on my wireless network both Windows and Macs often get problems getting an IP-adress from my router. When resetting my router problem is solved for a while.
    Anyone with a solution?

You're going to have to be more specific with the issues, errors and diagnostic messages that you are encountering, and what particular configuration you are seeing to establish.
Screen sharing is available from Mac to Mac, and from Windows once you load a VNC client on the Windows box such as TightVNC or some other VNC client, and configure and connect it.
Here are some notes on getting Windows file clients to connect to a Mac OS X Server SMB Samba file server; you have to drop some of the Windows security requirements to allow it to connect to the Mac OS X Server box.
Microsoft Office Outlook isn't traditionally used with mail servers other than Microsoft Exchange Server.  (While Outlook was good with Exchange Server and has likely gotten better over the years, it was classically rather poor when working with SMTP servers.)  More commonly, Outlook Express (and now called Windows Mail) is used for this, or Mozilla Thunderbird, or another SMTP-capable mail client.
One of the first things you will want to ensure here is correct and functional DNS on your LAN; other services are entirely dependent on DNS, and your ISP DNS cannot provide valid DNS for a LAN behind a NAT device.  Launch Terminal.app and issue the command sudo changeip -checkhostname and see if you get an indication that DNS is correct and no changes are required, or that there are DNS errors.  (You will need to enter an administrative password for the sudo command to be accepted.)
To connect and use a mail server on the Internet, you'll need to have a public static IP address and a correct public DNS configuration, or (far less desirably, and rather more complex) a way to tunnel from a non-static IP address over to a mail gateway service of some sort.  Having static IP and correct DNS is the usual approach.

I have been using an infrared adapter for USB but recently had to do a wipe and reload of the XP and was hoping there might be something better then that method.

  • IPhone connection problems with Windows 7

Hello there and greetings from Sweden! Before summer holiday, I installed Windows 7 on my laptop.
It is really fast in comparison to Windows Vista, and I am looking forwards to its release.
I have found no major flaws within the system, except one.
Being an owner to a iPhone, I have installed Itunes on my laptop since I wish to syncronize(?) music to my phone.
Windows 7, on the other hand has caused a problem to Itunes. Connecting my iPhone causes the phone to charge, but it does not turn up in Itunes.
I have tried with both my iPhone a friends phone with the same result. I have also re-installed Itunes but with no success. It doesnt connect at all (even though both phones charge).
It worked fine in the past on both a Vista and XP system.
If anyone has had any similar problems, please post how you solved it. It would be appreciated =)

    Hi FabianLef
Take a look at the last couple of posts in the following thread.

This looks very similar to your issue.
If that doesn't help, you might want to scan some of the threads in the following search.

  • HP LaserJet 1022 driver problem with Windows 7

Hello Abzozo1.  I understand you're getting the "webcam not detected" error.
What is the exact product number of the notebook?  This document can show you where it is located.
Has the webcam ever worked since you upgraded the operating system?
To ensure that you have all of the software installed properly I suggest installing the HP Software Framework and HP Support Assistant.  You can then run HP Support Assistant and it will automatically install any missing software.  If that doesn't resolve the issue I suggest you take a look at my thread located here.  This thread covers the common solutions to this error.
Take a look at that thread and let me know if any of the steps help.
Have a great day!  I'll keep an eye out for your next reply.

  • I am having a problem with Windows Fusion installed on a MacBook.

I am having a problem with Windows Fusion installed on a MacBook OS 10.  When attempting to use a Browser, (either IE, or Chrome), under Windows Fusion, I cannot browse to ANY page except Gmail.com.
I checked all security settings, and found no problem. Neither browser will allow me to do ANYTHING other than go to Gmail.com!!!
I am not sure if I have some virus on my Windows side, because Google and Safari both work perfectly on my Apple side, just not when running Windows Fusion.
Is there some setting I am missing, or do you think I have malware/virus issues?? My Internet connection is DEFINITELY working fine - I can send, receive, open, and close all my email on Gmail only, and can navigate freely on Gmail, but cannot get to any other site even hyperlinked to Gmail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

If you've already tried my previous suggestions, it may be that something has tampered with the DNS settings in your Windows VM, which might bypass the settings your Mac uses. Assuming you're using Windows 8, these instructions explain how to check and change the DNS settings. There's also a link in those instructions listing a variety of suggested DNS settings. If you do try changing the settings, record what the settings currently are in case you want to return to them.

  • Problems with Windows VISTA and WPA-2

    Hi Guys,
I am using a Linksys router supporting draft-N; it seems that after some time of usage; Windows Vista stop being able to connect to Linksys using a WPA-2 PSK.
Everytime you search for the SSID and attempt to connect, the ''network is taking too long to connect''' and Windows always informs the user that ''limited or no connectivity'' even though the signal strength is excellent.
Is that a common problem in Windows Visa (I am using Home Edition)?

Yes thats the basica command problem with Windows Vista while connecting to the Wireless Network.... In this you can need to update your Windows Vista OS with all the Latest Patches and the Service Pack to improve more stability on your Vista Computer to get connected to the Wireless Network..

  • Adobe Connect issues with Windows 7

Has anyone found a solution to the problems Adobe Connect has with Windows 7?

Sounds like something is blocking network traffic. I'm not aware of any Windows 7 specific issues. I've used Windows 7 with connect for 2 years with no Windows specific issues.
I'd call support at 800-945-9120 and see if they can indentify the issue and give you a resolution.
