I have HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf Multifunction Printer And i lost the driver cd. Now i want to connect my printer to different pc which has windows 2002. What can i do? I didnt find any driver for this computer in hp drivers pages. Please help me...

    Couple of questions: how were you originally installing the printer: USB, LAN cable, wirless? Which software did you try to install: Full Solution or the host based driver (basic print driver)?
    My first suggestion would be to uninstall all software and make sure that you delete all the HP folders for this printer from your C:// drive. Reboot your system and try again.

  • HP Laserjet Pro M1136 Multifunction printer installation problem

    Dear Team,
    Recently purchased HP Laserjet Pro M1136 MultiFunction printer. But it is not installing HP scan software. But scanner is working by default drivers.
    Printer is not identifying when i am trying to install printer drivers.....?
    System drivers updated and USB drivers also updated. But no luck 
    HP Scan doctor also installed. But same issue. HP scan is not identying
    Printer connected to HP Omni 200 PC 5320il all in one system.

    Hi, my printer HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf Mfp, suddenly didnt work so i remove the printer, and downloaded a new driver  http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-LaserJet-Pro-M1536-Multifunction-Printer-series/3974271/model/3974278#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1 once dowloaded, i run it and uninstall the printer, restart my pc, and proceed to installing. but in the process of installing a error occurr, saying that "Unable to add printer, error code 87", and that " HP Toolbox FX has encountered an error and can not recover. once i click ok. it tells me to restart my pc and reinstall it again. i did it for 8x, and still with the same error. please help really need a help right now. as my boss is going to kill me

    I understand that you're getting the error 'Unable to add print driver hpfax1, error code 87' when installing your HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf Multifunction Printer on your Windows 7 computer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this install issue. Thank you for including all of the troubleshooting steps that you have completed prior to reaching out for support. At this time I am going to walk you through some additional software and driver troubleshooting steps. Please follow all of the steps below.  If you're using your HP Laserjet through a USB Cable connection, please disconnect that cable now.  Step one: Remove Driver: 1. Click on your Start menu 2. Select Control Panel 3. Select Programs and Features 4. When Programs and Features opens a list of programs installed on your computer will populate. Click on the 'Installed ON' tab at the top to change the date so the recently installed items show at the top. This will make it easier to manually locate the three HP Laserjet items you need to uninstall.  5. Next, look for the HP LJ M1530 MFP Series HP Scan, HPLaserJetHelp_LearnCenter, and HP LaserJet Professional M1530 MFP Series. If you see any 3 of these, or all 3 of these items, please click on them and select Uninstall.   Once you have confirmed that those three items have been uninstalled, please close Programs and Features and proceed to the next step.   Step 2: Clear Temp Files:  Click on your Start menuIn the 'search programs and files' box located right above Start after you click on it, type %temp% and hit enter on your keyboardWhen the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will now highlight.Select the 'delete' button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains temporary internet files. No actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting the Temp files.     Hello,
    I'm consdering about buying HP Laser Jet Pro M1212nf MFP Printer.
    I feel like it's the printer that has all the specs that I need.... Except for automatic duplex printing.
    Automatic duplex printing is super important to me and I'm sad that the M1212nf does not provide it.
    However, I did see that it has duplex printing driver support.
    I was wondering what this driver support is (I've been spending hours on the web trying to get a definition but nothing!)
    and if it will work on a Mac, I saw couple threads that said that some HP printers don't offer duplex printing driver support for mac computers.
    So basilally, I'm wondering how the duplex printing will work if I install the driver support.

    Is there a driver only download for the M1212nf? I have a user with one who is unable to print during remote desktop sessions. I'm sure I need to install the driver on the remote desktop host server, but the only thing I've been able to find is the full-blown driver install app, which requires the printer be plugged into the machine you're installing the driver on. Must I really physically attach the printer to my server just to get the driver installed?

    For printing through a server, this is not something that is supported through HP. If you want to print from a remote computer a work around that you can use is the Google Cloud Print. I have included the link 'Google Cloud Print'.

  • HP LaserJet Pro M1217nfw Multifunction Printer - No TWAIN Compliant is installed.

    I was trying to scan using the LaserJet Scan.  However, I have received a message "There is no TWAIN-compliant device installed.  Please install one and try again".  I have searched on google but I was unable to find one.  Please also note that I was also trying to uninstall the driver, but I was unable to do so because it stated that one or more of the printers listed above have pending print jobs.  Printers with pending jobs cannot be removed until the jobs are completed.

    Download the and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it.

    Create a restore point on the computer. So this way we can always go back to that restore date.
    Go to the start up screen, (tiles menu) type in restore point. Then follow the document provided.

    Setting up the Administrator Rights on Windows 8.
    Where Do I Change User Privileges in Windows 8?
    Create a new profile. Create a user account . 
    On the Windows 8, hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box.
    Check the Windows Image Acquisition Services:
    On the Windows 8, hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box.
    Type in services.msc and click on OK.
    In the Window, please right click on Windows Image Acquisition Service and then click on Properties.
    In the Properties window, please click on Dependencies window and check the dependencies.
    It should be “Remote Procedure Call” and “Shell Hardware Detection”. If you find anything else, please advise.
    Close the Properties window.
    In the main Services window, in the list make sure Windows Image Acquisition Service shows 'Started' in the Status column and 'Automatic' for the Startup Type. If the option to stop is available, click stop and then click start.
    In the main Services window, in the list make sure that Remote Procedure Call (RPC) shows as 'Started' in the Status column and 'Automatic' for the Startup Type.
    In the main Services window, in the list make Shell Hardware Detection services shows as 'Started' in the Status column and 'Automatic' for the Startup Type.
    If the other two in the services are not started, please restart these services and then restart the Windows Image Acquisition service. Just right click and select start on each one.
    Temporarilty turn off the Antivirus software, since it may stop the services.
    When you run the installation, right click on it and Run as Administrator.
    I have provided some more steps, just in case you still are having the Twain error.
    file being in the wrong directory when the install gets done.
    Hence the scanning works from MSPaint or Windows Scan and Fax programs but not from HPs Scan App.
    The directions are quite simple and are as follows:
    Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box, type %temp%. You will see the  7z..... folder that extracted your web pack for the printer.
    In this folder, navigate to drivers\scanner\x32\ folder.
    Copy the HPWTIOP4.DLL from this folder.
    Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'E' key. Then go  to Program Files (x86)\HP\DigitalImaging\Bin folder and past the HPWTIOP4.DLL in there.
    Try scanning again.

    One thing you need to check is if your internet connection is intermittent. If it is not, you can follow these steps to give the printer a better connection.
    1. Find your printer's IP address by printing a network configuration page.
    2. Type you IP address into the address bar of your web browser.
    3. Click on the network tab at the top of the page.
    4. Look at the left hand side and click IPv4 under wireless.
    5. Change the IP settings to Manual.
    6. Enter the printer's IP address, your subnet mask, and your routers IP address or default gateway in the spaces.
    7. Set the Preferred DNS to 8.8.8.8.
    8. Set the Alternate DNS to 8.8.4.4.
    9. Click apply.(You may need to refresh the page if it says processing for longer than a min and click apply again.)
    The printer should have a better connection now.

  • HP LaserJet Pro M1217nfw Multifunction Printer –job prints repeatedly by AirPrint from iOS 6 devices

    HP would like to make customers aware of an issue with its LJ M1217nfw and LJ M1218nfs printers. When using AirPrint from an iOS 6 device (e.g. iPhone or iPad) with the iOS 6 OS, the print job will print continuously unless the customer cancels the job manually.
    The reason: the latest FW available on HP.com (version 20120901) does not support AirPrint from Apple iOS devices (e.g., iPhone or iPad) with iOS6 OS. This will be fixed in the next version of firmware.
    To avoid this issue, please use this workaround while waiting of the fix in the next release of FW. The previous verion of FW (version20120206) for M1217nfw does not have this issue.
    To deal with this issue, customer can select any one of the operations to terminate the print job:
    Cancel job manually in ‘Print Center’ from  iOS device
    Double –click the Home button to display recently used apps
    Swipe left or right to find ‘Print Center’
    Tap ‘Printer Center’ and click ‘Cancel Printing’
    Another option is to Power Cycle the printer.

    The HP M1212nf used the Host-Based printing language, such printing language is not recommended Citrix or Terminal Services envoirnment and not officially supported.. you may try using the Citrix UPD on the server by installing the basic driver for yor printer on the client:

  • HP LaserJet Pro 200 m251nw - Printing Gray instead of Black

    HI,
    Hoping someone can help. I'm currently using a HP LaserJet Pro 200 m251nw printer, just over a year old, and it all of sudden started printing gray where it should be 100% black. From what I can see all the other colors seem to work fine. 
    I saw similar posts but nothing clear.
    A new black toner cartridge was replaced, system settings restored, multiple cleanings, etc. I currently use a Mac Laptop running Mavericks with the latest drivers that I downloaded.
    Am I out of luck? Is this beyond a software issue?

    Thanks for providing that information clodsgn.
    Since the self test is printing in gray, it would be a hardware issue. Possibly the toner, hardware or the fuser.
    What are all the toner levels?
    This can affect the output of the black printing.
    Are you using all Genuine HP Toner?
    The options are probably different, since you changed to Laserjet 251nw drivers. You can change driver back if you like.
    Since right now we are looking at a hardware issue.
    Run a calibration on the printer.
    On the printer touch the wrench, system setup, print quality, color calibration calibrate now.
    Print a Diagnostics Page to see if you have the same results. Trying to determine if it is a hardware or software issue.
    Go to Setup, Reports, arrow down and select Diagnostics Report. Check the color blocks, any shadows, each corner check the L-shaped to see if the printer is alignment.

    Start at the section for Check toner cartridge status and finish up on Check the paper and printing environment.
